Ghost Law
Tumblr media
It was many years ago, you didn't even remember exactly when you and Law met. You came from an island where there was a now-extinct city whose inhabitants had a unique ability. They could turn into ghosts, possess people and even cure them.
For reasons unknown, the world government decided to exterminate them. All they told the world was that the ghost town was a threat to the entire world and therefore the entire town was condemned to death. That was the official message to the people. What no one knew was that not everyone was killed, but the lucky ones who survived the attack on the city were captured and subjected to experiments.
You only heard about the planned attack from your grandmother at the time, who wanted you to stay away from the place so that you wouldn't accidentally get hurt.
You didn't remember why, maybe it was your nature, but you didn't stay home despite the warnings. You knew the neighbourhood and the nearby forest like the back of your hand, and that was also where you first met him. He was pale as death and looked like he was going to collapse at any moment.
"Are you all right?" You asked, going to prop him up when he did something that caught you off guard. He took a step towards you and it looked like his knees buckled. He was falling on you, but he never hit you. Instead, he passed through you and disappeared into your body.
For a moment, you just stood there like you were scalded, not knowing what to do. Finally, you decided to go back home as quickly as possible, but you didn't tell your grandmother about the boy who disappeared into your body.
Three days later, Law came back to you. You were eating lunch when you heard his voice in your mind.
"Can you skip the bread?" his voice echoed in your head as you tried to take a bite of bread.
"What?" You asked, placing the slice of bread back on your plate.
"Don't eat the bread. I... don't like it," his voice echoed in your head again and you understood him even though he mumbled the last words.
"Who are you anyway?" you asked, pushing the plate of bread to the side so he could see that you had complied.
He then introduced himself to you as Law. He told you what he was doing in the woods, that he was actually running away. He had been hiding alone in the woods for days, and by the time you ran into him, he was almost on the verge of death. He was exhausted, starving and slowly losing his energy and was in danger of simply evaporating.
He then asked you if he could stay in your body until things calmed down and he regained his strength. He also added that it wouldn't be for free, as he would be able to cure you of everything because of it.
However, a few days turned into weeks and months and you became so used to his presence that you could no longer imagine life without him. And so did Law. You were the perfect host for him, and you were also his best friend and, in time, something more.
Maybe it was because he spent the most time in your body when he could. He knew your every curve and sometimes allowed himself to see inside your mind.
There were times when you let him possess you completely when he had perfect control over your body.
For example, when you visited other places, but that left you mostly in charge. Only on rare occasions in an emergency or when there was something he was really interested in.
Law had his own room in which to study and even his own bed, but after all that time when he was in your body as a child, he preferred to rest in your body even now.
Law liked it best when he could completely possess your body, soak in the hot water in the tub and bathe with your body.
Plus, when Law possessed your body or was just hiding in it, he was able to see into your mind and memories. But he only tapped into the memories that were about you two. He was respectful of your privacy, even if there wasn't much of it.
For example, when you were asleep, he liked to go over memories of your first date, or what you did together, or similar things.
Plus, when Law was in your body, he was healing you, but he was also drawing energy from you. It made you hungry more often, and especially when he was in your body, you were able to eat a much larger portion than normal. You felt like your stomach was almost constantly growling when you had him inside you.
Plus, you had no idea why, but Law liked the food in your body so much better. He liked to enjoy his favourite foods through you.
You were able to turn that against him. When he pissed you off and he was in your body, you'd just eat bread. You didn't mind the bread, and you liked it every which way.
This was something he hadn't expected and didn't even know about Law. It all started as a simple headache, but it didn't subside and instead slowly and surely got worse.
The ghost didn't deal with it at first and went to work in his study on other plans. However, the headache worsened and eventually, at your request, he decided to rest in your body for a while.
And although he was greatly relieved in your body, the headache did not subside. But it was subsiding enough for him to function normally.
