A Beautiful Disaster 🌋⛰️🏞️
Tumblr media
"God made everything beautiful in its time."  -Ecclesiastes 3:11
To start another decade of my life, This is one of my bucket list. Why? Not just because I want to hike, I love nature.. but to appreciate the beauty of the story that once, this place become chaos, the biggest eruption in the whole world by its time and now, a jaw drop beauty and mostly to remind me the goodness of God that He can mend what is broken and make it the most beautiful more than what we could ever imagine.
Just like Mt. Pinatubo, God let us face challenges that needs to broke us, for us to be the most beautiful in our own way by letting God do the mending in our life.  Time does not heal, God does..☝️During the time of challenges and in our darkest hour, God is shaping us. God is still with us. 🫂
The beautiful landscape is the result of the eruption for these landscape to be shaped. So as the hardest battle, can produce the greatest strength.. overcome it with God! Our brokeness is needed for our growth and to be the person we needed to be. That is how God can use our situation and work in our lives because He loves us differently on how the world offers love ..🙌
This photo can't fully capture how beautiful is this place in actual, you need to visit it, for you to appreciate it more and realize how great the work of God is. The nature itself taste the goodness of God, may your life have this kind of encounter also. Yes, it may be fearful to feel, but when you face and walk with God, it is worth it.. This is what I pray for everyone each of us. 🙏
Now, A beautiful encounter with God. ✨❤️

Jesus brings light to the far corners of our life and the world. Matthew 5:14 says, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” When we live our lives reflecting this light, it allows others to see His love. We are called to share the gospel, but more importantly than what we say is how we live. #youversion #christianquotes #christianliving #women #family #godlylife #christfocus

If you don’t think Artemis and Apollo call each other “Arty” and “Polly”, you are wrong
If you don’t think they haven’t totally done the whole William-Tell-shooting-an-apple-off-the-head thing you are a fool
If you don’t think Artemis reads everyone of his poems and Apollo always wishes her well before a hunt you are an idiot
If you don’t think the godly twins are absolute dorks who love each other more than anything but would never say it out loud, you are sorely mistaken.
(Also an eclipse is totally them highfiving)

Eyes on the prize
I want to love a person not by my own ideal intellect. I want to love a person for who he is and how he is. I hope to love a person who can also love me for who I am. Who will help me grow as a person and as I am to him. I hope to love a man God that you have given me and not because I just want him. I raise my glass for you God and you before him. I hope to see joy and grace when I see this person God. Allow me to know him more in the appointed time you have with me. This is my prayer for my future lover God and I rejoice while I wait to be the woman that you want me to be when you allow the Holy Spirit to lead us in one another. Through grace by faith. True hope and fate. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Love,
Jam

I dont want to be someone who says "I want to be closer to God" and doesn't try.
I want to grow. I want to seek him. I want to work for God and know him. I want to do what I say. I dont want it to be just words.

If you see in the Bible, God rejected three people's prayer for certain reasons.
First when we see the life of David, he was a man after God's own heart. But he slipped and fell in to sin. He not only comitted adultery but also became the reason for Uriah's death. When God sent Nathan the prophet to warn him of his sin, David realized his mistake and fasted for days. Although God forgave him, he still took the life of the firstborn of Bathsheba and David. God did not hear his prayers. So, if you pray with a sinful heart God will not answer your prayers. You have to face the consequences of your sin.
Secondly when Jeremiah the prophet prayed for the people of Judah ( Jer 7), God said to him, " I will not listen to your prayers". The reason was thier sins. Imagine you are praying as a family or community for a growth or blessings and God has not answered your prayers, then unite together and repent your sins. Even one person's sin can become a barrier to blessings for the entire community or family.
Thirdly God did not hear Moses's prayer. (Duet 3:23-27) Although Moses begged God to let him inside Canaan God did not answer him. This was because of his disobedience. When God asked him to speak to the rock he hit the rock out of anger. Because of this disobedience he lost his blessings.
Even though our sins may be small it can become a barrier for God to answer our prayers. From now on make sure you pray with a clear conscience and open your prayers with repentance. Try to avoid doing things that do not please God. Surely he will answer you.

