My wife has convinced me that I should create a cohesive archive of all the little ficlets and blurbs I write on here, so I have made Maybe Someday, a collection of stories I may or may not expand on someday. I am slowly adding stories to it as I find them. Thinking about the way Kara was so resigned when Metallo Lena was preparing to hit her with a blast. The same way she was when Lena trapped her in kryptonite and she asked if she was gonna kill her.

Kara will fight with all her might against anyone but Lena. If Lena wants her dead, Kara’s probably gonna accept it.

“I like everything,” Kara says quickly.

Lena quirks a brow. “Everything?”

“More or less. I just like to eat.”

“Italian?” Lena suggests, already pulling out her phone.

“Sounds great.”

Lena orders several dishes, some of which Kara has tried and others she hasn’t, and Kara is relieved that she seems to understand the volume Kara needs to eat, even on a date (is this a date? Does Lena see it that way?).

When it’s submitted and on the way, Lena sets her phone down on the island. Kara still hasn’t moved any closer.

“Looks like it’ll be about 45 minutes,” Lena says.

“Awesome.”

Lena drums her fingers on the countertop.

“So, um,” Kara says, her eyes trailing down the curve of Lena’s body against her will, “what do you want to do until then?”
