sculpted a strange shimmery two headed snail, speckled with wild flowers on it's shell~
#sculpture#snail#fantasy art#I have never sculpted or even drawn a snail before#so hopefully the anatomy is not incredibly off#(though if so.. I guess it could also just pass as further Strange Magical Mutations lol)#It doesn't show up as well in the photo but the shell has some irridescent eyeshadow on it so it kind of alternates a little warm#red and teal as you move it.#Made for an art contest on a game that I play lol (I wouldnt normally think to sculpt a snail on my own if it werent part of a#prompt) but I do kind of like the way it came out.. sort of..#Perhaps a real creature that exists in Nanyevimi (my worldbuilding setting) in some capacity then.. hrmm#also in relevance to this blog i DO STILL WANT TO finish the story with the little adventurer... goursh I have just had so much going on..#all of my little side projects like that have fallen away for so long. Look, I just think it's VERY funny and on brand that I thought of an entire premise of colorful characters for half the cast and immediately drew the only one void of color.
#my characters#i will not bore you all too much in the main post but now its story time in the tags so yeefuckinghaw#noll is a fae and is distinctly the only one that just lacks colors#at first he was like well surely i can wear colorful stuff to make up for my dark hair and eyes !#and then he overhears some of the fae talking about how hes a blemish to the fae and hes like well fuck#guess its time to go all in baby! and decks himself out in all black and jagged clothing#and he tries to play it off as hes an idiot and a lot of the fae actually believe its not ALL an act#like they can tell he thinks about stuff but he normally does it staring into space so they dont care to ask#cause surely it isnt important enough to brood about hes just thinking about stuff#and he really REALLY has a lot of confidence issues and worries that more fae are disturbed by his darkness than let on#but then the other fae that like to hang out with him are like#YOOOOOO THATS OUR LIL VOID! THATS OUR LIL GUY! our lil black spot look at him hes so edgy and cute!#and treat him like a pet cat at times giving him head pats even if he bats their hands away#and the plot premise is that some of the fae are bored and decide they should go play with some humans! give THEM enrichment too!#and noll gets roped into it and The Game is basically go find a human partner and convince them to be an ally#then the fae give the humans cool lil toys (weapons) and are like GO FORTH MY CHAMPION!#so noll keeps like ... not picking anyone to participate because its not just A Game to him#if he can prove victorious in A Game with outside factors such as humans then he can prove hes not#an absolute disappointment to the fae like he has a lot riding on this in his mind#and his friends are just like buddy you cant even play if you dont pick a human you gotta#anyway here is noll and then i have ideas for two other fae and also a veeeery vague idea for two of the humans though not as sure yet#rae if you read all this you should know the cobalt is a fae thanks bye#i am so stressed posting ocs every single time and i am incredibly depressed and anxious#so good lord please let me not just delete all the tags in an hour bc im ashamed

so, my non spoiler review for dawntrail:
I fucking loved it.
really and truly I think it built upon the exact themes I have loved so much from previous msq in ways that aligned perfectly for some very good symbolism and parallels. even to my own ocs! many new characters to this story reminded me of my own that I have written within this setting and I couldnt be happier about that. <3
#also if you didnt enjoy it i just ask you not come onto my post to argue with me about it#i enjoy a good back and forth about story structure i just ask that this is not the place for it#frankly i wasnt even going to say anything about my thoughts until it started feeling a little bit choking with the negativity on my feed#and in discord and twitter and everywhere else#if you didnt enjoy it im sorry! ive seen some good points about what people didnt like and theyre honestly fair#but some people seem to just be complaining to complain and i wonder why they play the game in the first place#i think its also important to keep in mind that this isnt like the end#we have a lot of story coming after this#also if youre bringing up AGAIN how much you hated stormblood i curse you to stub your toe in 15 minutes

