just playing around with some checkerboards and gradients. lots of these can be used as tiling images, but not all- use this website to check.
all of these are free to use, no credit needed. if you want any at higher resolutions or in different colors, feel free to send me a request!
i made these really easily using this wonderful gradient to image maker and this pixel art software. (all free!)

oh, to be able to accurately capture how a song makes u feel into an artform for others to experience in the same way as a means of deeper transformation connection and understanding
#and a “this is how I perceive this— can you feel it too? can you understand it at all? can you appreciate it even if you don’t?”#except “how it makes u feel” is far less standard emotional “feeling” and far more like#oh this one feels like walking along the road you know well from where you grew up except the sun is setting so everything’s bathed in a#shifting gradient of sunlight fading from pink to oranges to pinky purples to deeper purpley blues. in a way that feels and looks surreal#yk when sunset light just completely changes how everything looks and feels?#so. bathed in that sunset light and surrounded by tiny floating soft silvery glowing flecks that are almost drawn to you but float further#away when you reach out your hand to touch them#the ones you do touch turn more golden and have the texture of. soft silky dust. like flour or tile dust. and they feel cool at first but#warm very quickly#and you’re walking down that street you know so well (for better or worse) but you’re older now. you’re You now#and you can see the world and the people around and there’s things happening. but you’re unaffected by it all you’re just walking#“there is freedom within— there is freedom without / try to catch the deluge in a paper cup”#and it doesn’t feel bad. just a calm sense of disconnect and. relief? and a path. doesn’t matter what’s happening around you#“there’s a battle ahead— many battles are lost / but you’ll never see the end of the road while you’re travelling with me”#you’re just walking through it all#“and I’m counting the steps to the door of your heart”#I’m sure this is an incredibly common and normal experience#especially given this is very different experience to my intentionally curated brainmovies and music videos I make in my head (normal)#this is just a This Is How It’s Always Felt From When I First Heard It#it’s developed with listening again and again over time but the feelings and the core are the same#anyway#I need to go to bed#mercury moments#if anyone reads all this babbling this specific example is sarah blaskos cover of dont dream it’s over#just so u know#free to rb the post if u want#shrug. maybe I just feel things too much and. too deeply and too specifically sometimes#iunno

Dearest Gentle Reader :D,
Before we start, I am still quite overwhelmed by all your lovely comments on the Estate WIP. Thank you so much!
As I mentioned, the next theme will be The Estate Set and Part 1 consists of 48 items. Let me give a summary of what is included:
A Front Door
Glass Doors
Georgian Windows
An Arches Window
Stone Frames for Windows and Doors
A Portico for the Front Door
Pediments with and without Corbel
Quoins
Functional Friezes
Functional Foot Trims
Gable Frieze Pieces
Woodbine Vines
Guttering
Stone Urn
Stone Wall
Brick Wall
I want to discuss a few extra details. Let's start with your favourite Vines. There are five pieces with different shapes. The vines have seven colour swatches, creating a gradient from very green to red tips when placed next. It looks lovely as a Wall with colour variation in your Vines. You should try it :)
For the first time, I created functional friezes and foot trims; I don't think I can ever go back. They are so easy to use and speed up building a lot. However, I added a few extra pieces to create proper pediments for your estates, something I have always wanted.
I have been separating my windows from their frames, giving more options and colour combinations. This month, I created a separate Palladian window frame. You place two of the small windows next to the arched window, you place the Stone Frame on top, and voila, you have a Venetian Window :D.
Most of the Stone pieces have aged colour swatches. Whether you prefer a freshly renovated look or more Patina, the choice is yours :)
Generally, to make things easy and to give you more freedom while building, I like to use bb.moveobjects and ctrl + F5 for quarter tile placement. There are a lot of details, and sometimes, they go on top of each other.
This Set is on Early Access and you can find it here
I think that's it from my side. I hope you will enjoy using the items as much as I did. If you happen to share your builds via social media, don't be shy about tagging me. I love seeing what you are creating, and it also helps me understand how you are using the items. Thank you so much for everything, and happy building!!!
Lots of Love,
Felix xxx

