Dr. Octavia Otto was a researcher at OSCORP. She was one of the few people working for Norman Osborne himself, trying to find a cure to his super secret sickness I don't have yet 😀

She was working on crossing animal or animal and human DNA to find cures and things that could help the body heal itself. After an experiment goes wrong, she is suddenly mutated‼️‼️

She mostly has the power of different breeds of octopuses, since it's what she was working with most at the time as you can see her skin turned a mustard yellow with brown and blue spots, which is based off of the Blue Ringed Octopus!

After the mutation she went into deep hiding trying to figure out wtf was wrong with her. Once she has her powers more under control she goes back to OSCORP to tell them her discoveries, only for Norman to steal her work, fake her death and take her to get experimented on.

Some shit happens and she has a whole morally grey villian arch. She's not good but she helps Bug-Boy time to time (very rarely)

So like an octopus, she can change her skin (and clothes) to camouflage into her souroundings, she basically comes invisible.

Sometimes, (she hasn't figured out why or how) her skin releases an almost slime type of goo. It's very toxic, and make you almost deathly sick if it gets in your body. She was able to isolate it and make it into a serum, which her claw things can inject you with

She can grow extra limbs but it takes a lot of energy so she normally uses it to heal herself

It's not exactly a power, but after the mutation she became a lot more crafty (?). She can figure out puzzles and plans a lot more. She's litteraly able to get out of tight and small spots more.

One downside to her mutation, is she gets like really bad eyesight. She Litteraly can't see inches from her face. She's also now color blind, so she made glasses which are based both off of Dr Octavia from SitSV and Toby Miguire Doc Oct, but they work like color blind glasses and help her see+see color

Miguel O'Hara made you uncomfortable. Not only did he talked to you like he loathed your very existence, but sometimes it looked like he was making a point to keep you close, like he enjoyed to see you squirm in discomfort, like thrived on your shame. And maybe it was just you, or he was keeping an eye on you because you were the new guy in HQ, but it didn't change the fact you'd rather be away from him.

One of the things that made Miguel so awkward to be around, was how attractive he was. You could say you had a "thing" for many people at the spider society, you found yourself being harmlessly attracted to many spiders, but didn't plan to do anything about it, it was part of your nature, to enjoy beauty as an observer. However, Miguel made it so hard to just keep calm when he showed you his fangs as he was talking, when he sat down showing you the space on his lap, when his eyes shimmered like crystals on his dark office. You averted your gaze from him as much as you could, dreading any kind of eye contact (or well, any kind of contact) with him.

For the lack of spidey senses, Miguel made up with many other abilities, like the superhuman smell, the superhuman smell that could always tell him what you were feeling. He could smell your nervousness, your fear, but most importantly, your arousal. He loved showing you his attributes, and then giving the air a nice whiff, tasting the sweet and metallic smell of your excitement, hidden away your shy looks, and "professional" facade.

What Miguel did not like, was smelling it so much when you were away from him. You enjoy his company, talking to him in spanish, you've missed the intimacy of your first language, hanging around his office while he vents to you about how stressed he is, bringing each other snacks and reminding the other to take care, normal things. The Loki series genderfluid discussion has me wondering - Is Loki genderfluid because they can shapeshift or is that just their personal gender identity?

I’m a non-binary AFAB person and I can’t just change my appearance to suit my gender. Loki can but that’s not explored at all in the MCU.

Also, is the shapeshifting an ability that Loki was born with (not sure how that would work with him being a frost giant unless I’m ignorant) or is this a spell that he has learnt from Frigga?

It would be nice if it was something he was born with so it’s part of his gender identity, as a non binary person it would be nice to see them and think “Oh, he was born different like me!” Rather than just a spell they acquired.

If it is a spell, it could explain Sylvie not having the same identity in theory. Maybe she didn’t learn the spell like Loki did?

To be honest with you I don't think they actually had any interest in truly developing that part of Loki. They shared a teaser video a few days prior to release because they wanted the headlines and the hype -- but when push came to shove that genderfluidity was swept under the rug.

It is super canon in the comics...

... they are the ones doing the actual representation here. But the MCU? They want the hype without any effort. They just wrote Sex=Fluid and then gave interviews like these...

... with Herron saying they just wanted to "acknowledge" it, which basically translates into "we wrote it on a paper, what else do you want?!".

So it's all up to interpretation as she says. I would personally ignore that godawful scene of "oh no, a female variant, how terrifying!" and assume Loki is in fact genderfluid the way we understand it here. Not a spell, not something that is external to him but quite simply that's who he is. As you say, if it was a spell then whoever learns how to shapeshift would be considered genderfluid but I feel like that would be slightly... insulting? Dunno, I'm not an expert.

