I got to voiceact yesterday for the first time in my life. I'm at a camp thingy and there I got to try it out. And BRO.. That was literally one of the funniest things I've ever done, like I'm not even kidding! I've wanted to become a voice actor for a long time now, but after actually gotten to try it out, I want it EVEN MORE. When we va'ted Tangled, me and the other person I va'ted with nailed it first try. I was the mother (Gothel? Why do I not know what her name is..?), she was Rapunzel. Gosh, we were so great 😌 And it was a hard scene too, not to brag.

Lmao I gotta stop. Sorry guys haha. Try voice acting. It's SOOOO SO SO SO FUN!!! I wish I could do it when I get home too 😭 In the professional way, not the usual "YouTube va challenges" that I've been doing since I got that interest.

Okay, so originally, I was thinking Binghe as Chat Noir and Shen Yuan as Ladybug, simply because I cannot picture SY!Chat Noir flirting with LBH!Ladybug as shamelessly as Chat Noir flirts with Ladybug in canon

Also, you could easily have Shen Yuan making a complete fool of himself in modern day, tripping over his words and having Luo Binghe's schedule memorized and his next 87 birthday presents pre-made in a totally heterosexual way because Luo Binghe is just really cool, and he's the son of fashion icon TLJ, and TLJ is totally Shen Yuan's idol in the fashion industry and Binghe is an objectively hot model and- Yeah

HOWEVER! Rationally, it makes more sense I think to have Shen Yuan as Chat Noir and Luo Binghe as Ladybug

Luo Binghe IS the protagonist after all, and so it's only fitting for him to get the titular role

ADDITONALLY, Luo Binghe is the most tryhard man known to the world as a whole, you're telling me he wouldn't be tripping over his words and coming up with elaborate schemes to get his precious Shen Yuan to fall in love with him?

It also works as Shen Yuan being this very sheltered rich kid who's isolated from the rest of the world as a whole (Chronically Ill Shen Yuan headcanons my beloveds) and because we never really see Shen Yuan's family in canon, it's a lot easier to make a new stand in for Hawkmoth instead of having to further besmirch my darling TLJ's reputation (though I do think this man might go a teensy bit insane if it meant he could bring SXY back from the dead)

OH GOD WAIT EDIT I ADDED THIS IN AFTER TYPING OUT THE REST OF THE POST AND GOING TO ADD TAGS, YOU COULD GET AN EXCELLENT SILLY LITTLE 79 THING GOING ON HERE IF SHEN YUAN WAS RAISED BY YQY AND SJ AND IF SJ DIED AND YQY WAS TRYING TO RESSURECT HIM MMMMMMMMMMMMM

NO WAIT I LIED SHEN JIU IS ONE THOUSAND PERCENT FELIX IN THIS AU, making YQY Kagami and oooooooh I'm lksjfssjlksfjal;ksddjfsddjf If you wanted to do this with Binghe as Adrien/Chat Noir then Bingge would definetly be Felix, however, then you don't get a fun Kagami parallel because I cannot figure out for the life of me how to put two Shen Yuans in the same AU-

You then also get the wonderful opportunity for Ming Fan to be a stand in for Chloe, insulting the poor baker girl boy and I think some really interesting dynamics when it comes to Nino/Alya parallels

If Shen Yuan is taking the place of Adrien, I think it only makes sense for Shang Qinghua to take the place of Nino, as his best friend, objectively, however, knowing Shang Qinghua is Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky, and wrote 10,000 words a day about Binghe for his job, I think it would also make sense for him to run the Ladyblog, and attempt to be trying to figure out who Ladybug is the entire time, making him an interesting hybrid parallel

Shen Yuan thinks Shang Qinghua's blog is stupid of course, because he's a hack journalist that can never come up with substantial information to write, and its certainly not because of the fact that he's disappointed he can't find out succinct information about who Ladybug is, hahaha what noooo, not at all

I also think this makes it funnier if Mobei-Jun, as the Alya parallel that does not run the Ladyblog, standing in for Luo Binghe's best friend, really only gives a shit about Ladybug because Shang Qinghua is obsessed with Ladybug and he is in turn obsessed with Shang Qinghua

I also think it would be hilarious if Mobei-Jun figured out that Luo Binghe was Ladybug a long ass time ago, recognized that this was a conflict of interest between his friendship with Luo Binghe and his attempted courtship of Shang Qinghua, and just quietly kept that information to himself until Luo Binghe comes to him crying about how he can't do anything right and tells Mobei-Jun he's been Ladybug all along and Mobei-Jun is just sitting there, stoic as hell like "Yeah... It... Wasn't that hard to figure out-"

OR! WAIT! BETTER IDEA! No one knows who runs the Ladyblog, because it's run by the anonymous "Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky" and frequently gets comments from infamous hater "Peerless Cucumber" because then you get a silly goofy cumplane reveal on top of the love square reveal and Mobei-Jun just knew that Shang Qinghua was Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky all along because that man does fucking reconnaissance the people he falls for because he's insane like that-

