My only New Year’s resolution is getting more people to play Mike Klubnika games. They just all bang so hard. Buckshot Roulette is new and it’s so COOL.

And they’re all so short! And all but two are free! And those two are cheap! They’re all such an interesting horror games. Go. Shoo. Play some neat little indie horror games.

i really don’t think it’s “typical dragon age fandom nonsense” for people to be genuinely upset about the world state choices. combat, level design, art direction, gameplay gimmicks, those have all varied across each dragon age game. the one thing that’s remained constant are nods to our previous choices.

i wasn’t expecting my HoF to come riding in on a griffon, but i can’t find a monument dedicated to warden tabris somewhere around the anderfels? lucanis couldn’t have some lines about the time that one arainai boy was stirring up trouble in antiva city? you’re gonna tell me that making a mage the new divine wouldn’t have some impact on nevarra and antiva? on the anderfels, the supposed most devout militant andrastian nation in thedas? you’re saying nobody in the north is paying attention to who rules orlais or ferelden? come on.

Six Something Sunday

Hello! Thanks for the tags @artsyunderstudy @thewholelemon @valeffelees @confused-bi-queer @monbons @youarenevertooold @whatevertheweather. It's fun seeing everyone come out of their post-COC / post-holiday dazes and writing up a storm.

I've been working as always on Basil Pitch's Diary, and I maybe maybe technically don't have any actual finished words of ch 12 yet, but I've done a lot of planning / problem solving that is making the writing of the chapter seem much closer. Which is exciting because [spoilers for BPD ch 11]

they finally KISSED and while it won't be all scones and roses from here on out, I should get to write Baz being at least momentarily happy and that's so great.

This early in the process I'm basically just writing stream-of-consciousness ideas by hand until my brain stumbles upon where it needs to be.

This ... isn't where it needs to be.

I didn't set out to start a MalMage romantic comedy but kind of think I did, and am not mad about it.

Hey so I did actually make a little primer for any of you interested in learning about hockey :) It covers the basic rules and pretty much goes in order of the bare minimum you'd need to know to understand what's going on. It does not include propaganda for convincing you to watch hockey. There's a final section I'll keep expanding on that's just personal enjoyment, and maybe I'll put propaganda there, but the actual meat focused on explaining how to watch the game is all completed and hopefully actually useful :)!

I fucking loved it.

really and truly I think it built upon the exact themes I have loved so much from previous msq in ways that aligned perfectly for some very good symbolism and parallels. even to my own ocs! many new characters to this story reminded me of my own that I have written within this setting and I couldnt be happier about that. <3

trying to make bg3 work for me today got me like

Like the game doesn't offer ulder enough. and it's frustrating because some people are starting to see the layers behind wyll's discussion of his horns/why he would be seen as unsettling to the tieflings, but idk if people are also fully understanding not just the role devils play in the game but ulder's own experiences... he says he became a "plaything for devils" when in elturel. That's bad yeah? like I fully believe he loves wyll and I fully believe that part of his firm refusal to listen to wyll stems from not just the real fear of losing his son to powers beyond his control, but also from his recent trauma of being abused by devils and then seeing his own son bear these marks. It's still not fair to wyll. But I find that having a character who's a flawed parent, who tried and tries and still has shortcomings but admits to them, is incredibly interesting and worthwhile to engage with. But also larian seems so uninterested in actually exploring their relationship, as evidenced by how little we get between the two of them lol
