Singky Halloween 2024.

This is how Singto Prachaya spent his Halloween livecast on Instagram last 31 October 2024: he's with his plush buddies Gengar (Pokémon) and Deviling (Ragnarök Online), and he also had the chance to wear Pokémon characters Eevee and Gengar, both of which were given by his fans. (And just so we’re clear, I drew a lion wearing a Gengar kigurumi to represent Singto in another costume, aside from his chibi self in Eevee. You know, he changed costumes during his live!)

Singto is just like me, seriously—having his plushies keep him company whenever he’s at home. Besides, it’s always a pleasure to see him surrounded by cute stuff wherever he goes~ :3

The Devil’s Pokemon Team

A/N: Based on my question for my friend, Nataliepthatsme about the Cuphead characters’ choice of Pokemon, I was inspired to write down the Devil’s ideal Pokemon team based on some similar characteristics and some comparisons to his much more devilish personality. Please enjoy.

1: Houndoom - The Devil’s strongest and signature Pokemon. Because Houndoom has some some features similar to the Devil with the demonic horns curled up like that of a goat, potentially as a reference to the Devil’s goat form and Houndoom has the same tail as him.

Also, the Devil would also be in possession of a Keystone and a Houndoominite, able Houndoom to Mega Evolve into Mega Houndoom. Also, my reason that the Devil would have a Houndoom is that they are considered both the dreaded since the Devil’s the most feared creature on all of the Inkwell Isles while it is said that people in the past thought Houndoom’s howl came from the Grim Reaper.

2: Arbok -The Devil’s secondary Pokemon. According to Natty, the Devil would very like have an Abork because it would bear some mild reference of the Devil’s serpent-like dragon form, and he’s evilly crafty like a snake. No arguments there. 🙄

3: Gengar (shiny) - I can literally see the Devil having a Gengar in his team since they maliciously get kicks out of playing tricks on people. Much like Houndoom, Gengar is able to Mega Evolve into Mega Gengar as long as the Devil’s in possession of a Gengarite. And what would make the Ghost-Posion-type the Devil’s second dangerously strongest Pokémon is that he can also become Gigantamax Gengar should the Devil have a Dynamax Band.

4: Hydregion- The Devil would very likely have this Pokemon on his team because it is known to be very violent and destructive, much like the Devil’s literal fiery temper. Especially given how he Devil loses his cool and accidentally burns up his first and second finest demons during his raging tirade about his frustration with trying and failing to steal Cuphead’s soul. 😅

5: Ariados - I had thought the Devil would have an Ariados since he can turn into a spider and I thought it would serve as a mild reference to that. The Devil is capable of weaving a web of trickery as he had set up the Carn-Evil and the casino to lure in prey/victims to obtain their souls.

6: Glicscor- According to its profile, Gliscor takes pride once it drains the blood of its prey, reminding me of the Devil proudly confessing that collecting the souls of his victims is his greatest obsession. 😰So, yeah… Gliscor would be most definitely ideal for the Devil’s team, alright.

Ghost/Dark Gengar!  An excitable variant of the already mischievous Gengar, this Pokemon has a habit of dancing around random humans and Pokemon.  The reason for this behavior is unknown, but it’s certainly better than Kantonian Gengar’s constant pranks!

Only Dolce's saccharine nature could counter Kabalè's acrid attitude.

Probably one of my best pairs in terms of contrast, hands down! I'm really proud of how they came out :D Let's go over them design notes:

While Kabalè gave me a lot of room for exploration between her two canon designs, Dolce was pretty straightforward in terms of source material, since she's a series-exclusive character.

I wanted to keep Dolce as part of the main cast because I noticed some animosity from the fandom towards her back in the day, particularly over how "dumb" and stereotypically girly she was. There should be room for ultra-feminine characters in girl-focused media, because I know a lot of girls and women love them and look up to them, and who am I to deny them their fun?

My position regarding Dolce pretty much defined what I would do with Kabalè. If Dolce got to be unapologetically feminine in the traditional sense, why, Kabale HAD to be feminine in a transgressive sense! Those familiar with Ever After High know what I'm talking about: the "opposite" figure to the pink goodie-goodie princess is the purple rebellious evil witch.

My decision to make Kabalè more tanned than her canon counterparts stemmed from the same place as Mefisto and Gabi's changes: it matched her new design much better in terms of color contrast, and adding a bit more variety to the devils wouldn't hurt. I also wanted to pay homage to her hair in both iterations by making her blonde with a high ponytail and a streak.

I studied Dolce's key traits and focused on them for her new design: hearts, pink contrasted with blue and white, and puffy hair. I actually increased the amount of pink but used less saturated hues so they wouldn't clash or feel like too much, and used cyan and off-white accessories to visually segment her body by her joints, similar to an articulated doll.

For Kabalè I chose to mix her "spooky-chic" colors from the series with her comic design, and then I focused on modernizing said design! Not gonna lie, I had a lot of fun looking at current urban fashion and playing around with Kabalè's purple palette, it's not too common apparently (outside of Gengar apparel, lol).

Dolce's mascot, a blushing phantom butterfly, is right atop her hairband to represent how Dolce is the most emotionally mature of the group, since she's also naturally open-minded and focused on positive self-growth. Meanwhile, Kabalè's badger bat perches inside her jacket's inner pocket, symbolizing how Kabalè's polarizing nature often isolates her from the world around her.

