Taryn is used to rats being a food source... listen, you eat what's available when you're low enough in the hive city layers! (Obviouly Ock will not let him hold any of his pets without supervision after this. XD) Because of how scarce resources were, Taryn has a food hoarding problem. He is terrified to not have something on hand when he is hungry, so he stockpiles any additional food he gets (quite often Captain Harken sneaks him a few things, which quickly turned to dried and non-perishable food after an unpleasant experience with a... rippening... stockpile he made Taryn clean up. XD)

He has a stomach Mortarion would be proud of. Thankfully, his captain is here to put some better, healthier habits into this boy! XD

after a long time, he is Kabir!! :D

He's 7 and a rough childHis relationship with Demya started... fairly well, but he was always on edge like a caged animal around her and practically everyone, to the point he was almost violent. His demon form was used for the first time when he was five, tho not fully since during that time he only had his horns, by the time his father passed away, he wasn't yet found by the without until a month after, where he basically ran away from the orphanage only the first day in, living completely on the streets and close forest before he was attacked, so he was very malnourished by the lack of food, shelter and sleep, but that didn't stop him from fighting back, thanks to that he was the only kid Solomon had saved who was hurt and close to death, this was also one of the reasons why he was always on edge at the start

He has his own sense of order that he NEEDS to follow, his father, unlike his mother, was more composed and that's the only trait (besides half of his hair) that he got from him. However, this traits crash with the feral part from his mother, so his sense of order is his own, it's still very messy, but if he doesn't follow it he gets anxious. So people like Zury may see it as there's not actually any order but if they change things of place he will attack

He is very cheerful and playful one, always running around the other kids, or roughhousing with his mother, however, he gets overwhelmed easily by his hypersensitivity. Back to the original post about them when you answered about him getting an amulet from Azul, I liked so he did :D he got a bracelet with a wolverine, whoever tries to take it away from him gets bitten

Hybrids are born as humans and they start getting their half demon/angel parts when growing, so his senses started to develop after he became five, which is the age this happen. This means he has to get adapted to higher senses in general, which gets him very overwhelmed, be either by new smells or big spaces, so when Demya tried to take him hunting for the first time, they had to stop until he got used to the new clear environment, she has to go slow and patient with him at all time during his whole childhood if she doesn't want him to react badly

The way he gets friends or knows who to trust is thanks to his mother, if she trusts them, then it's fine. This actually helps him a lot since his territorial side tells him other hybrids are a threat towards his family, so if they're from Demya's circle then he can trust them and sees them as friends or family. This is also why he likes Nikolai, even tho their parents don't get along that well, he is part of the group of friends so Nikolai is too, besides he sees Nikolai as "weak, friend, not a threat, must protect". With people like witches however, the smell alone gives him the fight or flight reaction and which one he will use is always random

his warmth. i love the writing and the execution and everything but what made me absolutely adore his canto is the fact that he feels so warm to me... he's trying guys. hes one of very few characters that just makes me feel warm idk how else to explain it

lol i think it's a bit funny that I started out this userhandle/blog as a rottmnt and leosagi + yuinardo sideblog/side twt and now it's just become my usagi chronicles and yuichi usagi fanblog.... the reason for the tumblr blog specifically was just to post my sketches of this specific fanart. really really didn't expect to hyperfocus on the samurai rabbit show

but it's so good! I love it. i rewatched some eps recently again and thought about how nice the animation is + how much really happens in each ep. like they could have easily split each ep into 11minute eps as is more common in channel tv cartoon shows nowadays, but they kept to the 20-22 minute format nicely by inter-veawing multiple plot-points + episode plots into one ep. it's been interesting to see and rewatch tbh

how did you get into both dreamnap and dreamnoblade? where is the connect and the appeal, i really want to know.

