A Beautiful Disaster 🌋⛰️🏞️
"God made everything beautiful in its time." -Ecclesiastes 3:11
To start another decade of my life, This is one of my bucket list. Why? Not just because I want to hike, I love nature.. but to appreciate the beauty of the story that once, this place become chaos, the biggest eruption in the whole world by its time and now, a jaw drop beauty and mostly to remind me the goodness of God that He can mend what is broken and make it the most beautiful more than what we could ever imagine.
Just like Mt. Pinatubo, God let us face challenges that needs to broke us, for us to be the most beautiful in our own way by letting God do the mending in our life. Time does not heal, God does..☝️During the time of challenges and in our darkest hour, God is shaping us. God is still with us. 🫂
The beautiful landscape is the result of the eruption for these landscape to be shaped. So as the hardest battle, can produce the greatest strength.. overcome it with God! Our brokeness is needed for our growth and to be the person we needed to be. That is how God can use our situation and work in our lives because He loves us differently on how the world offers love ..🙌
This photo can't fully capture how beautiful is this place in actual, you need to visit it, for you to appreciate it more and realize how great the work of God is. The nature itself taste the goodness of God, may your life have this kind of encounter also. Yes, it may be fearful to feel, but when you face and walk with God, it is worth it.. This is what I pray for everyone each of us. 🙏
Now, A beautiful encounter with God. ✨❤️

Learning from the Wisdom of King Solomon
King Solomon, the third king of Israel, is one of the most renowned figures in the Bible. He is celebrated not only for his wealth and power but also for his unparalleled wisdom, a gift granted to him by God. Solomon’s reign, often referred to as the Golden Age of Israel, was marked by peace and prosperity. But it was his ability to judge fairly, his deep understanding of human nature, and his reverence for God that made him legendary. His wisdom, recorded in the Bible’s books of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Solomon, continues to provide valuable lessons that are still relevant in our modern world.
1. The Power of Humility and Prayer
When Solomon became king, he could have asked God for wealth, power, or military victory. Instead, he humbly asked for wisdom to govern his people well. This act of humility is a profound lesson for us. In our modern society, where many chase after material success, we are reminded that true greatness often comes from recognizing our limitations and seeking wisdom beyond ourselves.
In 1 Kings 3:9, Solomon prays, “Give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong.” This simple yet profound prayer teaches us that, in moments of responsibility or decision, we should seek understanding and discernment. It’s not always about knowing the answers but having the wisdom to find them.
2. Seeking Understanding Above All Else
One of the most famous stories of Solomon’s wisdom is the case of two women who came to him, each claiming to be the mother of the same child. Solomon proposed to cut the child in two, knowing the true mother would rather give up her child than see it harmed. This story (1 Kings 3:16-28) shows us the importance of seeking understanding and discernment, especially in complex situations.
Wisdom isn’t always about intelligence or knowledge; it’s about empathy, listening, and seeing through deception. In our daily lives, this can be applied in resolving conflicts, understanding others’ perspectives, and making decisions that aren’t merely about what’s fair but what’s right.
3. The Value of Hard Work and Diligence
Proverbs, a book largely attributed to Solomon, is filled with advice on diligence, work ethic, and avoiding laziness. One such verse is Proverbs 6:6, which says, “Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise!” Solomon uses the metaphor of the ant to emphasize the importance of hard work and persistence.
In a world increasingly driven by instant gratification, Solomon’s wisdom reminds us of the importance of steady, diligent work. Success doesn’t come from shortcuts, but from consistent effort, discipline, and perseverance.
4. Understanding the Vanity of Materialism
In the book of Ecclesiastes, Solomon reflects on his life and all he achieved—wealth, power, and pleasure. Despite his many accomplishments, he declares that much of it was meaningless. “Vanity of vanities, all is vanity,” he famously writes in Ecclesiastes 1:2. This book offers a sobering reminder that material wealth and earthly success alone cannot satisfy the deeper longings of the human heart.
In today’s consumer-driven society, this message is more relevant than ever. While it’s not wrong to pursue success or wealth, we must remember that these things are fleeting. Lasting fulfillment comes from our relationships, our character, and our relationship with God.
5. The Fear of the Lord is the Beginning of Wisdom
Perhaps the most crucial lesson from Solomon’s life is found in Proverbs 9:10, where he states, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” To Solomon, true wisdom starts with a reverence for God. Wisdom, in his eyes, is not merely about making smart choices but about aligning our lives with God’s will.
In our pursuit of knowledge and success, we should never forget the foundation of all wisdom: a deep respect and awe for the Creator. Solomon’s life illustrates that wisdom and understanding are gifts from God, and they come to those who seek Him earnestly.
6. Avoiding the Pitfall of Compromise
Despite his wisdom, Solomon’s later years were marked by a drift away from God. He allowed his many foreign wives to lead him into idolatry, compromising the values that had made his kingdom strong. This serves as a warning that even the wisest among us can fall if we lose sight of our principles and allow compromise to erode our integrity.
It’s a powerful reminder that wisdom alone is not enough; we must remain steadfast in our faith and convictions, avoiding the subtle temptations that can lead us astray.
Conclusion
The wisdom of King Solomon offers timeless lessons for every generation. His life reminds us that true wisdom comes not from worldly knowledge but from a humble heart, a discerning mind, and a reverent spirit. As we navigate our own lives, facing decisions, challenges, and opportunities, we can turn to Solomon’s example and the Word of God for guidance. Whether it’s in how we lead, work, or seek fulfillment, Solomon’s wisdom encourages us to prioritize understanding, faith, and integrity above all else.
In a world filled with noise and distractions, let us, like Solomon, seek the higher wisdom that comes from God.

