Some of how Demon Nemi and Genya’s dynamic works below.

If they were both demons, they'd probably have a much worse relationship, so although there'd still be moments like;

"I don't have a brother."

Because let's be so fr here, Sanemi does not remember Genya whatsoever. But it does bother him that Genya is a demon, even if the only thing he expresses outwardly is hostility and murderous intent.

There would also be a lot more animosity from Genya, who became a demon to better understand his brother, but ultimately ends up only feeling less connected than ever.

Thank you for the request, and I'm sorry I took so long! I feel like I might be shoving Kaigaku down everyone’s throat at the moment, so I’ll let this one be Genya’s! The first kiss head cannons I wrote a while back are referenced here a bit.

Genya was pretty shy about kissing in general at first

Even after the first kiss it took maybe half a dozen more kisses before he was able to kiss you without freezing up about it

He’d still be a bit red though (he can’t help it!)

Genya has actually relaxed a lot in your relationship

It first happened when you and Genya got assigned a mission together

The two of you were taking a break in the woods, and your crows had flown off to find information on new orders

Genya was sitting down, leaning against a tree

You decided to go over and sit on his lap, flustering him since that was something you didn’t do often

“Wh-What…” That was pretty much all he could get out

I’d like to state now that a make-out session wasn’t what you had in mind at that moment

But when you kissed him a bit to eagerly Genya’s mind got a different idea

Genya placed his hands on your waist and pulled you closer

The feeling of his tongue running across your lips was surprising, but that didn’t turn you off

You opened your mouth to let him in

Genya wasn’t really sure of what he was doing, mainly just going on stories and instincts

Genya seemed to have more confidence here than he usually he did

Something about this situation, maybe it was you sitting on his lap or the boldness of doing this out in the woods, had riled him up

His hands didn’t adventure much, they simply stayed on your waist until he slips them down to hips

The kiss was rough, but he was gently with your body as he pulled you closer

It took a minute or two for you two to catch your breath

And of course only then did Genya’s face start turning red now that burst of confidence and adrenaline had died down

genya regularly receives check-ups at the Butterfly Mansion, thus you tend to bump into him a ton!

this is where things start to take a turn. . . he stops getting so angry and quick to shut you down. . . and instead, he starts watching you train a little more, keeping idle tabs on your schedule, daydreaming of you when he should be focusing on training. . .

then it hits him:

he's got a crush ?!

to this boy love literally feels lethal.

he can't function. at all. he's unable to stand or talk to you for more than a few seconds without becoming flustered and wracked with nerves.

so loving you from afar is the simplest-easiest option.

he stares a ton, and tries hard not to get caught.

daydreams when he shouldn't- and at the worst times- you can only get punched in the face while training so many times before you start to wonder if having a crush is really worth it.

i'm pretty sure anyone could see the reason this quick-tempered boy suddenly turns shy when he's around you.

and he hates admitting it. (what is he supposed to do? he's never been in love before?)

there are times when he's 100% undoubtably sure that you're busy- or far, far away from the scene of the crime. . . he'll sneak into your room (after double checking that the coast is clear, again) he'll leave a few wildflowers next to your nightstand.

just the thought that he's showing romantic affection towards you has his heart palpitating. . . even if it is, technically indirect.

has him paranoid as hell, like somehow even after all his precautions, you'll just know it was him. if you suspect him, or bring it up, he'll vehemently deny everything.

(whenever he leaves flower btw, it'll be up to a week before he works up the courage to bring another bunch, and in between he tries to garner the courage to talk to you. . . without success)

he'd actually get pretty comfortable with this scenario, and eventually saves up enough to produce a small vase to hold all the flowers.

and it feels like the biggest step yet!

its a painfully simple pot, and he feels he could do better, but he's tied a woven red string around the neck to help. . . at least a little.

you know. . . in the future he could tie notes to it. the thought has his ears burning red hot, and he flees the scene just as quickly.

honestly, it doesn't fully occur to him that he is a secret admirer at first.

he just one day happens to notice you because you caught his eye. nothing in particular, there was just something. . . bright about your presence.

your eyes? your smile? who could really say. all he knows is that your very interesting to look at when you're around.

even your voice catches his attention, like the sound of bells to his ears. its calming and also so alluring? how are you able to charm him like this?

the couple times you caught him staring he looked away quickly, then he starts wondering why he's afraid of being caught?

that's when the idea of an idea starts to form in his head.

a crush!

honestly, i think he'd smile to himself at the thought. its all very confusing and all very new and exciting!

he'd stare a ton and try to be subtle. . . but then fail at that too. (at this point he's just standing beside a tree rather than behind it?)

muichiro gifts you things that remind him of you: things that are eye-catching and interesting to him.

