Watched the latest Wallace and Gromit film and wanted to animate some patting.

So, I have some important Flowey thoughts that I want to share. 🌻

Flowey never intended for any deaths he caused to be permanent.

As soon as he started believing that he was living in a game and could just Reset if he made a mistake or didn't like something, he started to play with people's lives because nothing mattered to him anymore and he, I quote, "was bored".

I'm not excusing his murderous and soulless behavior, I'm fully aware that he's completely messed up in the head and needs intense therapy.

Also, I have a theory that he kills only to go back and Reset and bring his victims back to life is probably some how therapeutic for him because he has the power to return life.

...Something that he was never able to do for Chara, I'm certain that he may even tried to somehow hack his power to try to bring Chara back to life.

Again, I'm not excusing his behavior, but if you had been traumatized as child and then thrust into a strange body and no longer felt anymore compassion and had the power to control time...

Wouldn't you eventually do some screwed up shit too if you knew you that it wouldn't make you feel guilty and make everyone forget your crime by rewinding time?

Now lets talk about the monsters who do not have Flowey's power.

Specifically the one's who are trying to actively trying to permanently kill Frisk for their soul.

They are desperate to break the barrier to be free, so much so that they are willing to kill a child for it to help their beloved King.

It's no wonder why Flowey believes 'It's kill or be killed' at the beginning of the game, he was a child when humans attacked and fatally killed him, and then the next thing he knows, his kind peaceful father has now called on all the other monsters in the Underground to attack and kill humans to take their souls just so he would have the ability to take revenge.

Asriel/Flowey believes that everyone has an evil side and killing is the answer because that was what he was traumatized into believing.

He also believes that killing and being evil will protect him from being harmed like he was when he was kind and gentle.

He genuinely believes that kindness is weakness because that's what got him killed in the first place.

And in the Pacifist route, thanks to Frisk (and Chara) he unlearns so many terrible beliefs and realizes that literally not everyone is as horrible as he thought.

He then dawns a new way of living (my favorite quote from the game) Don't Kill and Don't Be Killed.

The Stranger Wolf grimaces.

“Neither of us is going to like this let part then. I need to remember next time he does it.”

For a moment, you see his fur and markings ripple white and gold, and briefly see a halo in the shape of a ten-spoke wheel above his head before they all disappear.

“Don’t let it get to your head,” he mutters to himself as he walks towards Flowey, “Get what you came for and don’t have an ego trip.”

Whatever he just did, it seems to have some detrimental effect on his self-control and he is trying to contain it.

He stops halfway between Flowey and River Person.

“You were looking for me?” he asks the talking flower.

River Person can only stare in awe and fascination over the Stranger Wolf, they might be throwing several compliments his way if or when he speaks to them again.

But they wisely keep silent as they watch him speak to Flowey.

Flowey seems very pissed but also very woozy, the speed and force with which the burger had hit him definitely left significant damage.

He seems to be taken off guard and very impressed by the Strange Wolf, but quickly remembers his anger and embarrassment.

Flowey: "Whoa.. hmph!...I.. yes! I...I wanted to personally meet who was responsible for killing me..... .... very few have been able to get the upper hand on me in the way you have,"

"And more importantly, WHERE DID YOU COME FROM AND WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR POWER?!"

Asriel is fluffly?

The fluffiest brother in the world (or at least after shower)

Okay so while drawing this I got some HCs that translates into details in this pic that I'm just going to ramble:

* For whatever reason, Asriel (as Flowey too) wanted to gain Chara's approval at whatever he does or say -- he seemed to regard them highly, often agreeing with them and copy the things they do (like a cat. E.g with that full glass of water thing).

Here I hinted it through Asriel asking if Chara agrees with him, plus him actually being upset at both of their behalf instead of just himself). Asriel also doesn't actually like getting hairdryed, the noise grates his ears, but he started doing so after seeing Chara doing it (again with the copying).

