I'm probably a bit late to the Valentine's party, but I would like to profess my love for frogs. They are quite frankly an amazing little organism. They're Amphibious, not quite lizards, and have funky little vertebrae. They hatch from eggs, have a tail all through adolescence, and live on every continent besides Antarctica. They swallow with their eyeballs, have only one set of teeth, and a tongue hinged at the front. They eat what bugs them and are totally chill. They are also friend shaped. This is unlikely to be a frog, but I wish to declare frogs.

Fanfiction Writer Apperation Post!

Ayo all Merp here! I hope everyone is having a great time whatever time zone you got. I'm a simply derpy ass artist that likes to draw stuff that the Internet has shown me! That includes lovely fanfiction stories I tend to read a lot about. Which is why this post is here to bring a HUGE appreciation for someone in the SMG4 community more from the SMG34 squad! My great friend and a badass from many projects featuring their own series such as "Next Step With You!", @shygirl4991 !

We all have known them from many spots that they are part of like the one they are doing with @lizaluvsthis in "Brewing Romance", "The Chains of a Fragile Soul" with @b-r-i-n-g-x , and "Spilt Into Three's/Six Splits For Four" with the artwork done by @alianarepasa !

They have also done some cool group collab with lots of people, bringing out the artworks each group puts out such as "Coffee Prince and The Frog" (collab with Liz and Aly), and "Shadow Vision" (Bringx, Liz and Aly)!

They never fail to be inspired by many other people that sometimes have ideas for our favorite gays but either don't have the time to do them or they want to do it but don't know how to put into words! Some of these beautiful ideas that came to life thanks to Shay's amazing writing skills are "Just A Dream", "Trade For You" ideas inspired by @therabbitdemon , and "Death Of SMG3" requested by @anartisticalniche !

I had the honor of making the cover art for their cute fluffy "Doll Confessions" fic they made a while back collabing with Bringx's adorable GMod photos she did! Even though what got me into their stories was through "Brewing Romance", there's another story that got me into them and had me always checking fanfiction sites to see if they made anything new and that's one of their many solo projects "Azure Potion!"

It's always fun making art covers for them or draw out characters they've created over time with the plethora of stories done by our lovely writer! I highly recommend checking out their other solo stories such as "Forklift Date", "Mistletoe Wars", "True Colors", "Trapped In a Bleakly Winter", and "A Shot of SMG34"!

There's definitely more stories they've written for these lovey gays but it's gonna take me a while to put them on here lol. Nonetheless while we artist have a blast in creating art for all your favorite fanfictions, please don't forget to show some love to the brains behind the whole thing! Without them, we wouldn't be able to enjoy making all the amazing art to show our love and appreciation for ALL of their hard work! It’s been a while since I made a story unrelated to requests … I just felt like doing something a little different since I recently noticed that we have reached 110 followers , which is just -

I really wanted to take the opportunity to thank you all so much for being so supportive of my little headcanons and stories for Bullfrog and Rayman , you’re all really amazing and kind and you’ve really made me feel like home here on Tumblr …

Now then , onto the actual story , I’ve recently stumbled upon this beautiful French song , and at some point a random inspiration for a Bullfrog fic hit me : 

what if the reader decided to surprise their beloved frog boy by singing him this song ? Maybe for a special occasion , like the one year anniversary of the relationship ? 

It just seemed too wholesome of a concept for me to let go , so I ended up writing this :,) 

I also added a translation in English for the lyrics , because it’s just so cute and it melted my heart when I read it ;//;

It had been a very long , tiresome day for Bullfrog …

The last mission the Warden had assigned him and his companions had been filled with complications , and this could easily be guessed by his bruises and ripped clothes .

Even as someone who took pride in his job , he yearned for nothing more than to find a quiet place to rest … hopefully in the arms of his beloved .

He also hadn’t forgotten about what a special time this was , so before going back to you he had managed to pass by a flower shop and buy a bouquet of your favorite flowers : the thought of your smile in front of his gift was the one thing that was keeping him from dropping on the ground for sheer exhaustion .

Bullfrog stopped , slightly alarmed by the fact that you weren’t behind the door to greet him like usual :

But it was then that he heard it : someone was playing the piano in the living room , and when he finally reached it his eyes widened …

Before you could even realize it , the distance between your faces diminished more and more , until eventually your lips met into a much anticipated and needed kiss .