. . . something that holds his attention as much as you do. . .

mostly things he's found, like the shiniest shells or rocks, broken ornaments or porcelain he's found. the best would probably be a tiny pearl he. . . acquired.

instructs his crow to deliver them to you, which in turn means you get hit in the head with said object- you don't need a more obvious clue to know that his crow hates. your. guts. (don't worry she's just a little jealous)

at first, he completely forgets that he's sent anything to you at all.

until he see's you holding them and it all connects.

silently hopes you to make the connection too. and i don't think he'd mind being caught at all. (its kind of like a fun game he's playing, that subsequently causes the faintest blush to appear across the bridge of his nose)

thinks about you maybe a bit too much, and starts to get excited at the prospect of being in love or a relationship! what would it be like to hold your hand, or even have all of your attention for once? (now he's just smiling up at the clouds like an adorable idiot)

if he writes anything (a note?) its just doodles and drawings he's done that he then hands over to his crow to deliver.

actually very fond of leaving you snacks too. . . or straight up offering to share while (innocently) asking you what ❛all those things in your hands❜ are.

Laying on the bed, cuddled up in the blankets with your eyes closed; the once cold, and wet towel heated from the temperature of your skin.

You felt miserable and vulnerable. Especially when Shinobu would continue popping in to scold you on the entire situation, and you just sat there, nodding along to everything she said. Defenseless.

Two knocks had suddenly sounded at the door, causing you to glance over to the wood sliding open. The innocent face of Tanjiro standing in the doorway holding some rice crackers.

“Oh! You're awake!” He smiled cheerfully, walking towards you and pulling a chair. Sitting right beside the bed and placing the plate on the table beside you.

He helped lift you up, sitting you up on the bed.

“I feel a little ashamed for you to see me in this condition…” you chuckled as he shot a confused glance at you.

“Why so? I get in a coma all the time.” he laughed.

You didn't know if it was meant to comfort you, but you couldn't help but laugh along.

This man always knew how to make you feel better.

➳ 𝒁𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒔𝒖

Your sight was fuzzy and blurry and you couldn't focus on what was in front of you except the small yellow light in your peripheral vision.

It took you a moment to realize that it was night time and that small yellow light was casted by a lantern on your bedside table.

You rubbed your eyes, feeling your stomach ache and cry from hunger. You placed a hand on your belly and turned yourself to the left side of the bed, slightly lifting yourself while trying to find the ground.

“Ow! What the hell Y/n!?”

The yell immediately awoke you from your sleepy state.

“Zenitsu!? Why didn't you say anything?”

“I was sleeping!” He cried out, holding his head as he lifted himself from the ground.

“On the floor?”

“I was seated on the floor, resting my head on the bed, waiting for you to wake up because you had me worried sick!”

“What do you mean?” You muttered as he grunted.

“You've been asleep all day. Seriously, you scared the absolute crap out of me!”

“Are they dead?”

“What the hell Inosuke!? They're sleeping!”

“Then why do they look so pale?”

“Because they're sick!”

Your eyes opened ever so slightly, seeing the familiar gray boar mask along with yellow to faded orange hair.

“Seriously… can't you guys be a little quieter when you argue..?”

You started, turning yourself away from them and covering yourself further and closing your eyes; slightly pressing your hands up to your ears to shield them from any noise.

“You woke them up.” Zenitsu grunted, as he turned around and made his way towards the door.

“I'll go get them food. Be quiet, okay?”

Silence filled the room momentarily after the door closed shut. You felt his gaze on you as you slightly lifted yourself to face him.

“So? Are you only going to stare at me?” You questioned as he flinched backwards and shrugged.

“Not sure.”

Chuckling, you sat up on the bed and shrugged as well.

“I know less.” You laughed.

He was sitting beside you for a long time, sometimes nervously glancing at you and other times fidgeting with his fingers. You simply watched him the entire time.

“So..?” You questioned as his gaze immediately shot up at you.

