Okay for anyone following from my swapped au: I was relooking up name connotations because I forgot (adhd LOSS!!!) and.

Azeal (or spelled azael but he’s. Idk. He’s silly. Don’t think bout it.) means ‘made of god’ or ‘strengthened by god’ and I totally believe in the headcanon that main universe Aziraphale is just usually strong bc that not-man is a PRINCIPALITY, he has SHIT TO HANDLE!!! /pos

So, post-everything, Kokabiel discovers that Azeal can just. Lift him up. Or hold him. Like absolutely nothing. And this may be the greatest discovery of his life. Cue, in the wonderful words of @bumblebees-knees-threes;

Nina and Maggie try to help Azeal, but to little aid. Maggie tries to pass him an sos blink twice if you need help note and despite looking absolutely miserable with the angel on his back is absolutely OFFENDED that anyone would even think that he would need any rescuing from this (he blinks twice and the shop wives arrange some separate nights out; Maggie and Kokabiel go out to some gay bar in SoHo and Azeal and Nina drink silently in the bookshop)

gomens idea? Maybe swapped places? An antagonistic angel crowley who spends his time with arizaphale that is a demon that despite his circumstances and awareness of the horrors of hell and mankind still tries to be kind (both of them deal often with punishments on both sides)

anywasy uhmmm crowley's a florist , wanted to reference his angel design (and angel disguise design lmao, he wears slides) in the show and also baggy and hippie aesthetics for no reason, in particular, other than its fun DFGHD anddd demon zira can get micheal sheen's beard and still be enamored by victorian fashion w/e

and also i made zira's animal a crow bc, i think its funny DGHDJ and maybe instead of hiding his eyes he wears gloves that hide the talons on his hands, there ya go! whee!!!

Sometimes I see Good Omens Roleswap AUs where Angel!Crowley is still wearing primarily black, and, like, I can’t pretend I don’t think that’s a little weird but also… I kinda love the Concept that not even Divinely-Mandated Dress Codes could ever truly override Crowley’s Aesthetic.

I KNOW I've posted abt au names already but people are also bad at "swap au" names. The thing about gomens is that Aziraphale and Crowley are not and are not meant to be analogues for real-life theological figures. Within a swap au, there's no reason for Aziraphale to be named after a "real" demon or Crowley to be named after a "real" angel. "Aziraphale" is a made-up name that Gaiman and Pratchett thought "sounded angel-like" and "Crowley" is the name of a real occultist who became quite famous in British pop culture, especially with the misconception that he was a Satanist. Therefore, angel!Crowley needs to be named like a white Evangelical baby and demon!Aziraphale needs to be named, like, Blavatsky or something

Just spent about five minutes in HEAVY confusion after looking to see how many notes my most recent main post had and the post. Just. Being gone.

I VIVIDLY remember making and tagging this post. I check my drafts. I check my other accounts. I check my queue. I check the emergency draft thing from when the app closes out and saves in the new post restore draft. I check my actual posts AGAIN.

I am about to weep. I have NO idea if I just somehow for whatever reason vividly hallucinated making a post. I go to draw on my ipad to distract myself from whatever the hell that was about. It opens to said post that I got distracted before I published. It has been ten minutes.

seeing this get written was an experience! one of the things keeping me alive during prelim exams LOL if i remember correctly, this kind of started bc i was curious if bomens zira would actually have, i guess, a real demon equivalent the way shax (stork), beelzebub (fly), and furfur (deer) do. so i looked up the words 'crow demon' and whaddya know!

a crow demon!! and what's that? "cause Love"?

what a perfect fit for demon!aziraphale! and really, i was only messing around the first time i had the idea of "haha lol wouldn't it be funny if demon aziraphale was a crow", and then bam! all of it started to, surprisingly, fit well together pfttt (special thanks to bepo for being the one to piece it all together wheezes <33) (also, just really thank you all for bouncing ideas with me, it really does make me happy dfgdhjd <3333)

and then elle wrote a little snippet at first (IIRC) and then he just feakign!!!!!!! WOAGH!!!!!!! just, tasty delicious words, a fic that made me kick my feet like i was a schoolgirl while reading the whole thing ASKSKS <333

i'm really happy with all the spot art i drew for this! wanted it to look very uhhh, i wouldn't say storybook, but watercolor illustrations were definitely a huge inspiration! i wanted them to feel as nice and cozy as YOU would feel while reading elle's fic <3

i do gotta thank elle again for making these two fem-presenting when they were at the dowlings' bc then i get to draw butch gardener crowley. do you know how much that means to me? do you know do you do y do you know how m how much that how m b butches butches butches .