Law left your body and was about to get back to work when you stopped him. Eventually, instead of working, you had a nice evening to yourself.
It started with a nice dinner and a movie, but it ended up with you in bed together. You thought you knew everything about him, but this caught him off guard.
During lovemaking, his headache came back and much more intense. He thought his head was going to explode. He even saw double.
Even you didn't expect what happened. In the blink of an eye, Law split in two. The original Law was bent over you, and the others were beside him.
Law had the same look of surprise on his face as you. Both of you looked at the other, who just cringed and evaporated like a ghost.
It was a strange experience for both of you, but since the other Law had evaporated and you couldn't find him anywhere, you didn't bother.
It wasn't until a few days later that you found out what happened to the other Law. The original ghost wanted to rest, and there was no better place to do it than your body. But when he possessed you, he was in for a surprise. Inside your body was the other one.
Only later in time did you discover that the two could change at any time and split into two again. They were almost identical except for a small detail that surprisingly affected you. The original Law had grey eyes while the other had golden eyes. In addition, the golden-eyed Law was surprisingly more playful, more perverse than the original and slightly mischievous.
Gold-Eyed Law didn't make himself known very often, only occasionally when the time was right. He spent most of his time idly inside your body, keeping an eye on you in case the original Law couldn't.
It wasn't until later that you noticed that when one or both of the ghosts possessed you, your eyes coloured to match. When one of them possessed you, you had one eye of your original colour and one of his. And when you were possessed by both of them, your original eye colour disappeared and instead you had one eye grey and the other gold.

DP HC - The Right to Retribution
This is based on the idea that an ecto-formic ghost's killer continuing to live & commit crimes is deeply traumatizing to the ghost in question.
As such, most civilized ghost societies have a law called the Right of Retribution where a ghost is allowed to do whatever they deem necessary in order to stop their killer, even if that means killing them.
It is even considered an inalienable right in a lot of places.
It's completely possible for a ghost to move on without doing this of course, but it makes it very difficult for a ghost to get to a place, psychologically, where they can do so.
It's similar to how a ghost can move on from not having a grave, but it's difficult on a personal, emotional, & psychological level.
For more on ghost psychology, go here:
& here:
I was so sure that I'd already made a post on this before or a reboot with it or something & that there was something about this mentioned in a DPxDC post regarding Jason Tood & him having been killed by the Joker, but I can't find either of them anywhere! If you know where they are, please tell me?
---
What I find interesting is that Vlad could logically make an argument that he has every right to kill Jack as he was the one responsible for his death.
The problem comes when you realize that Jack had never intended to kill Vlad. Which is key. Because in several ghostly civilizations, malicious intent is necessary for it to actually be declared retribution. As such, in societies where retribution must be justified, there is often an investigation to determine whether it is or not. Not just to figure out if the individual actually murdered said ghost, but in some, to also uncover whether or not the individual has changed & are legitimately trying to make amends.
Like, there are ectomantic spells that only the best & most magically skilled of Retributive Investigators have, that allows them to go to a place where something happened, use a bit of a ghost's ecto & a piece of the accused murderer, & it'll create an illusion of what all happened in an area & it's just one part of their job to search through the provided scenes. Upon locating said scene, they must examine it thoroughly with a fine-toothed comb. Literally, it's a magically imbued comb that allows the investogator to focus in on a fuzzy area of the illusion by combing through the fuzziness.
If it's possible that there might be someone else involved, it is their duty to locate their DNA & use that to create an even fuller picture.
When the correct & fullest version of the scenes are found, they can then be bottled to show to a committee who will end up being the ones to vote & decide whether a kill is justified.
Of course, even with such magic, it's still possible for corrupt investigators or anyone knowledgeable enough on how the magic works, to tamper with the bottles & edit the scenes inside.
Interestingly, there is no clearance needed for a ghost simply looking to help the living police to catch their killer. So long as they remain invisible & only draw the police's attention to the truth, then no ghostly lawmakers would have a problem. But things like killing or crippling do require clearance.
