Ready for another mini update?

I know I said I would do asks... but look I procrastinated into being productive!

Roughly about 5,800 words have been added and I need your help! Before I go further I need more feedback on the most recent segment to know if I should keep going down that path, writing wise.

There is a segment that will have the option to 'ask a question' or 'continue on' only having those two options is temporary until I know if people feel like that segment is dragging on too long.

Hello! I've followed your blog for a while (using alt account because my og isnt allowed to use the ask function or something? working on it -_-) and i've been thinking about making my own spriting blog, as i like to make hs-style sprites for fun. Do you have any tips on making/running a blog like this mayhaps? Thanks in advance :)

Hi there! So this is a late reply, since I've been thinking about what I'm gonna say for a bit. I wish I had more advice to give you but it really does boil down to: Make what you want! Don't feel pressured to regularly post if you're not up for it, there's no use in burning yourself out from your own hobby.

Also, I've found that being involved in the community helps to keep me motivated. I'm genuinely not a big fan of socializing and joining discord chats BUT I make exceptions for Homestuck Spriting discords, because seeing other people's works and having them interact with mine in turn keeps me motivated.

New Flight Rising Challenge:

Make the most expensive dragon possible without it being overly cluttered or not very pretty

Rules are simple.

Go into scry, make a dragon, whatever breed, whatever genes. Calculate its price based on if you needed to buy the breed change and all the genes. Eye vials count if it's not a regular eye type.

Then take it into the dressing room and go wild! Add up the marketplace price of apparel, and if you use a skin or unavailable item, check the Auction House and use any price it's being sold for.

Once you're done, just post it with #FR Price Challenge and show off your final price and results!

Also have another “first words spoken to you are on your skin” soulmate AU idea where Kara is a journalist assigned to shadow the controversial CEO of L-Corp for the day. It’s a big deal for her to get this assignment, so of course she trips the second she’s near the other woman and tries awkwardly to redeem herself.

The CEO stares at her almost in shock, and then says nothing. At all. Ever, for the entire day.

Kara spends hours following Lena Luthor around trying to fill the silence, but no amount of questions get her to talk. Lena almost seems to be running away at some points - like she’s trying to lose her? - and the few times she’s managed to catch her actually talking to someone she goes silent the second she sees Kara.

She asks around if Miss Luthor is usually like this and everyone looks at her like she’s crazy. Apparently she’s the only one who gets the silent treatment. By the end of her first day shadowing she’s walking away with half a page of observations and not a single quote. Miss Grant is going to kill her.

But that’s okay. It’s fine, this isn’t over. She has four days of shadowing ahead of her and she’ll be damned if she doesn’t finish this with a quote from the woman herself. It’s only a matter of time.

Alternative Fr Price Challenge: Building on a Budget

Follow the same rules as the previous, but your budget is 1MT in any combination of treasure and gems.

In case you haven't seen the first challenge, here's how this will go:

Go to scry and make a dragon! Treat it as if you needed to buy the breed change, gene scrolls, and if not a regular eye type, the vial. Make sure your final price is below 1MT but it also looks good

Then head over to the dressing room and use whatever apparel you can fit into your remaining budget. Unavailable items and skins will be counted at the current auction house price.

The funniest part of this new event is the fact I can't find out what's going on it from spoilers. All context is lost in the wave of Hot Eel Mom. I love her, all hail Georgina, mother of This and That, but where is the context? What *is* the event?

to be fair, we're still in the intro part, so not much has actually happened yet! Jade and Floyd were supposed to go to their mom's friend's wedding to help with the ancient merfolk marriage custom of
