Started writing something about Dom Soap being a herding dog (if we insist on applying the dog metaphor to him.)

A hand on the small of your back, maybe your hand wrapped in his, at worst his hand on the small of your neck to guide and direct you. He doesn't need to nip at your heels to get you to go where you should.

A nip at your earlobe followed by a growl of "Behave yerself" just barely above the din. A soft kiss along your jawline to apologize; to anyone else it looks like he's telling you a secret, but you know it's a reminder that he is in charge and you'd best listen.

A pinch - maybe the inside of your thigh or arm, or the soft, cushiony part of your hip - when you step outside of pre-determined bounds. A reminder that he's here to protect you, even if you can't detect the threat yourself.

He's subtle in the way he displays dominance. He knows his job is to protect and keep you in line, and he intends to do at least that much. He'll showboat in other areas (and does). But this power exchange between the two of you is his.

....I lost the dog metaphor there a bit. Sorry not sorry. Yes, you'll probably see a lot of this in Museum Muse. Maybe Brix. Bite me. (I'll like it.)

I usually have a hard time drawing something new immediately, but I was inspired to draw the new girl from the recent Monster Hunter Wilds trailer: Gemma. Speculation is that she's Little Miss Forge from Monster Hunter 4, which I would be happy if true. Miss her

do we ever get to see her telling the rest of the team who she’s dating? Like maybe he comes to a team dinner or something and they’re all like sorry what??? A rangers player oh my goodness how could u do this to us - completely joking around of course they’re just happy to see Gemma happy and they all like Mack so it’s all ok and good. And then they realise that some of the team already know - jack luke nico etc and they’re just being all dramatic about it 🤭

one hundred percent i’ll write everyone finding out about gemma and macklin, i still have so much for their story! i have a few ideas coming up where a few more on the team will find out about gemma and macklin! but for when most of the team finds out it most likely won’t be anytime during the rookie season probably during the 25-26 season! now for when the public finds out about gemma and macklin it will definitely be awhile till them

Turning to you because you always brings interesting points when there´s a queer convo. Maybe I´m not even the only one who´s writing this. So, there´s a photos from G*mma´s book under the chapter Knowing me, knowing you? and unfortunately it may be taken from the larger context as author of the photo didn´t take the photo of whole page. So she writes: "I understand that many people feel strongly that queer parts in TV and film should go to queer actors. But to harass someone on social media like that, especially someone who is only 18 years old - and who described to UK V*gue the sudden and extreme level of fame the show brought them as ´scary´ and ´overwhelming´ - seemed cruel and sad, not to say very much against the spirit and message of the show. When someone uses a label for themselves it can be empowering, but nobody ´owes´ us a label. They should be offered, not demanded."

It´s obvious that she´s talking about K*t C*nnor and his experience of forced coming out but no doubt she also has his brother in her mind when writing this (especially the last sentence). I mean it fits the narrative when H used to keep telling in the interviews that his label is p-word and he won´t share it as he doesn´t owe it to anyone. What is your opinion to what G wrote? I guess your opinion on H´s label and his narrative how he came out to his family and friends and doesn´t owe it to anyone is just an elegant way to avoid this discussion? As he just can´t come out because of his image and the fact he´s S*ny´s golden goose who needs to stay straight as he´s been the only male singer-heartthrob in years and he needs to keep going like that because there´s noone who will replace his position.

If you don’t want to come out, that's fine. If you want to pretend to be straight, that's fine. But don’t take the opportunity away from queer people to have queer representation and role models! Queer people deserve queer representation. It's not that mf hard...

Aaaaanyways, no, nobody ows anyone a label. But if you are unlabeled or don’t want to disclose your label and at the same time presents straight, that means you can’t publicly represent anybody (except others who are unlabeled). The narrative around H being unlabeled is to create mystery and ambiguity around H as a person. He's gay and he's been out to everyone but the public since he was 16 at least. So, while it's a way to avoid the topic, it's also a way to be a blank slate and to be everything to everybody.

I just also want to mention how she's avoiding the topic of queerbaiting here, because that also plays a part of the outrage that Kit (and H) face. Funny that...

So fun fact! While Honey is the first little reader/oc hybrid (what do we even call these????) Ive released to the public, I have another one that Ive yet to do anything with named Rabbit who’s paired up with Ghost. Im still stuck on the transition from the set up of the story to the transition into the smut, SOS it’s been a year and a half BUT anyway something prompted me to think it would be absolutely fucking hilarious if Soap just fell head over heels for this woman who takes one look at him and immediately brushes him off as being for the streets and assumes it’s just her turn to be the object of his desire, and she wants to protect her feelings so keeps him at arm length :(((( and then when I actually get far enough along to write more stuff for them they’re just obsessed with each other, but she still unabashedly remains a holy fucking terror for everyone else while Soap just watches her with hearts for pupils.

But yeah she is kinda a manifestation of like, who I wanna be professionally (not a nurse but applying to school this fall!); good at her job, takes no shit from anyone and is willing to go to the ground to advocate for her patients, and a self insert on location/physical build. Of course I’ll try to write her as neutrally as possible beyond those stated parameters, but that is how she came to be as a “character”

CWs: Medical neglect, fatphobia and as mentioned, me speaking about the death of one of my friends

I had a very, very dear friend of mine who died due to a doctor brushing off her breathing concerns due to her weight. She was a big girl, but had always been very active; “farm build” so to speak. We bonded over both being horse people, which as anyone knows is labor intensive caring for them. She could put in a day’s work. Not being able to breathe after performing day to day activities was not normal for her

Granted I havent gone to medical school and Im not even a nurse yet, but based on what her mother told me, Im pretty convinced it was nothing but neglect and she only died due to the doctor’s incompetence, lack of interest in looking beyond her weight. She had a pulmonary embolism that killed her. It’s been years and I am still SO fucking angry about it. And nothing will fill the void she left, but getting to write out scenes where doctors get their asses chewed on gives me some sort of catharsis.

I’m still really angry about her death and miss her, and while she’s not the reason I’m tracking towards nursing, I will be extremely mindful in what capacity I can of advocating for my patients and their best interests. It’s a job for us, but it is people’s actual lives on the line so we don’t really get to make mistakes and it’s not a “¯\_(ツ)_/¯ whoopsie” when we do.
