One of the sillier things about fandoms of roleplay (MCD, DSMP, QSMP, etc) is like . People will theorize about things that are completely canon because they missed the livestream that canonized it. And YOU saw it because you’ve been here the whole time. But they never saw it and probably won’t watch it. So they just think it’s a theory. the highlights for me were the catnapping (love this scene), viktor’s mentorship with jinx (my two faves😭🩷), the sisters’ reunion, ximena (omg i love her so much, i want to be her child and get smothered by her love), and ofc, the apology scene😭🩷🩷🩷

HOLY MOLY THIS IS SO SWEET AND THOUGHTFUL!!!! I LOVE QUESTIONS!! I'm going to take some time to answer this one so here. Also, I do get into the current chapter a little (no spoilers, obviously, but maybe some lil hints/teasers, so I hope that's cool)

thank you so much for your thoughts on my viktor and jayce! I've worked so hard on trying to make them just the right amount of difficult and flawed so I love it when people see that and says it hits <3

the catnapping scene was so fun to write - and I adore jinx - so I'm glad those two things also hit fo you <3

i first watched arcane when it came out in 2021 because I saw gifs of it on tumblr and was so thrown by how beautiful the animation was. (I wont lie, controversially, I almost gave up on it because the music was so..... choice to me). i loved jayvik at the time. i was really hoping caitvi was going to hit harder (another reason I got into it is I heard lesbians) but I didn't really connect with the enforcer elements of caitlyn's story (I love her but yeah I found it all a bit questionable and I'm very very sick of lesbian cops in media)

i was obsessed. but not 'its time to engage with the fandom' obsessed. for some reason the first season just didn't hit as hard then as it did on my re-watch.

fast forward to 2024 and sorry this is so personal - but I'm between hyperfixations and am very depressed (lethal combo DKSLFJHSD) and it was the perfect storm for me to get re-immersed in arcane after I saw the first trailer on my twitter feed.

jayvik itself hits a lot of buttons for me I just adore. they're both genuinely kind characters who are flawed but want to do good. they have a natural chemistry and I just love stories about people who hold certain gifts that may be isolating and then they find each other and it means that they become the only people who can really understand each other?

I'm also OBSESSED with scientist characters. something about the beauty of discovery. the passion. the way its so easy to create something with good intentions that winds up causing harm. i have close family in stem and did a lot of stem stuff in undergrad and idk. i just really love scientists. my ideal woman is some hot woman in stem DKFLJSHf.

viktor being disabled (which i also am) also added a layer to this for sure. and just. the immediate stakes of saving someone's life. connecting over a dream - that Jayce is just so graciously and immediately willing to share after like. a few hours alone together lmao. it all feels so intense and loving.

2. troublesome scenes to write

so many dfkljh.

the flashback in chapter 3 came kind of out of nowhere for me. i did not expect it to get so emotionally charged- and to feel so much when I was writing it. i left this note in chapter four - but I was sitting on the chapter for days and afraid to publish because I was so surprised by it. it wasn't so much troublesome to write as it was troublesome to edit/reflect on. i got really in my head. i was like this is fanfiction about league of legends characters. why did I write this? DLKFJSHD.

the flashback of their big fight in chapter 5

this one, I'm so glad I wrote this before getting eyes because I fear I would have been very tempted to sanitize it and make it less mean. even now I've gotten a few comments being like. :( jayce would never do that :(

in my opinion... he would lol and I stand by it. everybody is capable of being really ugly and horrible when pushed into the right corner/circumstances. and jayce very much did manufacture weapons on the show despite viktor's wishes - so its something I was really wanting to explore in a modern context.

its just something i had to think a lot about. how far did I want it to go? how could I make it get really nasty while keeping some sort of empathy alive for both sides, especially jayce. how to I make sure viktor doesn't become this innocent victim in it all? how do I make sure that mel, despite being a catalyst, isn't portrayed as like a villain who ruined everything and instead as someone with her own unique motivations and concerns that happened to deliver crucial information? i hope I did all of it well. I'm personally as happy with the scene as I'll get with anything.

out of all the scenes I wrote, this is the one that gets the most pushback, specifically relating to jayce. i knew that would happen going into it, because I think the fandom has an over-romanticized view of jayce's arc and actions in season 1. but oddly I'm almost happy with that? I'm glad that it challenges people. one of the things I find most compelling and beautiful about jayce is redemption. and redemption can't happen unless you do something that requires it - so I hate that people ignore how much fucked up shit he does in season 1 lmao.

mel and viktor's slay-off on the balcony

the end of chapter 11 where mel and viktor talk I just knew was going to be incredibly important. it was one of those moments I was leading up to the whole time, because I knew it would be very relevant in future chapters (wink wink) and because its such a culmination of everything that's happened so far.

on my first write of it, i think because I was afraid of it, I focused way more on the logistics of what was happening with noxus and the board etc etc. it took me a while to find a balance between plot and emotion I was comfortable with.

for some reason the entire time i knew they were going to wind up laughing together. that was very emotionally important to me. but getting there was uhh... hard. again. I'm not saying I did this (or the above scenes) perfectly like good god. but yeah this one was a hard journey.