“So?” he responded, awkwardly smiling at you as you rolled your eyes.

“You're here for a reason right?” You lifted an eyebrow as he shrugged.

“Well… this is Kocho’s mansion. I'm allowed to be here.” he chuckled nervously as you nodded.

“I'm aware but you're here for a reason. You rarely step foot in here so it's hard to believe you're just here for a stroll.” You responded skeptically as he shrugged once more.

You could tell he was out of defense.

His eyes wandered the room, a mix of light pink and red filling his cheeks as his fingers intertwined and fidgeted.

“Look… I'm concerned, okay? I'm concerned for you.”

Genya Shinazugawa x Fem! Reader

. it wasn't often Genya got jealous, and although some deem it surprising when told, Genya finds it hard to get jealous when your constantly smothering him with reassurances. It's so unfamiliar to the point where when he DOES get jealous, he doesn't know it, and it makes him feel physically sick. it's just so rare for him.

you hummed a tune as you sat down next to genya on the engawa of the butterfly estate, the gentle light of the moon lighting the area. you had cradled two cups of teas in one hand while your other hand held some kind of ointment. you kissed genyas shoulder and he quickly helped you with the items, placing down the teas while turning his head in confusion at the ointment. you smiled, "thank you!" as you gently scooped a generous amount of ointment in your fingers. you inhaled a bit before you used your free hand to pick at the buttons on his shirt. You said your chest felt heavy earlier right? I figured since it wasn't anything physical, it could just be some built up stress, Shinobu said aroma helps. genya thinks back to earlier in the day. he hadn't known it yet, but after seeing how comfortable and excited you were to train with one of the strongest slayers, jealousy had wrapped its arms around him, effectively creating a heavy weight on his chest. he spent the whole day with an uncomfortable gut and heart. "Oh, okay" he said, his eyes wide a little. you giggled at his expression, his face painted with childlike innocence. he didn't understand how the smell of something could help him, but he went along with it anyway. simply because it was you, and you were never wrong. once his shirt was unbuttoned, you warmed the ointment up before rubbing it in slow circles in his chest, the smell overwhelming him and coaxing him to relax as he felt your hands work their magic. he sighed in content as you did so, and he closed his eyes. you stared fondly at him before continuing your ministrations, feeling intense gratitude that the ointment worked. until now, you had tried every medicine and he had still felt uncomfortable. once the ointment had begun to dry, you were about to pick more up before he gently wrapped his hand around your wrist. "hm?" you said, he smiled at you, "im okay now, thankyou." you smiled back and wrapped your arms around his neck, hugging him tight. he gently rubbed up and down your back before getting back to talking and drinking tea. it was the only part of the day he had you all to himself, unable to make the connection that he was jealous and simply needed some of your attention to ease the uncomfortable feeling he had.

. on the contrary, when he's aware that he's jealous and what it is that's bothering him, he seeks you out himself rather than letting the physical aspect of it brew. When it came to you, he let all his walls come down. it was easy since you just, got him. not once did he need to explain himself.

