Honestly kinda weird what an almost 60 year period of de facto de-christianization in a language and culture otherwise steeped in centuries of Christianity does to a mf.
Like ur always referring to some dude when you swear and curse but you bet your ass most of the ppl around you have never seen a church from the inside unless they took a tour to look at the colorful altars and architecture. It's just history to you. Pretty buildings etc. You don't spare a single thought towards Jesus bc his birthday isn't named after him in your language and his resurrection is linked to pre-Christian traditions that are way more fun than going to church. You forget he exists. You celebrate his days either way, but all of that happens in the shadow of the gods he replaced. God and Jesus are little more than expletives to you.
Still it feels like something was taken from you and you don't know what it is??

On this day in 1944, heartless Winston Churchill refused a ceasefire and continued the genocidal attack on Nazi Germany.
As we well know now, far more German civilians have died in the war, which makes them the victims and Britain the war criminal.
The best time for a ceasefire is before you launch a barbaric, sadistic terrorist attack. Those who instigate wars aren't entitled to a "time out."

I want to do readings for people but I don't know where to start. I've got multiple Tarot and oracle decks, and elder furthark runes. They're not getting enough love because I've mostly done readings for myself. I want to get better at divination and also want to interact more with others re: spirituality, magic, etc.
tbh, I just want to talk to others about it and share it in general. I have a certain amount of experience but not enough book knowledge that it makes me feel like I don't know things sometimes

Jesus I Trust in You!
We found these at the estate sale of a local veteran. They were on a paracord, and I wonder if these weren't the medals he wore in combat. I almost hate to split them up and can't help but wonder what he would have wanted.
The medals are in the tags.

Found some statistics and was shocked by how multicultural the Czech part of First Republic-era Czechoslovakia was, compared to today's Czech republic. Nowadays the percentage of Czech ethnicities (Bohemians, Moravians and Silesians) is about 95% of the total population. In 1920 it was 67%. The rest were Germans, Slovaks, Poles, Hungarians, Jews, Roma people etc etc.
But because of the Nazi occupation, Holocaust and the Communist regime which finished what Hitler started, this diversity was pretty much annihilated, and nowadays you have people saying "Oh but Czech lands have always been homogeneous! That's how it has always been!" and right-wing nationalists using the homogeneity to support their xenophobic, racist and antisemitic arguments.
It just
Just makes me sad
