Can we see what Phoenix and Reginald's first impressions of each other are?

in my current fanon timeline, they met when Phoenix (though obviously that wasn’t their name yet) was roughly 18. one of their co-workers knew that the lead support agent had a reputation for giving free, half-decent haircuts to the agents, and since they knew that Phoenix— Laika— hated their hair and was dirt-poor, decided to introduce em.

Phoenix’s first impression was overwhelmingly positive. Reggie forgot about the interaction within the week. the next time they spoke was two and a half years later when Phoenix became a field agent.

Agent Phoenix gets turned into / body swaps with a cat.

Knowing no one can immediately tell, they take the opportunity to cause chaos via cat shenanigans.

Like... sitting on Reggie's chair or keyboard to ask for attention.

they always figured that if they’d turn into any animal it would be a dog but they’re down for this too! i know the common Phoenix interpretation is a head empty ginger cat but for mine i figured the calico stereotype of being fiery and very high energy fit better :3c

I know if they continue IEYTD they'll likely be following the Phantom thread through Phoenix's POV, but like.

It'd be so neat to get a prequel game where you're playing as the Phantom (Assuming it's Vitti), and you have a companion throughout the game that functions as a sort of "bonus Handler" like Prism in K-BOOM (in the sense that there are two people giving you directions and talking with each other too), but as the Phantom is put in more and more danger the Handler's unfazed, but the companion's getting more worried. And the game ends with Phantom "dying" and the end credits table has a goodbye note left to the companion from Phantom, and that note reveals that the companion was Zor all along. Which would explain Why Zor's Like That and give any dramatic reveal of them an actual narrative punch beyond being attached to/being the previous top agent. Idk, almost certainly will not happen, but I think it'd be neat.

Anyway, I'm curious how Phoenix reacted when they found out that it was not a vacation during First Class.

i don’t draw my Agent Phoenix during active missions all that often, but know that they never seem to really mind what’s going on around them. ever. it’s always just another tuesday for them