saw somebody claim the stickybomb launcher was too ugly for demoman and he should use the half zatoichi instead. disgraceful thoughts like this should be punishable by death, perhaps by tying them to a rocket going into space
#tf2#this is a joke obv the suggestion of a ridiculous death penalty is just a funny overreaction#sometimes it feels like people either dont play the game or have an opinion so deeply biased#and sure you can have an opinion#but when you are wrong you are wrong.#the stickybomb launcher is literally the bread and butter of demoman#removing it dramatically alters his playstyle#im not saying this is a bad thing but as someone who uses stock on the regular#this thing takes skill to use at its highest efficiency#and you will need help from your teammates too#yeah sure sticky spamming into a choke point seems like easy peasy shit#but sometimes the enemy team realizes its just you and a pyro that downloaded the game today#and a gun spy#and they go forth and kill you#and no amount of sticky spam is gonna take them out#trapping is in itself an art#anyways am I biased? yes. am i also an avid demoknight hater? i will say nothing on that matter till my lawyer is here

trying to make bg3 work for me today got me like
#the bg3 adventures#i ain't touching that shit for a year i s2g#whatever they mixed into that patch 7 sauce it got everywhere#on my saves on my mods on my load orders#i downgraded to patch 6 that didn't do dick (my mods would just not appear in the game no matter what)#so i figured imma put my big girl pants on and tackle every challenge that patch 7 + mods has to offer#let me tell you how i spent 3 hours mud-wrestling the bg3 executable#only to go back home crying covered in shit head-to-toe#and yes i've reinstalled bg3mm and the SE and deleted and reloaded and restarted and updated the mods that had newer versions#it's just the built-in mod manager is an absolute nightmare to fucking work with#the back-and-forth between the mod manager the menu the saves the mod page while loading the saves#the random mods showing up that are not even in the mod folder/??? i'm-#and then some other mods showing up like... 20 times? dsdfdsf#yeah nah take me back to the peaceful pre-patch days#when i could just load in play around with pretty dresses then spend 2 hours taking pics or game footage#anyway where was i? ah yes period crying at my desk before any of this sdfdsfgfdg#maybe i should log off and just go write#yea

Like the game doesn't offer ulder enough. and it's frustrating because some people are starting to see the layers behind wyll's discussion of his horns/why he would be seen as unsettling to the tieflings, but idk if people are also fully understanding not just the role devils play in the game but ulder's own experiences... he says he became a "plaything for devils" when in elturel. That's bad yeah? like I fully believe he loves wyll and I fully believe that part of his firm refusal to listen to wyll stems from not just the real fear of losing his son to powers beyond his control, but also from his recent trauma of being abused by devils and then seeing his own son bear these marks. It's still not fair to wyll. But I find that having a character who's a flawed parent, who tried and tries and still has shortcomings but admits to them, is incredibly interesting and worthwhile to engage with. But also larian seems so uninterested in actually exploring their relationship, as evidenced by how little we get between the two of them lol
#i still go back and forth on how much i think he knew the truth behind wyll's pact. and how he feels about it.#there's a lot of room to play bc the game gives us so little#but if there is a world where he truly believes wyll willingly sides with devils#why would he listen to wyll? why would he listen to a word out of his mouth? when devils use their words to trick and manipulate?#and if he did believe that he lost a part of his son when he started his pact... and now he has the horns and ridges of a devil...#the pain of thinking you truly lost everything that made your son who he was. like it could scare you.#i dunno...#or maybe there's something else going on. maybe he feels entirely differently. hard to know when the game doesn't gaf about him!#but i like ulder :( let's all stop putting him in the 'villain' category what are some of you doing

