starting my tgamm rewatch over again, the notetaking version this time. and i get that this is a funny little comedy cartoon so of course the co-protagonists are gonna be doing funny stuff together. but Scratch's introduction is one of being explicitly (and mean-spiritedly) rejected, and inside of the same minute that Molly first meets Scratch, she is engaging in his bit that preambles the curse

i'm contrasting this with him throwing out jokes to the Ghost Council about tagging along to Haughty Haunts ("what's the dress code, should I wear pants? should I wear legs?"), like, he's looking for engagement here. and the Council's response is to joke amongst themselves at Scratch/his expense, and thereby close him out of their circle.

Molly is not only acknowledging this joke/bit, she is working with it and with him. She is giving something back. And she's giving back something that Scratch pretty explicitly wants.

So... I just watched new episode chibiverse and...

A new era for Chibiverse (AND I NEED MORE OF IT IN MY LIFE, PLEASE!)

I was very impressed by the new format DTVA is aiming for with s3 of chibiverse. This feels like a fever dream fan fiction brought to life. Especially the part where Marcy Wu was in. And Molly McGee, Mabel, and Tilly Green in their evil era is straight up fire. The Calamity Trio are SO BACK here. All the old and new characters including Scott Denoga from Hailey's On It made an appearance. I thought Disney wanted to get rid of Hailey but surprisingly she has a fighting chance in the Chibiverse.

Some think that this is Disney Channel/XD's equivalent to the Cartoon Network City, but I feel like I wanna live in the Chibiverse so badly. I NEED MORE CHIBIVERSE LIKE THIS IN MY LIFE!

The 2025 Oneshot Initiative

For the year of 2025, I have a new project to work on that I will share with the world, let's see if we can make something happen!

I call it the 2025 Oneshot Initiative (as you've already seen), and it is a fanfiction project, where I challenge anyone who participates in it to make a series on Ao3, (or just a fic collection if your website of choice doesn't allow series to be made) filled with a brand new oneshot for every major fandom that you're in! Any fandom, any genre, any length, but try to see if you can make a list of every fandom that you're really into, and see if before the end of 2025, you can have a oneshot (or longer) for every single fandom listed!

If you do, tag each fic "2025 Oneshot Initiative", or reblog this post with links, I'd love to see if anyone takes part in it, I know I will be!~