So, it's possible that either Vlad doesn't know that it was an accident, doesn't believe it was an accident, or he forged evidence to make it look like it was murder & it'd only take a cursory look to see that Jack has some pretty damn speciesist ideas of ghosts.
I can see him rubbing the fact that he has clearance to murder Jack in Danny's face as he could technically argue that Danny is trying to obstruct his right to enact retributive measures upon the man who killed him & depending on the laws pertaining to the area in the IR that corresponds with where Vlad's initial accident took place/where he died/where he intends to kill Jack, it's entirely possible that Jack's death wouldn't need to be justified, just proven that he was responsible at least in part.
This could lead to Danny becoming wanted by ghost law in-general & not just by Walker. As there's a difference between rules made by a ghost who's Obsession is with rules as a ghost is able to inforce said rules to a degree within their own territory; & actual laws that ghostly societies have as being documented laws.
---
At the same time, the investigation would be for the right to deliver justice upon the accused. They're trying to figure out if it'd be legal for Vlad to want Jack dead.
If so, then it means that they can't stop Vlad from killing Jack himself or from asking someone else to do it for him.
They're not gonna execute Jack themselves as that's not the purpose of the law. That would only happen if it was discovered during said investigation that Jack was a threat to ghosts as a whole & that he's committed crimes against ghosts who were ghosts at the time of said crime.
That would be when the Observants would get involved because then it's no longer just a question of Vlad's right to retribution, but the safety of ghosts in-general.
Generally, ghostly politics don't get directly involved with living matters unless it concerns ghostly society as a whole.
The investigation is just to confirm whether Jack was responsible for Vlad's death &, depending on the laws of the area in the IR that is most applicable (area corresponding to the place where the crime that resulted in Vlad's death was committed, area corresponding to where Vlad actually died, area corresponding to where Vlad plans to kill him, ect), whether or not killing Jack would be justified, further depending on whether or not he's killed someone again since.
This would all just allow clearance for Vlad to do so should he choose. It is entirely within his rights to instead decide to just have Jack arrested in the living realms or even crippled to the point where he can never hurt anyone again. Not that Vlad would choose those routes, but the fact is that he'd have those options & it'd be perfectly legal. In such a case as simply sending the man to jail, the investigation would only need to prove that Jack was responsible & possibly that there was a danger for it happening again. Not whether it was justified.
So, yes; legally, both Maddie & Sam would be subject to this as well, but Sam's part would only come up in an investigation for Danny specifically & we both know that he'd never ask for such an investigation as he doesn't blame anyone but himself for his death. Which is also completely within his right to retribution as well.
The same could also be said of Maddie in the cases of both Vlad & Danny, who was, in fact, partially responsible as well.
Jack, though, would be ska-rewed as he was also somewhat responsible for Danny's death even if it wasn't intentional.
It's also important to note that serial negligence is also a factor in these cases. Normally, Jack & Maddie could've been pardoned in some areas of the IR since the first time was an accident. Until it's discovered that it happened again, to their own son, at which point, even though that time was also an accident, it qualifies as criminally negligent homicide & it could feasibly be argued that they are liable to commit said crime in negligence again.
At the same time, if Vlad gets clearance to kill Jack, he'll also get clearance to kill Maddie too, which could end up blindsiding him as it's unknown whether he knew that Maddie was partially responsible for his death or if he was trying to deny that to himself. This might force him to confront said truth.
For all we know, it could utterly change his plans & it's undetermined as to how.
So, yes! There is a lot of factors that go into this sort of thing & it can be a headache!
Then, there are cases where a ghost's killer had died & became an ecto-formic ghost themselves. Or even if a ghost killed a human without just cause.
In such situations, it can become an entire court case. Though, the ability to call upon the victim does tend to expedite things a bit provided they remain truthful.
