You know I've never talked about this bc in fandom space It is kind of more a joke, especially because of the movies and fanonization of the canon but- It? Pennywise? Yeah It genuinely freaks me out.

I watch a ton of horror movies of different variates. Slashers, monsters, some paranormal but no monster/bad guy has ever popped up more in my nightmares than It.

And it's not really 'Pennywise' that freaks me out, it's the Deadlights themselves. It will be in my nightmares in some twisted variation of It, sometimes it's a version of Pennywise and sometimes it's the Neilbolt house that just opens up to swallow it's unsuspecting occupants whole. Like Monster House.

There's something about It, how animalistic and ravenous It is, the way it literally just lives to consume. Shit's scary.

A story about a king who is not well-suited for the job, but it's not like he's a tyrant, despot, womanizer, or squandering the country's wealth, he's just unhappy. He fully believes that he was divinely chosen by birth to be king, so why does he always feel like he isn't meant to do this? His only hope through each day and year is that he can eventually abdicate in favour of his son, but it will be at least twenty years before that's even possible.

He isn't good at court politics, he's not bad either, just not the sort of clever person who can stop the squabbling and get people easily on his side. He is haunted by a constant awareness that everyone near him wants something from him. He wonders if any relationship in his life is genuine. He longs for someone to call him by his real name instead of a title. His wife is a good partner, but it's no romance and she's still struggling to learn his language. He loves his children, but he chafes against the thousand unwritten rules and protocols that keep him from really feeling that he has a family.

Years pass and it never gets easier. Duty leads him on, because nothing else could keep him going for so long. His son seems intelligent and savvy, he only has to hold on a little longer. He's fully accepted that he'll never be remembered by history. He's no great king, just a placeholder for someone better.

He is on his deathbed when his eldest is twenty-five. He never had a chance to be free of the terrible burden that was the crown. He's never seen his wife cry so much, did she really love him all this time? His son tells him, "How can I ever measure up to your example?" What example? He was never a good king. Was he?

One thing I really do love the Sins of Youth storyline in YJ98 is that really does show how good at Young Justice are at being superheroes.

Because all the adults get de-aged and it’s absolute chaos and they can barely keep their shit together and Young Justice wonders if they’re that bad and the answer is “actually no you’re not, you’re actually doing pretty solid for your age in experience and you’re being held up to an unfair standard that invites more criticism to your actions”

It’s also a fascinating exploration of how adult anxieties are unfairly projected on to teenagers and while they of course still have room to grow and change and mature, the kids are, in fact, alright and actually capable individuals who do need support and guidance but aren’t helpless idiots by any means

Ok so when I made this I didn't know that the writers made Hera cheat with Poseidon and I agree that is bad/inaccurate/not very demure and mindful.

I stand by my original statement that Hera screwing that one girl was good and yall can fight me on it