*Imagine the amount of fur that gets stuck at literally everything though. But now Chara's used to it, just one of them Goat Family things.

* The brush Chara is using is the same one you'd have for a furry pet. It's just more efficient this way.

* Kids wear something striped. It doesn't really need to be a shirt, so Chara here of course just wears a self-made nb flag pants.

Asriel's shirt is not green-yellow because I wanted to make the pic more... Candid? He owns more than just one kind of striped shirt yk.

* I've mentioned this but it's a fun lil HC of mine to make Asriel's locket as human soul-shaped, and Chara's as monster soul-shaped.

just curious, how did you decide on Chara's and Frisk's personalities?

asking because we got even less of a glimpse of frisk ever appearing, and chara barely any

or maybe you just pictured them like that i don't know

I wanted to do something slightly different for the two of them.

For Frisk I knew I wanted to make them overconfident in the beginning as someone who got gaslit by the player into thinking all the accomplishments they ever achieved are their doing instead of the player. And then later on they'd get the rug pulled from underneath their feet. This in turn would make them question their own life much more and grow closer to Kris in a more natural way. (I take A LOT of inspiration from FFIX, so I aimed for a Vivi and Zidane-like dynamic. If you've played the game, you know what I'm talking about)

As for Chara... well they probably get mischaracterized the most out of all the characters from Undertale. Mainly because of Asriel's remark at the very end of the game if you choose to find him at the flowerpatch. So I took that remark and did a little bit if pondering. If we assume that Chara came from an abusive household, it might be easier to figure that they experienced a lot of verbal abuse (alongside the physical kind). What some children do to cope with that is taking this aggression they experience and transfer it to someone who is weaker than them. In most cases it's a pet or stuffed toy. When Chara got taken in by the Dreemurrs was probably the first time they legitimately experienced love, which must've been confusing to them. They were really close to Asriel, but this power imbalance they experienced in their past probably stuck with them, hence why they teased Asriel a lot. Notice how in the comic (and asks) Chara is very quick to insult people? I sorta believe the reason why Flowey calls you an idiot so much in the game is because of Chara. He's doing the same thing they did. In the comic Chara is not a murder hobo. They are just a bit of a bully due to past trauma. But you'll see how that's gonna be tackled in the comic later down the line.

Dorky things abt my uf papyrus

-ridiculous fashion sense. He loves belts and spikes and crazy accessories like armor I'm just detail-phobic abt drawing im sorry

-total pet mom. he would absolutely buy or make clothes for any animal under his care, including friends and family's animals if he babysat them. Spoils them rotten just in general and defends them against any and all criticism or annoyance

-thinks it's normal for kids to get "their first knife" as an age milestone gift

-sings along to songs he likes when (he thinks) no one is around

-enjoys making food into faces when he plates it, doesn't do this for anyone but Frisk and Flowey (and himself, when alone)

-does not actually know how to use a washing machine for some time and lies about it (he washed clothes by hand underground)

-practices his different intonations and expressions in the mirror

-1000% overbundles Frisk in the winter once he realizes humans are much more susceptible to cold

-talks to bugs and frogs and stuff while gardening like they can understand him

-gets loud when he’s genuinely excited and then gets very embarrassed when he realizes

-gets super invested in Toriel's Korean drama shows (lies about it)

ok what ideas would you have for a danganronpa and undertale crossover and would you have makoto replace frisk or have been a sort of big brother figure for them and maybe what kind of soul makoto has and maybe as I have seen in some undertale fanfics flowey ends up becoming a sort of house pet or maybe he follows around makoto for a bit

Great question! (Unrelated, I did start writing a Danganronpa/Undertale crossover on AO3 a while back, where Chara and Frisk go to Hope's Peak with Class 78.)

For Makoto in Undertale, my thought is he replaces Frisk (or at least doesn't coincide with Frisk; maybe Frisk falls after him, but basically he's not walking alongside Frisk for the adventure).

