This is it… the piece I’ve been working on for three months straight. Here you can see every single character that has ever been playable. This was a pain in the ass to draw but it was worth it. This game meant so much to me. I had two journals dedicated to the characters, I printed so much out for it I nearly bankrupted my dad lol. It sucks that we have to say goodbye to such a cool game, I’m going to miss you, Magia Record, have a good rest. Madokami knows you deserve it after seven years of runtime.

Dead boy detectives got cancelled

I genuinely want to cry over the news, I had hope… the idea that I’ll never see the boys in any new episode ever again is heartbreaking…

But I’ve already seen a few people saying that now, season 2 gets to be whatever we want, that it belongs to the fandom now and I want to thank those people for bringing some positivity into this sad situation.

And I want to thank all of you actively participating in this fandom.

Everyone who writes fanfictions, who created/participated into Painland week, who draws fanart and comics, who makes edits, posts, who interacts in any way… you are all fantastic and you are a balm on my bleeding heart.

I’m grieving a show and characters that became so important to me in such little time. But I know there are still many wonderful people that love this fandom as much as I do (if not more) and that are there to stay for quite some time, that aren’t abandoning ship because of the cancellation.

Netflix let us down, but I’m glad this show happened even if it died far too quickly, because it meant so much to me and because it gave me this wonderful fandom.

Cry because it’s over if you must, I know I will, but also smile because it happened.

sr1’s ending (and the beginning of sr2) really did open up for a perfect continuation and eventual conclusion of everything that happened in sr1 and i’m really sad we didn’t get as much time devoted to it as we should’ve. the plot threads get wrapped up comparatively quickly, and it doesn’t help that sr1 characters like dex, troy, and julius are just kinda dropped from the narrative.
