reader who’s mother language isn’t english || irl!mcyts x reader

request:  Hey! could i request some headcanons for irl!philza, irl!tommy and irl!wilbur with a reader that doesn't have english as their mother language, so like, they are just really shy when in call with them, and just apologize lots when they say something in the wrong way

includes: (all platonic) wilbur, philza, & tommy

note: tysm- this one i couldn’t write thattt much but i tried to add as much as possible

wilbur:

. mans is so so patient- its not even awkward to him, he’s just patiently waiting

. he is super understanding as well, he hates when you apologize because he doesn’t care if you’re nervous

“hey hey hey, it’s okay, you don’t need to apologize- talk when you want, if you need help, let me know!”

. he loves learning about other countries and i feel like that could translate into other languages

. so he might learn a bit of your mother language to help understand what you are trying to say in english

. he is so quick to defend you if anyone tries to make fun of you for it

“chat, if i see any of you making fun of y/n, i will not hesitate to block you. not everyone learns english first and english is a fucking hard language, so i better not see it.”

phil:

. his protective/dadza instincts kick in

. like gentle and patient, he would never pressure you into it

“you doing alright mate? take you time if you need it”

. reassures you that you don’t need to apologize, he has all the time in the world for you

“it’s ok- you don’t need to apologize, it’s all good!” 

. phil just has chill, calm vibes, there’s no rush for you to say anything

. he understands how difficult english can be and never blames you for it

. wont take any bs that comes your way from others

“look- it’s not okay to point out other’s mistake when they are clearly trying and making an effort. the philza block button looks really good for those who say anything” 

tommy:

. despite his chaotic and teasing nature, he has this chill side

. he would never make fun of your for it- it’s like when he helped tubbo in jackbox w/ his dyslexia

“do you need help? i can wait till you figure out what you want to say”

. if you apologize, he will be so quick to tell you it’s unnecessary (please it is never your fault, there’s so many words in the english language)

“hey man, don’t apologize, english fucking sucks and it’s weird”

. kind of like wilbur, he would *attempt* to learn a bit of your language so he can help you

. kind of goes without saying, he would cuss someone out for making fun of you

. overall, he just is a bit of a softy to help, he would in no way make fun of you

ONCE UPON A TIME,

THERE WAS A BEAUTIFUL YOUNG GIRL

WHOSE STEPMOTHER ALWAYS MADE HER STAY HOME WITH THE BABY.

THE BABY WAS A SPOILED CHILD.

HE WANTED EVERYTHING FOR HIMSELF,

AND THE GIRL WAS PRACTICALLY A SLAVE.

BUT WHAT NO ONE KNEW

WAS THAT THE GOBLIN KING FELL IN LOVE WITH HER

AND GAVE HER CERTAIN POWERS.

SO ONE NIGHT,

WHEN THE BABY HAD BEEN PARTICULARLY CRUEL TO HER,

SHE ASKED THE GOBLINS FOR HELP.

[SNORING]GOBLIN: LISTEN!

SARAH: "SAY YOUR RIGHT WORDS," THE GOBLINS SAID,

"AND WE'LL TAKE THE BABY TO THE GOBLIN CITY,

AND YOU WILL BE FREE."

GOBLINS: AH!

SARAH: BUT THE GIRL KNEW THE KING OF THE GOBLINS

WOULD KEEP THE BABY IN HIS CASTLE FOREVER AND EVER

AND TURN IT INTO A GOBLIN,

SO SHE SUFFERED IN SILENCE

UNTIL ONE NIGHT

WHEN SHE WAS TIRED FROM DOING HOUSEWORK

AND HURT BY THE HARSH WORDS OF HER STEPMOTHER

AND SHE COULD NO LONGER STAND IT.

TOBY: WAA!

Barbarian: even after we killed his buddies?

DM: Mhm. So as goblin3 looked around, confused, the noise you’ve been hearing since you came here finally revealed. Another goblin, bigger than the first three sleeping, snoring. *makes a loud and obnoxious snoring noise*

Rogue(me): I must ask… how is the goblin sleeping? Is he…

DM: He’s sleeping upright, snoring as loud as he can.

