Lucy, Cooper and the Burned Man, Joshua Graham
One of the characters I probably would like to see in season two of the Amazon is Joshua Graham, the preacher from New Vegas' Honest Hearts DLC.
The nature of his perseverence, even after so much suffering, would create a nice narrative foil to Cooper's cynicism and Lucy's hardening heart even as she tries to remain a good person.
Lines from Joshua Graham I particularly love are these:
"I survived because the fire inside burned brighter than the fire around me. I fell down into that dark chasm, but the flame burned on and on.
"The next morning, I woke up and crawled out of the northern edge of the Grand Canyon, that cursed place. It took me three months to reach New Canaan"
"It was as though the prodigal son had returned. They welcomed me like I had never left, never done anything to shame them."
"The fire that had kept me alive was love. Their love. God's love. I will never be able to repay the debt I owe to them, but I must try."
That particular line would probably be something that Lucy might take in. The love she has for the people she cares for like her brother, the other dwellers of vault 33, the memory of her mother, from Max, heck, depending on the direction of Lucy's and The Ghoul's relationship in the second season, maybe even Cooper himself.

After being targeted by three different shootings over a three-week period, Democrats have decided to close one of their field offices in a must-win swing state out of concern for the safety of staff and volunteers.
According to USA TODAY, the Arizona Democratic Party is closing a field office in Tempe, Arizona (outside of Phoenix) for the remainder of the campaign cycle. The Arizona Republic's Mary Jo Pitzl reported that staffers are now continuing their work at different undisclosed locations after the office was repeatedly hit by both BB gun pellets and firearm rounds.
No one was killed or injured in the shootings, as they took place late at night when no one was inside the building. Police currently are still searching for the suspects, but are asking the public for help identifying the driver of a silver Toyota Highlander that was spotted in the vicinity following the most recent shooting on October 6.
Field offices are typically used by campaigns as central locations to coordinate canvassing operations, distribute lawn signs and conduct volunteer phone banking shifts. The Tempe office is one of 18 field offices for Vice President Kamala Harris in the Grand Canyon State, so the closure is unlikely to significantly hamper Democrats' organizing efforts in Arizona.
The third shooting at the Tempe office came just days before Harris visited Arizona to campaign in Phoenix. The first shooting, which happened on September 16, was done with a BB gun. On September 23, the building was struck by gunfire. It is unknown whether the shootings are related.
The three shootings at the Tempe office are the latest instance of political violence in the 2024 cycle, which has also seen two assassination attempts on former President Donald Trump. The first attempt on Trump's life came during a July rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, and the second attempt happened in September at one of his golf courses.
U.S. Secret Service agents speaking anonymously to NBC News have said that the task of providing around-the-clock protection of both Harris and Trump — in addition to running mates JD Vance and Tim Walz as well as President Joe Biden, former Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama along with all of their families — is leading to fatigue and burnout.
“Tensions are high and lapses of judgment are becoming more frequent,” one unnamed agent said. “If something goes wrong, you don’t have time to second guess. Everyone is so tired that you can see it’s taking time to process things and react accordingly.”
The Tempe Police Department is offering a $1,000 reward for any help that could lead to the arrest and indictment of the suspect. Tips can be called into the Silent Witness program at 480-WITNESS (948-6377), or in Spanish at 480-TESTIGO (837-8446).

Saint Louis Solidago
Summary: Rocky wants to take you somewhere... somewhere that outshines the Northern Lights, whose waters are clearer than Niagara Falls, whose sights reach further than the Grand Canyon. Or, in which you and Rocky have the bright idea to run through empty fields together.
Pairing: Rocky Rickaby/Reader (Established Relationship)
Content Warnings: None! Just fluff.
Word Count: Short drabble, 734
The grass is soft beneath your feet, but it’s nothing compared to the tenderness of the palm clasped in yours. Rocky’s laughter echoes through the sunny fields, hurriedly slinging his violin case over his shoulder. You cast a brief look over your own, seeing nothing but empty space and your now-abandoned car tucked away amongst the tall grass. White and yellow flowers dance in your vision, swaying delicately amongst the wild grass as the spring breeze flows through the rolling hillside. When you look back you see Rocky gazing back too, although instead of staring at the fields you instead find him smiling brightly at you. Although you don’t have much time to remark on this before he’s turning back around, pushing forward down the hillside and towards the treeline up ahead. He seems sure of where he’s going despite your own unfamiliarity, and against your better judgement you trust him to lead the way. Although you can’t help but ask…
“As much as I love stampeding through empty fields with you…Do I get to know where we’re going?”
“Nope!” You can practically hear the grin in his voice -- pretty blue eyes crinkling, shining with mischief -- and you can hardly keep your own smile at bay when you shoot back.
“It’s not nice to keep secrets you know.”
He laughs at this, tugging you just a bit further until you reach the trees at the end of the field. He slows his pace, casting a look off into the distance for a moment before stopping completely. The transition is so abrupt that you hardly notice it until you’re stumbling into his back, although if it’s phased him, he doesn’t let on. He turns to face you, taking your free hand in his own and clasping them to his chest. He takes a step back, and then one more to pull you behind the trunk of a large oak. His eyes widen excitedly, tail swishing as he lowers his voice.
“We,” he squeezes your hands assuringly,“Are going to a place for bleeding hearts like you and I. A place where all the poets ahead of their time retreated to draw inspiration from the glistening lakes and flowering dogwood.”
He drops one of your hands, tugging you back into his chest as he gestures dramatically ahead.
“For the sprawling beauty of nature is so often parodied in the arts of our modern society! Thus, in my everlasting endeavor to find sights that match your radiance,” he turns to you, smiling, “what better way to push forward than to plan a trip, spontaneous?”
He pauses, casting a look back at you as though checking for your reaction. You look up at him, taking in the way the filtered sunlight lights up his features. To be admiring your partner at a time like this, you think, you really must be made for one another. You grin, and his eyes sparkle.
“No time to waste then, huh?” You duck out of his grasp, now tugging him by the hand through the burgeoning forest. Only you find yourself halted in your tracks, tugged back once more into Rocky’s chest. He spins the two of you around once, then twice, words falling freely from his lips.
“Right you are! For while winter may have once rendered these lands inhospitable--”
“Rocky--”
“Our current times have proven admissible--”
“Dear--”
“The dogwood, the hawthorne, the little birds of tender wing--”
“You do know we’re still--”
“Effloresce, quicken, take flight this very spring!”
You sigh, shaking your head before shifting your impromptu waltz into an upbeat swing. Left, right, a skip and hop over the pebbles and rocks. A dance you’ve danced countless times before, despite the unfamiliar area. A twirl from your lover brings you back to him and out into the wilds yet again.
“Let’s walk and talk dear,” you laugh, taking care to dance over the barely blooming flowers, “As much as I’d love to take in the sights on the way there, I don’t think the boys behind us are all too keen on smelling the roses.”
He scoffs, “Philistines, the lot of them. You know, had they not meddled with our shipment, we wouldn’t have had to cause such a scene with the gasoline.” He clicks his tongue, spinning the two of you yet again. “And really, all of this over a little arson?”
“We’ve done more for less!”

The Entertainer II - Track 16 - On Fire
Summary: What if it wasn’t the end? What if Sky did actually see Harry at the Forum in the early 80s, and he saw her too? What if fate took hold of them both, and they realized their journey was not over? Set in 1981, Harry and Sky’s story continues with more music, more romance, and a few more twists and turns.

Track 16 Word Count: 4.8k+
Read The Entertainer
“I can’t believe this is your last day,” Donna pouted.
“Me neither,” I said, mimicking her tone. Although I was over the top thrilled about going on tour with Harry, I would miss my friend.
“Will you write? Send me a postcard or something?”
“Of course.”
Because it was a beautiful day in LA, we sat outside for lunch. As I sipped on my iced tea, I listened to Donna tell me how excited she was for me, as well as envious. It was much like my phone conversation with Halo a few nights before. Although she’d decided to get a bit more serious with me, sharing some friendly advice.