(In another post I mentioned casting Nagito as Chara, and I maintain that I really like the idea of Nagito as the ghost of a previous fallen human who accompanies Makoto through his journey. Sharing commentary and advice and encouragement, in accordance with the Narrator Chara Theory. Picture Ghost Nagito standing behind Makoto, saying, "Despite everything, it's still you.")

Makoto starts off his journey like, "I need to get back home."

He meets Flowey, and it's like:

"Howdy! I'm Flowey. Flowey the Flower."

"You're a flower!"

"Yyyyyep. Aren't we observant."

"Right, I just mean...Sorry, but you kind of...I've never met a talking flower before."

"Oh, you're new to the Underground, aren'tcha? Golly, you must be so confused. Someone ought to teach you how things work around here! I guess little old me will have to do."

Then Flowey initiates the Fight and tells Makoto to catch the "friendliness pellets", and Makoto warily agrees, but then once Flowey aims an attack at him, Makoto sneezes or something and manages to completely dodge the bullet pattern. (It's not just a single movement; it's, like, a several-second full-body contortion of a sneeze.)

Flowey stares at him. "...What was that?"

"Sorry. Might've been the...pollen?"

"Try to keep still this time, m'kay?"

"Right, sure."

He keeps still, and this time Flowey does strike him. "Ow!"

Flowey laughs. "You idiot!"

"You hit me! What'd you do that for?!"

"In this world, it's kill or be killed!"

"That's not-! You just hit me for no reason! The 'world' had nothing to do with it! We're alone in a room, and you hit me!"

"Oh my angel, stop whining. I'm starting to get how annoying it is to be the older brother." He surrounds Makoto with bullets.

"Wait, wait, wait! What are you even getting out of this?! I don't have anything worth stealing. I mean, I do have a little bag of all-purpose instant plant food in my pocket. Do you want that?"

"Why do you have-?! Just because I'm a flower doesn't mean I eat plant food!"

"Oh. Well, what do you eat?"

"I don't!"

"You don't?"

"I-...Shut up! I eat normal people stuff, okay?! Pie, snails, popato chisps, donuts..."

"Popato...? Oh, wait, donuts?!" Makoto excitedly digs into his pocket and pulls out a little sleeve of wrapped powdered donuts. "I meant to give these to one of my friends, but she wasn't in class today."

"You're not even listening! This world is kill or be killed; you're not going to appease me with snacks when I can just kill you and take them!" Flowey tries to land the killing blow, but once again Makoto sneezes and dodges the whole bullet pattern. "Are you kidding me?!"

"Pollen," he says again, now audibly congested. "Is there a way you can stop shedding it everywhere?"

"I don't shed pollen! You're just...weird!"

All of this to say, Toriel shows up while Makoto and Flowey are arguing with each other, and she momentarily thinks of the children she once raised, and the kinds of arguments they used to have. But the memory subsides, and she saves this human from that flower.

(She doesn't hit Flowey with fire magic, because his argument with Makoto means he isn't actively about to kill him. So she can just take Makoto to the next room, healing his injuries and leaving Flowey behind.)

(Ghost Nagito starts to appear while Toriel is leading Makoto through the Ruins, but initially he's just a mirage in the corner of his eyes. He manifests fully once Toriel leaves to make the pie.)

Makoto gets to know everyone. Like, he spends a pretty significant amount of time with every character, including the random encounters. His goal is to get home, but on the way, he's pacifying every monster. (He's not above fighting back when they seem to be hitting him on purpose, but he never kills anyone; first of all, a lot of the monsters probably read to him as accidental in their attacks, and his desire to hurt them is low enough that even when he fights, he's not doing much harm.) Instead of meeting Toriel at the house like Frisk does in canon, Makoto is probably lying down with Napstablook, when Toriel returns for him.

He stays at Toriel's house for at least a day, learning about her and the Underground, before he leaves.