very important/high-stakes scene in chapter 13

there is a very big scene that I've had planned the whole time that, after season 2, I found important to take in a slightly darker and more dramatic direction. a lot of reasons I was torn on this - 1 - allowing season 2 to influence my writing is something I'm hesitant about. but also this is FANFIC so I decided that's kind of the point.

but its very much been a very delicate balance of a few things - 1. how do I not get preachy and let my anger at the particular storyline in season 2 affect how I write this? 2. this deals with jayce and viktor being witnesses to other characters struggles vs being at the center of it themselves? so I have to deal with how much they can actually be present. (this was also a struggle I had when Vi and Jinx reunited) how much they would logically witness before it feels like they're only present so I can continue telling the story. 3. because its such a dramatic scene, how do I make the dialogue feel real? how do I not let a particular character speak their feelings too much while also giving people a good window into their psyche? 4. how high the stakes should be. (this I will elaborate on once its out)

i am incredibly nervous for this scene. more so than anything else I've written in this fic. I'm still working on my first draft of the chapter and am going to spend so so much time in the next drafts on it. it's going to be really hard to land this one - and I really wanna do it right.

the final scene :)

i still dont have my final scene. i know where its happening, what thematically I want of it, how we get there, and I know I'm writing it today.

there was a moment where I almost went in a direction I think people would like- but have decided against ultimately. it felt too... cliche and a bit unearned.

additionally, with characters like viktor, who really struggle with saying what's on their mind, I have to play a very careful game of giving him bits of dialogue that land and feel like growth, without feeling unearned or unnatural.

3. which dynamics were you excited to write and explore in cmbnty?

aside from the obvious, jinx and viktor (honestly after season 2, i wish i explored jayce and ekko more), mel and viktor, cait and jayce.

4. were there scenes that you wanted to incorporate, but didn’t end up adding?

there's nothing huge that jumps out at me. honestly, I think there are probably some things I could have condensed more looking at the word count. i think the only thing is I had an idea for a flashback last chapter that dealt with jayce in the aftermath of viktor leaving, but I couldn't find a way to make it relevant, and it ultimately felt very overindulgent and melodramatic in the outline in a way I really didn't fuck with.

and lastly, other than arcane and jayvik, what are some of your interests?

:) i'm really into film. i'm a bit of a film bro lmao. i like video games (huge bg3 fan). true to my ao3 name i love cats and animals in general. I'm fascinated with outer space, physics, astrobiology. I'm also a huge history nerd, especially "weird" and unheard of history.

my whole life is writing really. in a way that's probably not super healthy lmao but it is what it is.

my thoughts: I actually love that you sent this, because it never even crossed my mind that they were anything more than names on each other’s radar, but of course they were friends! How did I miss this?! Hagrid didn’t just pick up a random fucking motorbike, he got it from Sirius, and okay, yes, Sirius had an intimate (heh) connection to James and Lily, so of course it makes sense he’d be involved, but Hagrid had to have known he had the motorbike, so. Yeah. Okay. I’m buying it. Hagrid’s hyperfixation with dangerous creatures and Sirius’ hyperfixation with dangerous Muggle modes of transport, yes, bff material for sure.

What makes me happy about them: OKAY BUT LIKE WHAT IF. Hagrid befriended Sirius the way he did Harry, like, Sirius got sorted Gryffindor when his whole family expected Slytherin, so until he got close to James and the others, he might’ve felt very alone, and maybe Hagrid was the one who was like hey, hey it’s ok buddy, don’t worry, you’ll make friends soon! Hey wanna see a unicorn give birth? Sure ya do, come on, into the forest with ye, have some shitty rock cakes too, there’s a lad. etc.

What makes me sad about them: Well we know how emotional Hagrid is so just fucking IMAGINE what he was feeling when James and Lily died and Sirius got carted to Azkaban, Jesus CHRIST he saw these babies grow up ffs.

things I look for in fanfic: I shan’t be seeking any ship fic, but I’d like to see more of their friendship, and it probably exists aplenty, I just haven’t delved that hard into the Maruarders side of fandom yet. Oh oh! Oh! What if like. Hagrid let Sirius keep his motorbike in Hagrid’s hut/garden/invisible shed/whatever when Sirius first started working on it bc it was all contraband and shit, so where else would he have kept it? Awwwwwww.

Please do not ask me to choose a favorite song once the wisdom saga comes out, because then it will be literally impossible for me to choose. Every single song in this musical is so freaking good and all of these had very close seconds that were almost put instead.

Troy Saga:

Open Arms. I just love Polites so much, and this song is just so fun and bubbly, plus all the callbacks to it later on are just mwah *chef’s kiss*

Cyclops Saga:

My Goodbye. I freaking love Athena and here is where we really start to see Odysseus start to have some bad luck and it’s a great end to a very dramatic saga.

Ocean Saga:

Ruthlessness. It’s just aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh. I cannot express how much I love this song, and Steven Rodriguez has such an amazing voice and does such a phenomenal job as Poseidon, I cannot wait to hear the full version of Get In the Water!

Circe Saga:

Done For. It gets stuck in my head all the time, and this might have swayed it a little but I absolutely love the fight scene between Odysseus and Circe. There Are Other Ways and Wouldn’t You Like are both really close, but Done For wins.