“Make sure you have condoms,” she’d instructed.
“Halo, I’m on the pill.”
“For back up. Trust me, you’ll be so busy and wild, you might forget to take a pill or something.”
“Okay. What else?” I asked, humoring her.
“Promise me you’ll call if things…don’t go as planned.”
“What do you mean?”
“You know. If this rockstar life isn’t what you thought it would be. If you wanna come home.”
I sighed. “Halo, I’m not-”
“You don’t know for sure,” she interrupted. “Harry’s an amazing guy. But…you never know what could happen. Just…call me if you’re not loving it.”
“Mary? Yoohoo, Mary, you haven’t left me already, have you?”
I blinked several times and shook my head. Donna was staring at me with a funny look on her face.
“Sorry, what did you say?”
“Gosh, you really were in your own world,” she laughed. “But it’s understandable. I asked if you were all packed.”
“Oh. Yeah, mostly. I just need to pack my toiletries and last minute items.”
“What about your apartment?”
“Harry’s taken care of it. He’s paid for my rent while I’m gone.”
“Wow! Must be nice having a famous boyfriend!”
I looked down at my plate and picked at my salad.
“I’m sorry,” Donna muttered. “I didn’t mean it like it sounded.”
“I know,” I nodded.
My friends meant well. I knew they were both happy for me, that I’d found Harry and that I was getting to embark on this journey with him. It made sense that they would be a little concerned too. And I had to admit I was a little scared. Well, I admitted it to myself. Not to anyone else. But mostly, I was just ready to leave. I was ready to live my life. My life in Los Angeles up to then had been good. It had brought me Harry in the first place. But other than the little road trips I took with Halo five years ago, and the one family trip I took to the Grand Canyon when I was ten, I had never really left the city. I was eager to learn what life could be elsewhere. I had never gotten the chance to really be anyone. Who was Sky? What was in store for her? Here, to most people other than Halo and Harry, I was still Mary Lou Jones. It was time for that to change.
“Goodbye to all my friends at home Goodbye to people I’ve trusted I’ve got to get out and make my way I might get rich, you know, I might get busted…”
“You ready, babe?” asked Harry.
“Huh? Oh, yeah,” I grinned at him sheepishly.
I’d been staring out the window, daydreaming as the planes ascended into the air, each going to a different city. The airport fascinated me. All these different people were about to embark on their own journeys. Harry smiled back, taking my hand as he handed our tickets to the attendant, and we walked down the jetway behind Mr. Irving, the rest of his band following us. Harry found our seats, insisting I take the window as I hadn’t flown since that Grand Canyon trip.
“You sure you’ll be okay?” Harry asked for the upteenth time since I’d told him.
“Yes, Harry.”
As I got buckled in, he gave my thigh a reassuring pat before taking my hand again and giving it a squeeze.
“Just let me know if you start to feel scared or…sick.”
“Okay,” I smiled at him. I loved that he wanted to take care of me. “I’m sure I’ll be fine.”
When the plane began to move quickly down the runway, however, I felt my stomach flip. I was glad Harry still had a hold of my hand. As the plane took off into the sky, and the ground below started to look farther and farther away, I had to swallow a few times to settle my queasiness. I didn’t want to let on though, so I kept my face toward the window, my eyes shut tight. As the noise began to dissipate, and the air felt suddenly cooler, I heard Harry whisper in my ear.
“You can open your eyes now, love.”
Exhaling, I turned my head to look at him. Though he didn’t poke fun, I knew he was holding back a smirk. Not to mention, I had a chokehold grip on his hand. I’d been caught.
“Sorry,” I breathed, releasing my fingers.
“It’s alright, baby. No harm done.” Then he leaned in and kissed me. “Just glad you’re okay.”
“Guess I need to get used to it.”
“You will,” he grinned. “Once the stewardess comes around, you can get something to drink and you’ll feel better.”
Not a moment too soon, I was able to get a ginger ale and a cup of ice. It was as though I hadn’t had liquid touch my lips in ages. And Harry was right, I did feel much better.
The rest of the flight was much easier, and even enjoyable. Harry and I played cards to pass the time until I started feeling sleepy. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to sleep on the plane, but I guess I did because the next thing I knew, Harry was nudging me awake, whispering sweetly in my ear to let me know we were about to land. Stretching, I realized he had laid a blanket over me, and I smiled at his nice gesture.
“What are you writing?” I asked as I sat up, noticing the pen and notebook in his hand.
“Just jotting down some lyrics,” he replied.
“Can I read?”
Harry shut the notebook and smirked at me. “Maybe when it’s finished.”
I made a face, crinkling my nose, and Harry tapped it twice with the tip of his finger.
“Meanie,” I pouted.
The descent of the plane was almost as bad as taking off, but I didn’t try to hide my fear this time. Harry took my hand as soon as the plane started to shake. He instructed me to sit back and shut my eyes, taking deep breaths. Fortunately, I made it through, and as soon as the wheels touched ground - with a few bumps - I was able to open my eyes again.
“Good job, babe,” Harry whispered.
The pilot made his final announcement, welcoming us to Lakeland, Florida. I followed Harry as we made our way off the plane and into the airport to baggage claim. He continued to hold my hand the entire time. I wasn’t sure if it was to reassure me, or just so we wouldn’t get separated in the crowd, but either way I appreciated it. I felt safe.
It wasn’t until we were almost near the exit, where supposedly cars were waiting for both Harry’s crew and Stargazer’s, that I heard the ripple of screams. Girls seemed to come out of nowhere, squealing and shouting. Though it was hard to hear exactly what they were saying, I managed to make out quite a few Harrys and several Hunters.
“Holy shit,” I gasped, squeezing Harry’s hand tighter.
“Sorry, love,” he leaned towards me. “I forgot to mention this could happen.”
I had to admit, I should have known myself. He was a star, after all. When I noticed security trying their best to keep the girls at bay so that we could get through, I took solace in the fact that Irving was right in front of us, leading the way. The exit doors were only about ten feet ahead.
Just when we were almost outside, I heard the loudest scream of them all, an outcry that almost sounded like someone was hurt.
“Haaaarrrryyyyy, I love youuu!”
While my head snapped to the left to see a girl with tears streaming down her face, Harry merely smiled and waved, like it was no big deal. It only seemed to make the girl cry harder, though her shouting had subsided.
Mr. Azoff ushered us into the first car, sliding in after me. As soon as the door closed and the vehicle began to move, I let out a long, exasperated sigh.
“Wow.”
“A lot different than you remember, huh?” asked Irving.
“Slightly,” I chuckled. “I know he’s bigger now, but I’m not sure I was prepared for that.”
“That was nothin’,” remarked Harry as he shook his head.
“Really? That girl who screamed she loved you didn’t think it was nothin’.”
“He means we’ve seen a lot worse,” explained Irving. “That was a breeze in comparison.”
I looked at Harry for additional information, but he didn’t seem to be in the mood to divulge any. Instead, I leaned my head on his shoulder and he hummed softly, lifting my hand to kiss the back of it.
When the driver pulled into a circular drive in front of a large hotel, I got excited. We were really here! I stood looking up at the massive building, the palm trees surrounding it while our luggage was retrieved. Then Harry placed his hand on my back and we made our way to the lobby. A concierge greeted us with a friendly smile just as Mitch, Danny and Bret walked in. She seemed to already know who we were when Mr. Irving shook her hand, and she gestured toward the front desk where we could check in.
Once Harry got our key, I noticed a bellhop was already waiting with our suitcases. Irving reminded Harry that we had the rest of the day to enjoy the hotel, he just had to be downstairs in the lobby by noon the next day for soundcheck.
Maybe I was off in La La Land and not paying attention, or maybe I just assumed we’d have a room like the one Harry’d had in Santa Barbara or even the one he’d reserved for us at Christmas in L.A., but for whatever reason, my jaw dropped when Harry inserted the key and opened the door to reveal a suite.
