Anyways here's my reasonings 🥺❤️

Antasma

To me, Antasma's last place, not because he's a bad antagonist, but simply because he's "just okay", when compared to the others- He isn't all too intimidating, usually giving Bowser the spotlight instead. It's cool having a villain do that, but it also impacts my super cool and official ranking :(((((

He's like... A wet towel... He's cool! But still a wet towel... 😔

Princess Shroob

Princess Shroob is fifth place, but honestly, she's still amazing in my opinion... She's incredibly intimidating, but falls a bit flat on the comedy aspect- There's also a language barrier between her and the player, which makes connecting with the character harder... Still a great villain, there's just not THAT much to her 😩

Zokket

Zokket is really cool... He's really intimidating, has some funny moments with the Extention Corps, and his lore makes him really interesting! The only reason he's not above Cackletta to me, is because the moment Reclusa enters the game, you completely forget about him... Would he have been the only villain of his game, he would've easily made third place 👁️👁️‼️

Wooo omg my favorite 😳😃😍

Cackletta is really cool because she's both intimidating and entertaining- For the first half of the game she's just several steps ahead all the time and that's really nice... Her not giving up after Woohoo Hooniversity and fusing with Bowser is a really cool twist too! The only thing she's missing is some character development, if you don't count her slowly turning completely hysteric 🥺

She's a tad bit boring compared to other antagonists, but makes up for it because she's just really memorable and you always see her as an actual theat

Reclusa

Omg Reclusa... he's so cool...

He is a GREAT villain. He's so incredibly chaotic and intimidating... He's entertaining and dear god is he threatening. I actually think he's more intimidating than Fawful in BIS, and that says a lot...

He's overly confident, which really works in his favor- while Fawful sees Mario and Luigi as an actual threat who he tries to keep at bay via trapping them inside Bowser, Reclusa likes to play with his food before he eats it. He sees himself as an unstoppable god and really sells his role

The man, the myth, the legend

I actually think that Fawful and Reclusa are relatively similar as antagonists? They're both very threatening, very confident, and incredibly memorable. I actually think that Fawful loses some of his intimidation factor due to him being a bit more comedic than Reclusa!

But what makes him the best written villain in the series for me personally, is that he's the only one with a story stretching through several games... He has the most character development out of any of the antagonists, and it's so cool seeing him go from the silly henchmen to the main villain, getting more confident in the process. He captures that "mad scientist vibe" perfectly, and at least to me, he's also the most realistic antagonist in the series. He's stressed, he's anxious, he wants his revenge...

It's nice following his development and seeing him turn into this incredible example of a villain 👏👏👏👏

Sun In 8th House / (can be applied to Sun/Pluto aspects or Sun in Scorpio)

The sun represents our individuality, self expression, ego, and will. It shines a light wherever it is in the birth chart. The house/sign that it's in gets illuminated and put on display for ourselves and others, it shines very brightly and can be tightly wound to the way we express ourselves and/or are perceived by others.

This can be a struggle when in the 8th house because it is where we keep our secrets and want to retain a sense of privacy and secrecy. It's the most vulnerable and intimate parts of us that we prefer to keep to ourselves or people we trust deeply and unconditionally. It's the part of ourselves that undergoes the raw experience of death, transformation, and rebirth. when the sun is here, it acts like a giant, bright, beaming light onto this close and raw part of our chart that many people are able to keep hidden. think of it like a spotlight that gets shown onto the raw parts of you for the entire world to see. These people often have their secrets and private life exposed no matter how they try to avoid it. people seem to feel entitled to always be in their business and give unsolicited advice, judgements, and opinions to them. especially if the native is a woman, a lot of people can have opinions on her sexuality. she can be seen as provocative or at the least just a whole lot of people "know" things about her sex life (a rumor about body count, a bad/good sex story, nudes being leaked [if in pisces or aspected to neptune], sexuality on display in an almost unavoidable way). Some of this judgement can be casted on by her father as the sun is the "father" in astrology.

However, as the light (sun) shines brightly for the world to see, this includes the native as well. people with this placement have a remarkable gift of self transformation and metamorphosis. They are often aware of the deepest and darkest parts of themselves at a degree not many people are and have a great drive and determination to become the most evolved version of themselves constantly. This awareness sometimes comes without choice, and if they try to avoid it or ignore it it can fester into an inflated ego or power issues. this only comes when the native blocks the transformation journey their soul is destined to take. They are destined to be born, die, and then be reborn many many times in this single lifetime. They take their own self discovery very seriously and unraveling the mysteries of the self tend to be their main objective in this lifetime. These people are the kinds of people who you stop talking to then a year later they are a completely different version of themselves. it is almost impossible for these people to remain the same, as their entire will to life is to change!

