Zodiac/Angelus Lux | TF: Genesis | Updated Lore 💫

Here is Zodiac's updated lore + a slight redesign and changing his color palette so he doesn't get confused with Mea Maxima. Here's his old lore!

Before he called himself Zodiac, his name was Angelus Lux; forged by Solus Prime and given life by Primus himself.

Angelus stood around 9ft tall but despite his diminutive stature, he was forged to be strong enough to aid Solus in her Forge. Angelus personally helped in the creation of the Dagitab relic.

When Solus Prime and the other Primes had died, Angelus Lux sealed up Solus Prime's Forge, her relics scattered and hidden away, only keeping the Dagitab relic for himself. He used it and gave himself a new identity, "Zodiac".

With his new identity, Zodiac set towards Iacon where he'd become a guard for the Archives. He'd occasionally correct any misinformation about the Primes (considering he was alive during their time) and he'd get into trouble for it once or twice because he's "just a guard."

When the news of a new Prime reached him, Zodiac relieved that the lineage of Primes continued on.

Once the war broke out, Zodiac held up the fort in protecting the Archives which earned him quite a reputation. But as the war went on, he grew tired of the endless fighting and the countless lives lost.

And during the midst of the war, he fled Cybertron on a ship— bringing with him a title. "Coward."

Zodiac would then enter stasis lock, his ship drifting through space for a long time before the craft would be knocked off course by asteroids, hurling him towards Earth where he'd crash and he'd awaken for how many cycles he had been in stasis lock. He'd come to find out that a young human woman, Mea, was the one who had woken him up. Curious to know how she knew to do that, Mea explained her connection with a different bot and that she needed Zodiac's help finding him.

Zodiac of course didn't agree to it at first. He didn't know much about this human or this planet but maybe it wouldn't be so bad so he agreed to help.

He didn't know this human would change his life greatly.

“…Principessa…?” Mario murmured, his voice barely above a whisper as Princess Peach guided him along the winding path of the mushroom forest.

Towering mushroom trees stretched high into the sky, their thick trunks rising like ancient sentinels draped in a breathtaking palette of warm hues deep reddish ambers, soft pinkish oranges, and golden yellows. Their massive caps, speckled with whimsical spots, were adorned with tufts of cloudy moss that clung to them like nature’s own delicate embroidery. Above them, the sky was wrapped in a gentle veil of cloud-like wisps, their soft embrace diffusing the sun’s golden glow. A flock of tiny birds flitted through the air, startled by the distant laughter of Toads who dashed merrily through the sun-dappled forest, their carefree joy blending seamlessly with the tranquil beauty of the scene.

Peach walked beside him, radiant in her rococo-inspired gown, a vision of elegance in soft pink silk. The dress cascaded in delicate folds, adorned with dainty bows at its hem, each ribbon catching the light with the subtlest shimmer. Her lips, painted in a perfect shade of heart-shaped pink, curved into a serene smile, while her sapphire earrings tinged with just the faintest touch of rose swayed gently with every graceful step.

In her hand, she carried an exquisite lace parasol, its intricate design a masterpiece of craftsmanship. Made from the finest ivory satin, it exuded an air of regal sophistication, the fabric’s luxurious sheen complementing the ornate floral lace that traced its edges like a whispered promise of romance. A polished metallic handle gleamed beneath her delicate grasp, its smooth surface cool against her gloved fingers. The parasol’s weightless frame allowed her to twirl it effortlessly, casting a soft shade over her as she hummed a quiet melody.

Mario felt her fingers entwine with his her dainty, gloved hands, silk-soft and gentle, mingling with his own, roughened by years of work. Her touch was light, almost featherlike against the calloused leather of his palms. The contrast was stark yet harmonious, their hands intertwined like two mismatched puzzle pieces that, against all odds, fit perfectly together.And as they strolled through the forest, bathed in golden light and the laughter of the wind through the leaves, Mario couldn’t help but wonder if this was real? Could someone as graceful, as ethereal as her truly hold his hand so effortlessly?

Her dainty, round fingers intertwined with his rough, bulky ones. Her soft, silky opera gloves met the worn, weathered texture of his leather palms, a contrast so stark it made his stomach tighten.Peach’s delicate face was partly obscured by the shade of her parasol, but the moment she smiled. His heart pounded as he looked at her… then at himself.

