The twins!! Frankie and Florence!!

Florence is the “older” twin (I say that loosely cus they were quite literally born at the same time. Florence just grows faster than Frankie, she’s quite literally the bigger sister lol). She very much still takes on the older sister role with Frankie tho, love-hate and all. Sword fighting is her love and life, and she’d probably strangle Frankie with her hair if he tried to dabble in it (thankfully he’s not a sports guy). She doesn’t like to share (with Frankie) and has a tendency to view people as less than her unless they can prove otherwise. If you are someone she cares about she is fiercely loyal and won’t let you say no to her help. She puts her 100% into everything she does and will not settle for less (even if it hurts her in some way). She has a hard time understanding people and how they feel, so she comes off as mean or cold (even if that isn’t her intention). She tries very hard to be strong, she refuses to show weakness, and she thinks low of herself if she can’t live up to her own expectations.

Frankie is the “younger” twin. He does take on more of the younger sibling role between the two in that he tends to get what whatever he wants from everyone and gets kinda butt hurt when things don’t go his way. With that said, he does not go through life thinking he’s the king of the world entitled to everything. He’s very good with people (which is why they like him) and he’s got a calming air about him. He’s a very mellow fellow, or at least that’s usually how he comes across. If you really know him you’ll catch on to the fact that he’s got some strong OCD that makes him literally lose his mind if he’s left to his own devices (which is why he tries to surround himself with good people and a more predictable day-to-day life). He’s very understanding of people’s needs and is very good at recognizing the intricacies of people and their lives. He tries very hard to be independent, he won’t take handouts from people, and he has a hard time asking for help (so much so that he could literally be on the verge of death and he won’t even make a peep about it to anyone).

They both love their dad and want to prove themselves to him (they also want to prove that they are capable and independent adults that don’t need their daddy’s assistance 24/7), so they moved out of his home in order to pursue their dreams and make something of themselves. They try to out-do each other all the time, they still haven’t caught onto the fact their bickering reminds their dad of when they were kids (and that they don’t need to prove their worth to him).

decided to edit mortem's nose cause we were talking on it to be more accurate.

but apparently that wasn't enough cause she came for my soul (which she already has).

remembering the arcana romance game and how i tried to grind for coins bc im a completionist, and the paid scenes were too much. and there was no youtube videos of anything. i just wanted to read the stories and loved the art. many problems but i had fun

My favorite part of Goncharov (1973) is the ballroom scene and I’m so sad that I don’t see it talked about more often. The symbolism of the twelve dancing couples around Goncharov and Katya is just beautiful. Each one is a number on the clock face and Goncharov and Katya are the hands. The thing that really sealed the deal for me was when at the climax of the song Goncharov dips Katya and you see her look towards Sofia, and Goncharov extends his arm the opposite direction to Andrey. After they come back together to continue dancing and you can see in their eyes that they have this understanding that neither of them are in love with the other anymore. They both already knew this but here they come to a sort of mutual understanding and the tension just melts away. It’s obvious they still care for each other but not in that way anymore. This scene was just so beautifully done both visually and with the character development I could gush about it for hours.