When he meets Flowey again after sparing Toriel, Flowey tries to do his whole, "Clever, very clever. So you managed to play by your own rules," spiel, but Makoto gets a question in before he can:

"So, if you eat normal food, where does it go? Do you have a stomach?"

Flowey is annoyed but answers, "Monster food doesn't work like that, idiot. It doesn't go all the way through the body."

And Makoto learns more about what monsters are made of and how HP works. He offers Flowey a Spider Donut, but Flowey just leaves.

And that's generally the vibe of his time Underground. Meeting people, lingering with them for long enough to get to know them, confounding every attempt to treat him as an enemy by being unfailingly curious about everyone.

His goal is still to get home, but he's starting to get a picture of how tough that might end up being.

He's getting to know Ghost Nagito, too.

And whether Nagito is a direct Chara stand-in or not, he has a less-than-friendly outlook towards humanity. It's not a straight-up "Humans should be killed," kind of thing; his vibe is kind of like, humans have a responsibility to put their powerful souls to good use. But he admires monsters, magic, etc. There's genuine fondness there. So he starts out skeptical toward Makoto but warms to him pretty quickly.

All of this either culminates in a scenario where Makoto takes a much slower route to the Pacifist Ending (and maybe gets to skip the Photoshop Flowey fight), or Makoto winds up living in the Underground, maybe in Mettaton's old house next to Napstablook, until Frisk falls down and then the plot of Undertale happens. (Meaning, Frisk falls and everyone is like, "Another human! Great, so Asgore doesn't have to kill Makoto!" and Nagito is like, "Hey, good news!" and Makoto is like, "That is a child!!")

In Makoto's house, there's a pot of soil that Flowey sometimes appears in, but Flowey doesn't strictly live there.

Hey there! It's been a while, huh? I'm sorry for my absence, but life got in the way.

Anyway,

I came up with some concepts and ideas about the Hazbin Hotel x Undertale AU of @discofama !

Charlie:

-She's seven years old.

-Charlie's an half-human half-monster Hybrid. While she has a human appearance, her pupils are much more pointy, but she can show her monster form when she's feeling really strong emotions.

-She didn't have a family back on the surface. She lived in an orphanage all her life and she wasn't well-seen by the others.-

-She went to Mount Sheol to find answers about her origins.

Lucifer:

-King of the monsters with a Goat appearance. While he's still silly like in the original show, he's also much more present in his Kingdom, even if only by afar.

-He still loves rubber ducks.-

-He and Lilith had an amazing and loving relationship, but it became strained after "the incident".

-He was very close and had a friendly rivalry with Adam, but after "the incident", their relationship became cold and only professional.

-He was an amazing Uncle to ---- and ---- and was their favorite babysitter.

-He misses his child a lot.

Lilith:

-The only human that decided to stand by the monsters' side during the war, and that's why she was locked in the Underground along with all Monsterkind.

-She's the Caretaker of the ruins.

-While she doesn't like humans, she has a soft spot for children.

-She always wanted to become a Singer.

-She used to sing lullabies to ---- and ---- to help them fall asleep.

-She loved Lucifer very much and was the reason why she decided to fight alongside Monsters.

-She and Adam had a sibling-like bond, but she hasn't seen him in a long time.

-She hopes her child is safe.

Alastor:

-A deer monster that has something to Hide.

-He has Flowey's role in the story. While he doesn't Attack Charlie and helps her a few times, in the story there are hints that he's actually trying to get rid of her. What are his real intentions...?

-He's a good friend with Rosie and a father figure to Niffty.

Molly:

-She has Napstablook's role. She spends most of the time in the ruins and misses her Brothers alot.

Vaggie:

-She has Papyrus' role. She's a kid Monster with the appearance of a Siberian Husky, who wishes to become part of the Royal Guard to protect others.

-Her real name is Vagatha. But Adam calls her "Vagina" to tease her.

-Adam and Lute are both like mentors to her, even though they both can be difficult in their own ways.

-She's very good at fighting.

