your reminder that not everyone who comes into your life will stay.
some are only meant to enter your life briefly to teach you something about either yourself or your past. for example God will sometimes bring people into your life that will remind you of your past and the kind of person you used to be in order to remind you of how far you’ve come under His guidance and for you to be able to share the Gospel with them. almost like you going back in time to teach your past self the good news of Jesus.
it can be hard to understand this especially when dealing with loss and heartbreak. but God’s plan is far far greater than ours and we could not begin to understand what amazing blessings are coming. so stay strong.
God-bless!

do you think if Jesus saw the jokes we make about him or the bible (like people impersonating Jesus and act silly. you know those vids), he would go "haha, that's very funny"? Do you think God has a sense of humour and would get a chuckle over them?

Jesus Has a Sense of Humor, Bro—Here's Proof
Tumblr media
You ever read the Bible and go, “Wait… that’s actually hilarious”? Because same. People act like Jesus is this super serious, always-frowning figure, but if you actually read what He said and did, you'd realize He’s got jokes. Not disrespectful ones—just the kind of humor that makes you go, oh snap, He really said that.
1. The Fig Tree Incident (Mark 11:12-14, 20-21)
Jesus walks up to a fig tree, expecting fruit. The tree has none. Instead of shrugging it off like a normal person, He straight-up curses the tree and it withers overnight. Like, imagine pulling up to a McDonald's, they say the ice cream machine is broken, and you just—boom, McDonald’s is no more.
Lesson learned? Don’t be fruitless around Jesus.
2. The Woman at the Well (John 4:16-18)
Jesus meets a Samaritan woman and, out of nowhere, says: “Go, call your husband.” She’s like, Uh… I don’t have one. And Jesus just casually responds, “You’re right, because you’ve had five husbands, and the guy you’re with now? Not even your husband.”
HELLO?? He just called her out with divine-level accuracy but in the most nonchalant way possible. No “judgment,” no yelling, just pure I-know-everything-about-you energy. That’s like someone saying, “I don’t even have a Netflix account,” and Jesus replying, “Yeah, because you’re using your ex’s login.”
3. The Speck vs. the Plank (Matthew 7:3-5)
Jesus: “Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye but don’t notice the plank in your own eye?” Translation: “You’re out here calling people out for their problems when you got an entire wooden beam lodged in your face.”
That’s not just a metaphor—that’s satirical. Imagine someone with a giant log sticking out of their eye going, “Hey man, you got something in your eye.” Jesus INVENTED roast comedy.
4. Camel Through the Eye of a Needle (Matthew 19:24)
Jesus: “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” You ever see a camel? They’re huge. You ever see the eye of a needle? It’s tiny.
That’s an impossible, over-the-top visual. It’s like saying, “You have a better chance of squeezing an elephant into skinny jeans than getting in like this.” He meant it, but He also said it in a way that would make people remember—and probably laugh.
5. The Disciples' Constant Cluelessness (Too Many Verses to Count)
Jesus, explaining things clearly: “Beware the yeast of the Pharisees.” Disciples: “Oh no, we forgot to bring bread.” Jesus: “…Bro, I just fed 5,000 people with like five loaves, and you think I’m worried about bread??” (Matthew 16:6-11, paraphrased)
Disciples were basically the kids who don’t get the joke and Jesus had to be like, Guys. Come on. Think.
So, Would Jesus Laugh at Our Jokes?
Honestly? If it’s not mocking, if it’s just lighthearted fun, I think He’d absolutely laugh. God literally created humor—there are verses that encourage joy and laughter:
Proverbs 17:22 – A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. (See? God wants you to laugh.)
Ecclesiastes 3:4 – A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance. (Laughter is literally ordained.)
Psalm 126:2 – Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy.
So next time you see a Jesus meme or a silly impersonation that’s made in good fun, just remember—the Bible itself proves that Jesus had a sense of humor.
And honestly? Some of y’all would get roasted harder by Him than by your best friend.

You told God that you needed a sign, and He made sure this came across your screen.
God has removed you from a table where you used to sit in order to save you from a host who was serving you poison. Let that sink in.
Continue to pray. Continue to trust. Continue to wait. Continue to heal.
Our Lord isolates you before he elevates you. It may seem like everything around you is falling apart, but He has more in store for you than you could ever imagine.
You’re asking for a rose when our Heavenly Father wants the whole garden to be yours.
As Matthew 19:26 says - “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”
Therefore stop holding back, stop holding on so tightly onto the familiar pain buried inside your heart. Let the Lord clean your heart and your mind out in the image of his son in Christ, according to his will.
It may not make a lot of sense right now but if you just finally let go of what you have in mind, God can give you something better.
Many of us cling onto things beyond our control, internalizing them and causing ourselves stress, anxiety, depression…
Free yourself from these burdens by pouring out your heart to the Lord. Take a moment to be honest with yourself, acknowledge what troubles you, and then trust God enough to let Him take over. As you wait for God's help, remember He might be waiting for you to reach out to Him.
May God bless you all, in Jesus’s name ; Amen
🤍

Give it to God and Go to Sleep
Tumblr media
After many nights of terrible sleep with a million and one nightmares (a slight exaggeration), I was exhausted in church and absolutely desperate for a solution to my sleeping problems.
I confided in one of my friends. I told her I was struggling with bad dreams and restless nights, and she shared a few important Bible verses that she repeats before she goes to sleep:
“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” - Psalm 4:8
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God ; believe also in me.” - John 14:1
‭‭ “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” - Hebrews 4:16
‭‭ “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 4:6-7
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” - Colossians 3:15
‭‭ “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” - Isaiah 26:3
I’ve made it a habit of mine to repeat them myself when I lay down in bed, and I’ve found the bad dreams are becoming less frequent and I’m finally getting some rest.
To put it quite simply, I’ve learned the importance of giving it to God and going to sleep. Whatever is troubling me, I trust Him to help me through. He hasn’t led me wrong before, and He never will. Whether my worries are the size of an acorn, or the size of a great oak tree, I trust my problems to Him and He will help me through them whilst I’m too weary to manage myself.