There's still an investigation though, as all angles are supposed to be explored to uncover the whole truth of the situation in case either party isn't saying something, forgot something, or simply doesn't know something.
If it's determined that the death was done maliciously or in negligence & it's liable to happen again or had happened before, then depending on what the victim wants to happen & what they are given clearance for, the victim can have their killer jailed, an ectomantic spell cast to have their killer artificially experience the very death that they brought upon the victim, however depending on the laws in place for the corresponding area of death, the victim is either allowed to obliterate the killer with their own hands or they can be entirely barred from doing so. Again depending on the relevant laws in place.
Most civilized ghost societies actually don't allow the victims to do as such & will instead jail the murderer if the victim wishes their existence ceased, then said murderer will be put on end row (the ghost equivalent to death row), but it is still important to establish that some societies do allow the victim to do it themselves.
It's also possible, that if the victim is actually given clearance to kill their murderer, if they don't have the stomach to perform the job, they can then request someone else do the deed, whether it be performed as part of end row or an outright assassination. If they are given that clearance, then neither the judicial system of the IR nor anyone else would have any right to interfere. Sure, someone is more than allowed to change the victim's mind, but they can't outright interfere.
However, there is definitely a different precedence when it comes to ghost on ghost forced cessation (called ectocide) which is treated much more strictly. It is generally conducted much more similarly to living world court.
In the case of Plasmius vs Phantom, Ellie specifically, practically an entirely new precedence would need to be created as not only are both halfas, but in my hc, Vlad did technically kill her, if just briefly, even though she was already half-ghost herself at the time. While one could compare her situation to having been resuscitated after being killed, to Ghosts, if all your bodily functions cease, even temporarily, then you died, if only briefly. As, you see, death leaves a sort of residue that ghosts can sense.
Vlad could easily get charged with outright murder (which would mean that he'd also be charged with attempted murder because, logically, if you managed to kill someone intentionally, then at some point you had attempted to kill them).
Because the case would be so complicated, it would require a lot of investigation, which would turn up the fact that Vlad had stolen Danny's dna, created Ellie via cloning without the boy's expressed permission, had used her, then when she refused to put herself & Danny in danger, he turned on her, chased her all over the world, & eventually melted her down resulting in a temporary cessation of all bodily functions.
That's not even getting into the fact that Elle qualifies as a baby ghost & thus is considered very precious in ghostly society.
In this case, it'd be something of a mix of ectocide & right of retribution.
By ghost law, even if someone is resuscitated, if they were medically considered dead for any amount of time, then it is still considered murder to them. The reason being that, in ghost terms, even a medically temporary cessation of life gives one a certain, albeit small, connection to death. A residue as mentioned before. And the longer that one is dead, the larger that connection will steadily become.
Even though in human terms, true death is only a thing if the person never comes back, ghosts know that there is more to it than that.
In this case, halfas are beings who die, develop a core, then are revived with that core still inside them, thus making them both alive & ghosts. In order to become a ghost & form a core, you have to have truly died. Cessation may have been temporary, but death is still death.
Which is another important thing here, the acknowledgement that a cessation took place & one's own part in it. In the case of Plasmius VS Fenton. This would very explicitly come up as not only would the Drs. Fenton be forced to acknowledge the fact that their negligence killed their son, but Danny would also be forced to acknowledge it as well. It wouldn't matter if he refused to enact his right upon them, facts are facts & the facts are that his parent's obsession killed him. And it'd be a hard pill to swallow.
---
Furthermore, during the investigation of Jack, it is very highly likely that the case would be brought to a higher court due to the danger that both he & Maddie are to ghostly society because of their ectocidal tendencies.
Because of this & the fact that they directly hunt/torture ghosts, there'd be no need to try & hide, & instead the pair would both be taken in & tried in the high court.
While they'd likely think it was all rediculous, it'd become quickly apparent that ghosts had a full & in-tact judicial system.
