i know there's many possible reasons why people do this but whenever people post like a bunch of different drawings in one sketchdump i'm like woah hold on... give them room to breathe... each of these deserves its own frame and space in the gallery....
it kinda makes sense when they're closely-related explorations of the same topic but when they r different concepts or characters or esp moods i'm like wait! i have different things to say about each one! i want to admire and reblog each one separately with discrete tag commentaries!!
i just wanna show my love to each piece individually 😭
#i know it can be more convenient#or feel like you're bothering other people less#or let them all circulate together instead of just one blowing up and the others floundering#but maybe i'm just browsing on a tiny phone screen but as a viewer i want each to have room to shine 😭#i do my best to still comment on the different bits but it's hard to hold all of my reactions in my head at once#it's easier to go directly from the one pic to the one set of tags#rather than switching back and forth#like how it's easier to comment on a fic in a google doc vs a 10k oneshot on ao3#this also applies to meme edit dumps. i wanna reblog my faves w individual lols!! also i'm tired of tryna zoom in!#silver.chat

Okay, I already posted about this, however at the time I was posting about another Bishova fic I'm working on. I haven't quit working on that one, it is just a much more complex story and I'm trying to ensure things flow properly.
That said, I recently got inspired and now I'm a few chapters into a shorter fic that is much less complex. So, I am seeking a Beta Reader for it. The first chapter is in Google Docs and ready to be reviewed.
So, here is the summary (subject to change), along with the Beta Reader checklist and other things worth noting.
(Also note that this fic is purely self-indulgent. I had inspiration and now, well, I can't stop myself. I have no self-control whatsoever.)
_________________________________
Fic summary:
"Holy hell!" Kate gasps, eyes wide with shock. "It's Hawkeye! The Hawkeye! The Avenger! In... whatever room this is. Wait, where am I? Why is Hawkeye here? Oh my God, did I die? Is this heaven?"
She starts rambling, excitement quickly bleeding into confusion.
What?
Yelena feels her stomach drop. There is no reason Kate wouldn’t know who Clint is. She texts him every day along with frequent video calls. Clint, Laura, and Yelena exchange an alarmed glance, all unsure of what to say or think.
“Kate Bishop...” Yelena swallows, nausea quickly building. “Are you being serious? Please tell me you’re playing a really cruel joke. I do not like this… Please stop.”
“Stop what? If anything, there’s a joke being played on me! But if it means meeting Hawkeye, then I don’t mind.”
“I’ll get the doctor. Clint, come with me,” Laura says quickly, already heading for the door, Clint following with an uneasy look.
Kate turns to Yelena. “Hawkeye is here. Oh my god. I can’t believe it. Can you believe it? Oh yeah, who are you, by the way? Sorry if that sounds rude.”
AKA
The one where Kate doesn't remember anything about Christmas 2024 and beyond after a mission gone wrong. Set 7 months post-canon.

what's in a name
What’s in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet
They’re eating dinner when Osha asks the question. She’s sitting on the stone steps in their cave, cradling a bowl of soup in her hands. She looks relaxed, one leg propped on the step, the other curled under her.
“I still can't believe I never heard of you back at the temple. You're not that old,” there's mischief in her eyes as she adds that last part. Surprised, Qimir drops his spoon into his soup.
He wonders if she minds, if she would prefer they were closer in age. Imagines how it would be if he knew her before. What it would be like to train together as padawans and share their first experiences. Imagines sneaking out of the Jedi temple with her to lie in a meadow, young and innocent. Kissing for the first time, surrounded by flowers and sunlight and life.
It makes him think about his time as Vernestra's padawan. The years he spent training under her were nothing like the vision he just conjured. He had a different name then, already half-forgotten and alien to him. It belonged to a different person – a person he hasn't been for a long time. Even if she heard of him, she wouldn't know it, she wouldn’t recognise that other name. And who's to say what lies Vernestra spun when she returned to Coruscant without her padawan? He knows her well enough to know she would never let the story of his fall to the dark side see the light of day. Would never let the world learn how she maimed him and left him half-dead for the local predators to finish the job for her. No, she would make sure to control the narrative. He has a feeling even he wouldn’t recognise the version of the story she presented to the Jedi.
Would he still be the boy he used to be if he knew Osha back then? Would having her by his side keep him in the light? He thinks it’s more likely it would make him fall sooner. Because try as he might, he can’t imagine having Osha in his life and not loving her with a burning passion. Having her in his life and meekly adhering to the ridiculously strict tenets of the Jedi code.
Qimir may not be the name given to him by his parents, but he only spent a few years with them, barely remembers life before he was taken by the Jedi anyway, so does it even matter? This is the name he chose for himself. As a cover at first, yes, but then – then it was the name Osha knew him by. Just like his bumbling alter ego, it holds fragments of his true self. Even if the name wasn't his originally, he wants to be Qimir. Osha's Qimir.
This is now also on ao3 along with my other fic!
what's in a name
walking away from all you know
By popular demand, and by 'popular demand' I mean literally one person, I'm sharing my writing for the first time in years😅 Please be gentle.
I've been turning the issue of Qimir's name in my head over and over again. Pondering the significance of name vs. identity, and whether his real name is actually important when he must have changed so much ever since he became the Stranger, like a magical orb. Last night I couldn't sleep until I got this out of my head and on paper (well, on a google doc but, you know). I have two notebook pages of bullet points of things I'd like to see explored in a continuation of Osha and Qimir's story and the name reveal, or lack thereof, is one of them. Who knows, maybe now that I got this one out I'll latch onto another and cook something up to be read by me and exactly one other person.
@septemberlikeastorm thanks for being an excellent hypeman and getting my rusty writing gears going again by inspiring me with your lovely fic. Everyone go read cascade ocean wave blues come on ao3, it's the best thing since sliced bread 👌