His overalls stained, frayed at the edges, the burn marks on the pockets standing out like scars. His boots, scuffed and old, gave him a slight lift, but next to Peach, he still felt unbearably small. Too short. Too broad. Too… wrong.

He always knew he wasn’t conventionally attractive. His nose too big. His arms too thick. His stomach no matter how much weight he lost, it never looked right. Spike had the kind of presence Mario never could. Tall. Intimidating. Assured. And Mario? He had tried. He had tried so hard.Diets. Exercise. Even considered surgery anything to fix what was broken, to smooth out the ugliness he was certain others saw.

Luigi did what he could, reassured him when the thoughts got too loud, but it never lasted. No matter how much he tried to convince himself otherwise, the truth was clear. His body was something to be tolerated, not loved.And as he stood there, hands clammy, heart sinking, he realized something bitter..Peach would never see him the way he saw her. No one would. Not when he looked like this.

Mario's eyes fluttered as Peach suddenly stopped him, her grip tightening around his hand. He barely had time to process before she leaned down, her presence closer, more immediate.

His breath hitched.

Her parasol, now closed, rested elegantly over her arm, but her focus was entirely on him. Her soft lips curled into a gentle frown, her brows knitting together in quiet concern. Her sapphire eyes, always so bright, searched his face with the kind of tenderness that made him feel both seen and unbearably exposed.

“…Mario,” she murmured, tilting her head. “Why do you look so sad?”

He swallowed. Of course, she would notice. She always did. No matter how much he tried to bury it, hide it behind laughter and bravado, Peach could read him like an open book.It would be best… to be honest.

He lowered his gaze, his thumb absentmindedly brushing over the delicate curve of her knuckles. If he had been paying attention, he might have noticed the way her cheeks flushed at the touch. Instead, his voice came quiet, hesitant.

“Principessa…” He hesitated, then looked up at her, searching for some reassurance, maybe. “…If you could change any part of me… what would it be?”

Peach blinked, her expression unreadable for just a moment. Then, without hesitation, she closed the distance between them, pressing a soft, lingering kiss to his forehead.Mario’s eyes widened.

When she pulled back, her smile was warm, unwavering. “Nothing,” she whispered, her voice laced with certainty. “I wouldn’t change a thing about you.”

For a second, Mario just stared, as if his mind couldn’t quite catch up with his heart. Then, warmth bloomed in his chest, spreading through his limbs until he couldn't contain it. His laughter bubbled up, loud and unrestrained, a joyful snort escaping before he could stop it.

Peach giggled at his reaction, her fingers still laced with his as she pulled him closer. She rested her chin atop his head, nuzzling into his hair with a contented hum. Mario barely had time to register the softness enveloping him, his face gently squished against the plush warmth of her chest. His heart stuttered, and for once, it wasn’t out of insecurity just… comfort.

His eyes fluttered shut as Peach released his hands, her fingers slipping into his hair, massaging slow, soothing circles. Without thinking, he let his own hands drift to her back, tracing lazy, affectionate patterns over the fabric of her gown.

They sighed together one slow, deep breath in… and out…

For the first time in a long while, Mario didn’t feel small. He didn’t feel like he had to be anything more than what he already was.

Because in Peach’s arms, he was enough. Just as he was.

Finally, my new ghoul designs have been finished!! And now I must rest my wrist 😅

I'll explain my designs from top left to bottom left (if that makes sense)

I didn't change my color palette for Dew from my old design. I gave him slightly thinner longer horns, some more facial hair, a septum piercing, fire slight scale patterns, and his ears are more fin-shaped to show some of his lingering water ghoul features. I also put a light blue ring around both of his irises (again, a water ghoul trait left over)

Rain is literally just Dev Patel but merman 😅 because I had to. He also has the water ghoul blue ring around the irises.

I didn't change much of my old Phantom design either but I updated the white patterning on his face and slightly bat-shaped ears. I gave him bangs because I think it's cute.

Swiss is very feline-inspired, cat nose, cat eyes, and ears. Paws! Also lots of rings and earrings.

Cirrus was actually the first one I redesigned. Since she's an air ghoul, I gave her some avian traits like the feathers on her face and her ears. As well as the peacock-inspired colors. (Actually unintentional before I realized) she has white cloudy stripes to represent cirrus clouds.

Cumulus is also similarly inspired, though this time she's based on a barn owl.