I was speechless when he smiled and gestured for me to enter the room first. I was speechless when I stood in the middle and eyed the sofa and matching chairs, the television against the wall. And I was still speechless when I walked into the bedroom with its king sized bed and amazing view of the pool while Harry thanked the bellboy.
When the door clicked shut, I heard his footsteps as I ran my hand down the lavish light blue bedding. He chuckled, gently touching my back.
“You can say something.”
“I’m just…in awe,” I breathed. “I wasn’t expecting this.”
“It’s actually the honeymoon suite,” said Harry. “I hope you don’t mind. I asked for it especially.”
I turned around swiftly. “You’re joking.”
Harry snickered. “Yeah, I am.”
I lightly jabbed him in the arm. “You’re awful.”
“Sorry, babe,” he laughed harder. “I couldn’t help it. You were so wide-eyed.”
“It’s a really nice room.”
“Yeah, it is.”
“And it could actually be a honeymoon suite. I wouldn’t have known the difference.”
“Well, there is one,” said Harry walking around the bed to the bathroom. “No heart-shaped tub.”
It was my turn to laugh as I plopped down onto the bed. “I think that’s just in movies and romance novels.”
“How’s the bed feel?”
“Come see for yourself,” I grinned.
I kicked off my shoes and Harry did the same, joining me on the bed. He hummed to himself as he adjusted the pillows to his liking, then stretched his legs out.
“What do you think?”
“I think…” he paused, then nodded, “it’s time.”
“Time for what?”
“To christen it.”
I giggled as he turned onto his side to face me. Pulling my body closer, he lightly pecked my lips before licking his own. Then he kissed me softly, slowly darting his tongue into my mouth until I urged him on with my own. When his hand slipped under my shirt, goosebumps erupted on my skin and I scooted my hips closer to his.
“Sorry, baby,” he whispered between kisses. “I should have asked if you wanted to nap first.”
“Nuh uh,” I moaned. “Nap after.”
He grinned against my mouth. “That’s what I was hoping you’d say.”
“Here come the jesters, one, two, three It’s all part of my fantasy I love the music, and I love to see the crowd Dancing in the aisles and singing out loud…”
The arena was buzzing with excitement. I hadn’t even realized until we’d arrived that it was a sold-out show. It made sense though as Stargazer was currently one of the hottest rock acts with their newest album reaching number one. And Harry’s solo album was already zooming up the charts. Their tour was certainly the hottest ticket in town, like getting two for the price of one.
I waited with Harry backstage as he strummed his guitar. While I was giddy and happy to be with him, part of me wished Halo was there. I knew she would have enjoyed it. Or perhaps I was only feeling nostalgic for the old times. While Halo was still my best friend, she had changed the most out of the two of us. Maybe she wasn’t into hanging out with rock bands anymore, and that was fine. But for just a moment I missed having her with me.
I must have been daydreaming, because next thing I knew, Harry rose from his chair and a roadie took his guitar from him. Then he turned to me with a sexy grin.
“You’ll be watching from the side, yeah?”
“Of course.”
He slid his hands around my waist, pulling me flush against his hips. “You’re so fucking gorgeous, babe. I’m gonna be thinking about you in this little dress the whole time.”
I blushed as I bit the side of my tongue. I’d slipped into a little black sundress right before we’d left the hotel. While I’d brought a variety of clothes with me, I wasn’t sure how the weather would be in Florida in February. But it was already proving to be pretty balmy. And I knew the concert - particularly watching Harry - would heat me up even more.
“I was wondering if you were gonna say anything, but I figured you had other things on your mind.”
“Are you kidding? I’ve been trying to focus on everything but. Ever since you put it on. Been trying not to get a hard-on.”
“Get serious,” I chuckled just before he covered my mouth with his.
“Harry, let’s go man.”
The voice sounded far away, but I recognized it as Mitch’s. Breaking away from the kiss, Harry leaned his forehead against mine.
“I’m so glad you’re here, Sky.”
“Me too, baby. I love you.”
“I love you more.”
The audience erupted in cheers and screams as soon as the lights went out. I took my place off stage, to the side where no one could see me, but I had a great view of the band. Mr. Irving stood beside me. As soon as the opening riff of “Ignition” rang out, the stage lights danced, and Harry strutted out on stage in all his glory. The crowd went insane. I placed my hand over my heart, feeling it pounding in my chest.
I took turns watching Harry and the band and the audience. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a good portion of the crowd singing along, particularly to the new songs. Harry had them in the palm of his hand. While he was very much the rockstar I’d known him to be, he added a few new moves and nuances to his repertoire. He had become one with the audience. He was sexy while also being approachable. He was silly while also being charming. He had matured, but he remained ever so humble.
Towards the end of their setlist, Bret kicked into a short drum solo while Harry grabbed a drink from a glass sitting on the riser. When he turned, our eyes met, and he gave me a wink. Then stepping toward the mic, he spread his arms out like wings. With a count-off from Bret, the band went into “Drunk on Her.” Once again, the crowd reacted with sheer hysteria, the front section screaming along to the lyrics. If it was at all possible, I thought it was the best the group had ever sounded on the song, even on the record. I was astounded when Harry picked up the mic stand and threw his head back, singing the last chorus as though he had mustered up even more sex appeal. Then he all but tossed the mic stand to the side, grabbing the microphone and running along the front of the stage, from one side to the next. I watched a couple of girls on the front row who were probably pissing in their pants, especially when he stopped right in front of them, knelt down and sang right to them. With the hugest wide grin, he stood back up, turned around, raised his arms again, and counted with the band for the big finish.
“Oh shit, Styles is on fire tonight,” I heard a voice say behind me.
I turned my head to see Hunter and his band. I hadn’t even realized they’d been standing there, nor for how long. I had been so lost in Harry’s performance.
“He’s something, isn’t he?” I beamed.
“Damn right.”
When I turned back around to look at Harry again, Hunter - or maybe it was one of his bandmates - muttered something that I couldn’t quite make out. But I thought it sounded like “...and a lucky motherfucker.” I wasn’t sure what that could mean. Was he referring to me?
Quickly dismissing the remark, I returned my attention to my boyfriend who was indeed on fire, giving the crowd exactly what they’d come for, and more. Finishing another of his new songs, he spoke into the microphone, thanking everyone for coming to the show.
“This has been the best night of my life,” he said, his hand over his heart. “Thank you for sharing it with me.”
Then he went into one of Wildfire’s biggest hits. I watched in awe and with a lump in my throat as he sang his heart out. His long curls had gotten messy, his chest glistening with sweat. I couldn’t tell if I was more proud or turned on. I almost had to laugh at myself. The feeling was overwhelming as I clutched my hands together, singing along just like the people in the front row.
When the song came to an end, and Harry said thank you again and goodnight, he jogged off stage to where I stood. He scooped me up in his arms, lifted me up and spun me around, making me dizzy. I giggled as I smiled down at him. I could hear the hoots and hollers around us from the other men, but I paid no attention in that moment. All that mattered was Harry and the way he was looking at me.
“You were amazing!” I exclaimed as he brought me back down.
“Fantastic, man!” agreed Hunter, clapping along to the still shouting audience.
The rest of the band made their way off stage then, joining our circle. Everyone cheered each other on, sharing compliments and camaraderie.
“Thanks, mate,” I heard Harry say after he’d given his final hug. “I could use a drink.”
“C’mon, I think some champagne is in order,” announced Mr. Azoff, taking us all by surprise.
“Coulda used some of that before the show,” laughed Bret.
“It’s for celebrating,” Irving tutted.
“Hell, any time’s good for celebrating, is what I say.”
We followed Irving backstage where he had a bottle waiting in the dressing room. He let Harry do the honors, the cork opening with a loud pop. We all cheered again as he began to fill glasses. Then Mr. Irving gave a lovely speech about Harry and his band, congratulating them on a triumphant first show.
After just a few minutes, it was time for Stargazer to take the stage. Harry and I stayed back for just a moment as we finished our champagne. But mostly, I think he wanted to be alone with me.