Thinking about the scenario where, after the DSOD nonsense, Mokuba convinces Seto to let him go to high school (thanks for planting that idea into my brain). And Atem, freshly emerged in his 16 year old body, with little memory of modern education, decides, fuck it, I’ll go to high school too. And Mokuba is SO mad, he’s seething, like I already have to share Nii-sama with you, can’t I have ONE thing that’s completely MINE?
I don’t really think Atem would go back to high school but it would be funny, like Isono picks up both of them from school, and he’s sweating buckets in the car while Mokuba creates RANCID vibes and Atem is like … :)? Atem tries to get Yugi and co to tutor him, but they don’t remember SHIT from high school. Mokuba begrudgingly becomes friends with Atem and then they terrorize Seto together. Yugi plays therapy to everyone involved through it all.
i love any and all kinds of atem vs. mokuba petty passive aggressive "who are we to each other" / "who are you and what do you want with my brother" drama so i'm intrigued. you should open up a google doc and write some scenes and string them into a cohesive narrative and hit POST NEW WORK on AO3 so the people can read this

ABOUT ME
LaDs-centric account | Hey there! I’m JD, but you might know me as Eerie Promis or SonnyBeee. I don’t self-insert; for me, MC is just another character in the story. I call her Mei and always picture her original model when reading fanfics. I love exploring deep character dynamics, mythology, and layered storytelling. My writing thrives on tragic love, humor, and power struggles, with a focus on worldbuilding and emotional depth. I also enjoy unconventional ideas and "what if" scenarios - not because I favor one character over another, but because I love seeing different dynamics play out. I am a Caleb main, with Xavier as my secondary and Rafayel as my bestie - I like them all though. Still won't save any of them from any angsty ideas. (:<
Too many hobbies, switching between them depending on my latest obsession:
✖ Creative: Painting, graphic design, photography, writing, researching, symbolism deep dives, and drawing. ✖ Sports & Skills: Tae Kwon Do, badminton (but also, sleep), piano & drums (gave up on guitar 💀). ✖ Psychology & Typology: MBTI, Socionics, Enneagram, The Big Five - I’ve explored them all. ✖ Past RPG Life: Formerly super active in a Harry Potter RPG forum.
MY WRITING
I have tons of prompt ideas but not always time to write them. If something inspires you, feel free to use it! Just credit the prompt & drop a link - I’d love to read what you come up with! 🧡 I crosspost on AO3, Tumblr, and (sometimes) Reddit, but Tumblr is my main hub. You might also know me as SonnyBeee on Reddit or from my Google Doc "Eerie’s Guide Library".

