So, able-bodied people on, like, TikTok or whatever have been having a field day talking about how Nessarose could never be played by a disabled actress because she gains the ability to walk at the end of the film.
And if you are one of those people, I’m going to try my best to explain this to you as nicely as possible: You know how when we’re kids, we think that our teachers live at the school and chocolate milk comes from brown cows? Well, it’s kind of like that. When we’re, like, 8, we think that all wheelchair users are paralyzed and physically can’t move their legs, but when we get older we realize that most wheelchair users can move their legs, and a lot of them can even walk.
The reason I used an example revolving around children being stupid is because if you actually don’t know what the word ambulatory means, I think you’re stupid. I think if you’re that uneducated about how disabled people’s bodies work, you probably aren’t old enough to use social media in the first place!
And I’m not exaggerating the level of sheer idiocy you have to possess to make these kinds of posts and comments: I literally saw someone say that maybe they’d string the movie actress up like they did for Cynthia during the scene where she flied! That’s genuinely the type of thing a little kid would believe!
To top it all off, these questions aren’t coming from a place of genuine interest and confusion; Literally every person I’ve seen has been reveling in the opportunity to be smug and superior to a stupid cripple. People are jumping at the chance to correct a disabled person about how our bodies work and what is and isn’t ableist.
Maybe I’m overly pissed, but I have a right to be! You people have a child’s understanding of how physical disability works without even a child’s compassion or benefit of the doubt. I’m happy to explain to Timmy, age 7, why the sky changes colors. I’m not happy to explain basic knowledge to a grown adult.

Stolitz Rant
Now before I shit on the ship and Stolas' whole character, I have to give Spindle Horse some praise. Seeing Blitzo go off on Stolas was like eating your gran's food, comforting, something that you waited for, and fulfilling. Blitzo pleading like a desperate animal for the book was actually very potent, I won't get too much into my life but I have done things similar for people in my past to stay even though it was a dysfunction mess.
Alright that's my little hat's off to you Viv. Now let's get to my problem with this ship.
Unhealthy in a Bad Way
It's unhealthy. Now that inherently isn't the bad thing, now before you judge me too hard, I'll explain. If a pairing is presented as toxic that's not my issue but rather how it is handled. Stolitz isn't really presented by the show's narrative to be a horrible mess that should of died as soon as the two grew apart in their adult life. Instead it is presented like a us verses them. Romeo and Juliet type of romance. Now it doesn't really work that way because of everything that one side has done.
Stolas Sucks
I hate this fucking rich bird man, he was such good villian potential, until someone named Vivziepop got to attached to him, and tried to change the story for him to be a hopeless romantic who has a tragic home life, a damsel in distress who needs his knight in shiny armor to save him, instead of what he is a creepy rich man taking advantage of someone, and is definitely just seeing Blitzo as a toy in every since of the word.
If Stolas wants Blitzo to fuck him then it's fine because HE wants it. If HE decided that his daughter needs to be around someone who has ruined her family then she will because Stolas wants it, not even bothering to ask the man in question if he's comfortable with that arrangement. Blitzo doesn't like how he treats him, doesn't matter because Stolas likes it. HE doesn't want Blitzo to have the book anymore and Blitzo will just blindly accept it because that's what Stolas wants. This man with a child acts like a whiny little baby because the man who he has harassed, stalked, coerced into having sex with him, and treats like some kind of exotic pet, doesn't trust him when he gives him the stupid crystals because it goes against want HE wants to happen.
All of that was to point out how self serving this dumbass is.If Stolas wants it to go that way it just will because he deserves it after having an abusive wife. Now abuse is a serious subject, but it's clear as day that Stella was made to be abusive to make Stolas seem understandable. Also doesn't help that the story neglects to inform you that Stolas and Stella had Octavia at 19 and were both victims of the higher class by being forced into this marriage at like 16.
My Big Problem
Now I'll get into the whole contract to sex thing and how morally backrupt he is. This rich man knew how vital that book was for his obsession's business, to the point that he was literally stealing it from him on his birthday. Now like a reasonable man he kicked him out and never made any terrible decision ever, sadly no he fucked him and really liked it. So sometime later the bird man was in his bathtub and called his side piece, while Blitzo is in obvious distress he gives him an offer and won't shut up till he verbally agrees, which the imp did. Now what part of this is romantic? Or even sexy in a taboo way. Like what in the Wattpad is this arrangement. This feels like a ripoff of a book that just shows a toxic relationship like it's suppose to be good, Fifty Shades of Gray. A similar dynamic to our two men here weirdly enough. Which originally was a fanfiction. Now my dear reader like I said a toxic relationship in media isn't inherently bad, but if it is written badly then we have a problem. Why? you may ask me. Simple early teens watch this show, edgy kids watch this show. I personally think kids are fucking radical little guys, but they are also easily influenced. A show that paints this unhealthy relationship as good and worth all the fighting, that it is worth all the heartbreak and trauma because one day it might get better, key word might. For some viewers maybe it was their first gay relationship they were exposed to. This could shift the way they look at LGBT+ relationships as more taboo or sexy instead of it being just another relationship.
Now I'll wrap this rant up, next will be M&M relationship a d how I think it has some accidental toxic underlining, hopefully I can also get my solutions to this and M&M out today aswell.
As always you look fabulous, I'll eat your least favourite organ if you don't say something nice to yourself today. If your having a not getting out of bed day, it's alright the world is scary and you can try again tomorrow.

if I hear this argument one more time I will combust seriously
20 year olds ARE NOT CHILDREN
with that out of the way
there is yet another brain rot blog post about how Blank the series is "pedo-coded"
first of all, GO FUCK YOURSELVES
second of all, stop the use of the word pedo when it comes to adults, because that's a word with a meaning that should remain as strong as it is, and to mean what it should mean, because this is a real life thing that causes harm to a lot of CHILDREN and taking the meaning from CHILDREN to cover your infantilization of fictional adult characters does a lot more harm than you think you try to minimize by demonizing fiction with ADULT characters in it.
third of all, the blog was written by a stan of OTHER GLs, because of fucking course it was.
now to their media illiterate take, and why it is the same with every other take against this series, that shows those who use that take seem to either didn't watch, or they watched with their eyes and ears closed.
first point:
"Anueng is 20 years old, but mental development was delayed, and she's mentally still a child."
first of all, Anueng was simply sick and missed 3 years of school, and she never had any mental conditions. this stupid argument besides being false in the case of this character, it also infantilizes adults with such conditions, which is yikes.
second point:
"she might be an adult but she acts like a child!!11!!"
