Idk if I'll ever expand on this, but I needed to get it out (Part 2, Part 3)

Nightmare King

Pretty plain and simple. He's a culmination of nightmares, and his form never really stays the same. Right now, he's chosen a large wolf as his main form, which is a dark navy blue. One thing always stays constant with him, is his peiricing yellow eyes and his black crown made of jagged deepstone with a red ruby as its centerpiece.

He's very brash and rude, oftentimes being snarky and sarcastic, but this is because of the stereotypes placed upon him by those that have seen him. He feels like anyone will take him seriously if he plays into how they expect him to act, so he does. But beneath all that is someone who longs for actual connection.

He has dominion over nightmares, darkness, the night, and the moon in his world.

Deepling and Darkling

His two minions, proudly named by Nightmare King. They're small comets, and Deepling (she/her) is the navy blue comet, while Darkling (she/her) is the coal black comet. Nightmare King treats them both very well and would rather die than ever harm them. Both of them know that he's a good person beneath all his troublesome ways, and they hope to help him see that he doesn't need to be this way.

They speak in turn, finishing the others sentence. They have a telepathic link as well, able to alert the other to anything going on. They're both soft spoken, and always have an eye out for making sure their King accomplishes his goals.

Dream King

Plain and simple as well. He's a culmination of dreams, and his form is always changing. Currently, he has the form of a very, very fluffy cat with a mane that more resembles a fur boa. His colors are a soft purple and blue, and his eyes are always closed. The only constant of him is his white crown made of quartz with a green emerald as its centerpiece.

He's kind and soft-spoken. He and his friends often put a stop to Nightmare King's schemes and plans. However, he knows that what his counterpart does is all a farce and a mask to hide how he truly feels. Dream King is more than willing to accept the other with open arms once Nightmare Sorts himself out.

He has dominion over dreams, light, the day, and the sun.

Brightlet and Brightlight

Dream King's friends, taking on the appearance of small starts! Brightlet (he/him) is a neon yellow, while Brightlight (he/him) is a neon orange! Both are excitable and friendly, very much extroverts and wanting to make new friends. They often end up speaking over each other, but they can always get their point across.

Sleep Sovereign

The Embodiment of Sleep. Has been asleep after creating Nightmare King and Dream King and will likely never wake up anytime soon. They have the form of a giant sheep and rest in a realm made of clouds.

Irene Emeril

A young girl with the ability to invoke either Nightmare King or Dream King's powers, and only Sleep Sovereign's if the situation is absolutely dire. She's around 13, though she has the entire weight of the world on her back.

Her Earth is currently being threatened by The Ruinous and The Bright, two organizations that want to carry out Nightmare King's and Dream King's 'agendas' personally. Despite.. not being able to contact either of them.

With the help of the respective kings and their underlings, Irene sets out to not only save her Earth but also figure out how to stop the two deities from trying to adopt her. (She doesn't have the best home life, and both are LIVID over it.) And also figure out how she can invoke their powers.

(It comes from the fact that her ancestor was just a genuine person with the two deities, and the duo shared a small fragment of their power with the ancestor. It's never explained how Sleep Sovereign's powers are with Irene. At least not until I figure it out.)

ever since the announcement dropped i cant Not think abt eow's zelda joining the chain like rationally? probably legend's hyrule, also just like. Wouldn't Happen but also. if it's a seperate hyrule and it does happen, THE WHIMSY??? THE ABSOLUTE SILLINESS THAT WOULD PURSUE??? post-totk wild and echo (eow zelda) would be the absolute worst together /pos. (and on this train of thought, i do wonder if she could make an echo of wild since he died. everyones speedrunning gray hairs baybee)

But in Wind Waker - when Link is cautious to enter the holding cell - the Master Sword wiggles to let him know it's safe to proceed ^^

And keep in mind, this was years before Skyward Sword and Fi were even created, but it seems like the Zelda team were playing with the idea of the sword being alive.

I played a mean third base! My back-catch and I played on the same team for about 7 years and we were like telepathically connected I swear 🤣 my last 2 years I had a coach realize the potential in short stop so I was there a lot! And occasional right field if we had strong hitters 💅🏼

Part 1 | Part 2

Max - The Ruinous

A high-ranking member of the Ruinous, and a reoccurring boss/villain. Typically seen wearing a dark blue cloak with moon embroidery on it. The hood only comes down during story scripted events.

Batshit insane, just like his The Bright counterpart, Roan. Both are willing to do whatever it takes to bring Irene over to their side and do not care who gets hurt or killed by the end of it.

At the end of each stage, based on The Ruinous and their action, he either appears as the boss of the end stage or he summons a boss to fight Irene. There's a unique game over screen in that it's Max or the summoned boss dragging Irene off if she fails any of these boss fights.

During the final boss fight against him, it's a culmination of all the summoned boss creatures he has and his own skills. It's left ambiguous if Irene actually killed him or not.

"He seemed like such a good man before The Ruinous got to him.. Why do you think he let himself fall like that?" - Irene, dialogue after defeating Max.

"Sometimes people do things to forget the past and have hope for a good future. But lets hurry, Dream King can feel Roan's power growing." - Nightmare King, following Max's defeat.

Roan - The Bright

A high-ranking member of The Bright and a reoccurring boss/villain. Typically seen wearing a white cloak with sun embroidery on it. The hood only comes down during story events.

Somehow, the more intense one, but that's meant to reflect how light isn't always a force for good. While Max is willing to play far, Roan isn't, and during his boss battles, he will play dirty and use tricks. But he won't summon anything.

During the final boss fight against him, he's a lot more desperate not to lose, and so he's summon The Bright enemies, and also using new attacks. You can absolutely feel his desperation in how he attack.