You closed your eyes , letting out a sigh while holding Bullfrog in your arms , and you could feel all the tension in his body instantly melt to your touch as he gladly leaned into it …

Eventually you both pulled away , staring into each other’s eyes and enjoying that precious moment of intimacy .

Grian is overdramatic and sick

Grian usually never got sick. Key word usually. His so-called ‘higher status’ prevented him from having to deal with the feeble symptoms of the weather or bacteria. Why would an Eldritch God need to get sick when they could just snap their fingers and wish it away? When Grian felt the first tickle in his throat he did just that, or tried to. He slept comfortably in his bed, knowing his sickness was going away when the sun rose from the sky. It was only when he woke up that he realized his punishment extended from just living among the players. He also had to live like them. Experience something he only enjoyed from a third person perspective in first person. Great. Amazing. Super super fun. 

He tried getting out of bed, but his arms felt like lead. Why couldn’t he move? He took a deep breath, but he couldn't breathe from his nose. When he tried, a horrible noise graced his ears. His nose was clogged with… something. His only option was breathing out of his mouth. He found the experience to be quite horrid after about five seconds. 

He needed to tell people about this. Make sure someone knew his suffering, his pain, his-

Grian thought Scar took his sweet time getting there. His head felt like it was being squeezed by a giant rubber band, yet somehow remained in a hazy fog all the while. Why couldn’t his body just pick one symptom, instead of all of them? It would be so much better if it was only one symptom, but no. That would be easy. Instead, he felt like he was dying. He was dying, for all he knew. He’d never experienced this before.

“Grian? Grian?” he heard the melodious voice of Scar, drawing out the ‘e’ syllable on his second call. “Where oh where could he be? G oh G-man.”

Grian tried to let him know he was, in fact, stuck in bed. All that came out was a weak croak. He cringed at himself. This was all he was able to do? Would he be doomed to this horrid fate forever? 

“Was that a frog I heard? He knows I need them for my zoo train, yet he’s hoarding all of them. The injustice!” 

Grian rolled over in his bed. Let Scar find him in this miserable state, then he’d be sorry. 

“Seriously, where could this man be?” Scar mumbled after a while. His voice was getting closer and closer to where he was. Lying down, dead to the world. Or he wished he was dead. 

“There you ar- oh my god,” he immediately rushed to the side of his bed. “What happened to you? You’re so… pale.” “You don’t think I know that, Scar? I feel like someone just took all of my well being and threw it into the void.” “So you’re sick.” “That’s what you call it?”

“Sickness, illness, maladie if you fancy some french-” “I don’t.” 

Grian didn’t have time for humour right now. He needed to get better, and fast. 

“How fix?” he croaked.

“Well uh- what’re you feeling? What’re your symptoms?”

“Dry throat, stuffy nose, sore limbs, my eyes hurt… I could go on.”

“Wow… okay then. Well, have no fear! I’ll go and make my Scar Safe Illness Fighter. I’m trying to get it patented, but the guy at the permit office is a real jerk. Keeps putting me on hold.”

Before Grian could even say anything, he was gone again. He sighed in frustration, all he wanted was Scar’s company.

It took Scar half an hour to make his reappearance. He was lugging a cart of goods behind him. Quickly assembling a table, he then went on to place chicken soup, pastina, tea, milk, honey, noodles, and a small tin of crackers on it. 

“Oh my…” Grian sat up. “This is your illness cure?” “It’s a work in progress. I just took all the things that make me feel better when I’m sick and made them.” 

“That’s a lot.” “Anything for a friend, right?” Grian nodded his agreement, pouring himself some tea. 

“So, you like never get sick. How’d you manage it this time?”

Chapter 3 of "This is the Neighborhood Din" Series

Din Djarin (Modern AU) x Sierra Harris (plus size OFC)

This fic is for readers 18+ MDNI

Word Count: about 2.6k

Warnings: Brief mention of injuries, awkward texting, HOA beef, boyfriends alert, that one nosy coworker, Grogu is adorable

Summary: Things have been a bit off between Din and Sierra, though individually they are doing well. Luke and Greef agree to disagree and our boyfriends are here! Dinner usually makes things better, maybe.