fucking watch the show! SPOILER ALERT it is a fucking front, not a personality trait.
third point:
"the show only mentions the age to pass the thailand law"
the ages of the characters, the age gap itself, and what it means for them, comes up multiple times for different reasons, and the show is nuanced enough and brave enough to talk about it.
these same arguments have been thrown at blank from all over, you can find them in one star reviews on IMDB, on MDL, on youtube "reviews", and everything in between. they are all based on purity politics, and media illiteracy that plagues these trying times.
also that new blog post going on about how "this show tries to tell you it's okay" ARE YOU FUCKING INCAPABLE of understanding fiction?
the show doesnt try to tell me or teach me anything, the show just shows me a fucking story with a large age gap between adults.
the story also shows me that the older adult is not grooming anyone, and the younger adult is the one who is pursuing.
and they show me nuanced approaches these characters come up with to make their relationship work.
it;s not that fucking DEEP

Writing Advice: Swear Words
Swear words are a hot topic (for some reason) after all, they’re just words...right? Well, yes and no. You see curse words are more so, empathise words. They help express our emotions.
For example, take a look at these different sentences.
“Yeah, I’ll do it!” She said excitedly.
“Fuck yeah, I’ll do it!” She said excitedly.
Both sentences are about a woman agreeing to do something she’s excited about, however, one feels more excited than the other.
So...what’s the problem? If swear words are mainly used as a way to empathise what someone is saying, why do people have a problem with it? At what point does it feel like these words feel forced? How about overused? Coming out of nowhere? I don’t think I can answer any of those questions, I’m a writer, not a psychologist but I’ll try my best to explain what I see going on in media when it comes to swear words.
Swear words are childish: This one makes me chuckle because I was told growing up, swear words are for adults, now that I am one, I’m told if I use swear words I’m acting like a child...so which one is it?
I believe this kind of mentality comes from the fact when people witness others swearing, it’s because they have big emotions. This could be when people are angry, frustrated, or even happy. It’s almost like you can’t show big emotions for some reason?
If you’re creating a scene and want to drive the emotions home, put in a few swear words. This can have many different effects depending on how it’s used. For example, if swearing is a normal thing in your books, but you have one character who doesn’t swear. After a big emotional scene where that character who doesn’t swear is at their lowest point if all of a sudden they softly tell someone to fuck off, those words will have more impact than just telling someone else to go away.
You can also have someone just be happy as the example in the beginning suggested. Swearing can show just how excited someone is. If you need help showing off some big emotional scenes, try throwing in a swear word or two and see how I come across.
It’s impolite to swear: Let’s circle around the word “impolite”, what does it mean? People say it all the time, it’s impolite to use swear words, to stare at others, to burp in a restaurant, etc. According to the Oxford Dictionary, impolite means to have bad manners, but who dictates manners?
The deeper I go, the more I’m going down the social construct of swear words, and mannerism, but stay with me.
Let’s say there are two different families, one military, the other religious. One thinks swearing is fine, the other thinks it’s impolite...which is correct? Neither, it’s up to you to figure out what makes you comfortable and what doesn’t, however, if, in your opinion, swearing is “impolite” while you can ask people to keep it down while you’re around, don’t try and change them. That's impolite.
If you think swearing is normal, and it’s in your story, and others tell you to take it out, fuck them. If you, the writer of your story see nothing wrong with swearing and want to add those words in then by all means, go for it, it’s your story. You don’t have to change anything just because someone else didn’t like those words.
Swear words are for the uneducated: This kind of mentality is just stupid. There’s no reason to suggest you’re uneducated if you swear. You can’t tell me if a scientist breaks their own experiment due to frustration and they swear because of it that they’re no longer as smart as they were ten seconds ago.
If the reasoning for this is by pointing at poor and uneducated people to prove your point...that won’t change my opinion besides making me not like you. There’s no study which proves swearing affects your level of education or financial success.
Have educated people swear in your stories, if that’s the kind of language they’ll use, make them use it. There’s no reason to restrain yourself if it doesn’t feel right.
Kids shouldn’t swear: Have you seen video game lobbies? Kids swear and it’s fine. As I said, swear words help show off big emotions and kids are emotional, let them swear. If your story allows for swearing and you have kids, again, you don’t have to restrain yourself by making them not swear, if the setting allows for it, let them swear.
If you use swear words too much they’ll lose their value: While that’s true, partially, it shouldn’t be used as a way to get others not to swear. Yes, if you have a character that swears every other sentence, then those swear words will start to be just normal words. However, you don’t need to change how they speak if swearing is a part of their vocabulary and swearing every other word is something they do. They’re not uneducated, impolite, or childish, they just swear a lot and that’s fine.
Swear words, while empathising with the emotions we go through, doesn’t have to be this big thing every time a swear word is spoken. It can just be used as a word, a filler word if that. Sometimes if a character who swears all the time suddenly stops and just tells someone to "get out", that could be just as impactful as the character who never swears to say the word, fuck off.
You shouldn’t swear, you’re a …: This is just stupid, insert anything you want in the blank but just because you’re [___] doesn’t mean you can’t swear. (Unless your job is working with children you probably shouldn’t swear at the kids. You don’t want them to repeat what you said, going home and having the parents try and get you fired.)
I’ve seen this used against disabled and indigenous people, where others say they shouldn’t swear because they're setting a bad example for their community...no they're not. There’s no reason why people in a minority shouldn’t be allowed to swear. Also if you’re a teacher, and don’t swear while at work, if you swear off work you should be fine. You’re off work and have a life. You don’t have to keep being a teacher even when you’re no longer getting paid.
In your books, don’t restrain yourself by making some characters not swear because they're a [___] It’s your story, do what you want.
Swear words feel force: This might be the one take where it has some merit. Even those who don’t mind swearing can still tell if something feels forced or not and trying to convey natural swearing in a book is a bit difficult.
If you’re creating a story and it has swear words in it, I think the tone will be the big indicator if your swear words feel forced or not. If your story is mainly written like a YA novel, but you wanted it to be more adult so you added swear words, the tone might make it seem like those words are a bit forceful.
If you’re writing a darker story with gore and violence, swear words in those stories might come across as a bit more natural. However, too much swearing can be seen as trying too hard, while at the same time, even if your story is a bit more on the darker side if you never swore until ten chapters in, even if the setting makes sense for swear words, it can still come out as unnatural.
For example, when I read Dragons and Skylines: Book 1 Feathers and Gold, there are swear words in it, however, I think it’s because it felt like a YA novel that when they did appear I was caught off guard by them. The word “fuck” only appears five times and the word “shit” only appears three times, so when they do appear, it’s so far and in-between that I never expect them.