Underworld Saga:

I FREAKING LOVE THIS SAGA OH MY GODS

Sorry, this saga is just so amazing

It’s so hard for me to choose, I love all of these songs so much, but it’s probably Monster. I’ve loved Monster since the first small clip I heard of it. I fell in love with this song because I just love seeing Odysseus slowly falling into his darker side and I think it’s the perfect ending to Act 1.

Thunder Saga:

Day 1: Heterochromia I’ve come to the revaluation that my sona is already cringe as hell considering not only can his entire body change color but he also has differently colored eyes as a staple of his design. They’re usually yellow and blue but this time I color picked the blue from the trans flag and the mint from the Vincian flag for this color palette, it turned out really pretty :)

Day 2: Self Insert Now she isn’t my self insert anymore, but back in the day when I was at “peak cringe” she definitely was. This is my warriors OC Icypelt and I have a post going over part of her story on my profile somewhere. She’s been through a lot and I think her modern design is very pretty :)

Day 3: Unnecessarily complex fit/design Spider scene is kinda infamous in my brain for having wayyy too much detail but I love them and I think this might be my favorite one out of this batch, super cute, the pose is really cute and the colors are nice and fits her really well :D

day 13: creepypasta does this count- whatever grimdark is just the same thing as a creepypasta- I’m not really in the MLP fandom anymore but it was my first ever “fandom” I was actually apart of. My first hyperfixation if you will. I wasn’t in the grimdark part of the fandom because I was too young for it but I was actually watching the izzzyzzz grimdark video and I was like “oh” and drew a rainbow factory Rainbowdash. Bless you for compiling what’s going on with that ex-bird app. It’s been genuinely insightful for me to understand the thoughts of the kinds of people behind those accounts.

That person trying to cancel creators for associating with Forever (and probably advocating for his lore to be excised from the server) saying “but I can’t possibly give up guapoduo, it’s My Hyperfixation” is very telling. Hypocrisy specifically in the context of “separating the art from the artist” isn’t something I’ve seen before, shockingly, so I guess I get to add that to my Social Media Discourse Bingo. (I had an online friend in 2016 who I was terrified to talk about my interests with because I didn’t know what angry punk teenagers on tumblr had deemed “evil and disgusting”, and even SHE stopped listening to some of her favorite metal bands when she learned they were homophobic, and had absolute turmoil when she learned that David Bowie might have allegedly slept with an underage groupie in the 70s. Her constant, unpredictable rage at seemingly random pieces of media was awful for my mental health, but at least she wasn’t a genuine hypocrite.)

Also that tone of “I’ve had good memories here… but I just can’t handle it anymore.” It sounds like someone whose meaningful but soul-crushing work has finally broken them, almost sounding like someone I knew at the frontline worker job I had mid-pandemic who missed her own birthday three years in a row, got repetitive stress injuries, and then got passed over for a promotion that was given to someone who did a fraction of the work. But the “God willing, I’ll never come back” was followed by “I’m 13” …damn, I got whiplash so hard that I astral projected into a universe where things made sense for a second. Because of course kids don’t have a complex view of other countries’ political systems or cultural pressures. Or the nuances of personal change and redemption. Or that sometimes people are just not online for a few days. And of course a 13-year-old doesn’t understand how dumb and petty they look by trying to ruin other peoples’ careers in the name of Activism (tm) while having a fandom portmanteau username.

“I didn’t want it to come to this but… I’m going to delete twitter!” I hope so, but more for their own sake, honestly. I actually have less anger towards most of them now. Many are kids with a false sense of grandiosity that makes them believe they are the ultimate moral authority, but have very little understanding of how messy people or societies can be. I just hope they can learn one day, and look back on who they are now and cringe. (And then many years after that, have the grace to forgive themselves.)

I’m still not over the whole situation with Forever. I miss his energy, and his accent, and his silly bits with Richas that always dragged on too long, and N.I.N.H.O. (and everything it represented), and how different he and Cellbit are but how they understood each other WAY too well, and how he tried to make people who didn’t log onto the server as often still feel welcome and wanted, and how happy he got when anyone non-Brazilian even tried to speak a little bit of Portuguese. (I was learning, but I’ve barely touched it since.) I won’t lie, it’s affected me far more than I thought it would.

I miss Forever. Thank you for your blog being a little space where that’s okay.

I'm honestly a little worried for the kid (s), not in a "oh I just want the best for" fake bs way just a little concerned tbh. I still don't like them but I don't hate them either, they're a kid.

But at the same time I'm worried for their well being, they have like 5,000 follower on their main Twitter and 28 on curious cat (which is apprantly high for that app )

That's 5000 people (teens or not) waiting for you to tell them how to feel that can't be good for their mental state, not for a 13 yr old kid.

Most of their life was spent learning about the world and their still learning, these are the ages where you're worried about the sun blowing up.

You haven't seen how awful the world can be yet, You haven't seen how much worst it could get you haven't learned calculus yet!

To you the world is only these 13 years and you think if you don't act now everything will be over.

I get it, I had that fear too, most people grown into it and realize just how shitty it can get an settle in choosing their own battles and not letting It consume them, because no one had time for that anymore.

You want to experience the most out of live while you can and the older you get the easier it is to balance.

To me it looks like one of those situation where you'll look back and think "I wish I enojyed my childhood."

Because 5000 people waiting for you to tell them who to bash, 28 people prasing your while admitting they use to hate you.