Thanks to h0tb0x for finding this surreal 2018 estate at an undisclosed location in Oklahoma City, OK. I wonder why they built this incredible home only to sell it 5 yrs. later. It has 8 bds, 16ba, $17.25M.
Tumblr media
Immediately, I'm blown away by the entrance hall chandeliers. That blue one has to be a Dale Chihuly worth millions. I always hoped I could afford a little one, but nooooo. In fact, I can't even afford a fake one.
Tumblr media
The living room is gigantic. It has large windows for an amazing view, a stone fireplace that soars right up to the black wood ceiling, and a built-in entertainment center with a balcony above.
Tumblr media
At least 2 more balconies overlook the space, and there are stone walls with openings to the other areas.
Tumblr media
The dining room has wainscoting, an incredible ceiling, and you'll notice the blue lights are a theme throughout the home.
Tumblr media
In the kitchen there are silver tray ceilings, stone walls, gray cabinetry, and 2 dark gray islands with black granite counters. The blue lights give the islands gradient tones.
Tumblr media
A pantry that's larger than my kitchen has dark gray cabinetry and note the shimmery backsplash with red accents.
Tumblr media
Now, this is a professional bar.
Tumblr media
And, check out the incredible fantasy-like wine cave. The home is ultra modern but has some medieval elements in the light fixtures, stone, dark wood, etc.
Tumblr media
The rec room is set up like a club with a pool table, bar and table, as long as the wall, w/stools.
Tumblr media
On the other side is a lounge with a fireplace and sculpted ceiling with blue lights.
Tumblr media
Now this actually looks like a hall with abstract art on display.
Tumblr media
The dogs have their own room, also. I like the wide tile wainscoting- if they rub against it, it's washable.
Tumblr media
Here's another lounge with a balcony that overlooks the living room. It has a lovely turquoise built-in game table and a kitchenette, plus a blue tray ceiling.
Tumblr media
Next, there's a 2 lane bowling alley.
Tumblr media
On the other side there's a lounge for the bowlers. Love the carpeting.
Tumblr media
The primary bedroom is probably bigger than most of our apts. It has a beautiful blue ceiling feature and glass doors to patio areas. There's also a living room off to the side.
Tumblr media
Of course the en-suite can't be anything less than spectacular. Love the silvery tiles.
Tumblr media
Now, this is beautiful- a pink closet/dressing room.
Tumblr media
Got shoes? And, this one is blue.
Tumblr media
The laundry room has beautiful blue cabinetry. Love the backsplash, floor and contrasting island.
Tumblr media
Yet another lounge with a kitchenette.
Tumblr media
Check out the garage.
Tumblr media
How many bars and party areas does one need?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Huge restaurant-like space with a large stage.
Tumblr media
And, over here, there's a sitting area with a snack bar.
Tumblr media
This is some home. Look at this.
Tumblr media
The big barn has the garage and entertainment area with the basketball court outside.
Tumblr media
36 acres of fun.

Castle Estate Mini Add-On
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I needed a few little things to add up to my castle building experience, so here we are:
A one tile castle wall. Somehow the original gets very stretched out on round rooms, and since it's a multi panel wall it's not always seamless. So, 18 swatches, I tried to match the gradient walls as much as possible and the "fairytale" swatch was a pain in the *ss, I did my best.
Two platforms, one trimmed and one plain, basically to be able to make towers a bit higher, but possibilities are endless. 13 swatches (all the originals minus the gradients).
Two exterior trims, the one in the kit is lovely, but I wanted something more plain for more variety, also 13 swatches.
Aaand a half-wall trim, sorry I had to make 13 separate trims instead of swatches, but that's how half-wall trims are (and man they're weirdly mapped!).
(Actually I’m thinking there’s maybe a way to put all the half-wall trims in one file, hmm, I’ll try and if yes will update)
All base game compatible.
DOWNLOAD
You can find my pre-made round rooms here so come on let's build a castle!