Both Danny & Vlad would be required to appear in court & testify under a Pheonix Song Oath to tell the truth.
It'd surprise both Vlad & Danny very deeply. Vlad due to Maddie being tried too & Danny because, despite what he keeps telling himself, when the truth of what happened comes pouring from his lips & deep inside, he knows that none of it was a lie.
Then, the confusion & horror on both of the parents' faces when Vlad & Danny are forced to reveal their secrets to the pair.
The 2 would react very differently. Maddie in abject denial & Jack with horror bordering on sickness as everything comes crashing down around him.
---
It's also important to note that sane & insane means little to nothing in ghost law, especially in the face of actions.
The biggest issue holding most cases back is time. Remember, the Realms are literally infinite & there are only so many Retributive Investigators & committees to go around. So, it can take time to get through them all. Cases related to serial killers & mass murderers tend to get handled the quickest as the many victims tend to gather together & make sort of petitions. The more victims, the more attention it draws & the more committees will notice.
So, if Jason Todd had become a ghost during his brief time dead, he & other Joker victims could've signed up for Retributive Measures & the high profile would've pushed the case through & gotten it investigated incredibly quickly. The investigators wouldn't have even needed to try too hard, Jokers crimes, mass murdering tendencies, disregard for life, his unapology, his wanton destruction, it would've insured a very rapid, very decisive guilty verdict.
Therefore, every victim would've been given full clearance to do whatever they saw as being just. The problem? Batman prevents their success at every turn.
Like, it'd be one thing if Arkham actually kept the bastard there & treated him. But they don't. Arkham is practically a revolving door for the criminally insane. Which, among retributive committees would disqualify it as a proper place to keep the Joker. Hell, it'd even be one thing if the Joker was actually effing receptive to help, but he isn't. And if there's one thing that such old committee members know from direct experience, it's where to spot someone who will never change because they don't want to. Not to mention how to identify a sane person who's just grifting in order to keep from ending up in actual jail & off death row.
Every instance in which Joker has come close to dying or even outright died? At least one of his victims were behind it.
Thing is, if Jason were to ever remember this, if he could get his hands on proof of his death from both living realm & Infinite Realms, thus proving his Infinite Realms Citizenship, register Gotham as his official haunt & even lair with the Spirit of Gotham's support, as well as an official copy of his Legal Clearance for Retributive Measures (LCRM), he could prove that he has a legal right to kill Joker & by Batman trying to stop him it makes him liable to at least a hundred years jail time in the Ghost Zone for interfering with a ghost's right to seek peace & recover mental health.
Making it clear that ghosts don't possess the same psychological structure as humans. For one, a ghost's mental state is directly connected with their physical state. That while revenge does corrupt ghosts much like it does humans, retribution does not because it is fueled by righteous fury & justified anger. By not allowing Jason to fulfill his need for retribution, he is causing many of Joker's victims to spiral ever deeper into mental & medical torment as a ghost's killer is a highly traumatic subject for them. That the killer's continued ability to keep performing such acts causes their victims ghosts to suffer more in a physical manner.
That since Jason is an Ecto-Liminal whose experienced death & thus part of both the Living & Infinite Realms at once, that means that he is allowed to take retribution directly & without restraint.
That because Gotham herself has given him permission to call Gotham his official haunt, that means that the laws of the Infinite Realms extends here & with just a few negotiations between the mayor of Gotham & the Beating-Heart Boyking, Jason will be given temporary leave of humanity so that human law will not apply to him so long as the Joker remained alive. And until that fucker is dead for good, it'll be clown season & nothing Bruce does would be able to stop him.
Either way, when a ghost's killer is dealt with, the ghost word for it roughly translates to "freeing."