It can't be good. And if they were to read this they'd probably say "oh you don't actually care you just want to shit on me."

And like, yeah I don't care, but am I saying all this because I want to shit on them? no I'm just pointing out concerns.

And— just between us, once upon a time, some of these maaaaay have been intended to join my roster of characters, but fell through due to me not having enough time / energy to focus on them, their character & story / the fandom puttering out / roleplayers who I feel have done so much Justice to the characters that I honestly don’t think I could take them up and do more than they did!

Let’s get into the meat and potato’s though!

The Huntress / Анна : I LOVE HER SO MUCH, oh my god, call me basic but she and Sally were my first loves when I picked up DBD, and eventually I got to a point where I was humming along with her! She’s fun to play as and super fun to verse! Like, the euphoria when you dodge a hatchet? UNMATCHED. Almost as good as when you spin a Nurse for days and she can’t catch up! As for her character from a story perspective, she’s so fun. I’ve never agreed with the idea that she is secretly infantile in her mind. Naive? sure, inexperienced and unsocialized? Without a doubt. But she has analytical mind. Very intelligent, very observant, very capable. If Анна wants it, she’ll get it, she’ll find a way. Her tome only confirmed this hunch for me, and goooood. I do genuinely feel like her biggest thing— her flaw, the thing that pushes her to murderousness, it’s the fact she doesn’t understand people. She may as well be a wholly inhuman entity at this point because she neither relates and sees them as like her. They’re just another beast in the forest, like the deer and raccoons. There is no empathy because, again, they aren’t her. They aren’t her mother. They aren’t little girls like she used to be. They’re animals. But I digress! I just adore her and I live in regret that I never added that girl boss to my roster! She just came in the middle of my Sally hyperfixation and she can’t fight for my love, I’m afraid!

Vera Oberlin : I have… a very mixed relationship with Vera, though largely this is due to the way Monster Prom is written as a whole! I love her! She’s a girl boss in the literal definition of the word! Gaslight and Gatekeep may as well be her middle names. But at the same time, her shared backstory and the desire for money and material stemming from scarcity in her childhood. I get that to a painful degree and it sucks. Like not as in the badly written sucks but the ‘genuinely triggering for me,’ sucks because, minus the cold exterior, she is really, really like me and it makes wanting to play her difficult. It feels unapproachable and sometimes impossible because she’s too hard to separate that from myself. Now combine that with a REALLY REALLY GOOD Vera roleplayer being in the already tiny roleplaying scene and it’s like, it would never be in my cards to pick her up. She’s still cool though!

SCP-1867 : SNAIL SNAIL SNAIL KING, SNAIL. I love him!!! He was on a list of ‘SCPs it might be fun to introduce to the other characters,’ back when Bruce and Fred and Haunt everyone were still active and around. But, we know how that ended, and it just felt like… I don’t know, sad to try and entertain adding him cause it wouldn’t be the same! I know you’d love interacting with him and same with Ophelia but I can’t ignore that empty void where the others left. I’m waaaaaay too sentimental but I don’t know! Maybe when the fandom kicks up again!

So what was the last non-sexual thing that caught your hyperfixation? What’s your current interest?

This answers both lmfao.

The band Waterparks, started in the middle of last year very slight with 1-2 songs that hit for me at the time and reminded me of how I was feeling during that period but then evolved as soon as dec - January where it really blossomed started out as curiosity and I have since run down the rabbit hole. *awsten knight’s* ^aka the singer of Waterparks I’ve been collecting his own clothing brand they drop a piece every week and they’re limited to 300 each drop they get sold in literal mere seconds I WISH I WAS JOKING. Its a bloodbath but thanks to this one account on Twitter I follow I’m able to get some pieces ahead of the drop because she guesses passwords which is her thing which helps a shit ton. But sometimes you HAVE to fight for your life if you want that piece. Thank god for PayPal pay immediately lmao but sometimes even that is too slow. People are quick as fuck. But it’s fun. and I’ve managed to get a few not all of this season’s drop. But still little wins! I’m so excited to receive this one tee I bought over the weekend it’s going to be here on the 20th! I’ll have to show it off as soon as it comes! You’ll have to remind me. I’ve got so many *3* good investment because they’re kinda limited as well. vinyls of the same damn album (intellectual property) because awsten said to lmfao and they’re diff colors. I also have a bitten CD by the band for one of the singles off the album and I have another cd of intellectual property with 2 bonus songs on it. recently not too long ago collected the “greatest hits vinyl it glows in the dark* and “fandom” I’m hoping to collect “entertainment” on vinyl but they’re all so expensive on eBay a little bit but I want a unique color so bad and they’re so hard to find kinda and then get the cluster CD. I need to get a CD player now that I think about it... Collecting merch as of recent this girl from texas managed to get me a t shirt and some booty shorts I’m so excited about wearing because I wasn’t able to get them when I went for the show. It was packed as fuck (I also met them a few weeks ago DIDNT go as planned like at all but still was a good time) :,) but I also have grown a major crush on the singer but that’s aside from the fact lol.