you were helping a newer slayer out with training, Genyas eyes staring fondly at you the entire time from afar. He's in a daze, and the purple hue in the sky makes you look even dreamier, he swears he can see the gods smile down at you when the gold rays from the sun hit your eyes in just the perfect time as you performed your breathing form. the slayer you were training was a known heartthrob in the corps, it was obvious he was smitten with you, and it would have bothered genya had he not been so focused on your form. He was taken out of his trance when Tanjiro had politely greeted Genya. "Good evening Genya," jumping from the suddenness, he turned to look at Tanjiro, a small amount of embarrassment flooding into his chest. "Hey." he gruffed out, a little bothered by the intrusion. tanjiro began to speak about something Genya could barely comprehend, his focus still slightly on you. It was only after Tanjiro had mentioned the slayer you were training at the moment that he really payed attention to him. "He was talking about asking for her hand, but there isn't any way he's unaware of yours and hers relationship." Tanjiro puts a finger on his chin, showing that he was thinking, and hummed as he looked to the side. "yeah, i don't think he's unaware, but, i just wanted to let you know what I heard." he turned back to genya and smiled at him, genya scoffed and looked to the side for a moment, "thank you." tanjiro smiled bigger, "Ofcourse, you're my friend after all!" Genya paused and inhaled, "yeah.." , he forgot they were friends now. Although genya had been perfectly fine not even a second ago, he was now hyper aware of everything the slayer did. he noticed slight touches he hadn't before, and the way he looked at you. as jealousy pricked it's needles into his skin, the final one in the coffin was when the slayer had put his hands on you. he had treated you like a mannequin to show you how he thought your form was supposed to be. he realized you weren't as tough on the slayer as you were with others when training them, and insecurity's began to get at him. genya felt a vein snap and his stomach began to hurt. he groaned and rapidly made his way to leave. you had noticed that the sun began to set, and as you turned to look at the slayer to let him know training was over, he had placed his blade down and grabbed your hands. you gasped, and looked at his face. "what are you doing, Kakuchi?" you questioned, he nervously laughed and stuttered a bit, "i just, wanted to tell you something.." you immediately knew what he was going to say and you began to pull your hands out of his grasp, but as you did so his grip only got tighter. you looked back to ask Genya for help, but his spot was empty. Your brows furrowed, 'shit.' you thought. he was spewing nonsense as you groaned and jerked your hand off, "Kakuchi, that is inappropriate." his eyes widened, "what?" you look at him, your gaze fierce. "my job is to train you, and now it's starting to seem that you aren't taking any of it seriously. i am not here to entertain your fantasies, i hope you understand that you are wasting my valuable time in doing this." you grabbed his blade and placed it in his hands, "practice forms one through seven, you aren't doing any of them correctly." you huff and walk away, "i will speak to the master to set you up with another teacher, since you aren't making any progress with me." you sweetly smile, it makes him feel sick, "you're aware that i'm already in the hands of someone else right?" he looks down in shame at his blade and you make your way to look for genya.

As you turn the corner you see him walking, muttering something under his breath. he needed to cool down before he went to you, so he decided to wait at the garden you both always meet at. you hastily made your way to genya and gently touched his arm, he went stiff before his gaze made its way across your features. he eased into your touch and exhaled, 'it's not her fault', he thinks. you put your forehead on his arm, and groan into it, snapping him out of his thoughts. "what happened?" he says, the ghost of a frown making its way onto his lips. "i've been wasting all of my evenings this entire month." you say, and he snickers, "yeah? what'd it take to realize it." he says. his tone is snarky, and had you not known any better, you would have pinched him for the attitude. "this entire training thing," you scoffed. "a waste of my time and energy." you shook your head in frustration. your hands began to move as you explained and walked to the garden. "see, i had a feeling he was purposely trying for it to be me to train him, but, how could i go off of just a feeling? i can't tell the master i can't train him just cause," you crack your neck before smiling, "but NOW i have an excuse to get him off my case, thank the gods.." he stops before furrowing his brows, and you're quick to explain before he questions it. "he waited until the sun set to tell me that he thinks i'm so beautiful and blah blah," you huff and roll your eyes at the memory, "he was asking me to be his girlfriend." he frowns and his face forms into an angry expression. he clicks his tongue and looks at you for a bit before speaking, "what did you say?" you snort, "i shut that shit down," he exhaled in relief and you laughed, "did you think i'd do otherwise?" he groaned and rested his forehead on your shoulder, biting it as he inhaled your sweet scent. he quickly recognized it as being the perfume he had bought you on one of his missions and pinched the spot he bit as you giggled, a muffled 'quit it' slipping from his lips. you knew how he was feeling, you knew he left because he was jealous, he would always wait for your session to end before walking to the garden with you, it was an everyday thing, it would be unusual for him to leave you behind. you finally stopped giggling and kissed his head as you began to play with his hair with both of your hands. he gently snaked his arms around your waist, pushing you farther into him. "you were jealous, weren't you~" you cooed, and he pushed you off, still holding your waist. "no." he said. you laughed, "oh okay!" you say, grabbing his face his your hands, gently kissing his forehead and placing his head to rest on your chest. he gently snuggled himself deeper into your skin, trying to mold himself with you although impossible and sighed in content. he felt the vibration from your voice on him as you spoke, "it's okay to be jealous genya, it's normal to feel that way you know? you don't have to hide it." he was debating on pushing himself off your chest, but he knew you'd just drag him back into you. instead he opted for snuggling deeper into your chest and nipping at the skin he could sink his teeth into. "not jealous." he said. you nodded, "hm, sure." you lead his head to yours to give him a kiss on the lips, and he smiled mid way through it. once you felt it was enough, you kissed his cheek and held him tighter. "you're my everything genya, just know that." he closed his eyes and indulged in your words, deciding it's best to just keep quiet. "i hope we get married one day, after all this." he opens his eyes at that, furrowing his brows, he's thankful you can't see him. he kisses your pulse on your neck, and grabs your left hand to kiss your ring finger. "ill marry you. make you the happiest wife. tomorrow if you want me to, and if that's too soon, then the day after that and so on.." he widened his eyes, not thinking he would ever say the thoughts out loud. you held him tighter at that, "keep your word, shinazugawa."