Notes: We meet more characters in our neighborhood or at least in Din and Sierra's orbit. I did my best with the teaching and mechanical engineering stuff. 👀 I did figure out how to make dividers finally! 😍

Main Masterlist/ Din Djarin - The Mandalorian Masterlist/ This is the Neighborhood Din Series

Two days. Sierra hasn’t spoken to Din for two days. She’d mainly been hiding in her room. She’d actually seen more of Din’s son Grogu. Johnnie Mae and Sierra never spoke about the other night, she just helped change her bandages in silence. She felt bad for not telling the truth to her aunt. Johnnie Mae felt offended that Sierra thought she couldn’t tell her. She should be able to tell her anything.

Today, Sierra had to leave the house to go into the middle school she’s supposed to be teaching at. She’d done the background check, now it was ID photos and to meet the department head of the sciences to check in. Her hair is on top of her head in a tight bun with her favorite poppy red scrunchie in it, she made sure her edges were as flat as she could get them. She wore her brown flats, a navy blue skirt and a black button down shirt. She didn’t tuck it in to cover her tummy so she pulled her skirt up and over. It was a long sleeve shirt to cover the bandages, there were a few less thankfully but she didn’t need any questions of that nature at her new job. This is a new start. All of it is a new beginning.

“Good morning Ms. Sierra!”

A small voice called her name as she saw bouncing chocolate curls before seeing his cute little face. He was waving as his father stood behind him in a red Henley shirt, a sweatshirt tucked over his brown satchel and a gray lunchbox in his opposite hand. Grogu held his bright green lunch box with a large frog on it. He ran up to Sierra. “How are you? You’re going out today? You usually are working on a project in your room right? Miss Harris said it’s a difficult one. Good luck!” The sweet little boy said before heading over to his father’s black SUV. Din nodded and his son quickly puffed out his cheeks. “Daddy! You’re supposed to say good morning, manners are important right? Isn’t that what Uncle Greef says?” Din chuckles and turns to face Sierra.

“Good morning Sierra. You look pretty today. Something important?” He asked. He was curious about so much more, but it isn’t the right time to ask at 7:30 in the morning. She’s been avoiding him and he understands but he couldn’t help but wonder how she was doing after such an intimate moment. She doesn’t expect him to really put it out of his mind right? Sierra smiled and nodded.

“Yes. I’ve gotten most of my stuff set up at my new school so I’m meeting with the science department head to get a feel of what they’re teaching and how I can fit into it. I’m excited but also so nervous. I just hope it goes well.” In explaining, she touches her left arm, the worse of the two, she released it as soon as she noticed that Din looked down at her arm. “It’s a lot better. I…maybe in another week or two.” She doesn’t want to go into any detail, not with little Grogu here. She hoped he wouldn’t ask anymore, not right now.

“That’s great. And you’ll do an amazing job. They’ll be lucky to have you. Let me know how it goes tonight.” Din offered, he wanted to extend an invitation, a reason for them to talk. At least he would know if she was willing to. Grogu had opened the door and was up in the truck. 

“Daddy! We can’t be late! You made a wrong turn the last time!” Grogu yelled, making both Din and Sierra look over at the truck. Din waved and so did Sierra who hopped in their vehicles and drove off to start their days.

Johnnie Mae watched from her screen door with a grin. “Maybe I won’t have to do anything, ‘cept keep an eye out to make sure that bastard never goes near her again. Thank God they’re divorced.”

Greef Karga did not see himself as a difficult man. He felt he was fair as far as the leader of the Homeowners Association was concerned. Most people in the neighborhood conformed to the rules about grass length, approved colors on the siding and shutters. Even roof material. There was one thorn in Greef’s side. He thought it might have been the Djarin’s who he knew through some business dealings with metal supplies for different universities and labs. They’ve settled in well so far.

Greef was walking toward the house in question, Luke was sitting in his usual spot on his porch, drinking his brand of liquor - Blue Space Milk.

“Hey Greef, what can I do for you today?”

Standing at the top of his steps, his hands were on his hips as he sucked his teeth. 

“You know what Luke. At the very least, the trailer that I’ve never seen you use. You don’t have any registered business that you can use it with.”

Luke chuckled as he took a swig of his blue liquor, some of it dribbled in his beard and wiped on the bottom of his tan sweater. 

“It’s on my property, I don’t see why you’re worried about it. There was just someone who moved in a few days ago. Clearly property values aren’t too bad. Like you keep claiming it would bring down prices.”