This self awareness can manifest into a keen awareness of the darkness that exists in others. While most people project onto them or try to weasel their way into this natives business, this projection only aids the native in the ability to read them like a book (once the native learns that the perception people have of others comes from how they see themselves). Once they unlock the ability to detach from other peoples perceptions, they gain the ability to turn the "spotlight" back around and see people clearly. They can see peoples darkest secrets, deep insecurities, projections, and denial through their own lack of introspection. For a lot of people, it can take years to begin detangling the web of the 8th house, but the sun can be a blessing in disguise here as these natives have no other choice but to unravel it all.

I love Scandal in the Spotlight. Goes without saying. The guys have been my little safe space since I was a teenager. They're well-written and unique, and the story setting is fun. They make you laugh and cry and their bond with each other is one of my favorite things. This is established.

However.

Genuinely some of the CGs suck. This is coming from someone who is head over heels obsessed with the game. I'm sorry some of the artwork for the CGs leave much to be desired.

So.

For the heck of it, l'm gonna rate some CGs based on whether I think it looks realistically proportionate and we're gonna do this one guy at a time :)

The lucky boy today is: Kyohei Rikudoh Mr. Producer man himself and my personal favorite 😊

I have a set of about nine CGs of Kyohei’s that I will rate, based solely on personal bias and opinion. Let us begin :)

Starting off with a classic one from his main story, we give this one a 9/10. Proportionately it’s well done. It’s charged with personality. We love it.

What is this? Why is this? It just… no. Doesn’t really look like him, the proportions are off and it bothers me. 4/10.

Yes, oh my god. The intensity, the drama, that jawline 😍 we love it. 8/10.

Okay this one is good. It’s at an odd angle but it’s a decent look in spite. 6/10

This one, LOVE this one. The fervent look on his face and his domineering attitude is 😚🤌🏻. Omg and the hair 🥰 yes, we love. 8/10.

Okay I like this one but, it’s like we changed art styles all of a sudden. Like it looks like him but in an alternate art style universe. 6/10.

This one is one of my most favorite ever. It’s so accurately him it scratches an itch in my brain. Like this is Kyohei in a snapshot. His expression is fond and kinda tender but slightly teasing, lol just like him. I love this one. 12/10.

I hate this one with a burning passion for literally no reason whatsoever. -2/10

This one might be my favorite one ever. Kyohei’s stories pull on my heart strings so hard and this CG encompasses everything that pulls me in. Just LOOK AT IT. Omg. He literally carries around so much, more than the others in a lot of ways, and for a moment you can see it in his eyes and I just— 🥺😭 100/10.

no, i dont think hes irreedeemable. i dont really think anyones irreedmable ?? i think hes definitely done bad things, but you also have to take in count his situation, his trauma, and mentality/mental health/state of mind. this of course doesnt discount all the shit hes done-- but no i dont think hes irreedeemable. also, his ending i think was done very well as he's currently on the tough road to recovery- and thats the best end you could ever give a character like him.

2. would the story be better if he literally wasn't in it?

wh- what ?? the story is about him. in the end, hes the main character and the storys about his turmoil and past and character growth. there is other stuff with spectre and ember that doesnt directly involve him, but the story surrounds him. i think i definitely prefer other characters over him just as a personal bias and id love to see a side story with them, still, its johns story. it wouldnt be the same without him. also, without him, so many people would be different. seraphina would still be stuck in the endless spiral of dissatisfaction, and characters like remi, blyke, and isen mightve never questionned their moral compasses + the hierachy.

3. who would you have take the spotlight if he was gone?

again, i dont think the story would be better/the same without him. theres no one id want to take his place, but out of personal bias- probably isen LMAO. hes just so skrunkly 🥺🥺

4. would anything he do change your mind on the character or no?

i dont really understand this question ?? of course my opinions on him will change as he grows and develops !! itd be strange for my opinion on him to stay static. i think that what i think of a character can always be swayed based on canon developments with the character + other people opinions. anything he does will change the way i see john, whether negatively or positively

5. do you dread all of his current and future arcs or do you have hope ?

i dont think i necessarily "dread" them. personally, i look forward seeing how he grows and develops, and im curious how uru will write him. i think im a bit uncertain with how uru will treat him just because of how characters/archetypes such as he are usually treated, but so far imo uruchans done a very well job of handling him. i definitely have hope for him in the future-- i dont think ill ever 100% forgive him to what he did to my blorbos but im still looking forward to his character development and growth !!

6. do you think his redemption is bs ? is so, why ?

okay i definitely dont think its bs. i think his redemption was very well executed and realistic !! i do believe he can get better and that he can redeem himself in some ways, but his actions are his actions, if that makes sense. i like that not everyone has to forgive him, and not everyone will. i think that yeah he did shit things, but that doesnt mean he cant improve from there. redemption really is just an improvement and an acknowledgement of your wrongs, i suppose.