Barbarian: I swear if he’s not actually asleep—

Sorcerer: I USE CHARM ON HIM!

DM: I… okay. But he’s asleep.

Sorcerer: I use charm.

DM: Okay… I’ll just let this happen. You charm the sleeping goblin, but… nothing happens. Because he’s sleeping.

Sorcerer: aw…

summary: watching over the toddlers at the playground is quite the feat...

. usually you would take over and watch over the boys when phil was busy

. today happened to be one of them- you decided to take them to your local playground to let them release their energy

. the moment you guys arrived tommy had bolted to the sandbox

. tubbo and ranboo just followed cuz why not

. not too long after you hear coughing-

"tommy! what is in your mouth??"

. he ate sand. yup. (wilbur would be proud-)

. tubbo tried to copy him but was quickly stopped by you

. ranboo the entire time was just focused on his sandcastle

"tommy why don't you go and find some cool rocks and sticks for the sandcastle?"

. he brings back a ton of random rocks and trash-

. tubbo got bored of the sandbox and moved on to sitting in the field picking the dandelions

"tubbo look-"

you blow away at the dandelion, allowing the fluffy seedlings to fly through the air. tubbo on the other hand was stuck between bursting out into tears from losing his dandelion and amazement from the "magical specs" going through the air.

. he would find two and bring one to tommy and ranboo

"blow! tommy, ranboo blow!"

. baby amazement- lots of photos were taken

. once the boys spot the jungle gym, its chaos

. ranboo is showing off his height at the baby monkey bars

. tubbo does get upset and stomps off to find tommy- who is trying to jump off the highest platform

. you catch him before he hits the ground and breaks a bone

. god forbid there be other children there-

"HEY GET AWF THE SLIDE, FUC AWF!" "TOMMY!"

. the other little girl is in tears-

. lots of apologizing and muttering under your breath at wilbur (who most likely taught him that)

. tommy would also throw sand in another child's face and laugh

. tubbo is the one who would let the other kids play with him and ranboo with a smile

. ranboo would mostly stay quietly behind tubbo, scared of the other kids

. after rounding up the three toddlers, you put tubbo and ranboo in the baby swings

. tommy refused to sit in a baby swing and insisted on the big kids swing

. he lays on his stomach and does the airplane thing while you push tubbo and ranboo

"weeeeeee" "want to go higher ranboo?" *nods*

. by the time you arrive home, all three of them are plumb tired and fast asleep

. their clothes are also soiled, grass stains all over and sand in the little crevices of their shoes

. when you spot wilbur, you smack the back of his head

"ow! what was that for-" "you- wilbur soot you should not teach your brother curse words, that is a terrible influence. tommy ATE SAND for goodness sake and cursed at a little girl. wait till phil hears about this."

. he has a cheeky grin and saying 'that's my boy!'

request: hello, could i ask for a platonic fluffy sbi and bench trio reacting to reader coming out as gay and that they have a s/o with he/him pronouns, i love the way you write i wish to have your talent

note: tysm love, i was only able to do sbi, my brain just physically couldn’t do bench trio as well

you could also substitute ‘gay’ as any other sexuality! its quite vague

hovering your cursor over the cluster of names, you nervously sat there, debating back and forth whether or not to join the vc. you had a goal today, one you had meant to complete for a while. you were pushing back coming out to your closest friends even though you knew they would be nothing but supportive, the nerves couldn’t help but overcome those feelings. suddenly, as if your body was encouraging you, a sudden surge of confidence filled your veins, causing your finger to click down.

wilbur: “y/n? is that you?” y/n: “yea, it’s me, hi guys-” tommy: “y/n! tell wilbur that i can get lots of girlfriends if i wanted-” techno: “tommy calm down, he just got here.” philza: “hey y/n! how’s it going?” y/n: “it’s going alright, it’s been a stressful day.” philza: “you okay mate?” y/n: “mm i’ll be okay”

your breath hitched, wondering when it was a good idea to let them know. deciding to stay silent for a bit, you let them carry on as usual, tommy bickering with wilbur, philza laughing, techno watching unamused.

tommy being tommy, making sure everyone was included, reached out first.

tommy: “hey y/n, are you alright? you haven’t said anything in a while-”

taking in a deep breath, the words you had been waiting to say just tumbled right out of your mouth.

