Before my BF left he stole some of the following: - Both size 'target balls' we use for a majority of cranes if the prize is too big/heavy for the claw - A working barely used 4k Camera - A whole ass anime figure of Swimsuit Nico Robin we've had as a crane prize And - A sparkling, red orb used as an extra for one of the new arcade games we had.

There's more to the list but these are the top ones I rmbr.

Me personally I have stole a handful of prize room stuff and stuff from our 'chibi' claw machines for mostly my friends rather than me but.

Also both him and I have stole some coin pusher cards to make a full deck INCLUDING the rare, which I swiped, so in the future I can get basically 5k tickets for free. LMFAO

Here’s my take on the whole audio books vs. reading:

Oral tradition of storytelling predates written ones by millennias, and honestly, which one you like is just a personal preference.

The actual difference is

when listening, you have no idea how to write characters’ names

when reading, you have no idea how to pronounce characters’ names

You know what I really hate about this AI art stuff? It would have been really nice to use for purely personal use if I didn't have a 'I must vomit' reaction to it now.

Say I'm playing Dnd with my friends and I have zero artistic talent and 100% no money. There is absolutely no way on the planet I would spend a single dollar on a real artist making my character.

It would be great to feel like I could go to an AI site and have it make me my character that I could have for my game and show my in real life friends and I would never put it anywhere on the internet.

But I can't fucking do that because it's so fucking unethical and so damn evil that I will go without instead.

They could have made AI programs that only learned from people and companies that had given permission for their use, but instead they stole it and mutilated the heart and soul that someone put into it.

I would love so much to buy an AI program that comes with say a thousand imagines that they paid artists to make and the AI uses only those pics to make your AI imagine.

Artist could be like 'Hey I've made a new pack to put in your AI program if you would like to make your own characters using my work you can download it here!'

It could be a new thing people put on their patrons. Everyone could make a little money from it.

I'll never pay an artist to make my OC, but if I saved up I could treat myself every few years to a new artist pack that would let me make 100s of new OCs with AI based on the work that an artist approved and chose to sell me.

The people that made AI are the one that decide how to get their work and it did not have to be this morally repulsive garbage.

Even it if's just for you and you never pay money for it and you won't put it on the internet it's still hurting the person this was stolen from emotionally.

Art is part of our soul. This is a tragedy.

No shade to OP as a person but believe me, this is a sign that something is DEEPLY fucking broken. Like they announced ONE new IP out of like eight films. I genuinely think within the decade they're just gonna stop making original films all together. That's what they learned from Elemental and Wish, just don't make anything new if you can help it.

Like they've unironically turned into what people pretend Dreamworks is, a sequel mill. The real downside is that Dreamworks actually knows how to make a good sequel, Disney never really figured that one out, bar a couple of outliers, and I have no faith in them pulling any of these off. Absolutely soul-crushingly pathetic. Thank god other animation studios exist.