Aurora is very Last Unicorn, Disney-esc, fantasy equine, almost slightly 80s anime-inspired. Sort of almost alien-looking.

Mountain is sort of based on a lot of fanon ideas, goat-inspired eyes, and ears. His horns are sort of moss-like and have vines and flowers growing on them. I also gave him freckles :)

Redesigning my OCs - Wanda Velozo

I finally continued the process! Here's Wanda with new color palettes that I've been holding off for almost 3 years and a slight upgrade on her guitar! Quite happy with this change.

I want to add a new bio for her since her old one is pretty outdated:

Wanda was born into a rich family. Her father owns a guitar company called "Velozo Guitars Inc." and thus she became enthused with the art of music and the beloved guitars her father gave her. Her home life wasn't always the best during her childhood. Her parent were divorced soon after she turned 8. Due to custody agreements, Wanda lived with her father while her two brothers lived with their mother. Only on special occasions was when she got to see her brothers. Near the start of high school, she was bullied to a breaking point and got into a massive fight with her bully. This caused Wanda to be expelled and transferred to another school outside of her hometown. She was transferred to a all-girls private school because her father thought that it would straighten her behavior. To his disappointment, she rebelled against the school. Meanwhile, she managed to gain a friend group where they formed a garage band and practiced during after school hours. Years pass and she's trying to bring her talent to light. She moved to her brother's apartment in California and started doing side shows day and night. This grabbed Jeff's attention at a music festival and he immediately lets her join his band called "Friendly Aspect".

Okay I wanna talk about my absolutely crackpot “the blonde actor is in the cult” theory again

So this guy, yeah?

He’s the only character introduced in SM 1 to not have any sort of significance (the character he formally shared this with, Bob, literally just got a focus episode, and surprise surprise it revealed he’s part of the cult)

His colors are teal and green, colors associated with the cult. Ignacio, who most likely is part of the cult, has a similar palette

Got a redesign for his appearance in Deadly Smiles that gave him a new, more distinct outfit. Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m 99% sure even among the slight redesigns the cast have had over the series, none of them got a new outfit that entirely replaced their original (the actress seen with this guy is wearing the same clothes in the movie from Tender Treats as she is in Deadly Smiles, implying this is his default outfit)

Him turning into a multi-eyed blob monster in the movie in Deadly Smiles could be foreshadowing for something, considering the movie in Tender Treats was a gag about Jaune flicking to a movie where a woman runs from a serial killer just as Lila calls her about Bob being outside her house

Also- I know Zach Fuller also voices Rick, and in general lots of people voice lots of characters in this show, but I do find it interesting that he shares his VA with The Comedian, who’s an abomination masking as a performer

Finally (and the thing that made me think of this damn thing in the first place), his eyes do the color change thing when he gets spooked by Ooga Booga

I like to HC that when spider styled his hair he would purposefully make each braid similar to the Sully children so they would always" be with him " in a way.

I gave him his father s blue eyes to act as a sharp contrast against his warm palette.

The inside of their skirt is a bright purple, and there are purple wisps around her decaying arm.

Liam has dark brown skin and eyes, glasses, thick black hair, and they don’t have a right arm. He’s wearing a green scarf and vest, the vest having a pastel green collar and trimming on the sleeves, green fingerless gloves, and dark green pants.

Marco has dirty blonde hair pulled into a ponytail, one light brown eye and one nearly white eye, pale skin, and some stubble. He has a lightning scar on the same side of his near-white eye, going from his chest up his neck and to his ear. He’s wearing a light blue V-neck sleeveless shirt that’s white at the top, grayish-blue elbow-length gloves, dark blue pants and even darker boots. He has a bag attached to a blue belt at his hip. /End ID.

Finished the redesigns! This took much longer than I was anticipating, but! I’m quite happy with them! Some I only made slight adjustments, like Walter and Vianna, and even Tilly’s design didn’t change too much (I adjusted xeir color palette and gave xem a prosthetic leg). 

Marco’s probably my favorite redesign; I really didn’t like his before and I’m much happier with this one. Also, there was no way he never hurt himself before with his lightning magic. I had to give him a scar. Same with Vianna and their own magic affecting her arm, and using magic to keep the damage from spreading/still being able to use that arm despite how bad it’s gotten.

Anyways! I’ve been procrastinating on this story for a LONG time now, so gonna try getting back into it soon! I’m real excited to go back to playing with these characters (I need to update the character intro thing on my writeblr now...)