This might all come down to beta reader preference. You’ll need beta readers who are fine with swearing and let you know how those words came across. If it feels like those words are a bit force, changing up the tone might help but it’s most likely gonna be trial and error. Just remember everyone has their own opinions on swear words and if all else fails just go with what you think is best.
When are the times you should avoid swearing?
It mainly comes down to marketability. Children's and YA books, you probably don’t want to be dropping the F-bomb. Anything higher than YA and you’re probably fine. While I personally think swearing is fine, and don’t care if children swear, cursing has such a negative connotation that if your children's book has swear words, it’ll never get picked up by parents. Even ones who are fine with swearing will probably avoid picking up your book. The same goes for YA stories. Most YA stories are bought by parents for their children. (Even though in most YA stories, the setting they live in, feels like swearing would be a common vocabulary.) Apparently the Hunger Games, a dystopian hell whole, only mildly uses the words “hell” and “damn” and those aren’t even swear words! Have y'all seen the kind of world Katniss is in? I feel like swearing is fine in that setting but what do I know?
Other than trying to sell your book to a particular audience. Swear words can be used in nearly anything you want. Now before I warp this up, I want to point out the difference between swear words and slurs. Swear words help empathise the emotions we go through. Slurs are for the express purpose of demeaning someone or a group of people. Just so we’re clear, slurs are bad, and swears are fine, there’s a difference.

Space Goofs/Stupid Invaders Shipping Chart (Feel Free To Use)
Given the majority that I've seen Zero Shipping Charts of any of Xilam's Works, I've decided to pull up a Shipping Chart for the Space Goofs/Stupid Invaders Fandom to use it freely (though I've snippet Other Versions of this Chart besides than the Main One).
Reason as to why I put up with 4 versions besides than the Main One is partially because I was inspired by some other person who done the exact same thing with one of My Fandoms in which I present you both the Alien/Human editions in separate ways.
The Main Chart features the Main Titular Characters of the Franchise (both the Alien Protagonists and even the Side-Humans; The Antagonists (Dr. Saccharin, Igor, & Bolok) and even the Deuteragonist from the Cancelled Movie (Ambre-Lou)).
The Second Version would be an Alternate to the Main Version where it focuses on the Main 5 Space Goofs rather than siding them with the Deuteragonist Human Characters.
The Third Version features the Adult Human Characters (both the Main Villains and the Side Characters from any of the "Villain of the Week" Episodes) (Even though some of them aren't Human, this One focuses on the Aliens' Main Species Equivalent).
The Fourth Version adds a bonus with Other Alien Characters (Ex; The Spaceship Thief from the Game, Zekla from "Space Cadet", Fabrice from "The Alien Show", & even Candy's Fake Cousin Walter/Clyde from "Meet My Cousin").
The Fifth Version is a 2.0. Edition to the Third Version where it's meant to be a Junior/Kids version since the Blue-Haired Girl (Ambre-Lou) is Canonically a Child, thus, she would need to have her own Chart around with Other Human Kids from Other Episodes (most likely from Season 2 besides than how Season 1 has) closest to her Age.
Colors Representations in the Chart (presenting by the Colors of the Aliens and The Main Antagonists):
🟥= OTP (A Main/Favorable Ship that You Love So Much out of all of the Other Ships)
🟧= BrOTP (A Ship You Prefer Platonically)
🟩= Like (A Ship that you do Enjoy, but not that much as your OTP)
🟪= Ok (A Ship you're Indifferent to)
🟦= Dislike (A Ship you're just not into but don't hate as much as your NOTP)
⬛= NOTP (A Ship that is the Opposite of your OTP and one you can't seriously stand no matter how much you would Hate)
Characters in the Charts:
(Main Cast)
Etno Polino
Gorgious Klatoo
Candy Caramella
Bud Budiovitch
Stereo Monovici
Dr. Saccharin
Igor
Lucien Bolok
Little Blue-Haired Girl (or by my own fanon name, "Ambre Lou Astrean")
Characters from "Stupid Invaders"
Nelson
Spaceship Thief
Other Characters
Zibouya
Gerty
Steve Wong
Selling Agent
The Neighbor Watcher
Viola
Bob Jr.
The Three Students from "Back To School Blues"
Gideon
The Boy from "One Minor Technicality"
Gustavo
Marie
Blonde Siblings from "Toy Trouble"
Rules:
Simply Put Your Honest Opinions on however you'd want using each Line Color of the Opinion Boxes.
If you're curious about the "Misc" section rather if you'd ship any of the Characters with an Fan-Character/OC or some Other Character from the Franchise (hence "Other") or a Different Character from Another Franchise/Media (hence "Crossover"), you can mention your Other Ship (Crack/OCXCanon/Crossover Ship) in the Description if you were to tag any of the Characters in the "Misc" Circle.
For the Senior Human Edition, if you'd like to Edit/Add More Human Characters from the Show that I haven't put in or forgot (due to how Way Too Many Characters this Franchise has) besides than mentioning the Other "Villain of the Week" Characters in the Desc that you'd put your personal opinions on who would you ship any of the Side-Humans with, you may go ahead (same can go with the Alien version if you'd want to add in more Alien Characters that I haven't put in). If you don't know on how to do that by adding Another Character in, you can change by editing the Circle Lineup.
Credit or Link Me if you'd want.
Feel Free to have Fun with This! 😉

Pretty sure the reason why they gave him the red sash even as a kid is because more often than not child versions of characters in media are basically just miniaturized versions of their adult selves with maybe some design differences
That is to say I doubt that they gave a shit about any potential symbolism for the sash and they just put it there because the game character had it, especially since its meaning isn't as clear cut and easy to guess as Richter's bandana, whose presence and meaning are explicitly pointed out in the show
I'm aware that I put way more thought into the design than the designers :P but it was just curious to me that, of all details of his "standard" design, they chose to keep the sash as his "symbol". Why that, and not the blue colors, for example? (hermit N!Hector wears a little blue, but not child N!Hector.) Even as having N!Hector wearing a sash as a fashion statement since he was a kid clashes with the implication that it's part of their uniform, as shown by N!Isaac?
It's fucking stupid, it's what I'm trying to say.
Btw, it's obvious that in this case they didn't check the wiki:
In the manga he had no sash. Because it was part of his uniform. Even Kou Sasakura, who still made Isaac go around tiddies out as a teenager, understood the concept of an uniform!! Hector wears it in his casual outfit when he lives with Rosaly, but it was after he defected anyway! He still owned the other pieces of the uniform!!!