“Sky…” he murmured, pushing a strand of hair behind my ear. “I can’t even explain how that felt.”
“I could tell you felt great out there. I think you sounded better than ever.”
“Not just the performing,” he said. “But knowing you were here. Looking over and seeing you. God, that felt so fucking amazing, babe.”
“Really?”
“Yeah.”
His hand on my neck, he tilted his head and brushed his lips against mine. I sighed and he deepened the kiss, his sweet tongue filling my mouth. The sound of the crowd’s cheers finally broke our kiss and Harry grinned.
“There’s another band to watch.”
“This time I get to watch with you,” I smiled.
Taking my hand, we joined the rest of his band on the side of the stage. Perhaps I was being a bit biased, but I didn’t seem to hear any difference in the level of noise between Harry’s opening song and Stargazer’s. They were a really good, tight band though, and I enjoyed watching them. During their second song, I suddenly felt Harry’s hand on my hip as I swayed to the rhythm.
“Wish their set was as short as mine,” he said in my ear.
“Why?”
“Because you’re killing me in this dress.”
I eyed him with a cheeky grin, moving my hips even more. I laughed when he narrowed his eyes and mouthed “I need it OFF!”
I licked my lips seductively at him, biting the bottom one before I walked around him to the backstage hallway. I waited for just a moment until he followed me, his eyebrows raised in question. Then I headed for his dressing room, closing and locking the door behind him.
“Babe-” he began just before I silenced him with a kiss.
He responded just the way I’d hoped as I started walking backwards while I unbuttoned his shirt. I guided him to the sofa - or maybe he guided me - where he sat, pulling me with him. Straddling him, I continued to kiss him until he pushed me back slightly.
“Babe, what…”
His chest was heaving, his gorgeous lips parted as he stared at me incredulously.
“What am I doing?” I teased, one of the straps from my dress falling down my shoulder as I reached down to grab his belt. “What do you think I’m doing?”
A low chuckle rose from his throat. “I want you so fuckin’ bad, and I just wanna make sure that’s what you want, ‘cause-”
“Shh,” I silenced him with my finger, my other hand working on his buttonfly.
Harry hastily tugged on my strap, pulling my dress down further to reveal my breast. As soon as I had his jeans open, I slid my arm through the strap so it wouldn’t be in the way. Then his mouth quickly found my bare skin, his tongue swirling around my nipple. I threw my head back with a moan before reaching into his pants. Of course he’d gone commando. That seemed to be a regular thing for show nights. Though I’d never asked him about it, I assumed it was just less material to sweat through.
He was hard and ready for me. I licked my lips again as he lifted his head to look at me. Then sliding his hands up my thighs, he pulled up the bottom of my dress.
“Nuh uh,” I commanded. “Dress stays on for now.
“Bloody hell!” he groaned, although he seemed fine with just easing down my panties. I rose from the couch to step out of them, swiftly returning to my post.
“Can I at least feel how wet you are for me?”
His words made me smile, turning me on even more. I nodded and he slipped his hand under my dress.
“Absolutely soaked,” he growled as he touched me.
“What do you expect? I’ve been watching you strut on stage like a rock god.”
“Is that what I am?”
I nodded, unable to form any more words as his finger entered me. I bit my lip as I ran my fingernails down his chest, grinding my hips.
“Harry…” I finally breathed. “Please.”
Releasing his hand, Harry aimed his cock and I lifted my hips.
“Ready to fuck your rock god?”
“Mmhmm.”
We both hissed as I sank down slowly over him. When he reached me deeply, I gasped, but we soon found a steady rhythm. I stared Harry in the eyes as I rode him. He seemed to like that, a quiver of a smirk on his face until it started to feel too good and he leaned in to kiss me.
Other than low moans, we tried not to make too much noise. Not that anyone would have heard us, with the concert going on just feet away. I couldn’t tell what song was playing, but I could feel the beat of the bass drum, so I started to move in time with it. Harry noticed, grabbing hold of my hips as he bucked his own against me.
“Fuck, babe, I’m gonna come already.”
“Does it feel good?”
“Amazing. Ah, Jesus, baby, I’m so close.”
While it felt amazing to me as well, I was happy to watch him reach his high. I rode him a little faster as he bit his lip, his eyebrows knitted together. But then, he surprised me by reaching between us and pressing his thumb on my clitoris, moving in circles. I cried out in pleasure, feeling myself nearing the edge.
“Come for me, babe. You’re so fucking sexy when you come. Lemme watch you.”
I tried my best to focus on his face, but the feeling was too intense. My palms were sweaty, and I had to move my hands to the back of the couch. Then in an instant, my vision blurred, and I called out his name as I rode out my orgasm.
“Fuck!” Harry cried, reaching his own.
He grabbed my hips tighter since I could barely move anymore, and fucked into me hard for a few more thrusts until his body stilled and he moaned in my ear.
“That…” he tried to catch his breath, “that was fuckin’ intense.”
“Tell me about it.”
“God damn,” Harry managed to chuckle. “You little tiger, you.”
“Me? You’re the one who commented on my dress.”
“But you’re the one wearing it.”
I laughed as I stood up, making my way to the bathroom. When I returned, he was still on the sofa, his head back, but his jeans were buttoned.
“You okay?” I asked in a teasing tone.
“Yeah. Just waiting for you.”
“Did I murder you again?”
“Yeah,” he laughed. “But I love it when you do.”
“Guess you weren’t the only one on fire tonight,” I giggled.
With a smirk, Harry lifted his head, beckoning me. I straddled him once more, but only to give him a kiss.
“I love you, Sky,” he whispered as my lips made their way to his ear. I couldn’t help it. Maybe it was Florida doing things to me. Or just the idea of being with him on tour. But I was more attracted to him than ever.
“I love you, too…my rock god.”
“How do you like tour so far?” he wiggled his brows.
“I can definitely get used to this,” I replied.
After a few more kisses, Harry and I walked back to the side of the stage. I noticed Bret and Mr. Irving had left, but Mitch, Danny and Stargazer’s manager, Charlie, were still watching the show. Danny gave us a pointed look while Mitch merely rolled his eyes.
“Hey,” Harry whispered to me. “Aren’t you glad there’s not a no girls rule?”
I giggled, “Yeah. I don’t think I could keep my hands to myself this time around.”
Harry chuckled, running his hand down my back to my rear. “Tiger, you are,” he commented.
When I made a meowing sound, he responded with a growl and squeezed it.
“Turned on to love like it’s the latest style I get response from just a look with a smile She’s like a bomb that’s about to explode Just one touch and she begins to unload She’s on fire My baby’s on fire…”

Daughter of Olympus (Leo Valdez xFem!Oc)
A/N: Welcome to my last oc story! Ara is my youngest baby, I hope you grow to love her and her story -Danny Words: 2,839 Series' Masterlist Next Chapter Listen to: 'Boys Will Be Bugs' -by Cavetown
I. Birth is a Curse and Existence is a Prison
Ara wants to scream into her pillow for the remainder of the year, but she's not allowed to show how desperate she feels, so instead, she grabs her compass and leaves the bedroom with an unperturbed step.
Things are starting to look up though, Annabeth had a creepy dream and if everything goes as planned, they'll find Percy today. Ara has to hold onto that hope, otherwise, she'll begin to fall in pieces.
She's never felt whole, to begin with.
I've been looking for someone for as long as I can remember.
I used to think I was looking for my parents, back when I was an orphan, but then my satyr found me, and I thought all that time I'd been looking for other demigods. However, during my four years living at Camp Half-blood, I haven't been able to settle right.
Silena —my senior counselor— likes to say I'm Aphrodite's most chaotic form. I'm not good with swords, archery, or any weapon if I'm honest. I'm a danger to myself, but I keep trying to learn all of it because it's fun to see how far I can go each time.
Everyone has a thing here: Clarisse is a great warrior, Annabeth has wits beyond compare, Silena's a splendid pegasus rider, and I... I go big, never home.
