What I loved about Cinderella's Castle is it is so entirely about Ella. We know starkid can handle a show with tons and tons of characters but I found it quite refreshing for it to be so wholly her story? I think it was a lovely choice for this show and man Bryce did such a perfect job of it, she is truly such a star

i swear to god the universe is trying to prevent me from getting on anxiety meds
#I THOUGHT I HAD IT SORTED OUT THIS TIME but nooooo#last time it was bad timing to start & then i chickened out & didnt make a doctors appointment for ages#finally had another appointment and got a new prescription#it's bad timing again b/c im going on a trip but im just going to start right after i get back#talked to my doctor about this#she was like 'ok try it for six weeks and come back' & we booked a followup appointment for 6 weeks out from when ill start#and i was like 'so the prescription is for 6 weeks worth?' and she was like 'no it's 8 actually'#cool! sounds great! sounds like a plan!#i went to the pharmacy and picked it up#didnt look at it which i guess was a mistake#just looked at it now and#they gave me nine tablets.#NINE. TABLETS.#THIS IS NOT 8 WEEKS OF MEDS GUYS#WHO FUCKED UP MY PRESCRIPTION#theres no refills either!#im on half a tablet for 2 weeks so 9 tablets will last... 16 days -_-#they also charged me $23 for this which like. jesus christ#sure fine i'll pay $900 a year for mental health meds if they actually HELP but. oh my god#these did not cost $2.55 a tablet when i filled the previous prescription for the same med#i do still have that & will use it after i get a pharmacist's advice on whether it's like. still good. dont want to fuck around w/ that#but. smh#idk if they gave me the wrong amount or my doctor wrote the wrong amount#2 weeks on half + 6 weeks on full should be 49 pills#.....ah. someone dropped the 4#i hope they charged me for all 49 already lol it would be nice if this doesnt cost me another $100#personal

One of the worst things about Strahd in our campaign is that he's not overtly forced anyone to do anything. His underlings have, sure, but never him. He just waits for us to eliminate our options all on our own, and then presents us with his way. And of course, his way is the easiest. He'll even make it easier. We keep falling into the pit because he ensures we dig it ourselves.
We're almost past the point where he wants to bargain with us and I'm nervous about what happens when he stops being the devil we know and becomes something else altogether.
The recent reveal that there were other parties before ours has been so shattering for us, I think, because it made us all realize that our party is an amusement until it is an inconvenience, and then we'll be insects in the garden that have overstayed our welcome. And then he'll start with the force.

One of the first attempts at sculpting the boy; the head was later altered quite a bit and the legs entirely scrapped, and the torso bulked up shaking my shoulders feverishly: we need to properly represent his 110 cm bust and what we have isn't cutting it. Scabbards were made (which survived till the end!) and the original clay swords were made by this point.
New torso and legs give (hallelujah), as well as the loops and holes for the ears (such finicky small work, fuck me) were made. Holes were first made with straight wire and dried before the hoops were gently (and with swearing) inserted through.
Clothes added, also with swearing as the clay dried and stiffened faster then I wanted to and made it hard to get nice folds. Scarf was re-made and smoothed later.
Scabbards added! Immediately drops it and breaks a piece of it off. I've glued multiple bits of the scabbards back on the flimsy bastards. He remained armless for a good while. A Venus on the shelf by my desk...
Because the clay sword (after a good hour of tender focused work) would IMMEDIATELY would break upon the lightest touch, annoying me to no end, one evening was like God I wish I had actual metal to use instead wouldn't that be cool, and then was like OH! I COULD DO THAT! So the metal is actually cut from the tin of a cat food can, straightened and sanded., as seen in photo!

ARMS! and the sculpting is finished. Onto painting!
First layers of paint on various parts; I generally paint via colours I'm using at the moment (ie, greens in this instance)
More layers laid down. I generally go for shading in rules of three (main colour, lighter, and darker hues) and apply them at different opacity of acrylic. Adjusted the green since I found it too pungent. Once the fur tones were finished I gave him his stripes (cue me searching up loads of photos of tigers and tiger fursonas to see how people have done the stripes. Did you know depending on the area they are from they have different face shapes and stripe patterns? Fascinating stuff)
Finished project! Last layers, and highlights where added, adjusted the eye and fuck-ups re-adjusted. Dropped and had to reglue things. The gold is actual gold leaf I applied using a glue you paint on but that was a bit of a whole mess and took a long time, and doesn't go on very flat on very not-flat surfaces... (Who would have thought...) In the future may instead use gold paints for metallics.

My legs and arms hurt from the climbing I did to get some of these views, but it's well worth it.
#crater lake#most of the pass around the perimeter was closed off cause there's still a shit ton of snow#but it was nice#my headcanon in the death stranding fandom is that crater lake was caused by a void out that happened 8000 years ago#still stands lol#ive only swam here 1 time and it was the weirdest experience ive ever had in a body of water no shit#also word to wise if you visit and want to swim or go on the boat: the path is steep and a pain to crawl back up#make sure you got a walking stick good shoes and your breathing is well for that#same goes for some of the trails theres plenty of places to slip and fall make sure you don't go off road no matter how tempting it might b#i had to help 2 people today who fell down pretty good not off the cliff thank god but the trail and climb up i did#to get the closer pics of wizard island#i also mimicked the clarks nutcracker bird up there and had a full convo with a flock#funniest shit ever getting looks of awe and horror from people passing as the birds kept cawing back#and one flew right by my face it was majestic af#this place is eerily silent#which is why i like it#but theres spots here i don't go to much like water itself said places give weird or off vibes#i wouldn't tempt the gods of fuck around and find out here

#my dead honest review is that the waterfalls are overhyped but the view is gorgeous as hell when youre up on the mountain#and its genuinely a really pretty fjord but not bc of the waterfalls#like driving through there with the ferry was super nice but bc the fjord is pretty and bc the mountains look so fucking cool#and the famous waterfalls arent even the most pretty ones like. idk why theyre so hyped. anyways. gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous fjord#and i drove sooooooo many of the zig zag roads both getting there and leaving and driving up the lookout points etc#7 in total today and one brought you from 150m elevation to over 1000 so you can imagine how long of a zig zag that was#and i did it all so good as well im a fucking god#soph txts#pic#oh yeah!! and last pics are from up on the mountain behind geiranger where you can see the glacier and stuff also super fucking cool#and gorgeous as hell

finally caught up a wee bit with dr who, i skipped the babies one cos it sounded terrible, went with the music episode.
good things: i like the doctor and the baddy was fun and clarose (i forgot her name twice now) is fine. also a very good episode for reaction images:
less good: i think i made a few of those faces myself while watching. what i assume was foreshadowing was pretty bad (had someone decided "one word repeated every episode" wasn't enough?). i am not sure why the doctor knew exactly what was happening, i don't mind that as an occasional plot device (they do know pretty much everything, after all) but it felt over done in this. why was there a music battle? why was there a song? WHY IS MURRAY GOLD BACK, HAD WE NOT AT LAST BANISHED HIM?