Listen, I know I sound insane! I understand this is a petty hill to die on! But do you see how these little details only muddle world building a character building? Now it's not just "why don't N!Hector and N!Isaac wear the same crest", it's also "why does N!Hector wear a sash as a fashion choice while N!Isaac incorporates it in his completely different uniform?"
This is called the greatest videogame adaptation of all time so much better than the stupid games it apes and it can't do something as simple as giving a character a consistent design!!!!

how to write teenagers
disclaimer: i am in my 20's. it wasn't too long ago that i was a teenager, but admittingly i am not perfect and there might be errors.
Edit: yes i used psychonauts 2 as an example, this does not mean all examples apply to psychonauts 2. This is a GENERAL writing advice post for people who need help, and this is a collection of tropes that personally annoy me. I am playing psychonauts 2 for the first time (no spoilers not finished with the game yet ) i wont spoil anything but i will say this: the interns are fucking awful. which is bizzare because the child characters from the first game were still side characters, but had so much personality. so here is me ranting about badly written teen characters (In general media) in hopes to prevent this annoying trope
1- teenagers are not sociopathic monsters yes some teenagers are terrible. yes high school bullies are a thing. but guess what? people don't magically become horrible once they turn 13. most teens who put down and bully people have hard home lives. stop with this annoying "lol lets just bully a random stranger for no reason" trope. Its lazy. if you want a good bully character give them a deeper reason then "well teenagers are just awful!" (looking at YOU psychonauts 2)
2- actually talk to teenagers/ write for the era it takes place in while teens have simmular attitudes than previous generations, a lot of how kids in that age group think are dependent on trends. being a teenager is a very sponge-ey time in their lives. Its the part where you are old enough to understand deep topics, but not the nuance of it all. at that age, kids re often trying to learn about the world and... you guessed it, become adults. not all teenagers are rebellious "i am going to do this specifically cus i was told not to" types either. stop writing teenagers like how you saw them in the 80's. not every kid is gonna act like the cast of footloose. In my high school experience, a lot of kids my age were very chill and tended to themselves.
3- did you know that you actually retain your personality when you turn 13 ? and that not every kid is a tik tocker attention whore with a phone? who knew? did you know that SHY teenagers exist? that not all teenagers are insecure mentally insane fucks who have to bend their entire personality and thoughts JUST to get attention and to fit in? its almost as if teenagers are people with different interests and personality traits and not identical mannequins with a self image complex not every teenager is a hot topic dweller who does illegal and stupid shit for no reason. Like adults, teenagers are a tad deeper than that.
4- Teenagers are also naive and stupid sometimes. yes i know I just talked about how old people just write about the parts of teenagers they hate and nothing else, but bear with me. don't write your teen like a shorter adult. instead use this opportunity to grow the character ! this is such a malleable age for them to grow as people and i rarely see anyone utilize this! they are young and dumb and learning about the world! that is perfect breeding ground for writing! why don't people use this more?? good example of this: Homestuck. no i am not going to explan homestuck's plot. I dont have 5 years to write this post. Just know that the characters in that comic utilize the age of the characters well without making them stereotypical "ugh smartphones amirite fellow zoomers?"
5- the age of the kid MATTERS a 13 year old acting like an immature prick? yeah thats normal. people in that age tend to be edgy and annoying. 17 year old acting like an immature prick? that guy is well beyond "immature kid" age and is just a prick. The older the kid, the more impactful their actions are. A tween is more likely to grow out of traits more than a 17 year old. I roll my eyes when i see "bully teen group" trope in shows when the kids are seniors and then they expect me to forgive the kids at the end. NO. you kids are almost 18, that isn't teen angst you are all damn near adults. let me say this again: talk to teenagers if you are unsure how they act. there is a reason why its problematic for a 17 year old to date a 13 year old even though there is only a 4 year gap. teenagers develop QUICKLY as they age. a 13 year old and a 17 year old will have vastly different maturity level while a 30 yr old and a 35 year old will probably be the same level of maturity. age matters. and finally
6- stop being a condescending douche. yes. we get it. its cringe that the 14 year old kid thinks referencing death and depression is "deep" but also fuck off. this kid is growing and trying to become an adult. show some sympathy. yes. i know you think your kid's date isn't as important because said kid is going to grow out of it, but don't condescend your audience: they are at a developing age and while it doesn't matter to you, IT MATTERS TO THEM. I have always hated stuff like the hunger games and divergent. I think they are terrible series specifically made to pander to kids looking for an escapist fantasy. But you know what? these shows were not made for me, because i am not a teenager. let these kids have their fun. and if you are making a show/book/etc for teenagers, then you need to put your contempt for kids aside to actually write for them instead of acting like you are all high and mighty. (an example of this done wrong: every bad boomer comic in existence) and honestly ? if you are middle aged and you are putting down someone 1/4 your age for just exiting, it's not impressive. It's sad and pathetic and you need to rethink your life. and yes, i know people put down homestuck for being... homestuck, but homestuck has a wonderful portrayal of teenagers and how they really act. give it a read if you have literally all the freetime in the world. don't read beyond the epilogues tho. HS^2 is dead to me. thank you for reading my bullshit homies.

They are the most popular couple right now on social media, actually it's not very surprising since there is no love story happening in other tv shows so it's like there is literally no ship wars or something but…even if there was, I think they could still be at the first place.
You didn't ask for my two cents but I'll tell you anyway. The show is a complete mess. Nowadays the writers just don't waste any efforts on their scripts. This one is no different, there's so much craziness going on that I can't stop judging.
So the main character Yaman (his real name is Ali Soysalan) was kidnapped when he was a child. Then he somehow ended up on the streets, grew up with three homeless children. (Cesur, Asi and Umut. Their names come from their characteristics I guess since they have no identity. Cesur means "Brave", Asi means "Rebellious/Rebel". Umut means "Hope". Yaman means "the person who doesn't give up, is strong") They become a kind of family. One day he finds out his real family and the story begins.
This might be too cliche, I don't care about that, but the problem is if you want to watch a heartfelt family reunion you may be very disappointed. After he reunites with his family, there is no bonding, no family time, no thought about how to spend their days from now on…The family find their kid and act like "so yeah, this is your family, stay in our home, these are your other siblings, let's move on." Come on! As a mother more importantly as a doctor mother, you just have to see the emotional damage and the endless gap between your kids.
And don't get me started on how Mother Soysalan announce the news to her other children: They just find out from the tv like the other citizens in the country.