Last month, I managed to finish alllll of the remaining OCs icons I wanted to be sure I had done before Art Fight, including me deciding to re-do two of them I had done earlier in the year. Though to be fair, Souma’s I only re-did ‘cause I hated how it looked. Chance, I gave a slight redesign too and a palette change, so it was necessary to re-do his.

I’m glad I managed to get them all done last month! And now everything’s properly updated with these icons on Toyhouse and Art Fight. ...Granted, they have been for a while. Since... last week... like when I didn’t post my card...

...Anyways yeah. Emera (the dark pink one) is new and yet another character I adopted from someone else (my buddy BeeBuzz, check ‘em out on Art Fight). That’s all I have to say bye.

ok i didn’t really change nu hai’s design, so much as her lore??? i always just.... assumed nu hai was just an older lei lei ever since that first episode where she holds a tigress action figure but im flip-flopping on it. i know i said that the au takes place literally right after the events of kfp3, but if it goes through the nu hai=lei lei angle then there’s at least a 7-10 year timeskip which complicates things! AAAA

the biggest difference is that bao and jing essentially switch color palettes/design elements. idk, it just made sense that attention-seeking bao would have medals on his vest (truth be told it initially confused me that jing had it and on first impression made her seem like a snooty overachiever...... which she isnt, not really) and be more colorful. i also changed up his attention seeking angle to be Theatre Kid as a nod to that one mini short where hes competing with mei mei. the chinese opera mask is just there as a nod and i needed to replace his hat/headband anyway

as a result of the palette/outfit swap, jing gets bao’s duller clothes palette which makes sense since shes essentially the one with the weird dark humor and didn’t seem to be all that egotistic. i also gave her the headband/changed her hairstyle to make her look more like a bruiser

fan tong needed a bigger face. it just always looked weird and also its hard for me to draw expressions on such a small face its like the Oogway Problem again but worse. changed up the color palette on his clothes, bc i like each kid having a color and nu hai’s already got red. i dont really like the palette for the patches, but like. shrug emoji

Some Notes On This Design;

hair actually feels like a combination of coles long hair/bun and jays wavy/curly hair as i draw it (it IS a ponytail !) 

poofy pants again (keeps coherency with the other fusion designs who also have them !) but this time with a slight cloudy gradient bc storm/lightning powers

orange flair ! when i was first doing his palette he did not have that, but i ran it by some friends and asked if they liked it better with or without the orange and they all said with ! 

arm bands and bracers (cute and also functional) 

stirrup leggings again and cloth shoes (also cute and functional)

blue nails painted with an orange accent nail since i couldnt work in the eyeshadow but wanted something not Traditionally Masculine

both cole and jay have an eye scar on the same side, so in atlas its exaggerated to look more like a lightning bolt across the face 

the face is a little too close to how i draw jay in this style but if i were to give him other features outside of this style i would balance it better so i dont have a problem with it !!

10 Lothal

Lothal is a fantastical world that first appeared in the animated series Star Wars: Rebels. Homeworld for Ezra Bridger and his band of rebels, Lothal is a small world in the outer rim, with grassland plains, spired rock formations, icy regions, and small regional cities.

Much of the design of Lothal, along with much of the Rebels series, was directly inspired by the original concept artwork of Ralph McQuarrie. Lothal shares many characteristics of early designs of Tatooine. It has the early days of Star Wars embedded in its concept and is just gorgeous to look at. Full of history with the Jedi and the birthplace of an influential rebel cell, it is the perfect planet to kick off this list.

9 Felucia

Felucia is one of the strangest looking planets in the galaxy. Dominated by giant plant and fungus life, the planet is covered in brightly colored features such as giant mushrooms and mountain-sized blossoms. While beautiful, the planet is certainly not the safest. As seen in the legends video game The Force Unleashed, the jungles of Felucia are filled with Rancor.

The planet has appeared in multiple media forms, including Revenge of the Sith, The Clone Wars, and multiple videogames. It is the site of Jedi Master Aayla Secura's death, as well as the legends death of Jedi Master Shaak Ti. It was a vicious battlefield of the clone wars but remains a beautiful galactic landscape.

8 Ahch-To

Mystery and history run plenty on the island planet of Ahch-To. Home to the first Jedi temple, the stressed island Caretakers, and the adorable Porgs, Ahch-To is an isolated but already iconic landscape of Star Wars. It was here where Luke Skywalker escaped in exile after his failure with Ben, and it is where Rey began her training as a Jedi.