Other than that I’ve also been tryna get certain clothing items I think are so sick that awsten wears that I think would look better on me so that’s what I’ve gotten recently is some nike air trainer 1 sp’s c: and I fucking love them. I got some that fit but now I’m tryna sell like two pairs I impulse bought that I thought would fit me that don’t 😭 curse men’s sizes for not fitting women’s feet like the size chart claims. But it’s all good. That’s all as of recent. Besides finding new music (I’m adding to my Spotify playlists that I absolutely hate making but enjoy it in a way) and trying to clear my head - taking a step back and thinking things through and figuring out what I want and what’s best for me personally without anyone else’s judgment clouding my decisions. Im wanting better relationships for myself. Setting healthy boundaries and realizing my worth is all. Not being easily accessible anymore. :)

Well honestly I got drawn in from the villain of the movie: Hades (that’s literally how I get drawn into basically all my fandoms lmao I have an f/o in it and now I’m obsessed lol). But I love the twist they did for the Greek lore of Disney’s Hercules! It’s really interesting and I think Greek mythology is really cool and interesting too! I’m not a huge Greek mythology buff, but the movie as well as the series (and some anons on my Disney blog lmao) have taught me a lot of neat Greek mythology stories and fun facts!

Lol well I have 3 favorite songs from the movie: The Gospel Truth II (because it’s pretty much Hades’ villain song since he doesn’t sing in the movie lmao), Zero to Hero (a bop and the video that made me fall in love with Hades/made me obsessed with the movie and series lol), and I Won’t Say I’m in Love (a certified banger)

💕 tell us about one of your favorite characters and why you like them!

…HADES 💙❤️‍🔥 he’s just this weird mix of ugly and handsome and I love that lmao, that seems to be my type lol. Also I just love that he’s different from other classic Disney villains and from what you’d expect him to be like. He’s not some dark and menacing villain that’s all serious and out for revenge, he’s this super laid back, sleazy, fast talking, schmoozing used car salesman of a god lmao. I also love that he has a secret soft side! It’s very rare to see in the show and even the movie (if you squint lol), but it’s nice and it shows that he really isn’t as cruel and heartless as he seems. ❤️

💔 tell us about one of your LEAST favorite characters and why you dislike them.

Oh jeez, that’s a hard one lol. Honestly, I love all the characters in the movie and the series spin off, so there aren’t a lot that I don’t like. I’d say maybe Zeus? I wish he were more considerate of his brother’s feelings and weren’t so naive about the fact that he’s unhappy with his role as a god and that the other gods don’t like him and don’t treat him with the same respect he gets (probably because Hades has done shady stuff in the past but still lol).

Heck yeah I do!!! I headcanon Hades as pansexual just because he seems like the type to be into anybody lol, I also headcanon both Hercules and Meg as bisexual because they both give me strong bi couple vibes lmaooo

💢 what do you NOT like about your hyperfixation? is there something you would want to change about it?

The movie? Well, I’d certainly give Hades his beautiful little flowery spring goddess wife. He deserves it, this dude has been through so much with his crazy father and his stuck up brothers lmao. But other than that the movie was flawless! As for the series….I’d change the entire plot. It’s supposed to take place before the movie like a prequel series (like the Little Mermaid animated series), but the thing is: THE ENTIRE SHOW ISN’T CANON TO THE MOVIE. Idk why but it bugs me so much lmao. Like don’t get me wrong I LOVE the show, but it’s pretty much an AU. Like Hades is the main villain of the series and Hercules is supposed to be in highschool training to be a hero (pretty much the series is supposed to take place during the whole One Last Hope montage), but Hades doesn’t even realize Hercules is still alive until Meg runs into him in the forest when he’s 18. Herc is like 16 in the show and constantly runs into Hades and the other gods. Tbh I don’t think Hercules even realized who his parents were until he was like 17 because I figured he had graduated by then and went to travel and find his “true self” and all that. But yeah, anyways lol sorry I always end up ranting about the canon divergence of the show 😂

Ok let’s go I’m ready to ramble about literally all of these 3,2,1 go

1; Funny story actually. I had left the fnaf fandom a little bit before Help Wanted came out and had been long since burnt out on fnaf after hyperfixating on it since fnaf 4s trailer dropped. So I had little to no idea wtf was happening at the time and one of the YouTubers I watched posted an animation of the Freddy beatboxing meme with GR Fred and Sun screaming at the end (Seeks Animation And Stuff if you were wondering). Had zero clue who they were at the time and kind of just brushed it off with only mild curiosity on who this weird sun faced dude was, forgot about it soon after. THEN more SB gameplay gets recommended to me on YouTube and I’m faced with the reality of “wait that guy was in the game???” Leading me to start getting into it all, find out more about security breach, Moonman enters my life, hyperfixation quickly ensues and now I’m here!

2: Kellen Goffs voice performance, was also a hardcore Funtime Freddy fan back in 2016 so needless to say he hooked me pretty easily.

6: Gosh, when it comes to this fandom it’s genuinely hard to pick. It’s a HARD tie between horror and romance. DCA writers have a knack for writing the most out-there crackships into a masterpiece and, as a multi shipper, I end up consuming a lot of those fics very frequently. But also my initial love for Moon in particular was how well he contrasted Sun and their attempts at friendliness, so to get some horror content based on his actions, ESPECIALLY from Sunny’s perspective, never fails to disappoint.