Nothing makes sense, but let's just forget all nonsense and accept that this story is more like about a lost kid who turns back his home to get his revenge on the bad guys.
Btw, I am usually not that kind of person who comments on the performances of the actors but I don't know why, the lead actor doesn't make me really feel anything. The same actor also acted in Kardeslerim as Kadir a.k.a. the eldest brother, (this already looks like typecasting btw) however he is really not convincing here. There's a lack of chemistry with everyone, but this also might be a directing or a script problem because the other actors can't give any strong feelings in some specific scenes too. In short, I fast forward his scenes most of the time. The fact that his actions are so predictable doesn't help either.
So here comes the problematic part.
They are twins but I prefer calling them Jessie and James from Pokemon.
Since The Council of Radio and Television in Turkiye doesn't care the degrees of violence shown or the importance of right labelling for tv shows, I shouldn't be surprised by how this show is tagged. I, however, will give you a warning. The show is dark, there is drug use, excessive violence, emotional abuse, family abuse, physical abuse…oh my, you can put any warning actually. The worse, they are not handled very well. Law enforcement, is there even such a thing in this show? No. Any law? No. Stupidity ever ends? No. I know they are portraying the underdog people so the violence part might be kind of realistic, but the adults are so frustrating when they can not do anything useful.
And these twins are suffering from childhood emotional neglect. (To be honest the half of Soysalan family must be in prison, the other half should see a therapist.)
Alaz Soysalan, he is one of the problematic characters in the show. The younger sibling of the main character and doesn't like his newly found "big bro" (he uses this word with a mocking emphasis) because he sees him as the main reason for his lonely and motherless childhood. He doesn't know what empathy means, he just doesn't feel the others' pains unless the other party also goes through the same thing he does.
He definitely isn't likeable, but for a tv show where everybody shows acute reactions, his choices blend in the rest. Don't expect anything from him, he is a complete disaster.
I can overlook many of his wrongdoings because that's fiction, but I wish I had never seen the way he behaved towards his twin sister at the early episodes. I think it doesn't make sense since he is overly protective and possesive of his family.
Yeah, let's jump into the shipping part.
She is Asi. Your typical tough tomboy. Thanks to growing up together with a bunch of boys, she knows how to deal with them. She swears, she fights. But she is also loyal and compassionate. She is unfortunately helplessly in love with Yaman. He isn't aware of her feelings and sees her as his family, his sister.
When she first meets Alaz, they don't have any important one-to-one interaction. They just don't like each other and naturally turn into enemies. But this is the slowest burn of the show.
Like I said, he has lack of empathy unless he sees someone is hurt from the same pain as he is.
This is the moment he truly sees her because both of them are suffering from one-sided love. He realizes she's in love with Yaman and she knows he loves Rüya. Unlike the other people in the cell, she knows why he's frustrated and angry. Not communicating at all, they share something here.
I'm going to post more about them. They're the only interesting thing in the show. For the rest...meh. I usually adore family dynamics, but don't have expectations here after having seen the found kid part was badly written.

People I don't like and the reasons why.
- Minors on adult spaces that make themselves unsafe by willingly entering adult spaces and then blaming adults for discussing adult subjects in those spaces.
- Parents of minors that don't monitor the internet experience if their child properly and get mad at the internet and at other adults for creating adult spaces instead of being mad at themselves for not protecting the children they are responsible for properly.
- Radfems. I believe in equality and real feminism. Not in inequality, reverse sexism, transphobia, shaming people that are comfortable with their femininity because "it's bowing to patriarchy", porn haters, slut shaming other women, child haters, man haters and all the things Radical Feminism stands for.
- People that turn everything into a talk about Palestinians. Shaming people for still having a life when you "feel guilty for just having water" isn't helping anyone. I still help the news spread, I still boycott the brands that support Israel, I still give amounts of money I can afford to give to organizations and people that are trying to raise money for Gaza. Just because I don't post about it all the time and victimize myself online doesn't mean I have forgotten or that I don't care. I can still have a life and support Palestine, it doesn't have to be my whole personality.
- Flat earthers. You're just too stupid to understand physics.
- Vegans that force their naturally carnivore pets to also be vegan because "it feels so wrong to love one animal and eat the other". If you don't like your pet to eat meat or meat based products, get an animal that is a leaf-eater like you, don't torture the poor dog.
- Vegans that walk up to you while you eat a burger and try to talk harass you out of it.
- "Seperate the art from the artist" people. You can't! If your favourite artist is a bad person *cough cough* like Kanye West *cough cough*, you can't listen to their music without supporting them, giving them money, and allowed all the bad things they've done to go answered. You either have to stop listening to their music, or admit to yourself that you're selfish enough to help a bad person continue being a bad person for a couple of songs. You can only "seperate the art from the artist" if the artist is dead, because only then you can enjoy the art without giving money to a bad person.
- People that say "it's freedom of speech" when it's not and then proceed to throw slurs around.
- People that are haters of artists and when you ask them why they say "because I don't like their music" + [incert 584370 incorrect facts the media and other haters pulled out if their asses and can easily be debunked if you put the slightest bit of effort]. Like, no. There's literally nothing wrong with that person and "I don't like their music" is a valid reason to not be a fan, but you don't have to be a hater instead, you can just be indifferent if you don't like their music.
- People that wear shoes inside a house they don't clean.
- People that steal your good without asking when they aren't your siblings. My sister gets a free pass, but you don't. If you want a fry, you'll ask for it and I'll just say yes, because it's just a fry, you don't have to be annoying and steal it.
- People that say "ADHD is not real" or "Aren't we all a bit ADHD?". No, we're not. ADHD is perfectly real and it causes issues with productivity and concentration that you could never imagine, don't use it as an excuse for your laziness and then say "don't we all have done ADHD?". There's medication for it, because it is 100% real, so don't disregard it or say it's not real, it's just getting annoying.
- People that make jokes about autism, mental health problems, SA, sexism, ect and all it "dark humor" but get upset when you crack some dark humor jokes about men or the church.
- Neurotypical people that give the most basic, overhead "advice" ever to neurodivergent people and then think they know better when someone neurodivergent says "I actually have already tried this, and it's not really working for me".
- People that don't believe in the seperation of religion and state. The laws are for everyone not just you, and "everyone" includes people with different religious beliefs and therefore the laws should not be based around your religion.
- People that are Anti-choice. If you don't want to have an abortion, don't. That's good for you. Congratulations. I hope your baby is born healthy and grown up to live a long life and be the smartest, healthiest, happiest, prettiest person ever and I hope they achieve all their dreams. But just because you didn't want to have an abortion doesn't mean you get to tell others what to do. You go and focus on raising your wonderful child and leave me the fuck alone.