Greef rolled his eyes and sat down across Luke. “One thing Luke. If not the trailer, then the grass. I’ve seen three snakes in the last two weeks.”

Luke stroked his beard and leaned back in his chair. “I’ll think about it, if you buy me some more Blue Space Milk.”

“That shit is $100 a bottle and I don’t like your dusty, cranky, lazy ass. I’m not buying you a damn thing.”

“That’s a damn shame, Greef. I’m not doing shit.”

Greef snickered and stood up. “That’s alright Luke. I know someone who can motivate you. See you later.” Karga walked back down the porch stairs and threw Luke a thumbs up while the grumpy bearded man tipped his bottle toward him. Skywalker didn’t have the foggiest idea what Greed could be up to. He hadn’t been able to get him to comply with rules thus far, so he wasn’t worried about it.

Din watched as Grogu ran towards the double doors after giving him a hug. He’d be able to drop him off at school the first month, but after that, he needs to be at work at 7am and off by 4pm but thankfully in addition to being able to play with the other kids, Ms. Harris would keep Grogu for before and after school care. After making sure his son was safely in school, he pondered if he should send a text to Sierra. He did have her number for the other night but he didn’t know if it would be a bit much. They did at least speak today. He decided he would think about it more as he headed to work.

Sierra had finished her short meeting with the principal and was on her way to meet with the science department head. Things went well, the principal said that depending on how things went, next year, she might be able to join as a full time teacher instead of just subbing. Thinking about this morning, he’d reached out even though he didn’t have to. She honestly thought it was best not to speak to him, keep her distance. She believed that she had put way too much on him in their first meeting. But despite that, Sierra’s mind wandered to how he held her, how safe she felt, that he told her it was okay to be fragile. 

Thinking about it made her cry. Half the time she thought it was because he pitied her, but she thought about what he said and did. Asking if it was okay, apologizing because he thought he may have done something to make things worse. The care Din showed her in that one evening. Sierra needed time to accept it, that it’s alright. 

She arrived at the department head’s office and she was finishing up a call so she decided to send him a text. Opening her messages, she saw the cute pictures of Grogu and her aunt napping on the couch. Sighing with a soft smile, Sierra sent him a text:

Good morning Din. So far things went well with the principal and I’m going to meet with the department after her call. I hope you and Grogu are having a good day. Maybe you should come by for dinner tonight with Grogu. If you’d like. 

The department head got off her call and waved Sierra in. She entered with an extra pep in her step. She was taking another small step forward.

Din was in the middle of applying a concentrated torch to a sheet of aluminum alloy to see if by adding bronze to it would help increase it’s melting point and also be cost effective. So far, the temperature was up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit in the testing chamber as Din, Ray and Finn watched the experiment closely, taking notes. That way, it could be used to withstand temperatures needed for all sorts of applications. While bringing the temperature down, they discussed what they were going to eat for lunch. Din had packed his own from home, Ray did the same and Finn was waiting on his ride.

“I swear, he’s always late! He’s lucky he has all that curly hair and other attributes…” Finn’s voice trailed off as Din and Ray snickered. They knew exactly what Finn was referring to as it referenced his boyfriend. John and Mark, who’d helped Din move in, stopped by their lab to ask how things were going in the new house. Din said they were going well and that his neighbors were proving to be really hospitable. As they chatted, Rey chimed in asking about Grogu and school. Din said that it had only been a day but he was taking to it well, already having a friend in Quinton who they both originally met at Ms. Harris’ home.

“Hello good people! Have you seen an intelligent gentleman with a perfect brown leather jacket on?” A voice that they were all familiar with had them turning toward the door, with arms stretched out, only two buttons secured so all of his chest wouldn’t be out and bouncing obsidian curls with a bright white smile to match strolled slowly into the lab. 

Ray rolled her eyes hard and pointed to Finn who had stood up, picked up back and threw his arms round Poe’s shoulders. “You need to stop running late. I only have thirty minutes for lunch.” Poe kissed Finn’s neck and pulled back.

“I know, I know, but where we’re going has that coconut cream pie you love. Then I’ll make it up to you later.” 

“You naughty pilot you. Alright, let’s go.” Finn grinned and as he walked out, he popped a palm on Poe’s ample derriere. 