Difference among fulfillment, success, intention, objective and fantasy
Every task doesn't need to be fulfilled but it should still be done successfully.
It takes wisdom to know which ones can just stay as dreams and which ones need to succeed and which ones really give fulfillment.
Let's pray for that wisdom!

When we take our emotions to God, He translates them into truth, and helps us to see the reality of truth instead of feeling the prickery-trickery of the enemy of our soul. God helps us settle our emotions with truth and navigates us out of the way of enemy traps to walk in truth. When we’re in a tough situation that is stirring up our emotions, God will give us wisdom, He’ll show us what to do next , and that kind of counsel is what leads to success as we thrive in Him.

Consulting the Wrong Medium | 1 Samuel 28:6-7
Are you talking with the wrong people?
Welcome to the Daily Devo. I am Vince Miller.
King Saul is freaked out right now. He glared down at an inevitable war with his two great enemies, Achish and David. And in his despair, he will do exactly what he shouldn't. Let's read verses 6-7:
And when Saul inquired of the Lord, the Lord did not answer him, either by dreams, or by Urim, or by prophets. Then Saul said to his servants, “Seek out for me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her.” And his servants said to him, “Behold, there is a medium at En-dor.” — 1 Samuel 28:6-7
Are you talking with the wrong people?
In Desperation, We Make Devastating Choices
Saul's fear drove him to desperation, and in that desperation, he made a devastating choice. This decision not only disobeyed God's orders (Deuteronomy 18:10-12) but also disobeyed his own order and reflected his unwillingness to listen to God in his anxiety and impatience.
We often do the same, don’t we? When life presses in and we feel anxious, we can seek answers in all the wrong places. We might turn to:
People: People who have opinions that are opposed to God.
Friends: Friends who only tell us what we want to hear.
Feelings: Your own feelings that lead you astray.
Time To Evaluate
So today, I want you to evaluate: Have you deafened your ears to God and turned to consulting the wrong people?
Instead, try this:
Talk with God in prayer about your issues.
Dig into God's Word by reading Scripture.
Seek counsel from God-fearing people.
Just so you know, consulting mediums are not the right medium.
#SeekGodFirst, #GodlyWisdom, #RightVoices
Ask This:
Who are you turning to for advice when you're anxious—God, His Word, or people who may lead you astray?
How can you ensure you listen to God's voice rather than letting fear guide your decisions?
Do This:
Consult with God and his people.
Pray This:
Lord, help me to seek Your wisdom above all else and trust Your timing, even when I feel anxious or afraid. Guard my heart from turning to the wrong voices and guide me to listen to You alone. Amen.
Play This:
God Who Listens.

The way to contentment when you are in a hard place is by fighting the good fight of faith in your mind. What are you musing about in your mind? Is it truth? Is it speculation? Is it rationalization? Is it presupposition? Is it assumptions? Is it presumptions? If it is not the wholly-holy truth, then cast it out, stop mulling it over. What you set your mind on, there your attitudes for the day will be shaped.

It doesn't matter how long you read. It matters how you let God’s Word change you—how you see yourself and others in light of God’s love, how you view your circumstances, and how your relationship with God deepens and grows.
"The Sovereign Lord has given me his words of wisdom, so that I know how to comfort the weary. Morning by morning he wakens me and opens my understanding to his will" (Isaiah 50:4 NLT).
Are you weary and worn down? Nourish your soul and stay emotionally healthy by starting and ending each day with the Word of God.