Ellipsus vs Google Docs
(from someone who's been using Ellipsus for 3 months)
I think I've finally been using ellipsus long enough to be able to give it a proper comparison against Google Docs, which I've using for almost ten years
Is ellipsus still in open beta? yes. will this review be out of date in a couple of weeks? probably.
Do I still recommend it to literally anyone? yes absolutely
For those unfamiliar, ellipsus is a website that's (from what I've seen) being marketed as a google docs competitor specifically for writers. it's really good, I really enjoy it, but it does have some draw backs
I haven't tried any of the collaborative feature, so I won't be talking about them here, but here's the TLDR:
Ellipsus is great overall, it doesn't crash on you randomly like Google Docs tends to, it has built in dark mode, the drafts feature is an absolute godsend, and Ellipsus explicitly states that they won't feed anyone's work in AI training. The two biggest downsides is that there is currently no custom dictionary option, nor is there offline support. But both of these options are planned and in development, respectively
I'm going to go into a bit more detail here with some pros and cons that I've found. Please note that this is not a guide on how to use Ellipsus, just a general pros and cons list that I've created over the past few months
Pros
Built in dark mode
I cannot stress enough that this was the thing that made me switch over to Ellipsus in the first place. The fact that Google Docs still doesn't have native dark mode on browser was starting to drive me insane, so once I learnt that Ellipsus supported it, I made an account immediately. And it's not the bad dark mode where all the colours are inverted; it's proper dark mode with greys and a nice off white text to match. And there's also light mode for those of you who prefer burning your retinas off /s
Drafts
The drafts option basically makes a copy of what you've written and gives you an option to play around with your writing without changing original document. This was basically what I was doing with Google Docs, but instead of trying to balance three separate documents and inevitably confusing myself, it's all in one spot on the side bar. Plus, there's an option to compare changes so if you're like me an write in the draft instead of the main document by accident, you can see the exact place you went wrong
No AI Training
Ellipsus is very clear that they will not share any of our writing data with AI which is really nice and something I'm certain Google will never guarantee.
Ellipsus will explain it better than I ever could so if you're interested, you can read their stance of generative AI
Folders!!!
Ellipsus has folders!!! Folders!!!
Because I refuse to use Google Drive to organise things, my Google Docs home screen was either filled with a million documents (one for each chapter) or one very, very large doc with some 100k words on it. It did not load. I crashed my browser on more than one occasion.
This is not an issue with Ellipsus because they have folders.
It doesn't crash
A constant issue I've with Google Docs is that once a doc hit 20k words, I would get phantom lines running across my screen, the screen would tear when scrolling, and occasionally my browser would crash entirely. This isn't an issue I've encountered with Ellipsus.
Now, I haven't tested just how big of a document Ellipsus can handle but I've written up to 15k words in one document and didn't run into any issues other than scrolling was occasionally a bit unresponsive
A dedicated AO3 export button
A big problem I know a lot of people have is that Google Docs formatting does not carry over to AO3 very well so if you add italics for example, copying and pasting from Google Docs to AO3 will result in random spacing. Example:
"This is how it should look!"
" This is how it ends up looking !"
Note the spaces between the punctuation and the words. It gets really annoying having to go back and fix it all, but it's not an issue with Ellipsus because they export directly into ao3 friendly HTML
Easily accessible word count
This one is very minor, but I love that the word count is just hovering at the top of the screen. The shortcut to access it on Google Docs was annoying, so not having to bother with that is really nice
Cons
No Custom Dictionary
I imagine this one is a deal breaker for a lot of people, but you don't have an option to add words to your own custom dictionary. This feature is planned, and has been since May 2024, so I imagine that there's a lot of backend stuff that makes this feature pretty complicated. Still, it is pretty annoying especially when writing fiction. For the time being, I've just turned off the spell check and used a third party grammar and spell checker that allows custom dictionaries.
No Offline Support
Unlike Google Docs, Ellipsus has no offline support which means that nothing you write is saved to your computer. This was a pretty big one for me, so I've started manually saving everything I've written into a folder on my laptop and uploaded it to a cloud service just in case something happens to the Ellipsus servers.
This is a bit of a pain, but this feature is under development so I imagine I won't have to do this for much longer
The website can be slow to load
It's hard to tell if this is because of my terrible Australian internet, Ellipsus servers, my million folders, or a mix of all three, but occasionally the website does take a bit to load. It's not too bad, and it's like lightning compared to how long Google Docs can take to load sometimes, but it's something to be aware of if you're like me and suffering from already slow internet
Formatting
This one is mostly just nitpicky, but it put me off at first so I imagine it might do the same for someone else.
The formatting is constantly being improved, but there are some things that aren't great.
The font options aren't super extensive, and I really only like one of them (which is entirely subjective, I know), and there's no option to set a default one. At the moment, you can't embed images, add page numbers, or add links to page breaks further down in the document. These features are planned, but it might be a while before they're added.
I know that formatting is important to a lot of people, and by no means is ellipsus formatting bad, it just might not be right for you. It didn't impact me too much because I was able to readjust my workflow so that I didn't need page numbers, but others might not want to do that
Final Thoughts
Ellipsus is really good for what I use it for, and I don't think I'll be switching back to Google Docs for writing any time soon. I might give another update on my thoughts in the following months when I'm back at uni and need to use Docs for uni work, but from what I can tell so far Ellipsus is the superior writing app
It's definitely missing some key features, but it's still in open beta so that can only be expected
New features are being added, just in the last few months some new text colours were added (I think, maybe I just never noticed them) but they didn't impact me as much as I imagine they impacted others. The biggest thing I'm looking forward to is offline support but my software engineer brother tells me that requires a lot of work so best of luck to all the ellipsus devs

