the plushie i've been trying to make has been through hell already, and it's not even completed. to make him rounded and squishy, i've tried:

gusset (sewing an extra strip between the back and front to make more 3D??),

darts (cutting a line at certain points along the seams and then re-sewing those to, again, achieve more/better three dimensionality),

just simply sewing most of the two sides of fleece together roughly and without those^ extra features and half-stuffing him to see how that'd turn out (this is actually the first method i tried; thinking "oh fleece isn't a stiff fabric, it's stretchy, he'll become the right shape by himself :) WRONG!!)

same fabric each try. i don't quit and start over ever i just keep crying into the same pieces

something ive noticed after being a hobby cosplayer for years is that in a lot of places the general consensus seems to be that wearing costumes in public is weird and/or socially unacceptable, but whenever I'm in costume in public while on the train to the con venue or having a photoshoot on location or something, people by and large fucking love my costume. they think it's so cool. kids think my costume rocks. their parents are impressed that I made it myself. random grandmas tell me my armor kicks ass. I was at a japanese garden once and barely got around to doing the photoshoot me and my homies came there to do because swathes of visitors who had never heard the word cosplay before were lining up to take a picture with me.

it's the same thing with adjacent hobbies like larp or reenactment or fursuiting, the general image of the hobby is that you're weird nerds (and probably also sex perverts) for playing dressup despite not being a child but when you're actually in costume the response from random normies is categorically positive. I inevitably get weird looks from the kind of people who think having a tattoo is an affront to god but they give me that look for just existing with blue hair and pronouns too and the people who actually talk to me always do because they wanted to tell me they love my costume. and the response that always gets me the most is when they say it looks fun but they would never dare to do the same. it's such a shame. why did wearing a silly little costume have to become an act of bravery.

Like yeah it was still there when Vanny came around during the curse of Dreadbear DLC but you don't understand it surpassed all my Foxy art!!! The first fnaf character I fixated on!?!?? -Because I know all those animations already and it's like omg omg OMG Glitchtrap kinda expanded my music taste imma be fr... -However my Shadow Glitchtrap was kinda more wack to say the least. Like heheheh cuz Glitchtraps a fursuit there's no denying that I changed the dream design a bit. In my old Glitchtrap designs they'd have a zipper and so what would happen was they'd unzip and flip their insides into outsides to reveal the Shadow Glitchtrap thing which was hiding inside them.

-Like those plushies that you can unzip to reveal a different plushie design basically!!!!

-TBH I prefer Glooptrap because yeah!!!!! Amalgamation of hate let's go!!!!!! I think with how gloopy he is its just fun to draw I love the fact that the weird Glitchtrap blockers look like that it fits too much with my own preestablished AU lore.

-I feel like Glitchtrap turns into Glooptrap from like the seams of their suit. Like you see that each part the suit got stitched just turn black as black liquid pours out like ohhh that shit haunted!!!! Bursting outta the seams like oh this guy has no one inside they're all just black sludge!!!!

-In this AU specifically (The one with my millions of Vanny designs) is actually a spoof fnaf AU where everyone lives!!! Like I have 3 AUs technically one of them being the fnaf cast in my oc world where they become my ocs basically called Rabbit City. My other one which is my more serious canon adjacent fnaf AU where no silly stuff or shipping happens, and it's just more overall following my own formed understanding of the canonicity and the series of events with me trying to keep the animatronics more game accurate (I dont think ive posted any of that here due to me feeling like my style limits the nit and grit I wanna go with it). And this one I mainly post on here where everything is just silly and bends to my command and everyone lives because I love everyone <333333 Literally playing with my toys type AU where I do what I want which is why a million vanny designs are in this AU specifically. I usually tag it as this 🦭🩷🐇🐰🐇🐰🐇🐰🐯 because the original name of this au is self indulgent and I'm embarrassed but it's too iconic to change it.