This remarkable island landscape, filmed on the Irish island of Skellig Michael, needs little special effects to enhance it. Ahch-to is a marvelous example of Star Wars using real-world landscapes as alien worlds.

7 Mustafar

Mustafar certainly isn't a planet one would want to use for a long-term stay (well unless you're Darth Vader of course), but the aesthetic value of the planet is out of this world. Yes, pun intended. Mustafar had been whispered about since the end of Return of the Jedi when supplemental material hinted at a lava planet where Anakin and Obi-Wan had their final duel.

It finally appeared in Revenge of the Sith, setting the stage for one of the best battles of the saga. It has since appeared in Rogue One as well, home to Vader's ominous castle home. This appearance showed Mustafar in a far less apocalyptic, though no less scary light. Mustafar is a striking landscape that still must have stories to tell.

6 Coruscant

While the original trilogy embodied a grimy real-world aesthetic, the prequels went for a more fantastical aesthetic of giant spires and glitz and glamor. While it didn't always work, the introduction of Coruscant embodied the best of the efforts. The capital of the republic, and later the Empire, is one of the grandest sights in all of Star Wars.

It is home to the richest of the richest, and the poorest of the poor. Split up into different levels, Coruscant might seem like a blanket city-planet, but looking through other canon materials will reveal it is also home to grassy plains, a crime-ridden underbelly, and industrial wastelands. It has such a diverse offering of histories and vistas that it had to reach higher at our number six spot.

5 Kashyyyk

Kashyyk first appeared in the much-maligned Holiday Special back in 1978. It eventually inspired much of the standard treehouse design of the Ewok homeworld of Endor but was later redeemed by a slight redesign in Episode III.

One of the greater battles of the prequels, the battle of Kashyyyk showed off the full scope of the Wookie homeworld. The giant Bonzai like trees and their subsequent tree house spires are unlike anything else in the saga. Inspired by Chinese Riverlands, Kashyyk is the best forest planet in the series.

4 Crait

Crait is arguably the most gorgeous and aesthetically pleasing planet in the whole galaxy. This crystallized landscape mirrors that of snow planets like Hoth, but instead of snow was dotted by salt flats like that in Utah. When the salt was disrupted though, the landscape would give way to streaks of red crystal. The imagination behind this planet's design is unmatched.

Apart from its aesthetic quality, the site gave way to one of the most important moments in the whole series. Not only was it a near cataclysmic battle for the resistance, but it also marked the site of Luke Skywalker's last stand. This moment sparked a fire of resistance that will surely impact the event of The Rise of Skywalker. No matter what, the moment and the planet itself made a mark on the saga like the sands of Crait itself.

3 Naboo

Naboo was arguably the best planetary addition to the series that came out of the prequels. Unlike many of the planets seen in Star Wars, Naboo is home to multiple landscapes. There are lush green grasslands with strange ancient monoliths peeking out of the ground. Thick jungles penetrate outside the city.

Underwater kingdoms of Gungans fill the interior of the planet, while the city of Theed dominated the surface with Renaissance-like architecture. Just these four vistas appear in The Phantom Menace alone, not even mentioning the lake country in Attack of the clones. Naboo is gorgeous and unique beyond belief.

2 Bespin

While most of the original trilogy took place in rural farms or secluded wilderness, Bespin is the one instance of high-class urban living. This is one of the most magical vistas in the galaxy. The sleek domed spires of cloud city reach far down to the gaseous planet below. The color palette alone of the sunsets nearly earned Bespin the number one spot.

Apart from its fancy living and spectacular views, the fact that this was the site of the signature duel between Vader and Luke marks much importance. Bespin is the setting of arguably the greatest third act in movie history.

1 Tatooine

It might not look like much, but she's got it where it counts. Tatooine is quintessential Star Wars and the planet that started it all. The zaniness of Mos Eisley and its Cantina Denizens are so escapist its silly. Jabba's palace goes unmatched when it comes to villainous lairs, and the Jundaland wastes are home to some of the scariest aliens around.

But, it is the Lars homestead and its views of the twin sunsets that earn Tatooine the number one spot. Nothin captures that Star Wars aesthetic and tone more than that little simplistic vista. It is equally homey while holding the promise of a galaxy of adventure.
