The reason some of you keep smacking into a wall when you very lazily treat misogynior and transphobia as one and the same thing is because something being linked doesn't mean interchangeable, and when you try to talk to the average Black woman not on social media she thinks you're crazy when you talk about Black womanhood like gender dysphoria because those experiences simply aren't identical. I know Black people on twitter swear it really is so but trans Black people aren't being kicked out their childhood homes because there's kinship.

Its like some of you are back flipping over the part that Black women are and were characterised as masculine, beastly and aggressive to excuse chattel slavery and the mass rape of enslaved Black people but because little white trans you wanted to find a way to make slavery about you by hiding behind solidarity so now we're rewriting history and saying racism wasn't racism and it was transphobia so white you is included. The fact people do not talk about white supremacy as the cause so everyone can feel included is fucking crazy. white trans people are far too comfortable using the suffering of Black women as a piggy back to talk about the main show: themselves. Some of you saw that gender is used against trans people and Black people and then turned your brain off.

Last year when they brought this ban up for a vote, number one, they said it was a national security issue. It's a national security issue. I said "Okay. That's serious. Let's see the case. Let's see the intelligence, let's see what's going on." I can tell you that what was presented to all of the members voting on this thing was not very compelling. There was no real information that was given that was a smoking gun, that was anything specific. It was very vague, not convincing and frankly it was not convincing to many other members as well. In fact, very high ranking members on the House Foreign Affairs Committee came to me after the briefing and they were very shocked and pretty surprised at the lack of substantive information in the briefing. They were genuinely expecting there to be some real or compelling intelligence shared that would substantiate the argument. And there just wasn't. And they were surprised at the lack of information presented at it.

And also, additionally, this bill, which is very large and substantive, like in terms of its impact, came to the Energy and Commerce Committee, it was marked up and it was brought to the floor like in a matter of I don't know, one or two weeks. I'm trying to remember, it was just a few weeks; which is very, very fast. Very.

Additionally, the degree to which corporations surveil the American people without genuine consent and without a real mechanisms for opting out, should be illegal. Point blank period. And so many of us naturally said, the answer is not just playing endless whack-a-mole with apps, the answer is that we should have real privacy legislation in the United States, and we should help people own their information and have greater agency over their personal information so that they're not being spied on all the time, whether it's a domestic company or a foreign company. So we need to actually have privacy laws in the United States—to which, of course, Big Tech is going to fight against. And their lobbies are going to fight against. So they just target an app instead of targeting the problem.

And then lastly, when this thing was passed, all these legislators were like—though who supported it—were like, "Oh, it's not a ban, it's not a ban; it's just a forced sale." Which, to be fair, forced sales have happened in the past. Grindr was a forced sale. And they'll say, "It's not a ban, it'll be a forced sale, it'll be fine." Well, first of all, they provided very little time for that to happen. For an app that big, who is going to buy TikTok? Hello? Like, it's very large.

But, besides that, after leaving no time for a forced sale, now here we are. And I would say that the lack of forethought and the rushed nature of this bill is now evidenced by the fact that both the Biden and Trump administrations are looking to see if there's any way to reverse or stall it. And if they're looking at that now, why didn't they look at it then?

Since when we use these kind of tags on tumblr? 🤔🤔🤔 like do they even work on this platform? I mean tumblr doesn’t have an algorithm that shows you posts of your niche interests based on the posts you engage with. Trust me, I made this account in 2011 and Tumblr is still largely the same, and everyone kinda loathe changes around here, just ask about the icon/pfp size/placement change.

Personally I NEVER go to the “for you” or the “explore” tabs, I loath those things, sometimes tumblr shows you the most random selection of posts you’ve ever seen bc a moot likes them rather than showing stuff that actually intersect with your interests (or shows you a post that you like, and its from your fandom, and you get excited because maybe you found someone new to follow, just to realize someone reposted your stuff lol).

It is much easier to understand that the stuff you post will only be seen by you and whoever follows you, so you need to learn to properly tag your posts so others can see your stuff, never ever crosstag or abuse trending tags for reach (that will only get you block - a lot), and learn which tracking tags align best with your interests/fandoms so you can use them. Also choose tags that interest you an follow them, have a curated list of blog subs and filtered tags (Okay, thats not easy at all but thats how things work here)

In short: tagging your posts "fypツ" does absolutely nothing, tumblr allows you up to 30 tags per post, use them wisely or get blocked, your choice.

because i imagine that matteo, the roller band and yam have successful music careers, luna and ramiro have successful skating careers, nina is a successful author, jazmín is a successful media/drama youtuber and everyone else doesn't really involve themselves directly with fame

so personally, i would most likely be a casual fan of the roller band and maybe yam but i would probably know of jazmín just from being on the internet, the rest not so much