“uhm, i don’t really know how to say this but,, i’m gay- and i have a s/o”

the boys sat for a split second, not even hesitating to break into smiles.

tommy: “that’s poggers-” wilbur: “i’m proud of you for coming out, you’ll always be supported here.” philza: “yea- thanks for letting us know, have you known for long?” techno: “wait a s/o?” tommy: “Y/N! YOU SHOULD LET ME MEET YOUR S/O!”

as you exhaled, you received an immediate wave of relief, your body and posture relaxing. after tommy had quickly calmed down, he spoke again.

tommy: “no but in all seriousness y/n, we will support you, always” techno: “yea- what the child said, we would never stop being friends with you because of it” y/n: “thanks you guys, i appreciate it- and tommy, maybe in the future you can meet them” tommy: “i’ll have you know, everyone loves me-” wilbur: “false.” tommy: “HEY!”

a loud laugh let out of your lips for the first time that day, glad to have them by your side.

request: okay i have another request lol what about p!tommy and best friend reader making flower crowns for each other cause he was sad or something like that?

note: ok i barely write c! but c!tommy just works so well for it-

the wind gently pushed its way between the blades of grass, playing a low whistle. mixed into the soft sage blades, small white flowers danced in the wind, leaves and petals swaying in a rhythm. 

between it all sat a blonde teenager, eyes somber and posture hunched. he was looking into the distance as if he was searching for something to magically appear and comfort him, give him an answer, just anything. although no tears threatened to spill, his eyes were glossy, reflecting the rolling hills in front of him. 

you gently stepped your way over, the grass creating small crunch sounds for every step. as you stood besides him, you decided to stay silent, taking a seat beside him instead, allowing tommy to break the silence.

it was a low whisper, barely heard over the gentle wind. 

“y/n- what did i do? i- i brought back wilbur for fuck’s sake..”

keeping your gaze in front of you, you knew tommy was hurt, broken, vulnerable, he hated people seeing him like this. reaching down to fiddle with the tufts of grass, avoiding ripping them up, you answer carefully.

“well it wasn’t exactly you tommy, it was dream’s fault-”

tommy’s voice raised slightly, anger seeping through his syllables.

“but i could’ve killed dream! wilbur would’ve stayed as ghostbur and-”

his voice faltered, breaking into a silent anger. shifting your gaze to the field around you, you got up off your spot, reaching out to gently pull at the stems of the bloomed flowers.

tommy’s gaze tore away from the hills, following your figure. he silently watched you gather flowers until you deemed there were a sufficient amount. instead of taking your previous spot, you plop down in front of tommy, crossing your legs underneath one another.

reaching out, you grab tommy’s hand to have his palm face upwards, placing a couple flowers in it. releasing his hand, you begin to weave the flowers you had saved for yourself slowly, allowing tommy to watch. 

wrapping up the last of the chain, you reach it out in front of tommy, admiring your craftsmanship. deciding it was satisfactory, you motion tommy to tilt his head down to place the finished flower crown on his head, tangling slightly in his blonde locks.

you smile softly, speaking your thoughts in a quiet voice, the somber mood still in the air.

“i know it’s not much and i can’t reverse time- but flower crowns make me happy and i thought you might like it. also- i think we got this, it’s not like we haven’t been through chaos before, right?”

tommy cracked a small grin, speaking up for the second time that afternoon.

“thanks y/n, i appreciate it, you’re the best friend i never knew i needed- can you show me again how you did it? i want to make you one as well.”

brightening up, you begin to weave the other flowers into a chain, allowing tommy to finish the rest.

the completed product wasn’t as clean as the first, but the pure white flowers blended together in a stunning way that hid all the imperfections. tilting your head towards tommy, he places it on top of your head, happy with himself.

“thanks again y/n.” “anytime, there’s nothing we can’t take on. what is that phrase you use? “i ain’t a pussy”.“

tommy let out light audible chuckles, extending his fist to give you a fist bump. lightly bumping your knuckles against his, you return his grin.

“yea, dream has nothing on us.”