-Glitchtrap in this AU is just much more goofy and silly infecting people like a zombie virus and possessing them for his own gain. Weird eldritch horror that came out of a fnaf fangame. Anything goes in this AU so if I wanna make Glitchtrap a mind controlling zombie warlock wizard so be it!!!! Sorry I love zombies soo much you will have to take this trope out of my cold dead hands!!!!! I love rot!!!

-That's why it's wrinkly because they too me are like a rotten banana (Even though his associated smell to me is lemongrass). Imagine squeezing a banana still with it's skin on. hey folks, i may not be posting as much going forward because my father put my email on a lifelock account, which means that he may be alerted each time i log into my tumblr account. i use tumblr on the website on safari and i frequently log in and out because im anxious that my parents will check my search history, but they very rarely ever do. im testing if they get alerted right now by logging in to ao3 and c.ai, two websites that my parents likely wont be opposed to but would tell me and ask me about it if i got an alert. deleting my account is a last resort, but it is still on the table. this change is indefinite. i have backup plans in case my parents do get alerts from lifelock, but nothing is definite. i may continue on just fine, i might not. just giving y’all a heads up in case something does happen.

tl;dr my account may be discovered by my parents and i may be punished, maybe it wont. we’ll see

and does anyone know for sure if lifelock does send alerts about logging in tumblr accounts? please dont lie to me.

What if Assistant Noah wears beautiful dresses, whenever Chef wears a dress?

During the Wedding Challenge, how would Alejandro react to Noah wearing a dress like Chef’s, or grumpy Noah wearing a wedding dress? 😍

Hot take? I don't think Chef would want anyone stealing his limelight.

And I also don't think Noah would resign himself to wearing pretty dresses unless he's motivated by spite or money - neither of which would really apply here? Like, sure, he's got very little left in terms of dignity (like most poeple who've suffered through the trials of Total Drama, and/or being Chris' personal assistant) but he does have some semblence of self-respect.

He's also susceptable to things like performance anxiety, which is something we see in Ridonculous Race during the air guitar scene, so I imagine he'd be very hesitant to make a spectacle of himself on international television for no apparent reason.

If he were a contestant, then maybe he'd be willing to wear a wedding dress. Lord knows they've all done far more embarassing things for the sake of the competition. But as an assistant? He doesn't really have anything to gain form the situation outside of dodging whatever penalisation he'd get from not following Chris' orders, and he wouldn't be on camera enough to justify the "joke", unlike Chef.

However.

You could spin this into Chef roping Noah into playing into the whole casino vibe they have going on, by having him pay Noah off to dress in something equally as gaudy and sequin-heavy as his own fuchsia gown. Though in this scenario I'd imagine Noah being dressed as a particularly sparkly casino dealer, if only to stay on theme with the whole Vegas-adjacent vibe they've got going on (you know; slot machines, speedy marriages, gambling, ect). He'd be unhappy about it, sure, but the outfit itself wouldn't be eye-catching enough to warrent any complaints from him.

Of course, Chef could just as easily pay him off to wear a maching gown. Or anything, really. With enough financial compensation, I reckon you could have him walk onto the casino stage in a fursuit, or a clown costume, or anything (within reason). It'd be embarrassing, but his further education won't fund itself.

As for Alejandro's reaction? That's fully dependant on what their relationship is like at this point.

Though I do think it'd be really funny to have him blue screen half way across the tightrope over Niagara Falls when he catches sight of Noah in the biggest, puffiest wedding dress imaginable standing casually next to Chef's customs booth. Either because he's just downright confused over Noah's wardrobe situation, or because he thinks Noah somehow looks pretty in a gaudy wedding dress that's bigger than he is. Likely a mixture of both.

Especially since Heather, at this point in the series, is trying desperately to keep his attention on her. Potential for a one-sided Heather-Noah rivalry, perhaps?