I cant do this
I can't pretend that You are only calling parts of me when the truth is that You are calling all of me.
I can't pretend like I'm fine with living for myself when my heart is dying to live for You.
I can't do that anymore, I can't live without giving every part of my mind, body and soul to You.
I can't live selfishly while knowing You died for me.
I can't live for You, not in the way Your Son did.
I can't live sin free, but I can live free of the debt of it.
I can't live for You unless You are living in me.
I can't run this race on my own, I need You to lead me through.
I can't wrap my head around the fact that Love knows no end. My mind is minuscule so I can't comprehend everything You are and all You do, help me be okay with it, to remember that one day it'll all make sense.
Thank You for saving me, the one who was lost trying to find a way through a confusing and messy world.
Your grace and mercy is the most beautiful thing I'll ever know, thank You for showing me that I can't do this without You.

Walking in the Spirit, not in the flesh.
Before the Bible mentions the fruit of the Spirit, it tells us things that God does NOT want us to do. Before I jump into each of the fruit of the Spirit, and focusing on one each week, I felt it was important to teach God’s Word on things that are contrary to the Spirit, the things of the flesh. Notice the dead tree in the image, because you cannot produce fruit if you are lost in these sinful natures and do not know Jesus. There are 17 works of the flesh mentioned, and these are things that should not be associated with God’s people. We ladies must be so careful that we don’t fall into these sins! I’ll list the definitions of each sin, since I am following the KJV and NKJV for this study, in case there is confusion.
1. Adultery- “voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and someone other than that person’s current spouse...” Cheating on your husband, OR being in a relationship with a man married to another woman.
2. Fornication- “consensual sexual intercourse between two persons not married to each other.” Basically, two UNMARRIED people, having sex out of wedlock.
*The newer versions of the Bible combine those two sins above into “sexual immorality” and I don’t care for that, since I have heard of people saying fornication is never mentioned specifically in the Bible. Of course those people are looking for a loophole to not feel guilty about their sin, but if they would pick up a KJV, or NKJV it’s listed right there.*
3. Uncleanness- “dirty, filthy; morally or spiritually impure.”
4. Lasciviousness (lewdness)- “lewd, lustful.” Lewd-“a : sexually unchaste or licentious lewd behavior b : obscene, vulgar.” Basically, lacking sexual restraint, dressing obscenely to draw sexual attention, making inappropriate comments to others. It makes you look trashy ladies, not classy.
5.Idolatry- “1 : the worship of a physical object as a god; 2 : immoderate attachment or devotion to something.” Placing importance of ANYTHING more than God.
6. Witchcraft- This is self explanatory. Don’t do it. Don’t take part in ANY religious practices that aren’t Christianity. It’s paganism.
7. Hatred- This is pretty self explanatory as well. We are not supposed to hate anything or anyone. I also don’t think there’s an accurate definition of hatred. Disliking things or people is okay, but hatred is meant by God as something more than a mere dislike.
8. Variance (contentions)- “the fact, quality, or state of being variable”, “a point advanced or maintained in a debate or argument”
9. Emulations (jealousies)- “a jealous disposition.” Jealous is defined as: “hostile toward a rival or one believed to enjoy an advantage.”
10. Wrath (outbursts of wrath)- Pretty simple, just don’t lose your temper and be out of control with anger.
11.  Strife (selfish ambition)- “bitter sometimes violent conflict or dissension.” Since the NKJV uses the terms “selfish ambition”, I’m going to lean toward strife here meaning , fighting and clawing to get your way.
12. Seditions (Dissensions)- “incitement of resistance to or insurrection against lawful authority”. Dissension is defined as: “Disagreement”. Be in agreement with the Word of God, and with your authority figures. God is your first authority figure, and then guess who God named as your earthly authority? Your husband. : )
13. Heresies- “adherence to a religious opinion contrary to church dogma”. Believe only to what the Holy Bible says, and what Jesus teaches in it.
14. Envyings- Envy is defined as, “painful or resentful awareness of an advantage enjoyed by another joined with a desire to possess the same advantage” I would say this goes a little farther than jealousy, mentioned before.
15. Murders- Murder is defined as, “the crime of unlawfully killing a person especially with malice”. This goes right back to “Thou shalt not kill.”
16. Drunkenness- Don’t drink to the point that you become drunk.
17. Revellings, and such like- The ESV calls this orgies. That’s a big sexual sin. The Merriam Webster dictionary defines revel as, “to take intense pleasure or satisfaction”.
Meditate on God’s Word and these things will make sense to you and in your life. I understand some of these sins are things that we don’t do, but understand, some of them are things we do find ourselves doing. Don’t pass them off as normal. Kick them out of your life, (with God in your corner, you can!) and then you will be ready to produce fruit for God. :) The first fruit of the Spirit we will study and work on is going to be love. See you Monday!