funfact! when sanemi first caught wind of the news of genyas wedding day, he was ashamed and hurt that he had pushed genya way to the point of not being able to share the excitement with him, that was until you had came to all the hashira at the end of their pillar meeting. you had held out 8 invitations in your hands and you smiled sweetly at them all, explaining you had "saved the best for last" sanemi had been the first of the hashira to say grab an invitation yes, rengoku being a close second.

when all the hashira went their separate ways, you held sanemi back, "thank you for deciding to come. he doesn't know your coming, i want it to be a surprise." he gives you a small nod and smile, his rough nature making it difficult to speak kindly to you, his future sister in law. "genya was thinking of making it an open wedding, he felt you wouldn't come otherwise or say no if he invited you directly, but he really wanted to keep the wedding private and only for those special to us." he nods, wincing internally that genya was willing to be uncomfortable at his own wedding just to catch a glimpse of samemi. "oh! you're invited to the after party too, this will be much smaller than the wedding itself, but it would be nice to see you there as well." you smile and wave goodbye, taking your leave.

sanemi and genya had spent the entire after party speaking to eachother, intently listening to how you and him had met. he had missed his little brother after all.

Obanai Iguro: anything you could find featured on a Warped Tour set list. Also loves pop punk and Reputation-era Taylor Swift, but will be caught dead before admitting it.

Mitsuri Kanroji: Arianna Grande (especially her 2013 era). A huge lover of K-pop and girl groups.

Sanemi Shinazugawa: Doja Cat.

Kyojuro Rengoku: he’s such a sweet, good boy. He loves Disney music and show tunes.

Muichiro Tokito: he doesn’t really care much for lyrical music, but he does enjoy lo-fi and vaporwave YouTube channels. Tengen let him pick the music for a party ONCE and Muichiro played “lo-fi anime beats to chill and relax to.”

Shinobu Kocho: Viking death metal, but she only ever listens on her headphones. She never plays her music out loud.

Giyomei Himejima: mid-2010s indie. Think the Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, etc. he finds it calming.

Giyuu Tomioka: 90s/early 2000s divorced-dad rock. Unironically thinks Higher by Creed is a good song. If he ever gets his hand on the aux, the whole group collectively groans.

❀ Shinazugawa Sanemi - Dad rock for SURE. Gets down to Guns n Roses, Def Leppard, and Van Halen. Is secretly a HUGE Nicki Minaj stan, but would literally die before anyone found that out. I had to come back to him after writing this cause MY GOD HE'S ALSO SUCH A LANA DEL REY FAN LMAO.

❀ Obani Iguro - Refuses to pay for Spotify premium but also constantly skips songs so half of his listening time is ads. He likes grunge punk like the Garden and Foo Fighters, but secretly cries to Mitski.

❀ Tokito Muichiro - Super into the indie scene and only a little bit pretentious about it. Strokes, Pixies, Arctic Monkeys - super vibey.

❀ Tomioka Giyuu - Listens to actual underground music and a lot of smaller bands, but also listens to a lot of Radiohead and the likes. Went through a huge emo phase with Panic! at the Disco and My Chemical Romance and still cries to Helena from time to time.

❀ Rengoku Kyojuro - Imagine Dragons makes him hyped for the morning:D But alongside that he actually has some banger music taste as well. Gets down to some City Girls and Nicki Minaj from time to time. Not afraid to shake some ass.

❀ Kanroji Mitsuri - Love love loves pop and dabbles in k-pop as well! I'm thinking Doja Cat, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Lizzo, Loona, Red Velvet, and the likes. Enjoys dancing around to it as she gets ready in the morning and holds her own little concerts in her room.

❀ Kocho Shinobu - A true toss up I think. I can see her liking metal like Slipknot and Korn, but I also see her as a Fiona Apple lover so it's hard.