Annabeth's waiting for her outside the Big House, when the blonde spots her, she turns around and walks with a quick step. "You're driving the chariot."
"To where?" Ara puts on the aviator jacket, it doesn't fit her and it's too bulky to move around quickly, but she doesn't want to leave it behind, Nico might find it.
"Grand Canyon."
The girl frowns. "That's in the middle of nowhere important. Why are we going there?"
"We're about to find out," Annabeth replies.
"Can't wait for this to be over..." she mutters.
Annabeth hums and glances at her weirdly. Maybe she's starting to believe the rumor circulating around camp, the one about Ara being the camp's curse.
"ARA!"
I look over my shoulder for a brief second as I run away, I didn't mean to blow up the washing machine, but of course, that's not what matters. What matters is that it blew up. I crash against someone tall and bulky and suddenly I'm being lifted: Charles Beckendorf eyes me with a frown.
He's five years older than me and a son of Hephaestus, which means he's stronger than I could ever be, and he's caught me red-handed. "What did you do this time?
"Hi, Charlie, Silena asked me to say hi on her behalf if I saw you first today!" I say sweetly. He's got a crush on my sister, and I like to take advantage of it. "I was washing clothes," I explain vaguely.
One of my brothers storms out of my cabin yelling my name, soaked and covered in foam. Beckendorf places me back on the ground and crosses his arms. "While people was still wearing them?"
As he takes me back to Silena, I see the new kid being carried to the Big House further uphill, but I'm dragged back into my cabin before I can take a proper look. My sister lectures me for a little while and then piles a bunch of clothes on my arms. "Be a good girl and wash them right."
I pout. "But it takes so long!"
Silena never snaps at me, though I would like her to. She doesn't scold me 'cause she thinks this is the best I can do, and doesn't seem to mind that I suck at everything. I mind. "Go."
I fumble with the doorknob until it opens, my foot slips on the last step outside my cabin and the pile of clothes flies out of my arms. I wince, hoping no one inside saw that. Chiron approaches me with a stern look, which it's the only way he ever looks at me. "Why are those clothes wet?"
"I blasted our washing machine," I mutter, looking down at the clothes.
"Why would you do that?"
I kneel to pick up the clothes. "It was so slow! Everything must be done a certain way or they send me to stable duty, I didn't want to wash their clothes all day, I've been washing them since I was six..." A pair of bruised hands reaches down to help and I look up. "You killed the Minotaur!"
The boy looks at Chiron as if waiting for an introduction. I take the lead like I always do. "I'm Ara," I hold out my palm. "Just Ara."
"Percy," he shakes my hand. "Jackson."
"Cool name! If I had a last name, I'd die if it were something bland like Smith or something. You know what I mean? You're pretty," I ramble.
"Ara, the clothes," Chiron reminds me.
I pick them up as I keep talking. "Silena says I should tell people what I like about them, it gives them confidence," I take the clothes from Percy's hands. "You look like you need that."
He seems slightly offended. I don't want to upset him, he's gone through enough already. "Ara," Chiron speaks firmly. "Finish your chores."
The boy helps me balance everything in my arms. "Thanks. It was nice meeting you!"
I want him to like me, maybe he'll be my friend if I do it right. I go away and out of the corner of my eye, I spot Annabeth. I forget about the clothes a second time. "Did you see him?" I ask as soon as I approach her.
"Yeah," she makes a face. "He's important."
"Important how?"
"He's the prophecy guy."
"What prophecy?"
Annabeth sighs and I feel embarrassed. She's the coolest girl on earth, right after Silena. I would say the same about Clarisse, but she's a bully. She's nice to me sometimes though, when no one's looking. Gives me Reese's on my birthday every year. She looked after me when Hedge got us to camp, and sometimes treats me like a pup she found on the street... I'm not sure I like that.
What was I saying? Right! Annabeth sighs, and I feel embarrassed. "The big prophecy," she wrinkles her nose. "It's him..."
I don't care much for the prophecy. "Does that mean he's here to help you?"
Annabeth's expression darkens. "He better be." The blonde girl notices the clothes in my arms and grins. "Go on, if you finish your chores early you can come with me."
"To do what?"
"Finish up and I'll tell you," she ruffles my hair and leaves, I know better than to try and pry a secret out of Annabeth, so I go away too.
To be clear, I do know what a big prophecy is. Every once in a while one of those comes and we're meant to fulfill it, but I'll never be part of one, so I don't see why I should care. The new kid looks like he should, though, he has intriguing eyes like Annabeth's.
I'm always bored, but maybe Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase can fix that. It's exciting to be friends with real heroes.
"There!" Annabeth clutches Ara's shoulder. "I see them!"
"Them?" She raises a brow. "Do you see Percy?"
"Get closer!"
Annabeth jumps off the chariot as soon as they land and approaches the trio of teens. Ara sees her start a heated conversation with one of them, pointing her dagger at his throat.
"No Percy..." Ara says weakly, holding onto the chariot with pale shaky hands. The girl pulls out the compass from her pocket and stares at it with anger, it never stays still.
Percy's the son of Poseidon. No one wants to admit it 'cause is bad news. I don't care, though. "Hi!" I sit next to him at the campfire. "You remember me?"
"Er... Ara?" He frowns a little.
"Yeah! We should be friends—"
"You know little Ara?" Luke sits behind us. "If she hadn't been claimed, I would've believed she was one of my siblings! Tends to blow things up when she's not being watched, so you better keep your distance." I pout at his description, I don't want Percy to think I'm dangerous. "But she's a good girl at heart, I promise."
"I'm not good at most things," I sigh, "but that one, I am."
"You're a year-rounder?" Percy asks.
"Yup! Been an orphan all my life. Well, half an orphan, I guess," Percy looks away when I mention this, Annabeth told me to be careful, he's still sad about his mother. Unfortunately, I forgot. "So... What do you think?" The boy stares at me blankly. "About being friends," I remind him.
"Oh. Yeah, sure." He shrugs like it's no big deal. "Sounds good."
"Strategus Jackson!" Annabeth calls after her.
Ara turns and studies the people her friend brought, something catches her eye: Messy curls and dark eyes. The boy is staring at her and she doesn't know why, but it feels like they've met before, it annoys her.
Ara's gaze moves away from him, but it's hard to ignore him. "Where's Hedge?"
"Ask him," Annabeth glares at the blond boy next to her. "This is Jason. What do you think?"
Ara eyes him carefully. "They're toying with us." The sky rumbles and the girl scowls at it, she goes back to the chariot. "Let's go back—And you three," she looks at the group of demigods over her shoulder. "You're coming with us."
"You got it!" The curly-haired boy hurries to stand next to her in the chariot, he's about six inches taller than she is, but much thinner.
The brown-haired girl behind Annabeth speaks to Ara. "What's her problem? What's going on?"
"It's a long story," Ara faces forward avoiding everyone's eyes, she feels like she'll burst into tears if she's forced to keep talking
"I'm not going anywhere with her," Jason argues. "She tried to kill me!"
"That's not my problem." Ara pauses. She has to stop acting this way, it's not these kids' fault. "She means no harm, my..." It's been three years since she was adopted, and she'd never felt self-conscious about it until now. "My brother went missing. Annabeth's boyfriend. Someone told her we would find an answer here, but it was a bunch of bull."
"Sorry?" The white boy raises a brow.
"Not your fault," she can feel a migraine coming. "Let's leave before something else comes. I'm Ara. Ara Jackson."
"General Jackson to you," Annabeth sounds only the tiniest bit sarcastic. "She worked hard to get that position, so make sure to—"
"Annabeth," she scowls. "That's enough, thank you." She tries to remain calm, but as they rise up in the chariot, she turns to her friend with annoyance. "Why him, I'm supposed to be their go-to girl, they promised! Why wasn't I taken?"
"Hey, doll, if you want to be taken I will—"
"Get any closer and you'll lose both hands," she snaps at the dark-haired boy.
He clears his throat awkwardly. "Alright, not there yet..." he looks around. "Where are we going?"