Din and company chuckled and went to his workstation. He let Rey chat with John and Mark while he went to go eat his lunch. He had a chicken sandwich with pringles and a strawberry applesauce cup that Grogu had stuck in his lunch that morning stating that he needed more color in his lunch and some fruit. He smiled at the applesauce and wondered if Grogu was having a good day too. He took out his phone and saw a notification and his eyebrows raised at the name: Sierra Harris. Din read it three times, trying to make sure there weren't any hidden meanings, there were not. He texted her back:

Good afternoon Sierra. Sorry for not seeing this earlier. I was working in the lab and I usually leave my phone at my workstation for safety. I hope things went well with the department head. They’ll make you full time by next year. We’d love to come by for dinner tonight. Let me know what time we need to be there.

Din sent it as Rey peeped over his shoulder. “Who’s Sierra? She’s met Grogu, that sounds serious.” Din closed his eyes and then looked up at Rey, annoyed. 

“You don’t have to be in everyone’s business Rey. Go back over to John and Mark. Nothing over here is any of your concern.” He stated flatly. Rey was a good colleague, though, but a busybody. He made sure that for the first two years of working with her, she didn’t know he had a kid. Of course when she found out, she took it upon herself to match him up with single moms and women into DILFs. A term he didn’t need to know about and was sorry he knew about. Rey took the hint and left him alone as he peered back at his phone. Three dots were rolling across the screen.

Sierra replied: Dinner will be at six tonight. I look forward to seeing you. What did you mean by safety? Do you work a dangerous job? My meeting with the department head went well. I start next week as there’s a teacher out with COVID. 

Um, is this a lot? This texting during the day? Since your job is dangerous, maybe I shouldn’t.

Din saw her delete the second message and he chuckled when she wrote:

You saw that didn’t you? How lame is that? It is too much, isn’t it?

His response was swift as he didn’t want her to spiral which to looked that was already in progress:

Texting me is fine. I won’t always be able to answer because I handle volatile compounds at work. That and I’m usually the one telling my co-workers to not be on the phone all the time. It’s not too much. Just type what you want to say Sierra.

Sierra could hear each message in the same comforting voice from two days ago. It made her smile as she leaned against her car, getting ready to head back home. She figured she would type it since he said to type what she wanted to say:

I didn’t say it the other night and I should have. Thank you so much for what you both said and did Din. That entire day for me was insane and I could only process so much. I should have said it sooner. I’ll explain better in person. I owe you that, tonight after dinner.

Din decided against telling her that she didn’t need to explain anything to him. He did want to know everything about what happened the other day and what led up to it. He’d only known her for a few days so he’ll take what information he can get.

You’re welcome Sierra. Tell me what you’re comfortable with. There’s plenty of time. I look forward to our sit down after dinner.

Din could kick himself…’sit down’? That sounds like she’s in trouble. Being team leader of these goofballs and Grogu’s dad might have rendered his vocabulary a bit lacking. Sierra only laughed at his word choice and got in her car to go home. She’s going to bake a cake tonight. It’s going to be special.

Ta-da! Today we have the first audio drama, or rather, the introduction, the main story for this CD is on another track. In total there were 10 audio drama CDs, two sets of 5 with each album being tied to a different frog

The uploads for these will have a one day break on either side, as well as a shorter track, partially because writing out the story will take more time, and partially because I calculated how many tracks there are in total and it turns out I started this a little too early; there are some seasonal songs I wanted to post around the corresponding time, and this will pad things out just enough to let me do that

N: Any way, in an ugly, hostile environment like this, will the Pekopon invasion CD be born?

1-It's a parody of the warnings that started being placed at the beginning of animated shows after flashing lights in the Porygon episode of Pokemon caused photosensitive migraines & seizures. The warnings tell viewers to sit a good distance from the screen and to keep the room well lit since this reduces the photo sensitive effect, but since it's a CD it doesn't really effect anything.

2-Keroro's ending sentences "de arimasu" is derived from military speech and translated as "yes sir" to reflect that, while Dororo's "de gozaru" is both formal and archaic (the modern counterpart is "gozaimasu"), so I translated it as "good sir" to have a similar feel.

3-The pattern for the proposed titles is, of course, modeled off the episode titles, but "volume" ("title" no maki) actually means something closer to roll, a lot of works use this pattern which dates back to when everything was written on scrolls.

4-I had to fudge this one because it doesn't translate neatly; you've probably noticed from listening that Japanese has multiple options for first person pronouns that have different associations and how well a character's categories match to the "I" they use can tell you more about them.