I think Liu MIngyan would be a hilarious parallel for Marc, and Nathaniel can be like... Sha Hualing or Ning Yingying, or something, both because it gives you the parallel of Sha Hualing and Ning Yingying being one of Binghe's original wives in PIDW and also the implication of Liu Mingyan being the one to write Resentment of Chunshan when it comes to like the Reverser episode where Nathaniel and March write comics about Ladybug together

And last but certainly not least - how do we get Shen Yuan over his internalized homophobia to flirt with Binghe so openly when they're together as Chat Noir and Ladybug? (because he's certainly not figuring that shit out on his own, the man's internalized homophobia literally takes him three whole ass books to get over, and SVSSS would be an ENTIRELY different novel if Shen Yuan had transmigrated KNOWING he was gay)

My thought process is that perhaps, at first, Shen Yuan thought LBH!Ladybug was a girl when they first met

I mean have you SEEN Binghe's tits like c'mon-

Afterall, Luo Binghe introduces himself as Ladybug, and Ladybug implies a fairly feminine person, so it makes logical sense that Ladybug would be a woman, nevermind the fact that he speaks with the deepest and most appealing voice known to man haha what it's definetly not Shen Yuan's mind doing backflips to justify the fact that he is SO fucking attracted to Luo Binghe in a skin tight suit, absolutely not

Additionally, Luo Binghe canonically, in SVSSS is THE most skilled and cunning individuals in the entire fucking world, and as Ladybug, he's going to have that same level of creative ingenuity

And we all know how canonically Shen Yuan is going on long rants about how great Binghe is all of the fucking time, and I think that makes a really good parallel to why Chat Noir falls in love with Ladybug in the first place in Origins

I also think perhaps, having the outlet of being Chat Noir would make Shen Yuan more comfortable in toeing the line of exploring his sexuality more, he's free for the first time, and no one at all is going to judge him for what he says or does because LBH!Ladybug is always stressing the importance of keeping their identities SECRET, even from each other, so really, there's no chance of anyone finding out he's from the illustrious Shen family and ruining his reputation

I also think that Shen Yuan would feel that LBH!Ladybug is his first real friend he makes? He's the first - and only in a way - person that Shen Yuan can completely be himself around, which is also why I think he remains oblivious to Luo Binghe's flirting attempts in their day to day lives as high schoolers, because surely Binghe doesn't actually like him, Binghe just likes the idea of him and not anything genuine, but if LBH!Ladybug likes Chat Noir, well then...

And I think this would give SY!Chat Noir the courage to flirt with LBH!Ladybug at least a bit, and then when he can no longer deny that LBH!Ladybug is in fact a man, Shen Yuan justifies it by telling himself that he's flirting to keep up the bit, obviously, because it would be embarassing to admit that he thought LBH!Ladybug was a girl when they first met, obviously, I mean, what if LBH!Ladybug finds it emasculating, and takes offense???

Also with these dynamics, and the senti-Adrien theory, we get the cool concept of Shen Yuan being made to do things out of character that he doesn't really want to do, giving us System parallels---

Or worse, what if LBH!Ladybug thinks that SY!Chat Noir is homophobic because he stopped flirting when he found out LBH!Ladybug was a man?? Shen Yuan can't allow the Ladybug to think that he's homophobic, of course Shen Yuan isn't gay, but he's an ally to the community! His best friend is gay! And he's confident enough in his sexuality that he doesn't feel threatened by the concept of fake flirting with his super cool and very conventionally attractive, extremely talented superhero partner, and so that's why he continues to flirt with LBH!Binghe after all this time, and why his heart most certainly does not twinge in his chest whatsoever when LBH!Ladybug rejects his advances hahahaha what-

The other option is that Shen Yuan is just SUCH a big LBH!Ladybug fan that he doesn't even realize he's flirting and is instead just stating objective facts, or maybe even some combination of the two? But after all that long ass rambling I'm now obsessed with the idea of Shen Yuan using Chat Noir as a way to experiment with his sexuality so-

I suppose you could argue that Xin Mo could be a parallel for Binghe if you put him in the Adrien/Chat Noir role? I just don't think it slaps as hard as having the system parallel does, and the more I think about it, the more I like their roles this way, though the thing I love most about Bingqiu is that they're so fucking versatile you could flip their dynamics and it would still make a bomb ass AU

Anyways, uhhh, if this gets enough notes or if @spaced-out-scribbles is interested in this concept (my number one enabler when it comes to Scum Villain ilysm 🫶🏽/p) I will write out a whole ass fic for this concept, also if anyone ever gives me art ever for any concept I throw out there, I will write a fic to go with it because I go feral for art based off of my concepts it makes me start bouncing off the walls