- Homophobic and Transphobic people. Because I have normal human decency.
- Racist people. Because I have normal human decency.
- Sexist people. Because I have normal human decency.
- People that chew with their mouth open.
- People that are "Lesbian Truthers" when it comes to a female character that isn't canonically a lesbian and has shown attraction to men in the past and headcannon them as lesbian and then call homophobic whoever disagrees. I'm looking at you Lesbian Azula Truthers.
- People that are "Lesbian Truthers" when it comes to AN ACTUAL HUMAL PERSON that has shown attraction to men MULTIPLE TIMES, FOR YEARS AND YEARS and have the fucking nerve to "headcannon" them as lesbians AS IF THEY AREN'T ACTUAL HUMSN BEINGS AND NOT CHARACTERS, and then call you homophobic when you say "hey hadn't this person dated multiple men openly? And I actually remember them saying they don't like you be all up their business and guessing their sexuality." I am looking at you Gaylors (aka Taylor Swift Lesbian Truthers). K!ll yourself Gaylors. Please.
- People that blame the child for being abused.
- People that get big dogs and stuff them into little apartments and don't exercise them properly on a daily basis.
- People that get bird and stuff them into tiny cages all day long for all their lives.
- People that are prejudiced again certain dog breeds when it's proven that there's no bad breed, just but owners.
- People that are haters just to troll.
- People that say "I'm not done talking yet". Honey, if you wanted to give a speech you should have told me so that I wouldn't show up. This is a conversation.
- Teachers that don't like kids. Why tf would you get this job then? And why do you have to torture the kids now?

ill say this time and time again but genuinely i hate people online who keep appointing the cause of every world problems on teenagers who use the internet and are stuck using the same 4 website as all the adults and who are trying to have a safe space without weird shit in it
like i genuinely cant stand adults who spend their day especially whining about how children online are annoying and that their access to the internet should be illegal until they're of age and that they should Die because they're SILENCING OUR RIGHTS!!! (the "silencing" is pointing out how a person was drawing incest and pedophilia and disability fetish art)
like i cant stand you all. you dont fucking understand anything. im not saying every teenager online is automatically a saint. we make msitakes when we're teens and that's it but unless it's something voluntarily bigoted and harmful it's literally not something to get your panties in a twist about. and blaming children for how strongly NSFW is getting restricted on socmed isnt it lmfao. because its lawmakers implementing those rules, ones that arent benefitting anyone but them & investors that want to look clean. like trust me they dont fucking care about what children have to say (especially if theyre black and/or poc and as a bonus lgbtq or disabled and so forth.)
its why i genuinely will keep standing up for teenagers online. its like none of you stupid cucks understand that most of us grew up on a fairly child-friendly internet with a huge array of sites where children could go and play games, or be on forums with kids their own age. you know where those sites went? they either went bankrupt (because parents decided it was not fucking worth to keep paying the premium subscription for a website mmorpg with a predatory payment plan - which is fair, but ultimately will affect the kid still) or barely scraping by via appealing to current website/social media standards. there is no girlsgogames.com like there was before. no barbie online. and so forth. these fuckers who keep blaming kids for everything literally dont fucking want to understand children nowadays who want an escapade from a possibly bad real life situation literally have Nowhere else to Fucking Go if they dont want to be monitored by potentially abusive parents (or just want some damn privacy for x amount of reasons)
this shit makes me so pissed off. going back to finish my thesis. bye

Yuri's regret
Hello, So this is different.
This can be confusing as this is Yuri's thoughts and As you know thoughts are confusing. So it sorta jumps here and there. I just want to give a peak into her mind. (I also have another prompt that will be posted later.)
I was once told to be loved was the greatest thing in the universe. I should have known that was a lie. And how you don't see what you had till it's gone. That one I should have paid attention to.
I won't say putting oneself above others isn't right or wrong, but it matters now. The way I grew up was second best to everything because I clawed my way to be an idol at 19. It was pretty common. But I was proud of myself. I didn't do it to be loved not at first no but eventually I lost myself and the reason why I started down this path.
My Mother never cared nor my Farther for that matter. What mattered was my brother the first born. Maybe that's why I laughed when the media said he died in a pile of vomit. I never said I was a good person.
But it felt like I came out on top. But I didn't because I lost the one thing that mattered more than anyone or anything else.
You.
Your smile was there when I needed to be cheered up. Your laugh was so heart-stopping that it made me think I did that. That angelic sound was reserved for me. And your eyes, oh how people made a big deal about them being cat-shaped, but we both knew they were right.
Your eyes were one of the most captivating on you. The first time I saw you I froze. And the anger you hid under them but you never said a word. Then again I never asked why you were so adamant to become an Idol. But I never shared why I did it either.
But what sticks with me still is seeing your face when the scandal hit. And the news of your departure and how they were getting rid of you completely.
I didn't know what to say. Ari wanted to kill me. Sun was so busy with Manager Shwoo to see you. But if she did she would have hit me. I don't know why I felt proud.
Sure I was getting the position I always wanted. Then again it meant ruining you in the process. And I wasn't able to comfort you this time instead sweet Haneul did that.
I couldn't come to you and apologize because at that moment I wasn't myself. Now in the present, it's different sure we're all together but you're not here now.
The fans know but they stopped asking after a while and Sun I haven't seen her smile or smirk in a long time. Just a business relationship. Then Ari and Haneul still hate me but put on a good facade for the public. It's easy to lie when all you've ever done is lie.
I used to run to you when a new book came out or the movie adaptation was made and be so excited to watch it with you. You never looked at me like I was weird no you got just as excited. I don't read much anymore not since that night.
I really did fuck you and us over. I miss your smell and the sound of your voice. I miss how you would say to everyone that we have to hug before the show as you called it. I never knew how great your hugs were until you were gone.
I can say I made a mistake but I wasn't a child no I was an adult I was older and in my own stupid head decided I was more important.
Maybe I don't deserve love at least not yours.
You should have dated Haneul. You were a few months older but still closer in age. If I didn't pursue you maybe things would have been different.
I wonder if you blame the stage malfunction on me as well. I would.
Your last stage performance was ruined and we no I couldn't go to the hospital to see you.
I still remember the news of the new group being talked about at the office and you being a part of it. I can't say I was surprised but then again you were hardworking.
Maybe one day I can say im sorry. Maybe in another life we can get our happy ending. Because this is just miserable amd I deserve far worse.