Danny is dead, which manifests as a ghost which falls under the anti ecto acts. Classified the same as insects, less rights then a corpse or a gun. Thing is, he discovered he’s also a meta. Sure, it wasn’t anything grand or amazing or something. His meta power was literally seeing through clouds if he wanted to. Which, is awesome, yay for star gazing and on misty morning drives he’s Jazz’s go to copilot but other then that? Not really much use (he’s not counting the times he was able to spot enemies hiding in cloud coverage or trying to use smoke machines).
However, now as he was visiting metropolis, the GIW had found him. Great? No.
So as Superman (who was told by official government agents that he was a dangerous criminal despite looking like a toddler in his eyes) grabbed him, agents in white creeping up on the sides, he said the first thing coming to mind. “I’m a meta, you can’t do shit to me.”
He snarled it to the GIW of course but now they’re kinda stumped at that reaction and if that would effect the anti ecto laws. Superman just thinks he has a self righteous, stuck up little prick in his hands.
Misunderstandings ensue.

The only one who is unbothered by this change is Walker. It doesn’t matter WHAT Danny is doing. If he’s not serving his thousand years then Walker is unsatisfied.
It ends with Vlad and Walker hashing it out(violently) over juristiction and boundaries. Danny, as a member of the living is out of Walker’s reach. Vlad as de facto human mediator, ain’t recognizing Walker’s bullshit warrant to expedite Danny to ghost court (or Walker’s ghost court anyway)the observants end up getting involved and it becomes the biggest legal case in centuries
Danny Phantom Writing Prompt: The Lack of a Hero Complex
Once Danny publicly shames Vlad into returning the status quo of Amity Park, Danny also stops ghost fighting.
The Human Trio and Vlad confront Danny about his lack of action. The Human Trio finally gets a taste of the sleep deprivation Danny experienced when he didn't want to burden them from their schedules while the property damage continued to tarnish Vlad's public reputation. Danny just laughs.
Sam, completely livid at the lack of reaction: Who’s going to protect the town, Danny?
Danny gets up from the couch and looks directly into Vlad's eyes: Yeah, Vlad, how do you plan on protecting your town?
Danny lightly chuckles while he goes down to the lab where the Fenton Parents were working. He was just gonna play on the family computer while his Dad would boast about their latest idea.
The human trio:

Vlad:

When the ghosts who come to directly harass Danny, he decides he just needs to be completely honest with each of them.
Danny: Listen, I'll admit I kinda had fun with the bantering, but I want to focus on better things now. I was never really interested in any of you.
The Ghosts:
Tumblr media
The results?
Vlad has to set up legit ghost detectors all over the city and properly hire the Fentons for protection. Vlad hoped that the hiring would gain him favor from Maddie, but he finally got to see how she really was compared to his idealized version. Their constant public damages made Vlad's reputation even more tarnished, and their lack of change despite him personally talking to them about it makes him grow equal resentment towards both of them. It gets to the point where Vlad just sets up the same ecto repellent he uses to keep ghosts from escaping his portal back in Winsconsin. The extra paperwork he has to do now governing is not worth the mess he caused. Political power wasn't as worth it as he thought it would be.
The Human Trio gave Danny the cold shoulder for a while, but that just gave him some well needed alone time to raise his grades. He even finally got to join the astronomy club like he planned before the portal accident. They were a very chill group and welcomed him to sit with them at lunch, so he was never alone. Dash tried to start their usual routine, but that was immediately hauled by the club leader.
Dash wasn't clever enough to figure out how to respond to being called 'Pussy Lips' by a girl, so he just kinda sulked away.
Dash will say the occasional snarky comment, but he never bring himself to get too close to Danny after a club member told Danny to tell Dash and the other football players they could take turns sucking him off after their club meeting. Dash just wasn't clever enough to get things back to normal.
Though the club members weren't A-listers, they weren't at the bottom, so Danny social life became better.
