After leaving, dick tells rose not to mention Sophia to Slade because she’s an innocent that doesn’t deserve to be used and part of his private life. really sad. Jim passed away suddenly today. :( i was playing with my bettas this morning and found Jim floating by her log, it looked like she was sleeping but when i nudged the log she floated to the bottom, already gone. she was my youngest betta and by far the most active so this is a real gut punch.

when i studied her body i saw that her left side curves out drastically more than the right. i always noticed this about her and worried it was a tumor, but she acted normal and happy so i let it go. some white started to show up on her belly and i assumed marbling since she's a koi. now i suspect it was a tumor that kept growing and took her out suddenly.

I've just had such a streak of bad luck with new bettas but she was the most special. i got her with a terrible case of ich and nursed her into a gorgeous, silly fish. I'm happy she went suddenly with no decline but I'm so discouraged and sad. it's like my 4th betta slot is cursed. I'll really miss her..