Honestly I'm glad these two came out as well as they did, for the longest time I was stuck with them until some good friends of mine gave me a crucial helping hand (my most special thanks go to @fairy-of-the-black-willow). To put it bluntly, I wanted them to look grand but my sense of fashion is a bit too practical... all my pants are denim and I only wear grayscale t-shirts :V

#ArtVsArtist x #2024betweenUS: this is when my year as a fan artist is defined by the grand KristSingto comeback as an onscreen couple. Sure, I only get to do some Krist Perawat × Singto Prachaya fan art during free time, but because they’re so booked and busy throughout the year (ranging from fan meets to top spender events—and yes, Peraya Party: Begin Again stuff), I managed to make as many fan works as I could (King Man included—and yes, there is a Pluto and Muffin Family feature, as well as Singto’s Gengar, Eevee, and Deviling). Not to mention...I have yet to see The Ex-Morning on the small screens this March 2025, as Krist stated in his press interviews. He also mentioned that the shooting is postponed due to scriptwriting issues, i.e. the first episode script is the only one finished so far. </3

Anyhow, I hope Krist × Singto—together with the rest of the cast and crew—will step up their A-game once they go on with The Ex-Morning shoots and stuff. The fans have waited for years, so I really wish they could make this comeback worth the wait. Also, I hope this onscreen couple will come back to the Philippines soon; it’s been so long since the great SOTUS era~ :P

Themes: Pokemons that are honorable and strong, seemingly normal but are strong, reference to Asta’s demon form and weapon

Sirfetch’d is Asta’s main pokemon as well as Marshaow, who is a reference to Liebe.

Asta personally connects with Hawlucha the most.

Noelle: *Gyardos, Primarina, Keldeo, Tinkaton, Milotic, Tsareena

Themes: Cute pokemons that are more dangerous than they look and/or pokemon that start off very weak/ugly, but become stronger/beautiful.

Gyrados is Noelle’s main pokemon. 

Noelle has the most trouble with Tsareena (Diva!).

Magna: *Houndoom, Scrafty, Mabosstiff, Obstagoon, Golisopod, Lycanroc (midnight)

Themes: Pokemons that look scary or look like a delinquent and are ready to battle no matter who they are up against.

Houndoom is Magna’s main pokemon.

Magna is most proud of Golisopod.

Themes: Pokemons with a lot of energy and can physically fight.

Boltund is Luck’s main pokemon.

Luck likes to (playfully) fight with Blaziken.

Finral: *Togetic, Lapris, Corviknight, Roserade, Mamoswine, Gogoat

Themes: Pokemon that are known for being transport pokemon, romantic pokemon, or overall peaceful in nature.

Togetic is Finral’s main pokemon.

Finral likes to bring Roserade to his dates to create a romantic atmosphere.

Vanessa: *Hatterne, Espeon, Gardevoir, Mismagius, Sprigatito, Victini 

Themes: Pokemons related to witches, femininity, cats, and associated with luck (victory).

Hatterne is Vanessa’s main pokemon.

Vanessa likes to let Sprigatito roam around because of its sweet scent.

Charmy:*Wooloo, Appletun, Slurpuff, Alcremie, Fidough, Morpeko 

Themes: Pokemons that are food-related and look soft and cute.

Wooloo is Charmy’s main pokemon.

Charmy relates to Morpeko when it gets hungry. They fight a lot for food though. 

Gordon: *Greavard, Weezing (Galarian Form), Mareanie, Clodsire, Muk, Gothorita 

Themes: Pokemons that look dangerous, but some are relatively harmless. Some are shaped like a friend and/or fit the goth aesthetic.

Greavard is Gordon’s main pokemon.

Gordon considers Gothorita as a little sister because they resemble each other a lot.

Grey: *Ditto, Eevee, Smeargle, Mr. Mime, Tandemaus, Mimikyu

Themes: Pokemons that mimic another pokemon or can copy another pokemon’s move. One also references Cinderella's mice.

Ditto is Grey’s main pokemon.

Grey connects with Mimikyu the most.

Gauche: *Alakazam, Ampharos, Prinplup, Malamar, Oranguru, Scizor

Themes: Pokemons that can use reflect and/or double team, and are known for being wise and/or prideful.

Alakazam is Gauche’s main pokemon.

Gauche has the most trouble with Prinplup.

Zora: *Zoroark, Grimmsnarl, Absol, Spiritomb, Gengar, Lucario

Themes: Pokemons known for being mischievous and pranksters. Some are misunderstood by others and have a strong sense of justice.

Zoroark is Zora’s main pokemon.

Zora likes to use Gengar the most for pranks.

Nero: *Swellow, Staraptor, Rufflet, Toucannon, Oricorio, Klefki 

Themes: Pokemons that are birds and related to locks (keys).

Swellow is Nero’s main pokemon.

Nero got Klefki from Lumiere and will forever cherish it. 

Henry: *Golurk, Rotom, Drampa, Swablu, Whimsicott, Blissey

Themes: Pokemon that are useful in a house, a reference to Henry’s raging black bull, or generally caring towards others.

Golurk is Henry’s main pokemon.

Henry was cared for by Blissey since he was young.

Nacht: *Umbreon, Mightyena, Honchkrow, Mudsdale, Liepard, Darkrai

Themes: Pokemon that reference his devils and his dark magic.

 Umbreon is Nacht’s main pokemon.

Nacht is wary of Darkrai during a moonless night.

Yami: *Kingambit, Greninja, Shiftry, Samurott, Pangoro, Slaking

Themes: Pokemons that are a reference to Japanese culture.

Kingambit is Yami’s main pokemon.

Yami gets irritated by Slaking because of its apparent laziness.