ive answered a pretty similar question to this before (which you can read here) but since this is asking for both dreamnap and dreamnoblade, ill try to answer as best and as detailed as i can. please note that some parts will be a direct copy of my previous post, but all in all this is pretty much the entirety of my dsmp experience, meaning there's lots of new Ry lore™ to read about lmao

so, without further ado,

here's a real-time recap of my slow decent to madness pt. 2 (aka falling in love with Dreamnap and DNB, then starting a side blog dedicated to these two amazing ships™)

includes reaction memes for funsies and also to provide a visual for all of my recent emotions as i traverse the dsmp fandom firsthand

ok, let's gooooooooo

starting this off with how i got into dsmp in general. so i actually knew about dsmp way back when the fandom was just starting (bc who didn't? this fandom was the talk of the town (derogatory) given the hate most people gave it for being #cringe) ive seen the way other fandoms have clowned dsmp fans (mainly dream stans) and i for one, did not enjoy being clowned at, so yeah i dipped and did not look into the lore too much given the circumstances. at that time, i didn't really know anyone except for c!dream given that he was the one (1) character that piqued my interest, and he stuck to me bc of the smiley face mask and i really liked the fanarts i saw of him back then, even when i had no interest to join the fandom back then.

so flashforward to the year 2022 where nothing is real except for the eraser shavings on my desk and the half finished wips collecting pixelated dust on my laptop for months and boom i was reintroduced to dsmp but this time there was interest bc this time around, i was reintroduced to c!dream via a really nice animation by sadist and since i had no other fandom to hyperfixate on during these trying time, my lizard brain was all like:

but as soon as i consumed every sadist dsmp animation known to man, i realized something very quickly, my love for c!dream is all encompassing, but there's still room in my heart for maybe two (2) more characters, which i why i was led to the simple conclusion of finding more characters to love and cherish along with dream, hence why i found sap and techno, my two other beloved.

so my love for dream, sapnap, and techno is rooted on the fact that i personally love all of their character designs, also i just find it quite fascinating how powerful and dangerous their characters are individually, and at that moment, my brain went decided to ask me a question that would change everything:

my brain 🧠: what would they be like together?

me 🤡: you mean like a team, right? platonically??

my brain 🧠, crackling: no.

[cue alarm bells ringing in my head]

so yeah, the possiblity of shipping c!dream with the two other characters ive come to know and love was now a very big possibility (mainly bc i want my fav boy (c!dream) to be loved and cherished, and who better to love and cherish c!dream than my two other favs???) <- sound logic, me thinks.

so after maybe two hours of looking for fanarts of the characters dubbed as a green teletubby, an arsonist, and the blood god (all in that order) ive found etcetera art's insta and twt account, full of amazing fanarts of all three of them, and i knew i was onto something when i wanted to see all three of them together...

(note that scavenging through twt for a dsmp fanart is a nightmare if you don't really care abt the other characters, bc let me tell you, you will end up finding more fanarts of that character than who you were looking for in the first place)

so a lot more digging around and i found out something very important about sap and techno when it comes to dream:

for sapnap: "And they're childhood friends in the lore. oh man, they're childhood friends in the lore???"

and for techno: "And they're rivals in the lore. oh man, they're rivals in the lore????"

i zoomed in on these two facts immediately and began my quest to look for more animatics, fanarts, and even fanfiction focusing on two things: dream and sap's dynamic AND dream and techno's dynamic. i looked for content regarding their rivalry and friendship and i even found the tags #rivalstwt / #rivalsduo (for dream and techno, which i initially thought was considered both platonic and romantic, so you could imagine the sheer devastation i felt after finding out on the same day that shipping them is not in fact considered "morally acceptable")

and for sap and dream, i found the tag #dreamnap (which, as it turns out is not as popular or as widely accepted as i thought it would be, surprising given that dreamnap oozes childhood friends to lovers so much, i thought everyone loved childhood friends to lovers???)

(me, as soon as i realized i was the only one in the c!technodreamnap agenda, i will not be stopped)

initially i was ok with the whole platonic rivalry (for techno and dream) and the friendship (for sap and dream), but the more i was fed this idea that shipping c!dream and c!techno is wrong, the more i felt compelled to like it. and the lack of fan works for dreamnap was getting to me, i was itching to make my own fics for these two ships the moment my two braincells connected and formed a critical thought.

