Jaskier's loved ones are mad at Geralt post the mountain. They want to get back at him, but Jaskier has made it clear that he doesn't want real harm done to Geralt or his reputation.

The eventual solution Jaskier's loved ones come up with is to put out a contract. They hire another witcher to yell at and/or punch Geralt in the face.

Now, Geralt was neither blind nor foolish. He’d seen the message board. And if he was being honest with himself, he knew he’d been in the wrong—he never should have said those things to Jaskier.

“So, you know why I’m here?” Eskel asked.

“Yes,” Geralt replied, keeping his words short. One-word answers were still the most comfortable for him.

“You really should apologize to your bard,” Eskel said.

“You’re right,” Geralt admitted.

“This isn’t personal,” Eskel warned.

Geralt barely had time to brace himself before Eskel pulled back his hand and struck.

Geralt realises that Jaskier's an incubus.

His ability to charm an entire room of people, the way he's always so full of energy after a performance like he's high from feeding on the joy radiating through the room, his revolving door of lovers that seem to care little for their cuckolded spouses in their desire to bed him. Even Geralt himself isn't immune to Jaskier. Every time they're in the same room Geralt feels drawn to Jaskier. He has to restrain himself from reaching out to touch him whenever he's near. He's lost count of how many times he's caught himself staring at Jaskier and had to tear his eyes away from him before he noticed. Jaskier has to be an incubus if even a witcher like Geralt isn't immune to his strong allure, it's the only explanation.

Plot twist, Jaskier's completely human. He's just a charismatic bard who gets adrenaline rushes from performing and Geralt's mistaking himself falling in love as him being magically charmed

How anyone can listen to Extraordinary Things from The Witcher and not think Jaskier wrote it about Geralt. It's just- so blatant. This song makes one-sided Geraskier explicitly canonical to me.

Anyway it’s when they both meet for the very first time ! ✨

Okay so after the mountain breakup and makeup, jaskier has a new horse. He super excited to introduce Geralt “horse girl” Riviera to his sweetheart of a horse, Pegasus. He talk about how well mannered and precious his horse is; and how he just had to buy him off of his old owners who didn’t treat him right — “ I mean they didn’t even give him apples, Geralt, who does that?? —

Geralt is expecting a dainty normal horse, maybe with ribbons in his hair, like his owner. But they get to the stables and jaskier skips over to this behemoth of a war horse. (I’m thinking like a shire horse type breed).

Jaskier is just absolutely besotted with the “sweetheart” and Geralt is petrified. This horse is bigger than roach. It’s glaring at Geralt with the rage of hellfire. Geralt is like 57% sure it’s a hell horse.

It’s also super protective of jaskier and it hates Geralt. Pegasus is always moving in between the two and when Jaskier starts giving Geralt attention Pegasus whines and Jaskier will go back to him.

Geralt is not jealous no matter what anyone says. He tries to tell Jaskier about how his demon horse keeps glaring at him and bumping him off the road. But everytime he tries to point it out Pegasus has the most innocent look on his face.

It would be so funny to see a horse and a Witcher try and fight for Jaskier attention

A contract calls for the return of Viscount Julian Alfred Pankratz to Lettenhove. Seeing an easy payday, Lambert and Aiden take the job without a second thought.