-Adam taught her to play the Guitar. She's not bad at it, but not good either.

-She may be just a kid, but she's more competent than the Royal Guards at times.

The Royal Guard:

-The Exorcists have the role of the canine Royal Guards. They're all dog monsters.

-They all adore Adam and want to make him proud.

-They love being petted!

-They have a group special attack: THE ROYAL PUPPY DOG EYES!

Moony:

-She has Monster Kid's role. She's the First Exorcist that got killed by Carmilla in the show.

-She's a dog Monster with the appearance of a Golden retriever.

-She's five years old.

-She looks up to Adam and Lute a lot.

Adam:

-He's the Captain of the Royal Guards. A dragon Monster who you don't want to mess with.

-Has a deep hatred for humans and is very mocking and violent while attacking Charlie. He has his reasons, though...

-He still loves playing the Guitar and loves rock music. His guitar, just like in the original show, can turn into an ax.

-Adam and Lucifer weren't friends at first. Adam became really bitter, because he thought Lucifer was going to take away his wife and he was afraid to lose her, so he challenged him to a battle but he couldn't hit him even once (Similar to Undyne and Asgore) Adam felt very humiliated, but Lucifer offered to train him so he could beat him one day. The more the training went on, the more the two bonded, and when Adam was finally able to hit Lucifer, he felt... Bad, very bad. But Lucifer was super happy and proud of Adam. And that's when they officially became friends.

-Him and Lucifer were close and had a friendly rivalry. Everytime they met, they would attack eachother, in trying to get the other off guard (Much like Meliodas and Ban from The Seven Deadly Sins)

-He loved his wife very much. He was also a good, protective dad.-

-He cares about Lute alot, she was the one who got him out of his depressive state after "The Incident".

-He sees Vaggie as a daughter and really doesn't want her getting hurt again. That's why he's hesitant about letting her in the Royal Guard.

-He often wonders where Lilith went. He won't admit it (yet), but he misses her.

-Deep down, he's actually a softie.

Lute:

-Adam's Liutenant, a german shepherd Monster that appears cold and ruthless.

-She hates humans too for what they did to Monsterkind and because of "The Accident".

-She and Adam fight together most of the time, and have synchronized attacks.

-She's secretely in love with Adam, but doesn't want to push him to have a relationship with her.

-She cares about Vaggie and sees lots of strenght and potential in her, but thinks that she's too merciful and it might get her killed.

-The oldest of the Royal Guards, along with Adam. She thinks the others can be too childish at times.-

Sir Pentious:

-The Underground's Royal Scientist and inventor. He's a snake monster.

-The Egg Boys are basically his children, since they were his first ever science experiment and he used a bit of his DNA to make them.

-He has a crush on Cherri Bomb, despite her destroying his work most of the time.

-He has a difficult friendship with the Vees.

The Vees:

-They're the stars of the Underground. Vox is still a TV, Velvette is a doll monster and Valentino is still a moth.

-They're less cruel and evil than the Canon Vees.

-They want Charlie's soul to go on the surface and become stars there too.

The idea of Frisk and Chara being opposites (and providing opposite choices)

You know, back when I wasn't really sure what to do with Frisk, trying to define them in opposition to Chara helped a lot.

If Chara is serious, then Frisk is silly

If Chara's a bit of an edgelord then Frisk is bubbly and cheerful. (Remember Frisk making a smiley face with the punchcards and Chara saying “happiness is fleeting” when you take them out.

If Chara is impatient and tries to be as efficient as possible, then Frisk is more willing to "waste time", having fun and hanging out with their new underground friends.

(It's easy to imagine some of what Frisk can do as almost deliberate antagonism, the Narrator is harsh and cold and snobby so Frisk starts having fun trying to rile them up. I mean why else would they start checking literally everything in sight when they know the Narrator’s so impatient lol)

If Chara is strict and bossy, Frisk is perhaps a little rebellious, a little contrarian, and employs the philosophy of "you can do whatever you want forever" even if it annoys spoilsports like Chara…especially if it annoys spoilsports like Chara.