7: Oh without a doubt ‘Like Clockwork’ by Gallexy Cat. It is such a good read and one of the only Y/n fics I’ve ever been able to get invested in (No offense to all the writers in this fandom who do x Reader and the like ofc y’all are great) I definitely recommend it to anyone reading this!

9: They are so fucking ugly in the best way possible. It’s such a nice contrast between the decals and the actual models, the posters set up such expectations and I feel like all the inconsistencies between the two versions perfectly encapsulates how Fazbear treats its robots. Sun & Moon are so unkept and nasty they SCREAM neglect more then anything else and it makes me want to vomit and then give them a little pat on the head and make them my scroingly doinglys. And I think it’s that uglyness that allows such creativity and freedom in redesigns and interpretations from the fandom! If they looked more appealing in game, we wouldn’t be as inclined to completely rework them from the ground up like we do now. Aka, absolutely hideous, disgusting, god awful and uncanny /pos

10: Mainly autism, but also because they’re insanely fun to draw and are personally intertwined with my artstyle in a way that leads me to always come back to them when I drop out of a hyperfixation/fandom. They’re like those old worn out toys that you always say you’re going to sell or give away or put in storage but every time you open up the moving box and see them at the top of all your stuff you just feel the need to snuggle with them and play with them for what you always say will be the final time, if that makes any sense.

11: Hooooboy, character design wise? Moon, 1000% Moon. But as a *character* I’d have to go with Sun, since I don’t think that Moon is much of a character without Sun in tow when boiled down. As much as I love my unhinged nightlight spider I’ll be picking Sunny on this one, way more writing potential and stuff to experiment with even without their counterpart and…. In game predicament.

12: They are…. Not what I expected to say the least. Not in a bad way though! As I imagine most of the fandom does, I have a lot of thoughts about them. They make no sense and they logically shouldn’t exist in the ways they do but at the same time they’re my father now and there’s nothing you can do to pry them away from me. So many ways to interpret them, so many questions, so much angst potential- are they a Steven universe fusion between the two? A factory reboot for a daycare ai while Sun and Moon are still the theater personalities? Something entirely different and an entire new person that just isn’t mentioned in the base game???? Are they the original attendant and Sun and Moon are the branch offs or is it the other way around? Are they in denial? Are they stupid? Are Sun and Moon still alive or was the ‘Thank you’ their last words? What is going on??? Idk but I love it because all I’m seeing is a soft spoken little creature who deserves better and they can do no wrong and you’re crazy if you think otherwise, your honor.

13: Getting into big headcannon territory with this one, but I am under the strong belief that the virus simply turns up the flaws of the bots AIs to a hundred and seeing what happens. I feel like Pre-glitch Sunny was much more akin to their fannon interpretation, happy go lucky, childish, playful, albeit with quite awful self esteem and anxiety and maaaybeee just a teeeny weeeny bit of a pushover turned people pleaser by circumstance.

14: Soft Moon truther stepping up to the stand rn. In my opinion PG Moon was more or less the same as Security Breach Moon, though significantly toned down. He was pleasant, soft spoken like Eclipse, much more emotionally stable than Sunny, but definitely a prankster at heart and unwilling to put up with the staffs BS. He probably had a bit of a temper, leading to his bad reputation amongst the employees and ultimately being the patient zero of the virus, but while in a good mood he’d just do a little mischief after hours with nothing too harmful, just annoying at worse while he kicks his feet up into the air and laughs until he’s out of breath while you glare at him and wait for him to calm down. I believe that in Ruin he’s simply just angry because of how long he was kept out of control and wants to get back at Sun for it, unaware of their reasons and unwilling to listen because of the genuine, pent up rage from being trapped for so long.

15: I’m privy to both interpretations honestly! Though I very much lean towards them being entirely separate beings that just so happen to share a body and try to make the most of it, but with Eclipse factored into the conversation the idea of them being two wayward halves of one lost identity has been getting more and more appealing the more I’m exposed to it. And no, at the end of the day I don’t really think it matters.

16: More exploration of how Sun and Moons relationship and personality’s got to where it is now. What were they like at the beginning? Did they always hate each other? Did they use to be separate people? Why were they combined? How did everything go down after they were infected? What events took place in between Cassy’s memories of having such nice, good times in the daycare and the unstable nightmare of Ruin and Security breach? There’s a lot of potential for that and I don’t think people consider it enough!

17: Reader insert content honestly, it’s fine in doses but it does get kind of tiring after awhile. Especially for someone like me who’s never been much of a fan of that kind of content. Once again no offense to anyone who makes that content /gen

Okay but fr

I know stereotypes are a thing for a reason and people who are like in the same kind of space like similar things but-

I kinda forgot this man already came out and I just went “omg I am too!!!” and seeing his tweet about Jaiden made me :) (and though I don’t gush about it often on tumblr dot com I am very much into musicals as well)

Him loving Tick Tick Boom with all his little nerd heart. I was obsessed with that and Andrew for like the entirety of January.

I’m still desperately waiting for that Tick Tick Boom video though (there might be a chance considering his vague posting about an outline of videos coming out with November having a “T?”)