❀ Uzui Tengen - God he's so unbearable. Listens to a lot of soundcloud stuff and thinks he's better than you because of it. He probably also listens to a lot Lady Gaga and will probably play you a super popular song of her's like Just Dance and say something like "it's super underground you probably haven't even heard it."

❀ Kamado Tanjiro - AJR and Imagine Dragons, probably.

❀ Kamado Nezuko - Physically cringes when her brother turns his music on. She's eclectic, though. She hangs out around Mitsuri and Kanao a lot, so bubblegum pop and goth are worming their way into her heart. Traditionally she enjoys a lot of indie pop, though (think Clairo and such.)

❀ Shinazugawa Genya - Dad rock like Sanemi, except more refined somehow. He also branches out more and got super into QUEEN and the Rolling Stones. 

❀ Tsuyuri Kanao - Godly music taste, I'm convinced she and Giyuu are silently judging everyone. Goth music but like real good goth music (as a goth music enjoyer I'm projecting.) Joy Division, Depeche Mode, Type O Negative, all the classics. 

❀ Hashibira Inosuke - I don't know man....... He probably plays all of his music off of a rock. I seriously cannot decide for him. Probably listens to whatever his friends are listening to.

❀ Agatsuma Zenitsu - ONE DIRECTION BABY. But for real, I feel like he would love love love the Beach Boys! A BLACKPINK fan as well.

❀ Kokushibo - He and Kanao would get along so well because I also think he's another goth king, probably more like a Sisters of Mercy type of guy. He hates Douma's music taste, and will eavesdrop on Akaza playing Phoebe Bridgers from time to time and get emotional.

❀ Douma - BLASTS Megan thee Stallion throughout the infinity castle and knows every word to every one of her songs.

❀ Akaza - Phoebe Bridgers fan until the day he dies.

Shooting Alley Headcanons With Genya

A/n - I’m sorry for the wait, anon! but I’ve finally got around to finishing this request, I hope you like it!

- genya was always a good shot, but his ultimate downfall would be his piss-poor social skills and extremely low confidence.

- the man is the physical embodiment of “looks like they will kill you but is actually a sweetheart”

- He has a very intimidating resting face, and the more anxious he becomes the more his scowl deepens, which leaves him confused as to why people tend to stray away from him.

- “Why is everybody scared of me ?☹️”

- so imagine the absolute distraught mess he became when he found out that you — someone he admired and found pretty cool — was also pretty handy in terms of aiming.

- genya keeps trying to hype himself up to strike up a conversation with you but he chickens out every single time.

- It doesn’t take long for him to find out that you two go practice at the same shooting range.

- he tries his best to avoid you, he gets scared to speak to you in fears that you would find him strange or scary.

- he definitely tries to ask sanemi for advice but sanemi is just not helpful at all.

- “jus’ stop being a pussy ‘n go talk to him.”

- you’d definitely have to be the one to strike up a conversation with him.

- he might look a little intimidating at first, and he may look like he holds a deep hatred for you.

- that is not the case!

- once you do, he’d probably super very nervous—and if you were to invite him to shoot beside you—he would miraculously be failing every single one of his shots.

- just a sputtering and embarrassed mess 😭

- luckily for genya, sanemi was not there. If he was he’d be laughing his guts out.

- It’ll take him some time to warm up to you…but the end result is worth it!

- after a while he’d start approaching you at school and hanging out with you.

- he’d begin to be more comfortable with you and he’d ask if you’d be at the shooting range after school.

- you guys would probably be hanging out after school every other day, just at your local shooting range.

- sanemi never liked this little hobby genya had adopted,

- since sanemi is a math teacher in the modern AU, he gets really pissed when he sees genya “goofing off” instead of improving his ability with math.

- he probably makes genya come home so he can practice math instead of going to the shooting range,

- sanemi has an unspoken dislike for you

- but at the end of the day, sanemi knows you make his brother happy, so he lets it slide.

- hanging out with you is something genya looks forward to.

- whenever he’s sulking or moping around in class—he remembers that you guys are going to the shooting range after school together.

- he’ll gain the courage to invite you to other places besides the shooting range.

Let me introduce you guys to the worst friend group ever made!