Keroro normally uses "Wagahai" which is an old fashioned and slightly arrogant sounding way of calling yourself (it's a bit like saying "my esteemed self") and is sort of a more archaic counterpart to the modern "Ore-sama". But during his meltdown, he uses "Boku" which it typically used by boys and younger men, in this case to make him sound more childish.

....Either way, it's a little ironic that Tamama's the one complaining about Keroro doing this since he also uses a more childish speech pattern.

MARCH: In Which, Beans Are Not Beans, Eggs Are Everyplace and I Have To Eat Them (this is doing my part, people!) An Eostre Story as told by Grogu Djarin

A/N: Here is the March installment of The Wheel of the Year, my theme for @yearofcreation2023. Organized by the effervescent @oonajaeadira and @writeforfandoms Ostara or Eostre marks the vernal equinox, the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere and one of the two days when the amount of daylight and darkness is equal- and from here on in the days get longer. Ever wonder where all the bunnies and eggs in the Easter celebration come from? It comes from this holiday right here. 

During a milestone celebration, I did a Grogu Character Takeover and got this ask-

Have you ever seen rabbits on the farm or is big ears the only rabbit you’ve met? That reminds me, since you like eggs so much have you heard about Easter which is all about hunting for eggs. I think you’d be amazing at it. Did you know bunnies can be made out of chocolate?

I thought it might be fun to expand on Grogu’s answer for this month's year of creation fic.  This is set in A Galaxy Far Far Away AU. Here is a link to that series (though you don't really have to read it to get what's going on here except that Din and Grogu are on Earth with a pagan f!reader who lives in a house called Juniper Cottage.) This is not a “witchy” one, but I hope you enjoy!

At Jupiter Cottage, Easter is called Éostre, but I was told when it comes to eggs and bunnies they are very the same! This is one of those Special Days on the calendar on the wall. And that means fun and food!

First is The Preparation. 

When I waked up one day the Jupiter Cottage had bunnies everywhere. Wooden ones, and softy ones, plus also ones that might break so please do not force lift them, thank you very much. AAAALLLLL the winter decorations were gone and the little seeds we planted on the windowsill a few weeks ago on that day about guessing when spring comes were peeking out of the dirt! 

But the most important thing is collecting eggs. This is a thing I am very good at. And the hens do not mind one bit!! We have “an Agreement”. That is permission to eat their eggs. I was very shocked by this news cuz my past experience with eating eggs was… well, let’s just say- Not. Great.  ANYWAYS, all the hens love me very a lot and we are best friends. Eva is the only hen in the hen home that gives us white eggs, so we had been saving up her eggs for a little while so we would have plenty of white eggs “for coloring”.

This is what you do: the eggs get boiled up first. This can be a frustrating process. Cuz if they crack, you can not color them. But I do not mind it, cuz I get to eat The Mistakes! Then they go in little cups. The cups all have their own colors- there is blue water, and red water, plus also yellow water, and all the waters smell weird. I am NOT allowed to drink ANY of them! 

I had trouble remembering this rule. 

We dipped the eggs in, and when they came out! They were all the colors of red and purple, yellow and blue, and green (my favorite)! This is cuz of mixing colors together and making other colors! WHAT?! Dad and Me were taught to draw pictures on the eggs before putting them in the color water with this little magic crayon! It was a very big surprise I tell you, cuz you couldn’t see what you drawed at all! Then, after putting them into the waters, WOW, the drawings is RIGHT THERE! We drawed rabbits and suns, plus also mudhorns…. and frogs a-course.

I was so excited at bedtime the night before Éostre! I was thinking about that bunny visiting us and giving me chocolate and things. I got wiggley, plus also very giggling, and stopping wiggling and giggling is hard, I tell you!

Dad sighed his sigh of you are my dear child, who never does anything wrong ever, but I am just a tired father many times.

The sun waked up and waked me up, so it was not my fault at all! So I waked Dad and he said, all super sleepy and gravel, I’m sleeping, lil womp rat.

So I just went out to peek out the door for the surprises the Éostre Bunny left for me. I brought Long Ears with me. (You know who Long Ears is, right? Yeah, we’ve discussed that guy) Cuz she is an expert being a bunny and all. I found a trail of the tiniest color eggs I have ever seen in my entire life. First, I sniffed it, and then I tasted one, cuz that is what I do! And they were so yummy! They did not taste like ANY egg I have EVER had, and I have had many eggs, even some we do not talk about!