Once he's defeated, its left ambiguous if Irene killed him or not.

"My eyes are still burning.. I wonder why Roan joined The Bright. He didn't seem that affected by the war.." - Irene, dialogue after defeating Roan.

"It's something we'll look into later. Hurry, we need to shut down the organizations' power generators so that you can accomplish what you came here for!" - Dream King, following Roan's defeat.

End Game

Irene overloads the power generators of each building, blowing up the buildings and anything useful that was inside. While she's upset that she won't be able to find more information, she reasons that it was for the best.

Meanwhile, the actual founders of The Ruinous and The Bright watch from the respective rubble of their buildings smiles on their shadowed faces..

Irene is rightfully skeptical that this is actually over, but DK and NK assure her that even if it isn't, they'll be there to help her. She's very thankful.

While it ends happy, there's a split cutscene, showing Max and Roan's bodies being dragged away by members of their respective organization.. looks like it isn't over yet.

I genuinely did not expect that I would be able to do much today since I was just being silly but here we are!! lets do this again sometimes and maybe invite others in a more coordinated and not so late hour but the brainrot demanded it huh?/lh

Luigi’s Mansion 3 x LU? 👀 👀 👀 That’s such a fascinating concept, tell me more!!! (And maybe Malon and Wolfie, too, if you have the time/inclination? 🙏 )

I haven't posted a lot of work yet, so don't feel bad :)

Luigi's Mansion 3! Yes, that is a fun one. It all started with the 12th floor of the ghost's hotel.

The pirate floor.

I started thinking about how much Wind would love every aspect of that floor and made a comic about it (I traced a screenshot of the background it was painstaking). I also thought it would be funny if Shadow somehow hijacked Gooigi and Four had to explain and well. Now I had to find a story, didn't I?

The game itself starts with the Mario gang on a road trip, headed for the hotel. My story starts at their last stop, a restaurant where Luigi vaguely overhears the Chain from where they're sitting in the corner, discussing their latest ghostbusting job. Just a passing thing, and Luigi wants no part of that, thank you. After Mario and friends are kidnapped, who shows up in the basement but Wind. The two team up and rescue everyone else, Mario AND Links, starting with Twilight. Wind and Twi are constantly together and arguing because Twi is super stressed and getting overprotective. Sky also shows up early on, because he was late, and so not kidnapped. It was good in this case. :)

The game pretty much progresses like normal, but with wayyy more people and more reactions and character development. As they rescue others, they split up to move faster, and the very last Link is Time. (followed by Mario, and of course, Peach.) There's this whole side plot about Shadow the ghost and Four and secrets, and some more sinister stuff I came up with off the ghosts reaction at the end of the game. >:)

I let Luigi keep his last stand because Luigi is amazing we love him. He rescues everyone by himself, although maybe Shadow is there too idk. Then they all celebrate and part ways, the end!

So yeah! Modern ghost busting au with Luigi's Mansion setting! Such a great game, it really is.

This is getting long so I'll just leave Goo-Shadow here, (referencing this post and @jojo56830's work, thank you!) but bug me some more bc I've got some other art!

If you could make one of these options real which would you rather: Blaze appear in every Sonic movie going forward or Blaze the Cat the game and it plays like windwaker mixed with frontiers. Where ik the Sol dimension Marine takes Blaze on her S.S. Super Marine from island to island.

btw idk if you know this, but if you're dealing with some bad lower back pain and it feels super tight down there, go find something you can safely dead hang from (no activation of muscles aside from hanging on like you're gonna do a pull up). Tree branches, monkey bars, pull up bar, whatever you have nearby. Hang for 30 seconds on, then take a break, then repeat a couple times. This can decompress your vertebrae and give a whole bunch of relief.

This is coming from someone who recently got pulled on my ass by a 40 pound cattle dog who'd seen a squirrel, and I landed pretty hard, wound up compressing my back for a few days. This is the only thing that helped haha. Stretching, foam rolling, etc wasn't addressing the root issue. This is good if you take a hard fall (landing on your ass or on your feet), or if you just sit a lot in general. Helps a TON with your lower back.

what are your top 5 zelda dungeons? :0

Number 1: snowpeak ruins. easy. it is a dungeon about soup and yeto is my best friend. but seriously i usually hate ice dungeons and ice physics but the ball and chain is so fun to use and the vibe of the mansion is so cool and yeto has soup for me to eat for free! soup dungeon!

order doesn't matter so much with the next 4 snowpeak is just my top favorite always

anyways taking 2-5th place we've got:

Tower of spirits (spirit tracks) because although it is scary and annoying at times I just love having zelda there in a giant suit of armor. and a lot of the puzzles are fun to solve

Dancing dragon dungeon (oracle of seasons) the dungeon itself is not actually super interesting or memorable but the name (dancing dragon dungeon) is so fun and also the music is fire it is stuck in my head constantly

Thieves hideout (a link between worlds) i just think this dungeon is fun i like it when you have to use a second person in your puzzles and i think the gimmick with the boss (using ravio's bracelet to fuse with the shield) is really cool. overall i think that albw dungeons are really good, theyre like what if alttp wasn't really hard 😭

Temple of time (twilight princess) i limited myself to only 2 twilight princess dungeons but in general twilight princess dungeons are really fun. um a lot of people arent super big fans of the temple of time bc of the backtracking you have to do but i like it when you go through a dungeon and then you get to go through it again or retrace different areas with new tools and perspectives :) anyways i like the dominion rod a lot i think its fun and in the temple of time you get to use a lot of the hidden skills esp backslice my love so thats fun also