I forgot if I ever posted about this publicly or privately but fully inspired by Harry's mdzs au my opinions on a svsss furry au will always be that

-Shen Yuan is vehemently "not a furry but just likes supporting artists" who was pretty active in closed species circles for having a ridiculous amount of super expensive rare species that he found really cool. Shen Jiu (no relation) is a very controversial popufur who runs in adjacent circles that sy has a huge grudge against after seeing sj bully a bunch of teen furries (binghe) for their half angle half devile wolf ocs, but even sy has to admit that sj's fursona Shen Qingqiu is really really cool. Sj eventually decides to cut ties with the whole community after getting into another new discourse and sells all of his accounts and fursona art to a broker, who then sells it to sy. Sy logs into the account and is about to reveal what happened, but Yue Qingyuan sends him a super long vent/crying dm and sy feels too guilty and awkward to come clean after getting that bombshell and so he ends up impersonating Shen_Qingqiu in the elite closed DeviantArt group Cang Qiong Mtn Sect group

-Binghe is in the group mostly as a punching bag for everyone to make fun of his half angel half demon oc Xin Mo, but sy recognizes him as the kid he saw sj bully despite being super humble and with great potential for art, so he decides to take him under his wing (I think I was imagining sqq as a dutch angel dragon but whatever you believe here you can replace that with an appropriate body part). Sy ends up buying binghe a super rare Sushidog named Zhen Yang and while sy is like well nbd some artist got a paycheck and some kid got a cute new adopt but as we all know Binghe is Irreparably changed Forever from this

-Airplane is a popular furry porn writer known for taking hyperspecific commissions and flagrantly ignoring closed species rules in his smut peddling. Sy hates him for this of course and also because his porn isn't that good, but he still reads all of Airplane's gay original werewolf species porn just because wolves are really cool ok!! Sy isn't even gay he just thinks it's so cool how the three headed demon wolf has a three tiered society and--. Airplane loves to fuck with sy by making sock puppet accounts advertising shoddy bootleg closed species like deltagens instead of primagens or something like that. Also btw airplane has a hamster fursuit but only the head and paws since he can't afford a full one, he just poodles at cons

- Mobei Jun is not a furry but his family owns a hotel chain that regularly hosts furcons. During one of these he was sent by his father to shadow staff addressing a misbehavior complaint against the furcon attendees and accidentally ran into half-fursuited airplane, during which it was somehow love at first sight. Airplane doesn't know that tho he thinks mbj is still mad at him for smoking weed in his hotel room at that con they met at when they were both 17

I’m so impressed with how many styles you have and that you use them regularly (realistic, semi realistic, 2d, and 2d, 3d & pixel animation)! How did you learn to balance this many and get so good in all of them?

THANK YOUUUU this compliment means so much to me because so often i feel so worried I will stagnate since I basically like to draw the same subject matter over and over again 😳 but I do like to periodically try new things that I'll become invested in for chunks of time.

i guess advice more than just 'practice' is to be willing to try out new things that you have an interest in, even if it doesn't work out at first and is frustrating. you gotta be persistent to learn something new BUT if you get bored then just move on! if it sucks hit da bricks.... I really like this bjork quote abt creativity

idk throughout my life in art i just try to learn about stuff i'm interested in and practice what i wanna practice. like i wanted to get good at pixeling when i was like 14 so i kept practicing and trying new ways to go about it until i started to figure it out. same with digital painting when i was 15 and i just kept trying again and again until it clicked, even though i was frustrated a lot, i never actually lost the interest when i saw people's pretty paintings and that feeling of 'man i wish i could do that!'.... so i literally couldn't stop myself from trying over and over at painting. it goes beyond just drawing too. planet earth is fun because ANYTHING u are interested in you can try........ i make fursuit heads and other crafts to see if i can! this year i started making my own songs and also learned leather-working because i saw a cool craft and wanted to try :3