Liking an episode which I thought was already well-recieved by the fandom (I was part of the GF fandom but never went in the deep end. I literally joined when the show ended and in the middle pf all the Bill Cipher statue world wide hunt that happened. It was a cool. I may have missed out on a lot but being there when it happened was just a phenomenal experience that can’t be compared)

And seeing his tumblr sexyman ranking made me actually burst out laughing in our living room. (most of my faves are in B tier and by most there’s like 3 but Bill deserves S spot)

What brought this about? I rewatched a lot of his ranking + dreamworks movie essay videos because I felt nostalgic and went on a little deep dive.

Like God I made a joke on how he seems to be a tumblr girl considering his reaction to the Onceler in his Illumination ranking vid and how I felt a kinship towards him (I literally learned how he made a tumblr sexyman tier list just a couple of minutes ago and this thing I said as a joke was actually a thing he did was the reason why I laughed so hard at his tier list).

Then y’know how much he liked the Heathers musical and even put JD’s Meant to be yours as his top 6 villain song and I just adore that musical to death. (He made a poll on twt and never made that Heathers video. Please Schaff-)

And I don’t really know where I’m going with this but outside of how rewatchable and how much I adore his videos, learning more about the nerdy man behind it just gave me a different perspective? I guess? Well I’m just happy about it all and of course I don’t agree with everything he says (Howl deserves a better ranking but I forgive you) but I guess it’s that odd thing about being happy that someone like you is popular and all that jazz.

Like Jaiden coming out made me happy because she was this popular animation channel and seeing something I like + someone whom I semi-regularly watch and also like being someone similar to me gives me that bouncy happy feeling. Knowing Schaff is a essayist who just feels so passionate about certain things and even making people rethink what they thought about a movie (ex. Shrek Forever After) and as someone who hyperfixates (and I’m not assuming anything until I actually get properly medically diagnosed) and just overexplains all the nitty gritty details about the things I love and what makes them so great and special it just makes me giddy. I guess its what people would refer to as “representation”. That empowering feeling that hey someone like me can be successful kinda feeling. IDK man. Don’t mind the ramblings of an anon on tumblr. I’ll just enjoy his vids in peace and this is the first and last you’ll ever hear of him from my blog again.

But seriously all those commenters on the Illumination ranking video saying he should watch all the Barbie films you guys are brilliant.

Oh yess, Someone letting me talk about my baby. My favorite child. It’s not even a secret, the other children know. And I’m not sorry.

So I will follow you into the dark is definitely my favorite. It’s so self indulgent. It combines my first hyperfixation with my current one and that’s just great for me, caters to all my needs you know.

We are currently 70k in and have one part done. I’m very exited for the rest. For the slow burn. The ghosts, I have so many thoughts. I think it’s pretty plot and angst heavy but I also love that for me. I’m scheming so hard about what’s gonna happen. And I’m so exited to get back to them after the hiatus now. Three months was so long, god.

💗 Is there a scene you can’t wait to write for a wip?

Okay, I am generally very exited to get back into writing I will follow you into the dark, because I’ve missed my babies and the routine I had with it (churning out a 6-10k chapter a week, I don’t know how I did that tbh).

But also, my mind is constantly at the Jennifer’s body au. I am thinking so many thoughts, soo many. I’m very exited to write some murder, gore. I have a very clear idea of the Lay-out I want (cause it’s gonna be a little different I think). Also the smut, I’m not gonna lie I am exited for that too. I think it had soo much potential.

📄 what’s a wip you never finished that you would like to go back to and revisit?

Soo the first fic I ever wrote for this fandom was actually Peter centric. I wrote about five chapters. Something around 30k if I remember correctly, but i lost interest and gave it up. I do have plans to pick it up again and probably turn it into a longer one shot instead of a multi chapter. Maybe throw in some James/Peter. It will be canon compliant. Starting around the prank and ending when he dies something like that. But that won’t be a thing for a while.

1: Song of the year? The Rumbling (Attack on Titan OST). AoT started 2022 off CORRECT, lemme tell you.

2: Album of the year? The Bleach Thousand Year Blood War OST. That Quincy Imperial March gets me going! I can’t wait for the official release.

3: Favorite musical artist / group you started listening to this year? Kaho Nakamura, from the Belle (2021) OST. Every song she sang was EXCELLENT, her voice is LITERALLY a bell.

4: Movie of the year? The only movies I’ve watched this year are anime, and Belle was my favorite, even though it came out in 2021.

5: TV show of the year? TV: AMC’s Interview with the Vampire. Anime: Bleach.

6: Episode of tv or webisode that defined the year for you? Bleach TYBW S01E01, the hype was real--Bleach is BACK, baby! \(^0^)/ This has been the year of astounding adaptations. We waited TEN YEARS for this, and it was PERFECTION.

7: Favorite actor of the year? Jacob Anderson. My mind was blown, seeing Grey Worm from Game of Thrones turn into THIIIIIIIIS sexy AF vampire, WTF?

8: Game of the year? God of War: Ragnarok. Only been waiting FOUR EFFING YEARS for the sequel.

9: Best month for you this year? June & July, when I was on Summer Break.

10: Something that made you cry this year? So much anime, too much homework.

11: Something you want to do again next year? Go to an anime convention.

12: Talk about a new friend you made this year. I met a nice girl in my Greek class who’s super sweet. We study together and spend most of the time fussing about how much we hate Greek. XD

13: How was your birthday this year? I don’t even remember. My Halloween was lovely though.

14: Favorite book you read this year? The only books I read lately are for school, and none of them are what I’d call favorites.

