Maybe in the past, he was like a therapy friend to Wukong, someone he could really be himself with, vent, and tell his secrets without being judged in the safety of his own dreams. Someone he can truly trust, and that was Macaque.

Now he's a therapy friend to the whole MK team! (Against his will) They cuddle, pet, and vent to him with their problems. He's like one of Sandy's therapy cats, just bigger and grumpier.😾💕✨ he just has this way with people I guess

Okay, this is how it starts: Macaque and Wukong's first encounter was in a dream.

Wukong would not shut up about the pretty demon in his crazy dreams, often to his sworn brothers; he talked about all the fun and crazy adventures he'd have, the long meaningful conversations and jokes, and the occasionally moving pictures of otherworldly strong magical humans with sparkly eyes and spiky hair who wield giant weapons that shoots Fire called anime, and that this had been going on for a few months now.

This annoyed and concerned them; they think it's a demon trying to take over the Monkey King's mind or trying to brainwash him somehow, so Azure Lion and the Sworn Brothers all brainstormed together to devise a plan to somehow confront this tricky dream demon. Wukong doesn't want the fun dreams to end or scare off this other celestial monkey, so he decides to talk to his friend in his dreams. Wukong casually brings up the idea that the macaque should visit Flower Fruit and meet his sworn brothers! Macaque of course hesitates, not sure of the idea of traveling to an unknown island and meeting The Monkey King's questionable choice of sworn brothers, but of course, Wukong, sad and a bit offended, but he doesn't give up.

He decides to bring upon the Ultimate Weapon, begging and whining until Macaque crumbles and gives in, which eventually does. Mac reluctantly agrees to travel over to FFM in disguise, just to be safe he tells Wukong he'll be there. Within a month, Wukong couldn't be more excited; he was like a little kid waiting for Christmas day!

So this is what kinds of powers I think he should have.

😴 the first pic is crossing over to other people's dreams and making their experience life-like he has illusion magic so this makes sense to me. Wukong and macaque would prank the Brotherhood or play tags and hide and seek in their brother's dreams. 🌸The second pic is the soothing ability to calm one's nerves if they pet or cuddle him like a therapy cat,🐈 Wukong would groom him for hours to calm his nerves. now come copes with food🍑🍔🍭

At the end of every dream Mac visits they would end it by dancing to music Mac would bring from the future laughing and stumbling while wukong slowly wakes up, wukong has always gone to bed early But now he goes even earlier to bed. Wukong always thought he was the luckiest monkey in the world he gets to have two Adventure and one of them is with his prettiest best friend Macaque 😚✨the monkey of his dreams.

her name in-game is eurydice (it might change because I’m indecisive about names) she’s a cleric of kelemvor (grave domain)! before getting snatched up by the nautiloid, she was a healer of some renown. and for those she couldn’t save, she would to tend to their last wishes, and perform burial services (particularly for those who passed on alone). she has seen a lot of things in doing so, and is very calm in the face of the horrors because of it. also her main weapon is literally just a shovel. I love her

this is a very new playthrough, but I already have so many thoughts about her dynamic with a few of the companions… so I’ll be rambling a bit under the cut :]

another thing kelemvor's clergy does is protect people from dying before their time. they’ll cure diseases and protect people from monsters, keeping them safe until it’s time for the bell to actually toll. and so in here lies a conundrum for eurydice… karlach and gale are both so determined to doom themselves :(.

eurydice has a complicated relationship with death (this absolutely ties into her backstory but I haven’t written it yet haha). she's experienced a lot of it in her profession, and she’s always believed that it's simply a part of life. it’s a new beginning — one that should be celebrated, when it comes to someone naturally. it’s never been something to fear in her eyes. but it starts to feel very different when it's someone you care about, doesn’t it? and come act 2, she’s faced with two very complicated situations.

eurydice learned a long time ago that not everyone can be saved… she’s seen it herself, again and again. but karlach *can* be saved! she doesn't have to die! eurydice would be so upset that karlach refuses to consider going back to the hells. even if she understands that to karlach, it’s a fate worse than death. but it isn’t her time, is it? It can’t be. karlach hasn’t been able to live her own life in years, and she deserves that chance now, more than anything. it’s cruel and unjust that it can so easily be taken away. but how can you save someone when the one option you have isn’t something they *want*? karlach wants to live, but not in the place that tormented her. what right does anyone have to tell her what to do in this situation? what is the *right* thing to do, here? is there one at all?

and with gale, it seems more and more like there isn't much choice. he’s already living on borrowed time. the orb will kill him eventually, and potentially many others if he doesn’t find somewhere remote for it to explode. (which in itself is horrible, and eurydice finds it especially appalling that he’d have to die painfully and *alone*.) the orb can be temporarily sated, but not cured, not even by the most powerful of cleric. and then, a literal goddess tells gale that dying is *the only way to save the world*. there’s no way around that, is there? but maybe… the gods aren't always right. and maybe even the ‘morally good’ gods don’t care for their followers as they should. maybe fate isn’t something that’s written, and maybe it doesn’t exist at all.

so. yeah. there’s a lot to consider here for her!

also she hasn’t had astarion try to bite her yet… eurydice has definitely had her suspicions that he’s a vampire since the beginning, though. it’s obvious in general, but especially obvious to a follower of kelemvor lmao. technically, she should have to kill him once it’s confirmed that he’s undead… but we’ll see about that. eurydice didn’t fight very often before the nautiloid, and when she did, it was only ever to save people who were in danger. undead weren’t a common thing for her to battle, and the rare times she did come across them, they were always reanimated corpses. ones that didn’t have emotions, or any memory of life anymore. astarion, however — all she sees is a person who went through a lot of unfortunate circumstances. another moral dillema! hurray!!!

there’s so much interesting conflict this run… I don’t know if I phrased any of that well but it makes sense in my mind lmao. I just say things and hope some of it sticks

Unveiling more of my second piece for Bellara week at @datvcompanionweeks - the piece about Bellara releasing the Archive after her personal quest.

Bellara paces around her room until she's pretty sure she stepped on every available square of the floor. She considers moving some furniture around just to free up more space for even more pacing and thinking—that could be an excuse to take her cot outside to air it out. It just has to have dust under it, tons of, likely. She isn't sure she's cleaned her room a single time since she moved in. Would she even need to, considering the way the Lighthouse adjusts to them and takes care of so many other inconveniences? Or maybe it could spawn some dust in just for her, sensing that she needs a distraction so badly? Maybe— Focus.  She clasps her hands. Breathes. She doesn’t need a distraction — she needs to get this over with.

Something that The Amazing Devil does so beautiful is that even though a lot of their songs are very wordy they don't rush or skip over the rests in-between. And my favorite examples of this are Elsa's Song and Old Witch Sleep/Good Man Grace, because in old with/good man the beggining is so nice because they put so much pauses between each phrase and even parts like the "Sleep now, oh, she said" there is this smallest rest between the "Now" and "Oh" and it's so subtle but if you don't do that rest it's very very noticeable because your just slurring these two (almost) very short phrases of their own. Then in Elsa's Song l love how the tempo and when they come in, is almost dragging, they are coming in at the very last second of the beat and it makes the tone of the song so so so good

unfortunately im really not beating the transmasc puppy stereotypes out here. wanna be the cutest little pup you've ever seen in the whole world. wanna have sleeve paws and oversized hoodies and a dog bed we keep on the living room floor. want a collar with your name on it. i want my dog bowl to be pastel blue and for your favorite hobby to be putting your fingers in my mouth. wanna be mounted and made to whine & bark as you hold my leash. i want to be the little spoon after as you pet me and tell me what a good, pretty puppy i am.