the ellipsus 'export to ao3 code' worked very well but i am back using google docs for a few reasons:
the ellipsus support website is a discord server. fuck that shit, pay for a forum so i can just look things uo without bothering anyone on a program you don't even own and that i find anxiety-inducing, you cheap gits.
no colours of text, which might change but until then my system of notes vs text doesn't work.
it seemed to disconnect a lot and the advice on the site was don't worry just keep typing, WTF you expect me to risk losing MORE of my work? where even is it if it's not online! is that why i had to unintuitively download a dictionary for an online thing? (oh look there's no forum i could go and check that on...)
it looks pretty though. i'd prefer to use it and google is bad but i am used to the badness now and it was less full of anxiety triggers. :'(

This was the moment that sparked the creation of The Crow Cries at Midnight... Which means the anniversary of the AU's initial brainstorming is coming up in less than a month. The original outline on google docs was also started that very day. I remember spending like eight hours in the Inverted Fate server spitballing the idea and at that point, I was filled with immense motivation. At the time of writing this post, I've written/drafted over 60 chapters of the fic and am hard at work in plotting out what's to come. Hundreds of thousands of words written in eleven months. It's crazy to think about how such a simple idea has evolved into something so huge. The original outline doc was over 600 pages. The second was also hundreds of pages, and now I am on the third. My outlining process has also evolved a lot, becoming more akin to first drafts, like so:
(Here's a lil' teaser for Chapter 54. ...Yes, I know the doc says 53. AO3 counts the Sae and Naoto interlude as a numbered chapter, so there's a slight discrepancy in the numbers in the outline vs AO3.) I don't intend to rush this by any means, but I can honestly see myself finishing the Persona 4 fic by the end of 2024, or at least having a very solid plan for how it will end.

Warning Writers and Artist
If you see this or something similar in your messages or asking about if your art uses AI or if you use AI for your fics, do not engage them directly.
There is someone going around that is outright accusing people of using AI for works of theirs and asking to prove it. Either through showing their process with a video but the platform they used or the programs and are just being pushy about it. And while it can feel tempting to answer, it is just to get to harass artist and writers into complying about AI in any works. And from a cursory glance, they seem be going after popular blogs/ artists/ or specific ships that are being asked to be questioned. (I will not name which ships as that is not my business but I will tag in ones I am familiar with).
As for the person that asked me this, I will be candid and say this: Asking someone if they use AI in their works is not conductive to ones time. I only have a cursory understanding of AI vs Human in the arts debate as I know there is a lot of discussions about it and yes, it is scary times because of the scraping of fics and art. I considers myself an artist/ writer, so I am a strong believer in human touch as being necessary for any artistic front. But the subject of AI tools is not something I know all details about and cannot provide an answer I would be confident I can provide a suitable answer to this conversation. Also keep in mind - Microsoft and/ google docs use AI for editing purposes or suggestions unless you turn it off, so make of that what you will. (Or if you have a plug in with AI that give a suggestion of what to write in some websites so there is that too).
But if you are the person that I have heard that is going around and asking people for proof of creation - it causing more headaches than good and asking for "proof of it" is also potentially harmful for showing this unnecessary proof. Such as exposing someones computer background information or anything on their computer or names on files linking actual real life people.
There are ways to make sure that art is not scraped - such as artist finding programs to prevent their images from being used for AI searches to writers using sites like Ao3 that offer locking works from getting scrapped from AI that at as guests that are not registered to the system. It is not prefect, but it is a start. If that is what you are looking to accomplish, then promote the good ways to prevent AI from scraping works from content creator and or finding new methods to promote human artist/ writers in fandoms.
Asking me if I use AI is not one of them. And no, I will not be proving myself or showing off my works for anyone's amusement to rile up drama. If you want to ask about my genuine thought process or ideas for fics and concerns if I use AI, ask in the comments below. Let's talk publicly about this.
Otherwise, I see this as just someone trying get me to cause drama before more content comes out for a certain fandom. And I don't have the time nor patience for people looking to cause issues because you are bored.