15: What’s a bad habit you picked up this year? Getting fat off of junk food. I’ve never been this big in my life. I’m depressed.

18: A memorable meal this year? I ate raw fish at a sushi place for the first time. Never again. At least I wasn’t the one paying. DEEP FRY my food, please, thanks.

19: What’re you excited about for next year? My fave professor’s coming off sabbatical next year, so I’m stoked! I was dead bored this year.

20: What’s something you learned this year? A lot. How much of it will be relevant to my research though....? HA.

21: What’s something new about your place of residence (room, home, or general location) now vs the start of the year? The extra layer of dust over everything, cuz I ain’t in the mood to clean.

22: Favorite place you visited this year? My mom’s is the only place I ever travel to.

23: If you could send a message to yourself back on the first day of the year, what would it be? Get more sleep, idiot, and put the Pepsi down.

24: Did you keep any New Year’s Resolutions? Not really U_U I didn’t get around to doing any Dragon Age or Cyberpunk stuff this year. And I only did a little bit of the Untamed gameplay. The most headway I made was with Bleach, but I didn’t even finish the Substitute Arc--I really wanted to get to the Soul Society stuff.

25: Did you create any characters (in games, art, or writing) this year? Describe one: I REcreated plenty of sims from a bunch of new fandom INSP gameplays, including: Bleach, The Old Guard, Critical Role, and Interview with the Vampire. I think my favorite has been Caduceus from Critical Role.

I had a lot of fun making him and his CC with all the mushrooms, and the lot I built for him, full of plants and stuff. So rarely do I indulge in High Fantasy, because it’s HARD to do fanciful gameplay--especially for MEN, since everything’s female-oriented in The Sims 3 communitty--unless I make the CC myself--which I hate doing. But I really wanted Caduceus in my game, so, alas.

An Honest Guide to Tumblr for Twitter Refugees (Part 0)

So I had posted Part 1 first, covering basic technical aspects like configuring your Tumblr settings and customizing your Tumblr. And while I was writing my draft for Part 2, I realized that all these “How to use Tumblr” guides are pretty much useless if you don’t even know what the heck Tumblr is and why you should even use it… Thus, I’m just gonna go ahead and talk about that first.

So, what the heck is Tumblr?

I’ve mentioned this in Part 1: Tumblr is a blogging platform. The name “tumblr” comes from the word “tumblelog.” But this definition is just putting things simply.

I’d like to define Tumblr as your own personal corner in the internet. What it really is depends on how you use it. This blog where I’m posting this guide is a blog I use for the multiple fandoms I’m in. Here, I talk about the latest anime episodes, reblog gifs, and sometimes post theories and analyses. My dashboard, then, is full of users who are in the same fandoms as me, and the posts I see most often are those about anime and manga.

Fandom is just one Tumblr use-case. You can customize your Tumblr experience to however you want it to be.

If you’re a writer, you can join the writeblr community and post about your WIPs. You can also follow other writers and talk about their WIPs.

If you’re an artist, you can check out the #artists on tumblr tag and see what other artists are making.

If you’re a developer, you can try making your own Tumblr themes and even join coding challenges.

If you like science stuff, check out the #science side of tumblr.

And if you want to wax poetic about your latest hyperfixation, you can start an fyeah blog. You can go as wild as you want, and people won’t cringe and call you weird for it.

Great! So now I can start posting and joining the x/y/z communities on Tumblr, right?

Not yet. I mean, you can, of course; there’s no hard rule for it. But I advise against jumping right into things.

Someone posted about this before, but I couldn't find that post anymore, so I'll just say it again: Before starting anything here on Tumblr, it's best you spend a few days just lurking around.

Don't make an intro post, don't rush to advertise your blog, and don't start begging for followers yet (the number of followers don’t even matter here). Just lurk. Observe. See how the veteran Tumblr users are doing things and learn from them.

This has been said many times before, but please leave your Twitter habits out the door. Tumblr culture and etiquette is not something you can learn overnight, so it’s wise to just watch first.

Familiarize yourself with the Tumblr terminology. Like, what does “meta” mean? What are ask/tag games? What does it mean when a user says they’re “tracking tags”? There are many other terms, and although it’s not necessary to learn them, you’ll enjoy Tumblr more if you know what they are.

Oh, by the way, it’s called reblog, not retweet. God forbid you call them retweets. And no, adding content to a reblog is not the same as quote tweeting. (I’ll talk more about this in Part 2 or 3 of this guide.)

Why should I listen to you? I’m gonna treat this place like Twitter, fuck you

You don’t have to listen to me at all. But I’m telling you, if you treat this place like Twitter, you’re just inviting hate and ridicule upon yourself. As much as Tumblr users like to call this place hellsite and complain about how it’s always broken, we are oddly very defensive of it. We do not want it to become a Twitter 2.0.

Is Tumblr right for me?

As long as you’re not a brand always trying to sell us stuff or a celebrity only using the platform to promote their show/album/movie, then yes, you are welcome here.

To enjoy Tumblr, you have to treat it like a place where you just hang out and have fun and not just another platform to get sales or followers or to chase clout. That just doesn’t work here. There’s a reason why @/neil-gaiman is Tumblr’s most beloved celebrity, and that’s because he understands this.