The Velma show sucks on several levels:
- Taken as it is, it is prime bait for conservatives and right wingers to shit on it and use it as a reason as to why diversity in media is a bad thing, to do the whole “Go woke go broke” argument, even though no one, and I mean NO ONE, asked for this.
- Taken as it is, it is offensive to people who want diversity in their media but want it to be WELL-WRITTEN DIVERSITY, because this sure as hell isn’t a good or even adequate effort at what it is supposedly trying to do. Do they really think we “liberals” are so braindead that we’ll watch a show that takes a fun and loving character like Fred and cheer when someone makes fun of his dick, or say “Yasssss queen, slay” when a brown Velma acts like a bitch for no reason? And no, shipping Velma and Daphne does nothing for us. We’re not falling for it.
-Both the left and the right are upset that this show is doing poor, lazy virtue-signaling in the most genuine definition of it. The show uses the characters as a way to do lazy, unoriginal, uninspired “Take thats” at the White Male Establishment for no reason than just because. Why do that with Scooby-Doo characters? Why destroy 2-3 generations’ worth of character precedent with this unfunny bullshit?
- It is supposedly a “mature” re-imagining of the Scooby Doo series, but tell me who asked for sex, drugs, and gore in their Scooby-Doo? NO ONE wants that. We want something like Zombie Island or even the Alien Invaders. Something just a bit darker than the standard child fare. Something where, if you’re a kid, it could be a bit unsettling. You don’t need to swear or have gore to pull that off. Just because it has swearing and sex “jokes”, does not mean it’s mature. It just means you can’t show it to kids. But that also doesn’t mean adults want to watch it.
This is such a setback on all fronts. It is a setback for diversity, a setback for audiences that want a mature Scooby Doo, a setback for people that want adult animation to be taken seriously. For God’s sake, it isn’t that difficult. Not everything “adult” has to be full of sex and drugs. Just take Don Bluth films from the 80s and just kick it up a notch, and you’ll have what people are looking for. That’s literally all you need to do.
Wish the hack writers at Hollywood would swallow this down and internalize THAT, instead of trying to peddle this stupid, uninspired shit.

I would like to share my text book that was used in the marriage and family class I took.
https://freesociologybooks.com/Sociology_Of_The_Family/01_Changes_and_Definitions.php
Billion dollars. Can't live in this stupid ass society with money and that sucks. Not even prepared for an actual partner. Marriage is out of the question. Root of all evil or something, I dunno. If I can't provide for myself, what makes you think I can provide for a partner. Financial issues is one of the major reasons for divorce. I can't keep a partner.
Not to mention, oh my gosh I love Ryoshu but another reason I'm so happy isn't real and I can just play pretend thinking about her, im 19 and shes probably way older. I know there's noting wrong with that, still adults, but there's still a weird power dynamic there that needs to be adressed. At least Ryoshu would actually willingly discuss that straight up instead of trying to sweep it under the rug. That's beside the point though.
This is from Chapter 12 - Divorce and Seperation from that textbook. OK so...
I wouldn't be in my 20s or at least, it would just be early 20s which is weird to me mentally. I'm taking this as immeditly when the Blorbo becomes real, its marrage time. Absolutly can not stand that. You think I could stand Ryoshu's ass if she were real? Absolutly not as a spouse.
2. The child's already dead.
3. No ones taking Ryoshu to therapy if she doesn't want to. No ones taking ME to therapy if I don't want to. Also, being broke, not going to happen when we can't pay a therapist. I can't read the dmv manual, you think I'm sitting down with Ryoshu to read a book on a sucessful marriage? Maybe actually, but you think I'm retaining that information? No. No I'm not. I'm willing and if the feelings were HONESTLY RECIPROCATED, I think she'd also be willing, but I can't trust that. I don't expect that from her. It would be nice though to help her, but I can't change her. No one can expect to change anyone, people need to find it in themselves to change. You can nudge them, try to set a good example, but only bad things come out of forcing or intentionally maniputlating.
4. Actually, too late to change the symbol. Tired. If she just exist, she's just going to be living alone. I wish I could keep THE Ryoshu in my room but thats weird. It would be akward to have her in my pigsty of a living space. I guess it doesn't count because this is during marrige and not cohabilitating before marriage.
6. If I cheat on Ryoshu, I'm dead. I'd need to be straight up with her though, I have a sub that I don't consider my partner, but weird stupid messy situation, friends with benifits sort of deal? Last thing I want is Ryoshu asking about why someone's texting me about buying a spiked penis cage. Anyone I honestly get into a relationship at all needs to learn about the sub, period. I need to be upfront and honest about that.
7. Broke af in a relationship is not the place I want to be. I don't want to be reliant on my partner and vice versa.
8. I don't know, the media Ryoshu is from has a big habit of aking tragic relationship, you know? From the statistic sides, yeah know enough to know I don't have the attention span to read reseach statistics well enough to get valid information.
9. All her lore hasn't even been revealed yet. I've done some of the homework but idk I'll be at early 20s at best if I were to make her real and marry right away with no out. Can I just marry and immeditly divorce her? Can I do that? Can she just exist in the world and I can say that I proudly divorced Ryoshu from Limbus Company? I don't want to marry her. I love her but marriage is a big commitment that can screw over multiple people's lives.
10. I can't change the mark but now that I see it, yeah, I'm only looking at the negatives, but stable relationships can exist. Stable marriages exist and their fluffy and warm and not unobtainable treasures, all relationships in general just take up a lot of work. That work though, I have to accept that I'm not ready to do that, and I'm well aware I wouldn't be alone because relations are a two way or multiple way street, but I'm not ready for it.
I love Ryoshu and I love her enough that I wouldn't want her to put up with my unprepared ass that would just set a marriage like this up for failure. We can just be friends, or not. I can just be a corpse. That's fine too. Maybe im just playing around. I didn't even go indepth about relationships, Im not the person for that. One time maybe. I can't marry Ryoshu.

Wanna know something fucked up? When I was in middle school the people who did our school pictures offered a service parents could buy where they'd touch up photos to remove acne and whiten teeth and whatnot. Now my parents did not buy that service but I apparently was Too Hideous as a little kid so they did it for my photos anyway. My parents were like "aren't you thankful you look pretty in your pictures?" All I had to say was "I don't look like that in real life." And I was called an ungrateful brat. I was like 11 or 12.
The wayyy beauty and insecurity was forced upon me during puberty. I could go on and on.
My parents got into a screaming match with me when I was 10 or 11 because I said I didn't want to wear makeup to my brother's wedding. They said "you need to look nice at their wedding because they'll be taking pictures and it'd be rude not to look nice for the pictures." Okay and I'm not too stupid to catch on to what you're trying not to say.