If Chara tries to be formal and polite, calm and distant, perhaps has internalised the idea that "children should be seen and not heard" from the surface, then Frisk is more rowdy, teasing and loud, but undeniably warm and friendly.

If Chara is hypervigilant and perhaps a little cowardly (with the running away text), then Frisk is the stupidly fearless one.

If I’m right about Chara not really wanting to forgive him, then that means forgiving Asriel was always Frisk’s preferred choice.

If Chara is the academically gifted one and the teacher's pet(because of the wordiness), then Frisk struggles with school and is easily bored by it and thus spends schooltime goofing off and making trouble with Flowey (or coming up with ways to skip…with Flowey).

Chara’s a voracious reader but Frisk can’t read very well at all, and they certainly don’t enjoy it, they see anything longer than a paragraph or two and check out. Since I think that Chara is both pretty proud of both their role in the prophecy and their status as royalty (but keeping up their high self esteem is incredibly dependent on others validation lest they crash down to nothing), to me that means Frisk is much more naturally and stably self confident. …If Chara is easily embarrassed, and cares far too much about everyone seeing them as perfect then it's Frisk who is shameless, and doesn't care what others really think… which is why they can dance in public, and flirt with strangers, and dress like a human rainbow.

And we know that Chara apparently hated the power of determination and wanted to get rid of it "that power… that's the power you were trying to stop, isn't it?" and had a save file they never used, which probably means they could have reset after the buttercup plan and saved both themselves and Asriel and just…chose not to… But Frisk, on the other hand is the most determined child in the Underground and the only one not to eventually willingly give up against Asgore (since every human could reset)

It’s because of this that I can pretend those few moments of Frisk seemingly showing annoyance with our actions is actually Chara being annoyed with Frisk. Because Frisk chooses the soda that Chara describes as “sickly” and CHARA scrunches up their nose or Chara making Frisk drag their feet when Frisk WANTS to look at stuff in the creepy lab. It's probably Frisk telling Chara not to be such a scaredy cat in that moment.

So yeah…defined in opposition, it helps with characterization, and works as an alternative to player theory (even if that's canon now)

Now let's talk about Nori. The Worker Drones found a way to build/change the bodies of the robots, a new job appearing. *Drone Mechanic*. Soo, Nori gets a body and is back to her husband and kid, becoming a happy family. :3

But I said build/change, right? That's because they now can transform a Worker Drone into a Ward Drone. Ward Drones are the new names for Disassembly Drones, that now work to guard the new cityes build on the planet. From... Uhhh, nothing ig, it's more like police..?

Trust me, the amount of Worker Drones that wanted to become Ward Drones are ASTONISHING! Anyway, Neon is having fun with his new job after graduation. (ofc he started going to school, he knew... Nothing) Also he got diagnosed for autism/j Uzi and Neon mary when they're around 22~23 (Neon taking Uzi's last name), and now become a family. Uzi gets a job as a researcher and is a pet trainer in the free time (Neon helps a LOT when it's about dogs)

Yes, our boy Neon managed to become pretty decent at art. It's his favorite after time.

Uzi is uhhmm... Kinda ASRIEL????? yeahh... She isn't dead, but you don't encounter her in fight only after you fought Cyn. She also takes the place of the judge.

Toriel is Nori(wich yes, lives), and Asgore is Khan. Yeahhhhhh 😅😅😅

Lizzy is Mettaton, Thad takes Aaron's place.

-she knows how to sew (the patches in her dress are a stylistic choice!)

-her favorite movie is probably Coraline, but she preferred the book to the movie

-probably a teacher before she was in the circus, she taught middle schoolers, specifically english to the eighth graders! She subbed in many grades below and above that, on several different occasions and for several different subjects.

-was also a librarian for a while to pay for her college, she still works at the local libraries over the summers, and donates books there all the time!
