I know you said Sephiroth doesn't really like movies but is there a movie that left a really strong impression or impact on him? Or does he just not feel anything at all?
Sephiroth isn't easily moved by things, at least not when it comes to movies. He's just not that kind of guy, always very stoic and dismissive. Most of the time, he doesn't feel anything at all.
There was one movie that was different. And only one.
Chirin's Bell/Ringing Bell has a deeply scarring and personal impact on Sephiroth, provoking a serious physical and emotional reaction he couldn't quite express or understand. It's just a stupid vintage anime movie about revenge and death and losing one's mother but shhhh don't mention that in front of him. And yet he finds himself borderline shaking by the end of it, his head buzzing, somewhere between grief and rage. It hits too close to home, feels too familiar. It's silly and ridiculous. But it's HIM. Sorta.
Genesis, naturally, finds this totally hilarious, and teases Seph mercilessly thereafter for his visceral reaction to "the stupid sheep movie". This becomes a recurring in-joke within the trio, often reminisced on whenever Sephiroth is not around.
Sephiroth doesn't find it funny though. And doesn't like talking about it. He childishly covers his ears whenever Genesis brings it up.