As for Sylvie, it's even more confusing because Marvel just can't seem to make up their minds: either the variants are the exact same as the OG characters or they're not. All Spideys were the same, all Stranges are the same, but when it comes to Loki and Sylvie they're different? Mobius showed a bunch of variants in ep2 and he says: "no two are alike, slight differences in appearances and different powers"... so does that extend to his genderfluidity or his bisexuality? We don't know, they didn't explain it.

So, in short: it's up to us. And since we know better than these terrible directors and writers, I say... what the hell. Loki is super bi and super genderfluid and that's something innate in him because that's who he is. Disney+ be damned.

I think my two favourite right now are two steps forward, one step back and Daisy Evans, the girl who stood true!

The former is my biiiig mcu Parkner post NWH fic with two arcs written out of 6-7 arcs planned that follows Peter's life at MIT with a new group of friends and a new hero team. There's a lot of big life challenges the various characters are dealing with ranging from questioning queer identity to deep rooted trauma, but my characters always come out the other end because they have the support network and found family they need and they get nice things!

Daisy Evans is my harry potter fanfic/foefic following the titular character Daisy, trans girl kid who lived, in her time at Hogwarts. I'm using the overarching plot structure of canon but with my own worldbuilding and character changes. It's found family again but in the literal sense of Daisy gets adopted by people who were considered family by the potters and Sirius. One thing I love about it in particular is Daisy's character development over the seven years because she goes from this traumatised insecure meek girl with some seeds of immense courage planted from the start to an absolute warrior queen!! I've put a lot of work into this fic to unpack the bigotry that Rowling packed into potter verse and spitefully make it full of inclusion and representation :3

I think of my longfics I also have to mention What It Takes, which is a Naruto fic that I started writing on a whim quite some time ago, which considers the idea of what if Naruto grew up not being naive, and knowing exactly what it takes to become Hogake. Feat. genderfluid/nonbinary Naruto and his queerplatonic boyfriend Hinata and his romantic boyfriend Sasuke; Team 7 is Naruto and The Boys hehehe

You know, since a lot of people are designing their own "Spider-sona", I decided I'll take a crack at it. I can't draw for shit, but maybe I can just write down the basics. *cracks knuckles* Here goes nothing! (Lemme know what you guys think!)

Name: Zizi

Spider name: "Crazy Spider"

Height: 5'2

H/C: Black

E/C: Brown

Gender: Genderfluid

Pronouns: Her/Him/She/He

More descriptions: Always wears a brightly colored spidersuit with a black hoodie over it. Is always drinking something, be it an energy drink or a soda (unless Miguel finally makes her drink water). Is always listening to music, so they have their headphones either on or around their neck. He's kinda short with a medium build, and he's always moving, he physically cannot sit still. If he's on a mission, he's multi-tasking, if Miguel is giving a debriefing, he's more than likely doing a tiny dance. Since he always wears his suit, which does a good job of keeping his fluidity on display (his suit is programmed with an optional binder so some assets of his are either visible or not, depending on how he feels.) One can also tell how he's presenting based on his mannerisms. The spider-persons he hangs out with have learned to notice those mannerisms. He's usually very talkative, but some days he just wishes to be quiet and vibe.

Personality: Funny, lively, generous, kind, hyper, hard worker, prankster, and loud.

Backstory: Like most spider people Zi got bit by a scientifically modified spider. However, this was sort of different. This spider was not only radioactive, but had a weird mix of DNA. It was a spider alright, but it's DNA build had a dash of moth in it. A Deathhead moth, that is. It didn't make much of a difference, except give Zi antenne and the ability to locate sweet stuff within a 15 mile radious. More of a distraction than a help. Anyways, the spider did give her powers that altered her own DNA structure in a spidey way. In fact, she's more like Miguel, in a way. She has tiny fangs and retractible "talons" on the tips of her fingers, but she can also produce organic webbing from holes in her wrists. The webbing, however, comes out brightly colored instead of white. Either brightly colored or black, depending on her mood. Her "uncle Ben" was actually a childhood friend she had. The night she lost him was the night she was bit by the spider.

Years had passed since then and, after being recruited by Hobie and Pavitr, she ended up at the Spider-base, where all spider persons from various dimensions and universes basically meet up. She doesn't really understand more than the basics, but she's more than happy to be part of it.

On a usual day she's either helping to stop bad guys and keeping the multiverse from collapsing, or she's busy pranking Miguel with Hobie's help.
