of course she's annoying!! she's a 21 year old girl, she's meant to be annoying! even apart from the lack of socialization with a regular peer group!! she becomes such an incredible, grounded character in the later episodes, she's quick on her feet, she can fucking hold her own, and you heathens largely judge her based on her try-hard attitude in the first meeting and when they go on the holmes hunt. she's meant to be trying hard!! she's meant to be kinda cringe!! she's a young girl trying to impress some cute guys like stfu. like dean's cringe-ass pick up lines are never annoying. so yeah, she's putting on the cool, badass chick persona but in this you see her vulnerability and her desire to just be good at this, to be seen as an equal, to do something right by her father. she steps into that badass chick stock character and she fucks it up so spectacularly cause she's naive and inexperienced and way in over her head and that's the point!!! i am so fucking endeared to her.

Yeah, Sam prayed as an act of faith. Dean prayed as a form of communication. Also, how fucked up was it that Dean was usually the one doing to praying because the angels were more likely to listen and respond to him, despite Sam being the one who was actually happy to find out that angels were real. Anyone thinking that Dean praying was due to faith, doesn't understand what faith is, that it is belief without proof.

Out of all the takes on here, one of the ones that got me the most heated was "Dean is secretly more devout/faithful than Sam" and the reasoning was that we SEE Dean pray onscreen more often than Sam - but the thing is Dean typically prays because he KNOWS someone is listening. Sam prayed even when no one was answering - no angels materializing to help him. He prayed because he believed, not because he was calling a friend for an assist.

They'd thrown their stuff in the Impala and were standing looking around Bobby's yard, wondering where he'd gone off to, Dean nervously fidgeting with his car keys, eager to get back on the road, when his old, rusted out Chevelle turned in off the road and rolled to a stop next to the house. "Where do you two idjits think you're going?" he grouched at them through the open window as he turned off the car.

"Caught wind of a few suspicious deaths down in Topeka, thought we'd go check it out."

Bobby got out and glared at them both before leaning back in and pulling a battered box out of the backseat. Without saying a word he dropped it into Sam's arms. It clanked as the heavy contents shifted.

"What's this?"

"The supplies you're gonna need to fix my ceiling."

"To fix your..." Sam looked at Dean, his eyebrows halfway up his forehead.

"Bobby, three people are already dead. We should really..."

Bobby cut Dean off. "People are always dead, or dying, but there is a crack in my dining room ceiling as wide as the Grand Canyon. And it's there because of you two. So you two are gonna fix it before you go running off."

"But..." "But nothing. If you want to go be heroes then you'd better work fast."

I know it’s for show reasons, but I like to think Sam and Dean fixed the crack in Bobby’s ceiling after Meg broke the devil’s trap. Which is why it’s not there anymore.

I think drunk and tired Sam is unbelievably handsome, and everyone knows this, yet it's not recognised enough.

Like an unsaid truth that we all agree on but I hadn't realized just *how* pretty he is. Those eyes.

sometimes I think about how much dean smiled and joked around in s1, not naive but he was young and the world, his world, was still so small and contained and then think about him in later seasons and how even when he jokes there's a veneer of despair and self-deprecation around it, he's so jaded and it's getting so much harder for him to fight, and then I'm on my hands and knees, sobbing