plus, i already knew i was going to fall in love with BOTH dreamnap and dnb (bc dnf is just so boring and this ship never appealed to me even back then plus karlnapity isn't for me, i dont like q and k lmao) the moment i found out that they're the three strongest characters in the dsmp lore + the other canon events in the story like doomsday and the life debt dnb keep owing each other throughout each important event is enough fuel for me to keep this ship sailing, and the fact that despite how they only consider each other as business partners, c!techno still rescued c!dream from prison knowing the risk and c!dream still remembers the mountain where they first met (how am i not going to romanticize this? how??)

and then there's the fall of dremanap in the canon lore, the heavy implications, the angst, and the fact that no matter what happens, they are each other's downfall as much as they love and care for the other (that's some very fucked up trope that we all need in a childhood friends to enemies to lovers dynamic, imho)

so in conclusion, my love for dreamnap and dnb started from curiosity that led to shock and bitterness that fueled my spite and the burning need to consume and create content for the only two (2) ships that i actually find interesting in this entire fandom.

it's a crime that there's so little content for these two ship, a crime i tell you!

so yes, im BOTH a dreamnap and a dnb shipper and my entire side blog is dedicated to block men: 500k words, slow burn, childhood friends to enemies to lovers as well as rivals to rivals to lovers, pining, angst with a happy ending, doomsday husbands and chaos husbands 😌❤️💚🤍

He's not one of my faves but I really like him. I think he's one of the funniest and kindest characters in the game, and he reminds me of my best friend a lot so that's cool!

I don't have a lot of Tasuku ships tbh, but I do think that Tasuku and Tsumugi are soulmates. Platonic or romantic, these two are a pair no matter what and that's very good for them 😌.

Lately I've seen some TasuHiso fanart on my twt tl and I found out I lowkey dig that? And TasuHoma sounds very cute ngl

My unpopular opinion about this character

Idk how much of an unpopular opinion this is, but Tasuku's princely persona is just. Eh. I mean, whenever I have to watch him being all princely and all that (insert the scene from the anime where he smiled at a mirror and his teeth were sparkly like in a fkin toothpaste commercial), I get such a weird feeling. I can't even describe it. Maybe bcs I'm too attached to his lowkey grumpy, straight man side but. Idk

One thing I wish would happen/had happened with his character in canon

I hope we get to see more of Tasuku and Sakuya in the canon! I think both of them are very similar and both of them interacting always gives me so much serotonin lol But also more Tasuku interacting with the younger members in general is very good. Just. Tasuku as a role model for the kids pls-

Also, I wish we got to see more of Tasuku during the time he started getting obsessed with theatre! I think seeing him fall in love with acting would be very interesting.

1. Why did you choose your url?

ok so i have explained the origin of my url a couple of times but! let’s hear it again! so while i was in high school, i was obsessed with j.r. ward’s black dagger brotherhood series and brother vishous was my favorite out of all the vampires of the brotherhood. the royalty theme also stuck with me and i liked “viscount” a lot. i made this nickname for one of my random nintendo ds games originally and then it followed me around lol (my original url on tumblr was in finnish. i have tried to leave that one behind haha)

nope. tho i sometimes consider making one? but i feel like that would put too much pressure on me so i just gather everything here like the trash collector i am

in 2013 i was living and breathing manga/anime. tumblr was a place for all the nice fanart and edits and i just went around looking at those. i can’t remember when i actually started posting anything for this blog bc for a while i just lurked here looking at things but it happened. then i slowly started expanding from there as i moved on from anime to different tv series and movies and kpop and now dramas 

6. Why did you choose your icon/pfp?

current one (and the previous one too) is bc this man lives in my brain rent free. it’s closing in on one year since i started watching reboot and i still cannot move on from liu sang and how much i love his character and the whole world of dmbj. this fandom really is a pit and i am shoveling dirt to get deeper each day 

7. Why did you choose your header?

this too applies to the previous one bc i associate liu sang with forests, especially foggy ones. i looooove the aesthetic of foggy hills and this feeling of mystery but also freedom it gives me. tho i’ve been thinking about making a new layout again bc the current green color reminds me of that foam we use for plastic flowers to stick them up in their pots lol

my wangxian edit with lines from richard siken’s poem you are jeff  x it currently has almost 1.5k notes and i still have zero idea why it’s this edit specifically. i think i’ve made better ones but i am fond and very thankful of the love