Not a SINGLE person here is sane or normal. This ended up being much longer and lore heavy so I made a key, just in case anyone only wanted lore about certain characters

Michikatsu lore has his name is highlighted pink

Genya Lore has his name highlighted purple

Lord Founder Inosuke Lore has his name highlighted green.

Tanjirou Lore has his name highlighted red.

Kaigaku Lore has his name highlighted blue.

Genya was picked up by Michikatsu when he was sixteen about a hundred years before the Taisho era. Michikatsu used to train demon apprentices in the hopes that one day he could find someone capable of defeating Muzan, but every one of them besides Genya either died or betrayed Michikatsu, and he’s since sworn off the practice of turning anyone into a demon.

Genya is extremely loyal to Michikatsu, and this is mostly due to Genya believing that Michikatsu is the only one who can train him to achieve his one life goal; killing the Upper Moon Three, his older brother.

Tanjirou does not start out as Michikatsu’s apprentice; in fact the first of Tanjirou’s friends is actually Lord Founder Inosuke! They meet a couple months after Tanjirou’s demonization and due to some unfortunate circumstances, Inosuke ends up losing his cult and gaining a massive grudge against both the demon slayer corps and Douma The Ice Hashira.

(Note; Inosuke is NOT a demon, and I will be drawing up a full backstory on him when I get the chance)

Inosuke believes Tanjirou to be a forest spirit rather than a demon, and believes himself to be a literal god, and although when he and Tanjirou are alone, Inosuke acts very much like the loud, boisterous boy we’re familiar with, he acts almost unrecognizable when meeting other humans, presenting himself as a kind, considerate sage with a serene smile… a lot like cannon Douma…

Genya comes in after the corps catches up to Tanjirou and Inosuke at Mount Natagumo, where the two became entangled with both Rui and the corps.

Tanjirou and Inosuke are taken in by Michikatsu after escaping with Genya, as Michikatsu sees in Tanjirou a demon who could possibly be capable of defeating Muzan.

Michikatsu has mixed emotions towards Tanjirou, because it’s difficult for him to trust any demon, especially one that seems so pure and ‘human’. The matter is not helped by the fact that Tanjirou is able to perform sun breathing. Even after so many centuries, even after defecting, Michikatsu’s insecurities regarding Yoriichi run deep.

Inosuke believes Michikatsu to be a demigod, and constantly pesters him about training as well as insisting that Michikatsu should become his vice leader when he reestablishes his cult. If Michikatsu could go bald, it would be because of Inosuke pestering and stressing him out.

Genya and Tanjirou grow extremely close, Tanjirou winning him over much like in cannon. Despite their vastly different circumstances, their dynamic doesn’t change much.

Genya and Inosuke fight as much as they get along. It’s either they are both united in a goal and will annihilate or eat everything that stands between them and victory, or they fight like feral cats. There is no peace with them in the same room.

Kaigaku is the last member of the nightmare friend group.

Initially, Kaigaku is a demon slayer who intends to kill Tanjirou for the glory of being the boy who killed the sun-resistant demon, but he ends up switching sides after getting his ass handed to him by a now Moon-breathing-trained Tanjirou.

Tanjirou, as is typical for himself, tries to befriend Kaigaku. It works better than Kaigaku wants to admit. At first, he’s hostile to Tanjirou’s kindness, and openly scoffs at the way Tanjirou sees the world, but over time, Tanjirou starts to have an effect on Kaigaku, making him actually take a look at himself for the first time.

Michikatsu is NOT a fan of Kaigaku. He refuses to train him or demonize him- both of which Kaigaku pleads for the second he learns that Michikatsu is capable of doing so. Eventually, Kaigaku does go through some character development and realizes that he does not want to become a demon, but until then, Michikatsu openly despises Kaigaku and his suck-up ways.

Kaigaku and Inosuke get along the worst out of anyone. This is mostly because Kaigaku absolutely refuses to entertain Inosuke’s self-image as a divine being and is openly dismissive of and hostile towards him because he was never a demon slayer and is not a demon, leading Kaigaku to think little of his abilities. Inosuke doesn’t often deal with humans disliking him, so he thinks that Kaigaku is possibly possessed by a foul evil and frequently tries to execute absurd exorcisms and cleansing rituals on him. Inosuke literally PRAYS on Kaigaku’s downfall.

They do eventually find a mutual respect, but I’m not sure if they ever get around to actually… liking each other.

