the way that one line from the new epilogue in an astarion romance is going to HAUNT me

just. what a profoundly intense thing to confess to someone.

like, just these six months of newfound happiness with you exerts a force on his heart equal and in direct opposition to two centuries of endless torment, the gnawing hunger and exploitation. this flashbulb-bright fraction of his long life holds the same gravity to him as years upon years of darkness and suffering.

in all likelihood, he hasn’t even known his lover for as long as his worst memory lasted, that year sealed away to go mad from starvation and sensory deprivation, yet he still tells them this brief time has been so fundamentally and powerfully important that the weight of even that unimaginable hell is vanishingly small compared to this present he has now and the future ahead of them both.

how am i supposed to act normal about this.

Raphael having the time of his life on a Mediterranean holiday. All of this was prompted by ONE quote from the game where Raphael says "adieu" to the player even though French/France does not exist in Faerun. So the only logical explanation is our little princeling would use Dimension Doors to go across universes of course! You can get some of these as prints here!

THAT WAS THE DEAL!!!#...Is what I would have said had I not spent *four* days trying to draw a cool dramatic comic. This is all I have to show for it.#I also missed posting this on the Flondon anniversary so I'm double Smad and frustippointed at myself.#This is niche content but I know there are flondoners following me who will understand.#I had to make a second account because all my friends who I played with *also* picked Nemesis and dropped the game at various gates.#I failed every possible check at Knifegate. I was on the verge of madness. And yet I still love this game.#Little known secret about me: over 70% of the blogs I follow on tumblr are flondon rp blogs.#The cool art and character lore brings me a lot of joy!#With that said; what the hell is the coincidence that right as I finish Nemesis -#The flondon community starts a Nemesis Race.#Guys. it’s not worth it. It is a revenge quest about losing everything you have to see your task through.#All to culminate in the discovering that you are beefing it with a fanfiction writing bat.#That said; I do feel like this story was very satisfying for my melancholic doctor.#I knew I would get the choice between sparing or killing my nemesis (the bat) and I had a long time to think it through.#Someone who wants to save lives and (does as much as possible to do make things better for others) choosing against mercy?#Someone who never permitted themselves to let the city truly become a home because they were not a person - they were a tool for grief.#Alright..Yeah the ending was really good.#I will be back with a part two. Clearly I'm tenacious enough to commit to what I started.#If I am not excommunicated on sight by the flondon community I will be back with comics for the other ambitions.

So while I'm unlikely to have enough time to get another whole comic out before the new year, I recently got hit by the urge to just draw some random facts about Ember that I'm not sure will ever end up showing up in a comic.

I tend to forget that all of her comic appearances so far have given a pretty shallow idea of what she's really like, so I figured this might be a fun way to flesh her out a bit more.

No idea how many of these I'll end up doing. I have a bunch in mind but I doubt I'll actually get through all of them.

If anyone has anything specific they'd like to know about her, let me know! I can't promise I'll be able to do a piece of art to answer it, but who knows.

I am also planning on answering a bunch of asks some time soon, I just keep getting derailed by other things.

Minthara says “in Her name” when you first meet her and she’s following the Absolute but when you recruit her and she expresses that she no longer follows any god, but she still has an intact paladin oath, and she says “in your name” occasionally because she’s no longer Lolth’s paladin or the Absolute’s paladin, she’s your paladin

#😭#she might not think you’re a god or whatever but you’re the only one that ever came to save her #and if you let her read your mind you’re the only one she knows has no intention to hurt or use her #like I feel like what Minthara wants most of all is to not have to look over her shoulder or wait for the shoe to drop #like every relationship she’s had as a lolthsworn drow has come with the caveat that everyone will take her out if they have the chance #and if it benefits them even a little #lolth literally encourages this so long as you aren’t obvious about it #and lolth will 100% punish you the second she has an excuse to #and then the absolute like while she was being controlled probably felt more like genuine love than Minthara ever experienced #but it came with Orin and punishments for failing #and her being literallly mind controlled into her #so it’s still violent and threatening even if the extent of that is only realized after she’s pulled out of it #but then there’s you who pulled her out of that #who can clearly and plainly show her that you have no intention of hurting her even if it benefits you #and who went out of your way to rescue her when no one else she was devoted to ever would #and you offered her the means to not only stay safe from the absolute but to get revenge on it #of course it’s ‘in your name’ now you’re the only person that gave Minthara a reason for her to follow you #that wasn’t threats of violence and suffering #you literally gave her the opposite #she’s YOUR paladin it doesn’t matter if aren’t a god #you could be tho #Minthara #minthara baenre #bg3 #baldur's gate 3
