Yes, yes, I know. Some random person in the alterhuman tags inviting people to an unknown server.

But the server itself has been made by myself and is currently being modded by myself and my best friend of over six years, Solstice. They also go by Ven.

In the server, we've got a few different spots for everyone to interact in, weather with everyone else in the general chats or in the alterhuman forum to talk about anything you wanna.

The server itself is system friendly, and open to talk about any and everything, age appropriate of course

There's plenty of reaction roles to choose from, and soon there will be a kintype/theriotype role roster up, too.

The Alterhuman SafeSpace is a personal project of my own, meant for alterhumans of any age 15+, even adults to be able to have a space to express themselves. To express ourselves.

So, yes, people 15+ and join. So can those 18+. Therianthropy doesn't stop once we turn adults, it's always there. In here, we'll be able to safely express our adult therianthropy and alterhuman identity.

the ugly side of my therianthropy isnt fun. i wanted to talk about it a bit.

tws: light violence, s/h, body dysphoria, phantom tails, ears, claws, wings, not great stuff

i get horrible half-shifts where im animal in my mind and very viscerally human in my body. and that leads to anger and confusion and usually harm of some kind. i dont physically lash out or anything like that, its very meditative, really. i very carefully test the body i definitely shouldnt be in, figure out how to walk in it and sometimes try to find myself in it, whether that be mentally or physically. i scratch at it or look at it in a mirror and get more confused because it hurts just like i should and it looks so different from me. these shifts usually end if i see writing in english or hear someone calling me.

i also get the urge to chase after and interact with animals that look like my theriotypes. ill see a black dog and go "youre just like me!!" and wag my tail and i want to go up and introduce myself but they wouldnt see me as a dog like them and their human would think im strange. or ill hear a fruit bat outside my window and jump at the opportunity to see a friend, but then get confused when theres glass separating us. it hurts to see a friend and have them not recognise you the same.

physically, i cant reatrain myself from keeping my arms bent or my feet arched on my toes sometimes. to the point where im aching. usually if someone tells me to stop i say "no, its comfy" but sometimes that is a blatant lie. and i still wont stop until my mind allows me. it sucks and im just grateful to have a background in dance so i can do it in a healthier way.

anyways, therianthropy is not all quads and masks and fun. its gutteral and weird and it hurts. experience it offline, please.

hough boy this is gonna be long if i dont shorten this a little but uh....... heres a sum up

pros:

-the pedo teacher isnt as weird to me as he is the cis girls

-the queer inclusive teacher/my history teacher is cool abt trans people so thats a win

-friends = best safespaces

cons:

-eshays (translation: cool kids) fucking hate me n shit on me frequently for being trans

-pissy teachers when i email them and come out (AHEM... MY OLD MUSIC TEACHER WHO SUGGESTED THERAPY TO MY PARENTS TO "CURE MY SIN"........ AND THEY ALMOST WENT THROUGH WITH IT)

-getting deadnamed on the roll.........

-nearly every cis woman 40+ here is a terf so the teachers all say shit like "its your hormones!!!!!!! you dont want to kys you js wanna wait until pubertys over!!!!!!!"

-getting called into the office to get yelled at by the deputy principal for my grade (she literally doesnt do this to anyone else)

-getting marked lower n getting yelled at for it <33

-^ "you need to try harder deadname" wrong you js need to stop being fucking weird abt me and grade better

-constant bullying (not to mention being a therian, the bullying for thats worse)
