hey tumblr, dunno if this is of interest to you but i am gonna gardenpost at you cus it's really brought me a lot of happiness and i wanna share that, if possible!

here is the greenhouse we recently finished constructing

i love this guy. the garlic I planted in troughs outside it isn't far off done! maybe another month or so

inside the greenhouse, the tomatoes and peppers are becoming a thing! those flowers will turn into fruit and then into a dinner yum yum

the inside of the greenhouse! I have like 3 types of chili going cus chilis are best. also outside there's a bunch of plums on the little plum tree but I know I will never have these, they are destined for birdsnacks. i accept this

some blooms arriving in the garden proper, this peony hates me and will only do one flower total but that is its right. I planted those bellis daisies this year and I'm stoked at how well they've taken

an immense barrel that is gonna bloom a huge beautiful lily, just you wait and see

also while i was in the garden mulching the tomato plot i look up to check how the pumpking was doing and there were TWO pumpkins.

Real world duplication glitch. nature truly is beautiful.

The second pumpkin needs to ripen a bit but this one is just fine. Bit cracked from the drought / big rains tho but i love it anyway. Yipee !!

Jury’s out on whether global warming is a net gain or loss for my habaneros (late frost but also, stupid warm winter-> no winterkill-> hungry deer-> hopping the chest-high garden fence to browse the leaves off my pepper plants, neither of which are things they typically like to do) but this one is very tenaciously producing despite the bad haircut

more gardening adventures!! these mushrooms have started growing in my raised bed!! the left pic is them in an earlier stage looking all cute and then after a few days they turned into these creepy, gothic-looking things dripping black goo!! god nature is sick as fuck

apparently mushrooms growing is a good sign of really healthy soil so i'm very excited!! also constantly fighting the urge to taste the forbidden shrooms (jokes, i have no intention of doing that cos i have no idea what they are or if they'd kill me. i've joined a mushroom identification group just to find out what they are but even if i am told they are harmless im not risking that shit)

My Iris bloomed! If I was a fairy I'd fashion a frock out of her petals, her colour and details are just so lovely <3 Other garden updates include...

relaid the stones in the entire garden (they used to lay diagonally which irked me ever since I made planters). I'm not thrilled with having stones at all but see no other alternative because of the trash and paper bins

the rose- new dawn- is showing buds! so glad I haven't given up on her (she's had her terrors). The plumbago also woke up and turned green what seemed like almost overnight

mistakenly thought I was victorious but alas, I am still battling the snails.

a colleague surprised me with a propagation of hedge woundwort (cos I talked about my snail troubles and empty shadow spots a while ago. So sweet of her!)

speaking of shadowy plants, even the little Christmas tree from years back and a previously sickly Rosemary have been growing some

Ok I'm back. I didn't actually go anywhere. I just haven't been posting because...idk. Been busy. Haven't drawn much either. I will get around to the Endeavour requests eventually, when my motivation returns from the war lol.

But you know what I did do? Grow some honkin' big zucchini.

yes we have had some and they are delicious. yes I see the yellowing. the cucumbers are firing off like crazy too, we basically have infinite cumbs. the bell peppers less so cus they got snailed, alas

the jalapenos are not popping this year, alas. I think they liked my porch better. oh well, live and learn

flower corner! got some calendula and I think these sunflowers might actually bloom, though they are quite late. very exciting to grow these guys from seed!

and a new project- TATERS. they cannot be stopped, these mad lads, the sprouts just keep coming!

lastly, I harvested my garlics! it's so much garlic. heaven

today has been a day of resting while also trying to sort out my life. cos the house has fallen into ruin. anyway i went out and spent like 2 hours in the garden. she's still a lil messy but we're figuring it out! i need a new lawn mower

pictured: courgette plant, strawberry colossus (these ones didn't get dug up 😎), some marigolds, runner beans (i hope they'll start taking off soon!), a raspberry bush, more strawberries, and some roses! oh, and a cat 😌