part of it is letting yourself age too because as you get older you will grow interested in new things. i am 27!! i've been drawing since i could hold a pencil. that's a long time to encounter a lot of stuff to get obsessed about and wanna try out for myself. SUCCESS TIP!: i typically pursue things that are adjacent to other skills i already have invested in, like drawing to 3d sculpture to digital modeling, or start blending them like sculpture + coding skills = 3d animation rigging. The reason is because a lot of these skills are transferable and make it easier to pick up. like a skill tree in a video game... and you'll end up in weird places like sculpture to sewing to leathercraft. It's nice to have creative hobbies you can be sorta be mediocre at without attaching your self worth to it, but other people still often find it impressive anyways because it's stuff they've never tried to do. It's really healing and easier to like what you create And yourself by extension when you're just having fun and learning without having to worry about the end product being "good". Anything you try is not a waste because you are learning new skills and more often than not, something you've learned is transferable to some other area of your life!!!!!!!!! nothing is ever a waste of time.

this is also the secret cure to art block btw well actually there are two secret cures. a) is you have to embrace the art block and go get obsessed with some other creative thing for a bit. either that or b) go absorb other people's creativity to a bit and watch some shows and read books or talk to people. c) is a mix of both. eventually you'll return to art again feeling fresh and motivated if you're willing to give it a few months. I think art block really just means you're bored and need a change of scenery one way or another 🤔 that's just my onion though

TL;DR have fun pursuing things just because you like them. as you keep doing it you'll just get better at it through practice whether you really intend to or not.

Peko loves furries and fursuits, and after a bit of bashfulness is completely Unashamed of this. she is the type of person who is not really a Furry herself but a big fan and adjacent to the fandom. she would happily accompany any fursuiting friend to a convention to spot them (in exchange for getting to give them headpats) but perhaps would be a little Overzealous in ensuring no one tries to mess with them while they're suiting

Junko actually loves animals. i know this is a very "petting the dog" kind of thing and i'm very much against Defanging DR characters, but also i don't think we ever see her or her peeps hurt a real animal. in-universe, no one notices until years later that while she destroyed Swaths of humanity, she left critters untouched, and rogue Monokuma bots still seem to be feeding zoo creatures, strays, and orphaned pets. further, Gundham was actually one of her Favorite remnants, if she could be said to feel any emotion like that; it's why his execution is more honorable than many others

additionally, Junko had set-ups for all the Executions we don't see as listed in extra DR materials like the artbooks. this does in fact mean that the Future Foundation had to go in and save a bunch of sharks meant for Hina from the Hope's Peak basement. said sharks are in pretty good condition, actually. Junko loved those fucking sharks

Kyoko and Hina take care of Celestia's pet cat post-DR3. he is exactly like Celeste in every way, down to laziness and demands of gyoza, and even requires a Place at the table during Survivor Family Games of Yahtzee. notably, however, he doesn't play; he paws at players when they're about to make a shitty move. Hina wonders if perhaps he taught Celestia all she knows

in any nice non-despair AU, Kotoko's best (older) friend becomes Sakura, who makes good on her Summer Camp promise to protect her in various ways. Sakura may hate the title ogre but she allows Kotoko to lovingly call her Monster Girl or Big Sis Monster, and even comes to enjoy it

Funniest unexpected series of events that’s happened to me:

I get back into Ninjago in 2022, and quickly get attached to season 13 which in turn quickly gets me attached to Dungeons & Dragons

I start making D&D characters for fun and with not really much intention of playing any of them in an actual campaign for multiple reasons

I create a genetic chimera Tabaxi bard, which ends up reminding me I own a flute because I took band in 6th and 7th grade, which then makes me want to relearn how to play flute for ultimate chaotic energy if I ever do decide to play D&D

I decide “hmm, maybe I can use Clip Studio’s assets to learn to properly draw humans and human adjacent species and races” because I feel like for my own physical safety, wearing a fursuit to a D&D session is a bad idea (as fun as I think it’d be, I have epilepsy triggered by heat, and while yes my seizures are under control, it’s a risk I don’t feel like taking, so I’d rather be able to cosplay/roleplay a character I can just put on a regular costume for)

I realize D&D (and season 13 of Ninjago to an extent) got me to want to play flute again and made me want to at least attempt to draw humans and human adjacent characters???