(Frogs are friends, not food!)

ANYWAYS I was informed later that they are called “jelly beans”. But they are not beans at all, they are candy, so a Special Treat! Which is code for I can not have them all the time, which is not what I want to hear, Father!

How can they not be beans, it says bean in its very own name!? Like Candy Corns, did you know they are not corns at all? I was shocked by that news. But I do not care so much cuz candy corn is not so much… good. It is sweet. But… blah, crayony. How I know what crayons taste like is another story, that I am not telling at this time.

The jelly not-beans leaded to a basket, oh boy! It had so many good, good things! Chocolate rabbits! Well, rabbit SHAPED chocolate. I got a little concerned. And so did Long Ears! And these guys called Peepses! Have you had them?! Like baby chicks BUT NOT! These peepses are yellow with white fluffy fluff inside and chocolate on their bottoms. Plus also a wooden duck guy that you pull with a string and his big orange feet go whap whap whap on the floor and his bill goes quack quack quack and I walked him around and around! Oh and a little wooden cup on a stick, plus also an egg on a string… it is a game of trying to swing the egg into the cup. This is hard. And the egg is hard. And bonky when it hits you in the face.

Dad likes it and is good at it. He says I will get better, I just need to practice. I just walked that Duck guy around some more.

In New Hampster it is still cold outside even when it is Spring. Sometimes it snows. But not this time… So when it was not “the crack of dawn, for kriff sake” we went outside to do The Egg Hunt. It is a good thing I am a good egg finder! Cuz eggs was every place- under blueberry bushes and the jupiter bushes a-course, and in the garden shed and under Clara, which was funny. She said, Grogu did I lay a purple egg!? And I said, no silly chicken!

Pfft, I love her, but that guy. We also went for a walk in the woods to look for green and had a feast! 

Then a special moment happened! That was the Moment of the Equimox! This is when the sun moves across a line on Earth. And you get to do an eggsparmint. That is standing an egg up on one end, and it will stay! Or so they say, cuz we tried and tried… Dad and me were skepical.

And that is the special day of Eostre at Jupiter Cottage. And it was a good thing I like eggs so much, cuz we had to eat them for DAYS! We ate them hard boil, and devils, plus also salad samich.

There were so many possibilities that he didn’t know the answer to. Although, he knew one thing for sure. Koganegawa had no business showing up and confusing Goshiki all over again.

To be honest though, he doesn't even understand why people think they're scary in the first place until he meets their partners...

even though this isn’t strictly kogagoshi centric, i just HAD to include this. kogane POV fics are suprisingly rare?? so this was like a breath of fresh air. this fic is hilarious, and i adore it. the sendai frogs are all so whipped. please read this :’). 

**Ankle Weights by sophie_scribblz (g) 3,150 words, 1/1, [kogagoshi, ushiten] --- How big of a crush can you develop on someone in less than a week, anyway? Not that he has a crush on someone, no, that would be dumb. He barely knows the guy; there’s no way he has a crush on him. Yeah.

But then there’s the heart fluttering and there’s the weak knees and oh, for the first time he wants someone else’s mouth on his and it all seems so appealing all of the sudden— but that’s dumb, because he barely knows the guy.

He’s a little silly, Tsutomu supposes, the guy he likes. Tall, with about four times the amount of enthusiasm you’d think should be able to fit inside his body. Clumsy, but in a charming sort of puppy-dog way that makes you want to pat his head and tell him he did a good job. 

But then there’s his laugh, the way his eyes squeeze shut and this sound that embodies his joy bursts forth, bright and loud, just like everything else about him does. There’s his drive to be better, the fact that every time his upperclassmen told him he was hopeless, it only made him want to practice more. His generosity, his passion, his never ending kindness. And he gives the warmest hugs.

(Sure, his hair is a little silly but Tsutomu will let that one slide)

this one’s a lot longer than all the other recs, but it’s real good!! the first one is an outsider pov from lev, and the second one is just a normal fic from goshiki pov. it’s just all very soft and silly. they’re both dense, and it’s quite cute :)

I have many ideas im someone that doesnt stay still when it comes to writing, but a lot of them stay on the shelf.