I still have acne. I still have yellow teeth. Nobody comments on it anymore bc apparently it's only rude to call someone ugly if they're an adult. What the fuck is wrong with people? Why is it okay to insist to a child to their face that you think they're ugly?
It didn't really stick with me, honestly, the only reason I'm writing all this is to say how fucking sinister it is to see what my family tried to push onto me be pushed onto younger and younger kids by beauty companies and social media. I once saw an instagram reel of 2 kids who don't even have their adult teeth growing in talk about their skincare routines. What the fuck are we doing to our little girls? What happened to playing with dolls and drawing with crayons? It makes me so sad to see my nieces submit to this culture so willingly. The only reason I don't hate the way I look today is because I was a little punk who was bratty enough to protest for myself and loved my flaws in spite of the people who told me I was ugly. But not all kids can get away with speaking up for themselves. I think it's about damn time we get rid of the rhetoric that "makeup is always about choices and loving yourself" because truly it fucking isn't, and the only people who say so are trying to sell you something. I acknowledge that it is a valid art medium and people can do amazing things with it, but it's much more often used as a tool of oppression. Sorry.
P.S. we admittedly do have bigger issues than kids looking "ugly." Like yknow. The illiteracy crisis. Kids don't need clear skin and eyeliner. They need books.

Once again begging people to understand that 'aging up a character' does not immediately mean the writer is sexualizing them. There are other reasons, plot driven reasons for doing it and exploring the concept. Fiction and media does it all the time and it can in fact heighten our affinity for characters if we can see them literally grow and change. You can't tell me there wasn't a single thing you watched, read or played that had a jump in time, a sort of 'where are they now?' segment. How many times did these characters happen to be children who grew up and maybe even started a family of their own? A fact of life is that growing up happens to literally all of us and if you wanna stay in a lala-land where that doesn't happen, sure, you do you, but don't harass other people about it.
For some of us childhood was dogshit, we have trauma, we have problems and it can help to see a character we've looked up to as a child navigate the same, or similar problems. There's a sense of solidarity and comfort in that that sadly not a lot of real people tend to have for you. It's also super insulting to say things like 'get help' or 'get a therapist' as a snide remark because that isn't easy for everyone. I in fact did have therapy and was 'let go' because my insurance wouldn't cover anymore sessions and I 'wasn't bad enough' to keep on, nor can I afford to pay it myself. Just, think beforehand you say that stuff. We all cope differently, we don't ask have the same options.
And before you go and ask me 'why do you need to see minors in explicit situations' I'd first ask you to look up the definition of the word because it definitely doesn't mean 'sexual'. Its means 'clearly'. Then I'd ask you to look towards the source content. It matters a lot of the thing you're talking about is Gumball or Sonic because the latter has a grown ass man trying to *kill* what are essentially children then, doesn't it? That's pretty fucking intense already, so what's the difference? Their 'powers'? So what happens to the kids in 'Into the Spiderverse' is also okay funi cartoon violence? Callum being possessed in the Dragon Prince wasn't severely traumatizing? So then why do the writers of those series, movies and games want to 'put kids in harmful/adult situations' then huh? And if you can't answer that because you "don't like that kind of content' fair I guess but I scratch my head at folks who both interact with that media and yet turn a blind eye to how pretty messed up and severe those things are to a child, if not the character then the children seeing that. I have nephews and a niece, the youngest of which sat on my couch, mouth agape and asking 'Is he going to be okay?!' when Tails got knocked out in the second Sonic movie. It's hypocrisy to me. And don't come at me if you're one of those people on tiktok with brainrot going 'I wish there was a movie where nothing bad happened in it ever!!' Because I mean... there are, it's mostly for toddlers though and even in those shows there's a *threat* (swiper no swiping anyone?) You clearly have yet to learn that we are being raised alongside the presence of threats not to harm or traumatize us, but to teach us how to recognize those threats and what to do when we encounter them.
Children aren't stupid, stop treating them like frail figurines to be kept in a glass display case, you're not helping them with that. You help them more by teaching them the ways of the world through fiction, yes, even the fantasy stuff. Also, sometimes media featuring children isn't necessarily for children but rather just an epic tale about unlikely heroes who we see growing up into warriors and kings. Its not about the kids or the fact they're kids, it's about the world they're in, the people they meet that help shape them. The adults they become are pathworks of their childhood, their friends, their family and yes, the hardships they went through and overcame *just like we are.*
I've rambled on long enough but I think it's just genuinely sad that if I want to write a story about an alt future for some sonic characters, I get scared there will be 'consequences' when it's got not a single instance of sexualization in it due to me having my own trauma and finding it hard to write that no matter who the characters are, even if they're my own, adult, OCs. Especially for an audience. It makes me gravitate more towards Sly Cooper where the characters already are adults but you guessed it! That's a kids stealth game with instances of trauma and violence! The main character *sees* his father being murdered at 7 years old!
We writers don't put children and minors through difficult or grown up situations not because we're out to get you specifically (if you're not a fan of that stuff) but because of a multitude of complex little reasons that could all fall under the same umbrella of 'for the plot.' Whatever happened to a good origin story where grief, revenge, anger and pain are something that can drive both a hero and a villain forward but towards different paths? Whatever happened to showing kids a character they can relate to, who's cleverly outsmarting a bad guy or fixing a situation with their strengths? I don't want to live in an environment where artists and writers can't raise difficult questions and situations, where they can't write about their own childhood trauma through the safer medium of fiction to get people discussing the matter, you have no idea how it makes people, regardless of age, feel seen when it's handled with attention to detail and respect for the subject matter.
And if you disagree, if you don't like anything I just did or still can't find the reasoning in why it's one of the most utilized concepts in fiction without immediately becoming 'sexually explicit' then I'm sorry but that's a *you* problem. Don't take it out on other people.
#Okay rant over thank u#I used to be Like That by the way I used to be horribly strict#that only good things could happen or I wouldn't even give it the time of day#It severely harmed me! :D#It only aided me in training myself to avoid difficult and negative emotions! :D#It took two years of therapy to unlearn that and I'm still not 'done' tbh#You're right fiction CAN affect reality though not 100% of the time#and not with every genre of fiction out there plus it can also affect reality positively!#But you're so busy with whether or not something hurts someone else that you didn't stop to question if its hurting *you*#I know you probably think the things that make you sad are immediately bad and you can just 'choose' not to be#But that's not how the human brain works and if you wanna find that out the hard way be my guest!#But don't harass me or anyone about it