Genya and Kaigaku get along better than you might expect. They both share complicated feelings for their demon brothers and they both can be more grounded at times than Tanjirou and Inosuke. Still, Genya trusts Kaigaku about as much as he trusts a pile of trash, and when Kaigaku learns this, it also causes him to consider why— and consider changing. From Genya, Kaigaku learns loyalty and what it means to respect your family bonds.

Ah, more Genya! I don’t know why it seemed easier to write for Genya, so I just gave you guys human Kaigaku for this. >.<

This time I put Genya first for a change

Height, weight, race- it doesn’t really matter for Genya

So there might have been a bit of a miscommunication the first time you two met

After all, you weren’t sure why he just froze up like that

Of course overtime Genya becomes used to your presence and it’s freezing up anymore

But he’ll keep stuttering a bit since he likes you

That also improves once you two start dating

Seeing your self-consciousness does bother Genya, and it’s actually something he can relate to in way (but with his breathing difficulties instead)

He’ll always tell you how pretty or beautiful he thinks you are (though he might be bit stuttery doing so)

Genya is nearly 6 foot and has trained non-stop to be a slayer, so he can carry you no problem.

Sometimes if you say something negative about your body he’ll purposely pick you up, maybe even spin you around a bit to show you're not as heavy as you might think

If you make negative comments about your body he’ll give you a stern, but will struggle to say anything

He’ll wrap his arms around you, resting his chin on your head

No words are really needed with that…

Kaigaku is a bit… he’s bad with words, we all know this

Your weight honestly doesn’t bug him, but the way you talk about it does

He doesn’t like hearing you say bad things about yourself

Nor does he like hearing the other slayers assure you look fine

There are a few times where Kaigaku isn’t too sure if you can keep up with him

Might seem asshole-ish, but he has that jerk way of caring

He’s more sweet to you without the others around

If you unsure of sitting on his lap, he’ll pull you onto it as he scolds you for being ‘doubtful’ about yourself

He won’t admit it, but lying down and resting his head on your thighs after a long day is one of his favorite things

It’s not because of the view he gets when he looks up I swear

Sometimes he wishes that you two weren’t slayers, because he’d be able to be like this with you more often

This is going to be my elongated introduction to my KNY Oc - Rei.

Over on my Pinterest (@L4vend3R_823) I have shown some art I've made for her, and I am currently working on an insert for her that will most likely be posted to Wattpad // Ao3 as they are what seems to be the most accessible to the people on my Pinterest that wanted to know more about her!

I'll attach some photos of her, then dive right into her introduction and analysis!

Motivation: To get a calm life for her found family to enjoy - no demons, no struggle. However she does still want to have a goal in her life even after they kill all demons, as it gives her a sense of purpose and something to work toward.

Biggest fear: To succumb to her demonic half - or worse hurt someone she loves. And vice versa; if any of them were to be turned and she would have to kill them, but she doesn't have it in her, not to have the people she loves die by her blade.

General demeanour: Approachable, loyal, dependable (However, once she is angered she is hard to calm.

Most defining moment: She was presumed dead, but rushed to aid her comrades in battle against their best friend was turned, facing her deepest fear, all while having just lost the love of her life, and succeeding to do so.

Places of residence: Initially the place she was raised by her birth mother for nearly a year, before she was abandoned to the Hamanaka household, where she was given her name // Then the Rengoku residence till she left to join the Kamado siblings on their missions, where she never had a set place to live as she was always on the move and often setting up camps for the night // The Butterfly Mansion became a go-to spot for short periods of rest // and from the early beginning of the entertainment district arc, she and Senjuro resided in the Uzui mansion.

** Kana was a girl from the final selection that Rei and Genya fought alongside against a demon // that gave her life to shield Rei and Genya. Rei couldn’t save her and it burdens her to this day.

Okay basic summary:

It was inevitably realised that Rei was a half demon, even she was not aware of this until her and Tanjiro met Tamayo in Asakusa. She was trialled with Nezuko and given consent to stay as member of the corps, but that she would most likely not progress to a rank higher than Kinoe. Clearly, Shinjuro was furious with this, and when Rei came home for Kyojuro's funeral, for he first time in he best part of a year, he confronted her and became physically violent. Rei left with Senjuro and the two of them had been residing in Uzui's mansion since.

And that's all so far!! Some things may change over time as I inevitably make changes and tweaks to either her design or character xx