"A safe place," Annabeth replies. "The only safe place for kids like us. Camp Half-Blood."
"Half-Blood?" The new girl frowns. "Is that some kind of bad joke?"
"She means we're demigods," Jason clarifies. "Half god, half mortal."
Annabeth and Ara look at him suspiciously. "You seem to know a lot, Jason. But, yes, demigods. My mom is Athena, goddess of wisdom. Ara's the daughter of Olympus."
Jason frowns as he studies her looks. "You're a minor goddess?"
"I can tell," the other boy nods approvingly.
Ara rolls her eyes, stopping herself from throwing the small guy off the chariot. "No. When the war ended, that title's what I got as a... reward." Annabeth scoffs, but she ignores her.
"War?" The blond boy sounds even more aghast. "You've gone to war?"
"It's what demigods do. We go to battle."
"Demigods," the new girl blinks. "You mean you think you're... you think we're—"
Lightning comes crashing down on their chariot and Jason gasps. "Left wheel's on fire!"
Ara forces the pegasi to fly faster until they reach the limits of camp, the damage on the wheel is terrible though, and they're losing speed and height, she can't control it. "Emergency landing!" Annabeth holds tight, but the rest have no idea of what's coming.
The crash lasts only a second, when she swims out of the lake, the campers salute her and she vaguely dismisses them. Ara glimpses at the broken chariot, really close to tears. Lily Saggio—Ara's best friend and right-hand girl—approaches them with a leaf blower and dries Ara in the blink of an eye.
"What's going on?" She asks, though coming from her it always sounds demanding. "Where's Percy?"
"Still missing," Ara replies shortly, trying to swallow the lump in her throat.
"Girls!" Will Solace walks up to them in shock. "I said you could borrow the chariot, not destroy it!"
"Will, I'm sorry," Annabeth heaves a sigh. "We'll get it fixed, I promise."
"I'll fix it," Ara vows. "It's just the wheel, I can get it done in a day."
The son of Apollo frowns, but he doesn't argue. "These are the ones? Way older than thirteen. Why haven't they been claimed already?"
"Maybe because they weren't here at camp," Ara shrugs.
"So there's no sign of Percy?"
"No." People whisper around them, Ara's hand closes in a tight fist and she looks away from the crowd, she's ashamed.
"You're really living up to your name, aren't you?" Drew Tanaka steps forward. "Is this what you meant by changing our cabin's reputation?"
Ara steps forward menacingly but Lily stops her, so she raises her voice. "What have you done for us, Drew? You're still wetting bedsheets with piss—oh sorry, perfume."
Drew pushes through to get to her but Will gets in the way. "I hope they're worth the trouble," she studies the kids behind Ara with a sneer.
"Gee, thanks. What are we, your new pets?" The flirty boy scoffs.
"No kidding," Jason scowls. "How about some answers before you start judging us—like, what is this place, why are we here, how long do we have to stay?"
All of Ara's niceness has been drained out for the time being, Percy's disappearance was a slap on the face, she's barely keeping it together. This, plus cabin nine's current issue, is testing her mastership as a leader. Everything is going wrong and she can't fix it.
"Jason," Annabeth starts. "I promise we'll answer your questions. And Drew, you better start respecting Ara, she's your General, not just your sister anymore. Besides, all demigods are worth saving. Although I'll admit, the trip didn't accomplish what I hoped."
"Hey, we didn't ask to be brought here."
"And nobody wants you, hon," Drew sneers at the new girl. "Does your hair always look like a dead badger?"
"Piper, stop." Annabeth stands in the way of the new camper before she can attack Drew. "We need to make our new arrivals feel welcome. We'll assign them each a guide, give them a tour of camp. Hopefully by the campfire tonight, they'll be claimed."
"I have to talk to Chiron," Ara tries to walk away, but Lily holds onto her wrist.
"You're their guide," she reminds her. "Make sure they get claimed."
"Like that's in my hands!" Ara scoffs.
"Would somebody tell me what claimed means?" Piper demands.
A hologram appears above them: Red, resembling a hammer and hovering over the brown-eyed boy. "That," Annabeth raises a brow, "is claiming."
"You gotta be kidding me," Ara groans internally.
"What'd I do?" The boy yelps. "Is my hair on fire?"
"This can't be good," a camper says. "The curse—"
"Butch, shut up," Annabeth interrupts him. "Leo, you've just been claimed—"
Ara didn't hear his name before, but she looks at him and thinks: "Yeah, that's him. Duh." Which is weird. Why does it sound familiar? Everything about him feels that way...
"By a god," Jason comments. "That's the symbol of Vulcan, isn't it?"
Silence followed his comment.
"Jason... how did you know that?"
"I'm not sure."
"Vulcan? I don't even LIKE Star Trek. What are you talking about?"
"Vulcan is the Roman name for Hephaestus," Annabeth glances at Ara as she replies, but the girl keeps her eyes on Leo, trying to figure out from where she knows him. "The god of blacksmiths and fire."
"The god of what? Who?"
Annabeth addresses Ara directly this time. "You told Jake—"
"I know," Ara states in annoyance before taking a deep breath. "Fine. Come with me, Leo."
"No need to be sad about it," he pouts. "And I'm not a Vulcan!"
He's confused and stressed and doesn't deserve to be tossed around, so Ara tries to be nicer. Percy would hate to see her mistreat a camper, so she attempts to sound a little more like her old self.
"I'll help you understand," she gestures at him to follow. "C'mon, I'm sure you've got lots of questions."

I think we should get married
They had been talking about their last trip, the one where they had gone to the Blue Lagoon to experience the social media craze for themselves and investigate the source of the hot springs. Granger was excited to document the fire salamanders in person and Draco had to drag her away at the end of each day to soak in the waters.
“—but Draco, this is our chance to see the salamanders mating in their natural habitat, the literal reason these volcanic fields even exist the way that they do!”
“I. Do. Not. Care. We’ve seen them mate three times now! I want my mud mask.”
And now they were planning their next trip to a place Draco had never even given the slightest consideration but Hermione insisted was at the very least a bucket list sort of destination.
“There must be superior casinos in more exotic locations, love.”
“But it’s Vegas, the city of Lost Wages, of Second Chances, the ultimate Sin City. And that doesn’t even include the bloody Grand Canyon.”
Draco snorted into his tea mug, resulting in an unpleasant sensation in his aquiline nose. “As if a Malfoy could lose wages like that. And you’ve already given me the only second chance I need, and all the sins of my dreams.”
“Well, while we’re there, I think we should get married at a chapel, maybe even the Little White Chapel if we’re aiming for the full experience—”
This time, it was a full mouthful of Earl Grey sprayed across the table in a manner that would have had his mother falling into a dead faint.
“Excuse me, what?”
Hermione continued on uninterrupted as she shuffled through her stack of papers, lifting up different sheets for his viewing. “If that’s too gauche, then there are some perfectly lovely alternatives at the Bellagio, or outdoors at the Flamingo and Tropicana—”
“Wait a minute, stop.”
Her mouth hung open, eyes rounded at his raised palm.
“Chapels? Marriage? Did you just propose to me?”
Now she was smirking at him. Her, smirking at him, the one with the trademark Malfoy smirk.
“Oh, I’m sorry, should I have done things in a slightly more conventional manner? Or perhaps you’d like me down on one knee.”
Before he could even reply, she swept up and around the table quickly before dropping down on a knee in front of him. She gazed upward still smiling that damn smile, all predatory teeth and crinkled eyes.
“Draco Malfoy, will you do me the honor of marrying me?”
Liquid dripped off his chin onto their clasped hands. He could smell the bergamot mingling with the wisteria’s heavy scent from above them. If not for the bloody tea, their reversed positions, her damn chapels, this would have all the appearance of a romantic proposal, not too unlike his own intentions for the near future.
“If I say yes, what are the chances of a do over, or at the very least, a re-telling of this proposal where we swap places?”
She didn’t even bat an eyelash before responding. “Not on your life, Malfoy. And speaking of last names, I’m not taking yours, either. You may consider, however, taking mine.”