You write, right?
I do my stuff on a google doc, qnd i wqs womdering wether or not you could just copy paste it into AO3 or if you need to do some wacky shit with it
Help, pls
Hello, yes I do write!
So, the big thing when transferring a fic from google docs to Ao3 is when you get down to the Work Text box, you gotta make sure it's in Rich Text.
This is at the top of the text box that you'll copy paste your fic into.
If you copy paste it from Google Docs into HTML you'll lose all of your italics, bolding, anything funky like that. HTML is programming language and only needs to be used in specific situations.
This is how HTML is used, probably not how you wanna write out your fic /lh
Here's what Rich Text vs HTML looks like after copy-pasting from Google Docs into Ao3 (disregard the dark reader).
Just be sure to have Rich Text selected when you copy-paste over, other than that, as far as I recall, there's nothing too special you gotta do for Google docs!

the problem is that I have Much Worse thoughts about the Snake Men that I would love to play dolls with someone about
but I am still the same person who in 2016 was like ..... 'okay I will post all these stories (ranging from incredibly PG no one could find a single fucking thing problematic about them to 'what if one of them was a stalker killer who kept a guy strung up in a frame because the guy he was in love with drew on him' so like.... not necessarily 'good' stories vs 'naughty' stories.) on ao3 but I will talk about the fact that I wrote a story where like- the guy who uses sex as self harm- instead of being with his Good Guy partner, leaves that guy and ends up in an incredibly violent and destructive threesome with his best friend (who he has REALLY fucked up history with) and his best friend's boyfriend (who is very violent) and..... if you ask nicely... I could maybe let you see the google doc. but only if you hand over a list of triggers so I know that it isn't going to be upsetting.'
like don't get me wrong, part of that is because I saw the warning signs of what was about to happen- which is that I went from a fandom darling to having my ass *raked* over the coals because of the Purity Police
but like- they raked my ass over the coals for shit that I did that I will stand by *wasn't* problematic.
to this day sometimes I just get stopped by a sudden '... wow, they really fucking tried to dig up dirt on me and the worst they could sling is that I think women can be rapists and that I wrote about *addiction* as an addict. and many people thought that was worth sending me death threats over.'
and sometimes that is with great feelings of like... god how fucked up that period of time was and how now, even 9 years later- you can sometimes see the anxiety in how I publicly whatever on tumblr.
and then some of it is with a great feeling of '????? babies there was a google doc where I wrote a throuple essentially agreeing that the way they were playing was going to wind up with the one guy dead- and that when he did eventually get killed- they agreed to display his bones in an honoring way. I wrote *mommy kink* between two gay men because one of them had snapped 'both our moms are dead, so I don't know why you're pretending to be mine' in the height of an argument once and then it *haunted me* for months until I caved and wrote about them resolving the fight that way. ... y'all didn't dig up any of that. you really went after my ass for 'women can be rapists.' *fucking wild*.'

In Every Life
In Every Life https://ift.tt/G9mHc3h by emeraldsinthedark This was actually the very first thing I ever wrote, before Scavenger Hunt, even. I’ve had this little drabble saved in a Word doc for over two years. I gave it a light edit, but I tried to keep it true to the tone of my early writing and reflect how I’ve evolved since then. This was originally the ending of a sixth-year rewrite where Hermione had been sorted into Slytherin. She and Draco were in an established relationship as he got pulled deeper into the path Voldemort had set for him. Meanwhile, Hermione chose to befriend Ron and Harry, setting her on a different course, one that eventually had her helping with the Horcruxes, even as Draco fought to find his way back to her. I ended up scrapping that idea and went with The Scavenger Hunt instead. Anyway, just thought I’d share. Words: 1547, Chapters: 1/1, Language: English Fandoms: Harry Potter - J. K. Rowling Rating: Mature Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Categories: F/M Characters: Hermione Granger, Draco Malfoy Relationships: Hermione Granger/Draco Malfoy Additional Tags: Drabble, Forgotten in My Google Doc, Dreams vs. Reality, Hermione Granger/Draco Malfoy In Love, Hogwarts Era via AO3 works tagged 'Hermione Granger/Draco Malfoy' https://ift.tt/r4Vhpzt June 12, 2025 at 05:06PM