The Human Trio tried to continue on like before, but they were soon caught ghost hunting by the Fentons. There was no punishment, just overactive excitement, seeing they were finally interested in Ghost Hunting. Now, having to join the Fentons whenever there was a ghost detected, the fun of it is zapped away for them, making the tiredness not worth it anymore. The three eventually apologized to Danny, which he accepts, and the group finally accepts the new changes.
There are many things that can upset a ghost, but the universal act that can anger any core is being ignored. Even with the ecto repellent, the stronger ghosts manage to get through and try to get Danny's attention. The boy always just texts Vlad about how he sucks at his job and to take care of the disruption. The ghost eventually pick up that their violent outburst aren't working, so it gets to the point that they try to get his attention another way.
They tried to coax him with things they believed he liked. It is comparable to how Hyper Cat-lovers try to get a shy cat to love them.
Lunch Lady offers him a freshly made meal when he's low on money one day. He thanks her but says he had a big breakfast.
Ember tries to act like their best friends in front of the A-listers, so Danny will become more popular at school. He greets her but continues on his stroll like she was a typical citizen.
Technus offers to give Danny the answer key to all the tests for his classes, but he denies this offer instantly. He'll never cheat on a test ever again.
It got to the point that Skulker said he would drop the promise of getting Danny's pelt if he just let him see his ghostly form. Creeped out, Danny just backed away. He was thankful Valerie was close by.
Box Ghost actually got somewhere when he offered a three-dimensional solar system model. It was in a box he had, so Box Ghost offered it to Danny. He accepted it as the one in the club was showing its age.
This seemed to make these random ghost visits even more frequent. Danny guessed Box Ghost bragged about his 'accomplishment'.
Basically, the ghosts' obsession to defeat Danny changes to them wanting his attention. Vlad’s obsession becomes solely focused on Danny as he just finds Maddie and Jack so annoying now. Like, Vlad just wants to get custody of Danny and get the hell out of Amity Park. He doesn't even want to kill the Fentons now out of fear that they will become ghosts.
After the Ember incident, the A-listers kept trying to buddy up to him. However, Danny learned how they really were, so he just treated them the way he treated ghosts. Now, it seemed they were just as desperate.
Danny will turn into Phantom only when it's necessary, that or he's in the mood to fly. The downside to this change is that whenever he does change, he always has an entourage of attention-starved ghosts following behind him. He can't even imagine how things would be if he went to the Ghost Zone.

Wrong Twin Bozos 🙄
First ever DC x DP prompt because I've been getting brainrot reading yall prompts and I need a nap :> this is crac–
A classic twin Damian and Danny AU, where Danny ends up with the generic fuckery of having the GIW/Bad Parents!Fentons after him from a bad reveal gone wrong, Vlad outing him, or escaping after getting vivsected and injured badly.
Who Knows? But Danny's GOTTA GO-
Now in some scenarios, we get Danny hitting the deck and going to Gotham, to Batman and Robin aka Damian for help and revealing himself. But some au prompts I've seen of Danny ORIGINS about leaving the League of Assassins is via fake death, help or the pit, etc. Danny left for a reason that got him away with a new life- he's FUCKED if he goes to his bio dad and his twin brother, he tells himself =͟͟͞͞(꒪ᗜ꒪‧̣̥̇).
Going to Gotham aka the BatFam would blow Danny's cover, getting the attention of the League of Assassins after all this time is definitely not on Danny's to-do list. He's got enough on his plate, thank you :']
So instead, while Danny leaves Amity Park with the help of his friends, he doesn't aim for Gotham, he instead goes to hide in other cities such as Star City, Keystone City, or Central City. Honestly, doesn't even have to be a city, he straight up leaves the country if yall feel like it, guy deserves a break dammit. Can't have laws of legal torture affect you when you're in open seas ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Now cue Danny's pursuers scrambling to find the Halfa, a constant chase- that is until they finally get a photo of Danny, scowling with his green eyes, trying to hide his ghostly traits that mustve leaked through when the photo was taken in Gotham.
They begin to get ready.