I could maybe get it if it was like a tiny tiny discord groupchat of playtesters with like 5 people in#it.. But something about talking openly about things before they happen is weird to me?? Like presumptuous feeling or something#''oooo guess whats gonna happen LATER!!!'' like.. how do you know.. what if it doesnt. what if you dont finish it. what if its not the way#you think it's going to be. what if something changes. etc. Like I literally avoid movie trailers and game trailers for the same reason ghj#Even if it's not ME doing it it just feels... weird.. Maybe it has to do with my OCD and how I just don't like talking about ''future''#things in Certain Terms. Like if I was going to say ''Oh yeah sure. come over to my house in a few months''. I would have to follow it up#with like ''HOPEFULLY you can come over to my house in a few months'' or 'They'll come over in a few months MOST LIKELY''. Because just#stating that something will happen matter of factly takes for granted like.. what if somehting horrible happens and I DONT have a house#in a few months? or what if something bad happens to me. or to the person coming over? I can't ever DEFINITELY say with 100% certainty#that one could ACTUALLY come to my house in a few months. anything could change. So I have to allot for that in my phrasing. hbjjkn#There are a lot of situations where you're expected to just Assume Things but for some reason that bothers me. My brain literally does not#even Assume the most basic things.. like how do *I* know that just because it's someones birthday that they want to be wished a happy#birthday? what if they dont? everyone is different and has different preferences. I should check with them first. or wait until they public#ly announce that theyre accepting birthday wishes. I have to allot for all 5034859069 rare possibilities at any given time and never take#anything for certain. etc. ghjbjhbh.... ANYWAY.. I have been feeling a bit sick lately as usual.. but still slowly making progress on some#things. Moslty I need to edit costume photos. make sculptures. and work on the game. Going back reading some of the old writing from like#2018 and suprisingly I don't have to change that much of it? In fact I like it mostly. so that's good. I would be very interested if I were#playing the game myself. i think the diamond dogs should play improv games just bc it would amuse me, an ex theater kid, specifically
#ted and beard ofc are reading each others minds#trent is shockingly good at it but only when he forgets to be self conscious#also see: he does both best and worst with ted (best when he's not being self conscious#worst when somehow the prompt gets too touchy or 'romantic' bc Crush Crush Crush Brain Panic)#(please the image of ted in character hugging him or something and trent just. red. brain crashed. no longer improving just frozen. barely#manages to recover and even then it was not subtle. unclear if ted is a) genuinely oblivious b) teasing him and thinks trent knows that#c) something else(??) )#roy is too stiff most of the time but if he gets really into it he gets REALLY into it.#best way to get this result is to involve phoebe or another child#higgins did community theater at some point and is the one teaching them all the games. beard also seems to have done intense research#but higgins is the one with EXPERIENCE#not that i think beard and ted couldn't have done an improv duo in college or something but in this scenario they did not#nate surprisingly is pretty good at it once he gets into it like it takes him a second but#then he's like. really getting into it and he's very quick on his feet#new way to go mad with power (affectionate): the rush you get when you make the perfect snap back comedic line/acting choice#also while trent is so good paired with so many of them i think he and nate would be a hilarious duo. they're SO funny.#they complement each other well and are both quick & clever#esp if it's about a mutual interest (although one of them taking the lead on something else like nate and music while the other plays off t#em is also good) but like#please i just had the iamge of them basically doing a bit where they're like. those mean old gay muppets in the theater?#like trent and nate improv duoing as some bitchy reviewers just going back and forth and it's so FAST and SO funny#beard records it and posts it somewhere and it goes viral.#god don't even get me started on the idea of some sort of official richmond social media/the gang posting random clips on social media#bc the ideas i have are so funny.#also largely trent centric but what do you want from me okay i'm just a little slut.

I may have spent more money than I made at Regionals.

Eventually.#Casually draws Koro-Sensei cosplaying Volo#I was actually going to have him cosplay Cynthia but no. I think he'd like Volo#I never played that game but he has the Vibe of a Koro-Sensei fave#I bought this Pichu and was immediately stopped by this girl at one of the tables 'Congrats on the Giant Pichu'#To which I held him above my head and half yelled 'BEEG BABIE'#And then we said the word Gay at eachother back and forth maybe six times (I was wearing my home made rainbow shoes)#So yeah. Good times.