Trust me, they do. For many of them it’s kind of like a heist. I know of a few who set up whole personas to get into every goddamn corner, discord servers, an actual ao3 account, you name it. You have no idea how fascinating it is to them but simultaneously so petrifying. Don’t freak out, a lot of them don’t give a fuck. Majority, actually. Right after they go look once to kill their curiosity. But all of this only really happens when their media or advertising is really tied into this culture, ie: ‘willmack’ being used frequently in main posts by the sharks to refer to Will and Mack. One google and plane hits the second tower, when it would usually be far more difficult. This also happens if said person is young enough to be a part of the beautiful internet, this type of culture is kind of hard to avoid no matter how much anyone hides this. It’s astonishing that all of you think you’re a small chunk of fan base that can be ignored. Absolutely not. You’re all at least a third of whatever stat we’re going by here. Fan culture is also the 60 year old fathers who scream at the TV when his favorite team scores, etc etc etc. You’re what I call ‘the fandom’ and the fathers (,etc etc etc, all the smaller fan culture phenotypes that contribute less but still have their defined lines) are the ‘fans,’ I know fandom is technically both, but only the people who know the word fandom are apart of ‘the fandom,’ if you know what I mean. You have to be well educated in this particular sub genre of culture to know that the word fandom exists. Then, when you think about this, not many ‘fans’ post on the internet, do they? But oh boy does the fandom, that’s basically all it is. There’s no escaping, the famous ones are always condemned to it if they’re chronically online like 99% of the population. Usually have to be, because it’s a critical part of marketing to be modern, and modern is tied in a bow on their phone.
No because you’re so right, and I really should’ve been more specific—I was talking about that deeply online, AO3-lurking, trope-fluent little slice of fandom. The ones who will write 40k based on one slightly-too-long look. Not the full range of fans, just the unhinged gremlins (said with love) I orbit.
What I was mostly wondering about is how much the players actually know vs how much their media teams do. Like, I have zero doubt Max Verstappen’s PR team is well-versed in Lestappen and has a whole strategy doc somewhere. But Max himself? I fully believe someone once told him “maybe don’t Google that” and he just nodded and never thought about it again. Meanwhile, some of these guys are probably ten pages deep on AO3 in private. I find that whole unknown so weirdly fascinating.
And honestly, you put it perfectly—there’s no separating fandom culture from modern visibility anymore. It’s loud, it’s everywhere, and the fourth wall is basically vibes now.
Thank you for such a thoughtful ask anon—it really made me think!! 💕

Super simple guide for formatting for fics to pass from your preferred word processor to html.
There are bunch of codes you can learn but this is the easiest way to get some of styles for your fic.
First paragraphs vs line breaks. Visually the difference is a space between on block of text and the next. If it has a blank space is a paragraph, if it doesn't is a line break.
Easiest way to do a paragraph is just click enter.
Easiest way to do a line break click shift+enter.
More complicated way to do a line break, make a shortcut in your word processor that every time you hit enter it does a line break.
If you wish a more precise way to look at it while you are typing you can request to show "hidden" or "non-printing" characters.
The paragraph will show a sort of inverted P, and the line break is an arrow. This is universal.
How to show these in:
Google Docs
Word
Pages
When you copy and paste something like this to AO3 you still get some of formatting, meaning that the font you chose to use while typing your fic might have affected the way it will display on certain themes, the way to check is by clicking from "Rich text" to "HTML"
You'll see a bunch of code, and basically what you need to do is delete everything that says <spam> or </spam>
Quickest way to do this is doing a "search" in your word processor and replace the formatting with nothing" and you just have to copy the clean code to AO3. And all set.
Some super useful quick code to remember:
<p>Paragraph</p>
Line<br /> Break
Bold:<b></b><strong></strong>
Italic <i></i> <em></em>
<p align="center">Center</p>
Line break <hr/>
And then you are all set to publish your fic and it won't look wonky or weird from your document to the website.