It's time to capture the creature once and for all.

In the Ghost Law series, despite Law could split himself in half, this one was unexpected. One night when Law and Reader were making out in their bedroom, Law had a painful headache, causing himself to split in half. Law's other half is the same but has yellow eyes, mischievous, playful, and slightly perverted. Other Law's interested in Reader, despite being shy, sweet, and nervous. One day, Law's checking on Reader who's napping when suddenly it's revealed that she's possessed by his other half. Other Law explains he loves staying Reader's body, and made arrangements. Reader doesn't mind, she feels protected and safe. Other Law recalls that 14 years when Reader and real Law first met, poor boy was very fragile and ill. Reader let's Law be inside her body, it took about a year to heal himself.
The idea in bedroom is interesting...
But the arrangment and healing is nice and cute idea 😊

Dp x Dc AU: Tim doesn’t rest, not even in Death.
It’s a heart attack that gets him, well, that and the insane amount of fear toxin flooding his system. He was dead for a full three minutes before he watches (how was he watching?) his eldest brother get his heart going again and get his unconscious body to the cave. Alfred gets him onto bat-life support and Leslie looks gravely at his family after she’s done her best to heal him. They decide to keep trying, they don’t want to believe he’s gone.
Tim watches in fury. He’s more useful than this, he’s not just going to die and let the family mourn him! Tim sets to work trying to understand what’s happened to him and he realizes he must be a ghost. Therefore, if he wants to understand ghosts he needs to go where ghosts are, and thankfully he just read a JLD doc saying to avoid Amity Park at all costs.
It’s takes him a second to get used to flying at full speed, but he finds himself surrounded by strange people in a strange town and… he notices himself becoming more visible. He’s able to interact with more and more objects, he even picked up a pencil! Poltergeist is a step forward in his plan, Tim accepts this change of pace.
Then Tim meets Danny, a normal human kid who looks like he could be brought into the manor and given a cape, who looks straight at him.
“Wait, who are you? You didn’t die in Amity did you?”
“No, I died in Gotham. I came here to understand how I’m a ghost and how I can get back to my dying body. I just need a few answers.” Tim explains, and notices that his voice isn’t his own, like it’s a different language entirely that comes out.
“Well, uh, I dunno about going back to your body but it’s not safe for you to be here. The GIW are looking for lost souls like you that people won’t notice go missing. So get back to your family and find peace. Im sorry but that’s really the best advice I have.” Danny answers.
Tim begs him for answers on the GIW. Begs him for any answers at all. Danny shrugs him off each time, tell him that he’s just a ghost and he needs to move on before he gets hurt or becomes a problem.
Tim decides if he’s a problem, he’ll probably get more answers.
Soon enough, he’s stepping into the end of a battle where Phantom is getting Skulker into a thermos, and demands answers, and if not answers help.
They brawl, and Tim’s training as Red Robin gets him farther than a lot of ghosts. And then, when he knows he’s beat and he’s about to share thermos space with the robot jackass (who he can interrogate and then build his own robot) Tim realizes something.
“You’re still alive, aren’t you? You’re Danny, black hair and blue eyes.” Tim says and suddenly Phantom is as still as the dead despite the accusation.
“How the fuck- dude. Okay, you know what? Fine. Lets go talk, you’re clearly not giving up and I need you to never say that shit out loud ever again.”
Because blackmail works in life for Tim, blackmail also apparently works in death.
He’s given all of the info they have on the GIW, he’s introduced to ghost technology and how it works with ectoplasm. He’s told about the portal (although they refuse to sneak him into the house to see it- he can handle a few lasers, ugh) and he’s told about the general sequence of events in Danny’s life/death.
And then Tim is suddenly back in his body in Gotham.
The family found a way to bring him back and he’s 100% alive, no longer ghostly, but he retained all his memories.
“We have a war against the government to start” are not the first words his family expected to hear from Tim post death.