Draco Lucius…Granger.
He shuddered at the very thought of it, but perhaps it was one of…delight? To shed the Malfoy name, centuries of history, responsibility, pride, and now shame. He had originally planned on rising out of the ashes, bringing new meaning to the family name, but hadn’t even considered casting it aside completely.
“‘Draco Granger’ doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue, does it?” The syllables rolled around his mouth awkwardly.
“‘Draco Malfoy Granger’ sounds lovely, and that way I can still call you ‘Malfoy’ when you irk me.”
“There’s no getting out of this now, is there?”
Standing up, she pecked him on the nose. “There really isn't. You also still haven’t given me an answer.”
She squealed as he quickly stood up, hoisted her up into his arms, and deposited her onto the table.
“Draco! Your tea is soaking into my dress!”
“I don’t care, and you deserve it. Yes, my answer is yes.”
If the wisteria could talk about what happened next, it would choose not to, for what other purpose could there be for a curtain of flowers than to keep secrets?

The Thaemine raid after story was released on the Korean servers on 10/25. I'm not going to summarize the entire story, but below is a translation of the story cutscenes.
Spoilers below the cut!
The first cutscenes opens with a demonic clown music box spinning and playing a tune atop a cliff overlooking the armies of mortals and demons amassing in Boreas Domain. Kharmine saunters up to it.
Kharmine: It’s a sad sight, isn’t it? A being without self, wandering without an identity.
The clown dolls responds.
Clown Doll: You speak of others.
Kharmine: It’s different for me. I at least have a very good idea of who I am.
The clown doll stops turning and an enraged Kakul-Saydon emerges.
Saydon: A half-hearted, powerless subject, blah, blah, blah…shut up!
Kharmine: You’re the one ranting and raving without knowing the subject, aren’t you, Kakul-Saydon? No…you’re a traitor who will remain in the shadows until the end.
Saydon: Traitor?!
Kakul-Saydon goes nuts and proceeds to spin around before attacking Kharmine.
Saydon: You think I let you live? Huh? Huh? You’re just a shell. A shell that means nothing! A shell that doesn’t exist! Shell! Place! Energy!
Kharmine: A shell…
Kakul-Saydon backs off and lets Kharmine speak.
Kharmine: In the beginning, everything was chaos. All of it was mine. If it weren’t for Regulus's hypocrisy... Maybe Antares was right.
Saydon: Yours? Yours? No, no, no. It was mine! Just wait and see, if my plan goes my way…!
Kharmine: Hasn’t your grand plan already gone awry once?
Saydon: Cheeky…!
Saydon stomps towards Kharmine, apparently about to attack again, when Kakul speaks up.
Kakul: It’s not time yet.
Kharmine: You even know how to assess the situation…the power of time is amazing. If he even remembers me it’s going to be bad.
Saydon: In any case, it won’t work out the way Regulus wants.
Kharmine: The witch’s prophecy is out of our hands, Lauriel’s twisted fate is out of our hands, and there will be a great war, as great as the first one we fought…just watch.
The cutscene ends with Kharmine and Kakul-Saydon watching the demons and morals fight as darkness starts to rain from the sky.
The second cutscene takes place on Petrania, in the same canyon where Thaemine entered Kazeros’s service so many years ago. Brelshaza approaches Kazaros, who appears as a cloud of darkness.
Brelshaza: The Red Moon Ritual was completed by Baratron and the dimensions have begun to wrap. Chaos and order, light and darkness, once parallel…a single world, a path that never began…it is being realized at your will, Lord Kazeros.
Kazeros: Thaemine…long ago, I gave him the power of darkness when all he had left was his instincts. It was an unparalleled blessing, but also a curse of lasting oblivion.
Brelshaza: Since his defeat by Kazeros, he has been in a dream that will never be broken. All that remains to him now is instinct. He will never know what he must seek.
Kazeros: The dimensional rift will finally allow my soul to enter Arkasia.
Brelshaza: Kazeros, then…
Kazeros: No more prophecies.
Brelshaza removes her horn crown and discards it on the ground.
Brelshaza: The prophecy is complete…I will prepare for the end of days, Kazeros.
The final cutscene features Thaemine shortly after we last saw him, having broken free of his paralysis. He’s not happy. He swings around his sword, destroying rock formations. His breathing becomes labored, he clutches his head, and for a moment he goes completely still as his blue light fades. Suddenly dark energy erupts from him.
Thaemine: Kharmine.
He then walks off to parts unknown.

♦️ and ☯️ for Kensi, Deeks, or Densi for the head canons list. 🙂
♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon
A few months after Rosa came to live with Kensi and Deeks, she came home from a shopping trip with a 1000 piece puzzle of Times Square at night. When she mentioned it was somewhere she always wanted to go, they not only added it to their travel bucket list, but they immediately set up a folding table by the couch and began completing the puzzle together. At least a few nights a week, they rotate picking a movie or a show to watch, and work on the puzzle as they enjoy each other's favorite entertainment. Deeks chooses "classic" movies like The Wild One and Goonies (well at least what he considered classics), and Kensi chooses her favorites like Titanic, and the John Hughes library of films. Rosa usually suggests newer movies and shows - her most recent favorite show was Shrinking - and everyone's favorite lists get expanded.
After Times Square was completed, other beautiful landscape puzzles stacked up - Yellowstone, San Francisco, London, even the Santa Monica Pier. There were other variety of puzzles thrown in, like movie scenes, or abstract art. But mostly, beautiful sights around the world. The only unspoken rule - puzzles of places MUST be photographs. They wished to bask in the real look, not an artist's rendering (no offense to artists).
For Rosa's 18th birthday, Deeks and Kensi presented her a box containing their biggest challenge yet, a 4000 piece puzzle of a new Time Square nightscape. Inside the box, tickets for the three to spend a week in New York over Christmas break.

Deeks doesn't hate camping as much as he lets on. He doesn't even need to "glamp" to consider the idea. He'd prefer not to be completely unprotected out in the middle of the desert, that is too reminiscent of difficult work cases. But give him a designated campground, a decent tent with an air mattress inside, and at least an outhouse available for use, and he's more than happy to spend a few days in the woods enjoying nature and roasting marshmallows over the fire.
A few months after they got engaged, Kensi and Deeks took a roadtrip over a long weekend to see the Grand Canyon in the fall. Deeks surprised Kensi by pulling into a KOA about an hour from the South Rim. He fell even more in love with her seeing the joy on her face as he pulled the tent and supplies from where he hid them in his truck bed. Together they assembled the tent, roasted hot dogs and marshmallows, and then snuggled in on the bouncy airbed in their tent.
The next few days were spent hiking the beautiful canyon, horseback riding around the camp, exploring the nearby towns of Flagstaff and Williams, and spending the evenings in the hot tub (yeah, he chose a place that had some amenities!). Sure, they had to make an emergency run to Walmart to pick up a few more supplies (Deeks may have underestimated Kensi's love of s'mores), but despite Deeks's initial reservations, this was an experience he'd be willing to repeat again and again - and they did!
#my headcanons#my writing#first thing I've written in awhile#but it was fun#Densi#densi headcanons#did I project a bit of myself into these?#yes#Also that KOA is totally a real place#We camped there every year for like 7 years when I was a kid#we did all those things - they have a pool in addition to the hot tub and a pool table and 'arcade'#like 3 games#they also have indoor bathrooms and showers - but outhouses too for the sites on the outskirts of the campsite#but despite those - we always stayed in tents at least#also - the unwritten puzzle rule is absolutely my own#and I own that 4000 piece puzzle - but never got really far on it - I need some more hands - and a bigger table

I burn with fever. Though I don't cough often, every breathe feels as if my throat is bone dry and my nose burns even as I feel it try to deny me air. My voice is a gravelly rasp, as course as splintered wood. The surprise change of the seasons from a cold fall to an abrupt beginning of winter, combined with the hurried pace of the crusade is not a problem for those among us seasoned with Worldwound experience. I managed to keep my head held up high however, at the cost of strengthening this cold.