Oh gosh I just saw this Hi Hello Tiny My Friend Tiny ❤️❤️❤️ Let’s go behind the scenes definitely!!!

My main program is Clip Studio Paint on desktop and I use a USB connecting screenless Wacom intuos tablet to draw (I used to be a photoshop pal but screw photoshop I got on the CSP train early in my ygo fanart days thanks to a friend buying it for me when it was half off)

I use the default Oil Paint Brush at huge sizes for all my coloring needs because it’s round and flat and juicy and firm enough around the edges to get up against the linework I do (I think I used to use it for linework years ago but those days are long over lmfao)

Otherwise I downloaded a series of user-made brushes with names like b4 and b3 that I use for sketching and line work and absolutely adore, b4 was my favorite for a long time but right now I’ve swapped to b3 at size 12 and I think that is my new baby right now. I think they're from a collection called "my pen+" on the clip studio assets thing??

I also used the user-made brush hypocrite pen from the same place for quite a while, I had a big tendies royalty au comic I did in hypocrite pen, I still take that one out sometimes to play with because it’s just so wild and fun

I can't seem to figure out how to get links to any of these off the clip studio assets in the csp control panel, so gomen, but at least you know what they look like in the toolbox right?? ;v;

Ehhh I don't care for them. Obviously there's nothing Wrong with them but they just don't really do much for me! I don't really like super-divergent gomens aus anyway, I feel like it's such a concept-driven story and the reason Az and Crowley stand out is Because of the angel/demon thing, and without that you kinda just have, like, Two Guys. Write original fiction at that point. Again obviously this is just My taste but I really favor goomen fan content that works within the rules of the text (like a swap au) and especially within the framework of the original story ("Aziraphale was also a woman while at the Dowling residence" "Aziraphale and Crowley first tried kissing in 1941" "Aziraphale and Crowley have been having nasty sex for six thousand years and all that other shit happened anyway"), that's just my taste! I guess human aus are, like, Fine but I don't typically find them particularly interesting. Especially if they make both Az and Crowley stop dressing alternatively and just dress like boring men. Die

As I'm reading through the GOmens tag on Ao3 back to front, I've taken a liking to the fics where one of the executions from the end of season 1 (or at least thats usually the excuse premise) being swapped from an Actual Execution to Turning One Of The Bastards Human (however temporarily (depends on the fic))

The stupid thing thats come from it is I've been qualifying this specific plot as The Manual Samuel AU, because they have to manage a Real Fully Human Body for the first time

phil is an angel and he is well he is kind of average at it because he doesn't really care. well frankly he has his own priorities and he quite likes heaven to leave him well alone thank you very much. techno is a fallen angel/demon/what have you bc once upon a time his bestie dream was like So I'm Thinking We Should Secede From Heaven and he was like oh my god that's exactly what i was thinking. well dream wants to Become god but that's his own issues. anyway he is also kind of average at it because causing unending misery to mankind is kind of cringe bro they do that enough to themselves. they are supposed to be enemies but they got bored about 1200 years ago and decided to be besties instead

until......techno gets Assigned to swap a human baby for the antichrist to kickstart the end of the world and he's like Oh God Okay. I Guess It's All Over Now and he and phil quietly decide that instead of guiding the child to be a little hellspawn and kick off armageddon they'll just.....send in their colleagues to equally influence the kid. and buy them some time

unfortunately the hospital got the swap wrong and tubbo actual antichrist underscore sparklez has a fairly normal adolescence kicking it with his besties and adoptive family what have you

this is all fine until about sixteen years later the whole end of the world thing is supposed to kick off and phil and techno are like SHIT WE LOST THE CHILD and dream is like TECHNO WHERE DID YOU PUT THE ANTICHRIST and also tubbo is starting to get these wack powers and ranboo is acting a little demonically possessed and tommy is well doing his best to keep up

does the world end? well maybe yes. maybe no. maybe a little. it will all depend

oh and wilbur is there too! he is the least competent witch ever ^^

this au is so so so fun to write actually and i think the SBI in it ends up fun. but that is just me hehe