I can't afford to stop now however, whether it is nightmares or weaknesses of my body, I won't slow down now. Again and again, it seems as if some unknown force is halting my progress- I dream of death. Red spilling from my throat as freely as spilled wine, crushed by the earth, or poisoned by faces I thought friendly.
Horrors to describe later. But we've been forced to move faster. It's possible the demons are aware of our goal now. Letting them have Drezen would be the end of this crusade so we have moved like the wind itself and even as I write this, I can see Drezen.
So much time and blood spent to get to Drezen with haste and it looks like any other place in Mendev that's held by demons. I could see them in the dark. Galfrey was right about how few demons were there to man the fort after Kenabres. But between the Lost Chapel, Leper's Canyon, and now this, I can feel how Drezen will go. It'll be bloody and more familiar faces will be lost to death.
I don't know why I imagined something grand when it came to Drezen. Perhaps it's the lack of rest that is irritating me. But it is far more likely this illness. Sosiel was upset, and rightfully so after he heard me break into a hacking cough that stole my breath. But Regil had my back when we finalized our plans to invade Drezen at dawn. Even now Aaron Kir works to assemble what equipment we have and I am 'resting' in the short time we have left.
Staying awake hardly counts as resting when I am aggressively stabbing this paper so. But I could not manage sleep right now. There is so much to think about. So little time. It haunts me more to wonder if I can do this with minimal losses.
I know some of them will die. Perhaps a lot of them. They walk about camp in quiet whispers. Checking their arrows, fixing their armor, getting a few moments of rest as they wait. It makes it all the more important that I don't let this cold steal the last of my stamina before we finish this.
If they can stand it, then I must appear as if I could withstand more. There's no option but to keep moving forward, no matter what will be thrown at us. Once we retake Drezen then I can rest. I'm their commander.
I'm their Commander. I can't ignore reality. Many of them will die and some will die under my orders, certain what I've told them to do was right. Maybe Galfrey was wrong to appoint some cursed bard to lead this.
I don't know if it's worse knowing that they're aware. But I am their Commander. Should I rage and be blind in my fury? Should I focus on the most unattached, distant way to view this like it's dull legal text? Trust in the light?
As I write this the sky is starting to lighten. Bit by squirming bit as the sun returns. I don't feel like I'm a good commander however, I am a good bard. And every bard performs on a stage, even if that stage is a frigid battlefield.
And if all the world's a stage then we'll find a way through it. Every script can be torn up and reassembled. Let's hope I can do it as effortlessly as if this play was guaranteed to succeed.
Fair skies ahead, I hope.

Exploring America's National Parks: A Journey Through Nature's Masterpieces
There's something truly magical about stepping into a national park. These vast, unspoiled landscapes are like windows into our planet's history, offering breathtaking scenery, diverse wildlife, and opportunities for adventure. Over the years, I've had the privilege of exploring several of the United States' most iconic national parks. Here's a glimpse into my experiences:
1. Yellowstone National Park: A Geothermal Wonderland
Yellowstone is a must-visit for any nature enthusiast. Its geothermal features, such as the Grand Prismatic Spring and Old Faithful Geyser, are simply awe-inspiring. I spent countless hours hiking through the park's forests, marveling at the towering geysers and colorful hot springs. Wildlife sightings were abundant, including bison, elk, and even a few black bears.
One of my favorite memories was watching a bison herd graze peacefully in a meadow. It was a humbling experience to witness these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. If I were to return to Yellowstone, I'd love to explore the park's backcountry and hike to some of the lesser-known trails.
2. Yosemite National Park: A Granite Wonderland
Yosemite's towering granite cliffs and cascading waterfalls are a sight to behold. I spent several days hiking to the base of Yosemite Falls and exploring the park's ancient sequoia groves. The iconic Half Dome is a must-see, but be prepared for a challenging hike.
I was fortunate enough to witness a black bear foraging for berries in a meadow. It was a thrilling encounter that reminded me of the importance of respecting wildlife. If I were to return to Yosemite, I'd love to try rock climbing or whitewater rafting in the Merced River.
3. Grand Canyon National Park: A Canyon of Wonders
The Grand Canyon is a natural wonder that defies description. Standing at the rim and gazing into the vast chasm is a truly humbling experience. I spent several days hiking along the rim trail and descending into the canyon on a mule ride. The views from the bottom were breathtaking.
I encountered a variety of wildlife, including deer, wild turkeys, and even a bald eagle soaring high above the canyon. If I were to return to the Grand Canyon, I'd love to hike to the bottom of the canyon and explore the Colorado River.
4. Glacier National Park: A Crown Jewel of the Rockies
Glacier National Park is a hiker's paradise, with hundreds of miles of trails winding through alpine meadows, forests, and glaciers. I spent several days backpacking in the park, camping under the stars and exploring the stunning alpine lakes.
Wildlife sightings were plentiful, including mountain goats, grizzly bears, and even a moose. If I were to return to Glacier National Park, I'd love to hike the Highline Trail, one of the most scenic trails in the park.
5. Acadia National Park: A Coastal Gem
Acadia National Park offers a unique blend of rugged coastline, lush forests, and historic landmarks. I spent several days hiking along the park's scenic carriage roads, exploring the rocky coastline, and visiting the historic town of Bar Harbor.
I encountered a variety of marine life, including seals, seagulls, and even a whale. If I were to return to Acadia National Park, I'd love to go kayaking or paddleboarding in Frenchman Bay.
Exploring America's national parks is a truly unforgettable experience. Each park offers something unique, from towering mountains and ancient forests to geothermal wonders and rugged coastlines. If you're looking for adventure, inspiration, and a deeper connection with nature, I highly recommend visiting one of these incredible places.

most magical places in the world
ok since i have not been to everywhere in the world to say conclusively here are two wildly incomplete lists
places i have been that are magical:
the appalachian mountains
times square when it’s really quiet like at 7 on sunday morning
the pantheon in rome
the beach at sunrise
the grocery store parking lot when the sky is just doing the absolute most
the extra deep shadow under the trees at dusk where you can see all the fireflies
a park when it’s snowing and everything is unnaturally quiet and you can see the snow falling through the street lights
in a crowd or a theater where there’s a big group of people and everyone is just absolutely dead silent in anticipation
waterfalls
your favorite bar or friend’s house when it’s getting late but you’re having such a nice time talking that surely it can’t be that late time must be working differently somehow because it’s three in the morning
places i haven’t been that i think would be magical:
the grand canyon
those super protected places where there’s no light pollution and you can see all the stars
california redwoods
next to a blue whale
outer space
standing on a glacier
the stillness of the eye of a hurricane

Today was totally different than yesterday! I went to work my ponytail swinging and right away I got to talk about yesterday's bad feelings with one of my coworkers. Such a relief to be able to talk with someone who understands! 💜💜💜
Then I went to the storage to organize more picture frames and overall I brought six banana boxes full of picture frames inside with me. Then I also got to do a small setting on one side table in the store. There were a lovely coffee set (4 cups & plates) and I found nice table clothes to go with it. Then I also took toys and different kind of stull on their places in the store and added more magazines on the rack.
I love to do this type of work and I honestly could work there forever. If only they could hire me... anyway... my day got even better when I found an awesome book about Grand Canyon. Then later on I found yet another stuffed bunny, which I just had to have. Now I've adopted 8 bunnies from work. Hi hi hiii ! 😄
Then... just when I was about to leave from work, my supervisor asked if I would want the gorgeous old wooden box, that I had admired earlier. Apparently it was not good for sale... I was like: "you don't need to even ask!" I am overjoyed by everything I got to do and take home with me today!
That beautiful wooden box is definitely going to be in my artistic still life photographs, because it is so perfect for that. So you might see it one day, we shall see 😉 Now I must go take some oats, seeds and nuts outside to the hares, before they get here. One if them usually comes around 6:00 pm and it is already 5:25 pm. The sun starts to set soon...
