In reference to your tags on the furry post: Personally find it weird that the consensus is 'any negative thought about furries is queerphobia/ableist' like, damn, there is a middle ground where people's lived experience, with some but not all furries, is just straight negative which then leads into an attitude of wariness overall.
The same furries that point out many furries are neurodivergent will turn around and ignore the fact that sometimes that neurodivergence can mean furries don't notice or just overstep the boundaries of those around them. An especially charged issue when many furries are also kinky as hell. I've personally been in discords with seperate n-s-f-w chats only to have random and intense content being suddenly dropped into gen chats by an overzealous furry, as like an example of the lack of boundary stuff. Idk I think people get very defensive about it due to the hate the furry community gets over actual bullshit reasons and so when a legitimate gripe comes up it goes full black and white thinking on it. "Many people do bad faith takes thus all takes that aren't positive about the community are always in bad faith" kinda vibes.
Also like in regards to the uh, animal abusing furries. Defo don't think all furries are like that but I think it's the vibe that people like that can get shielded and supported because of the all or nothing vibe of the community that's come as a response to getting flack for being different that's the issue, at least for me.
The response is usually 'we're not all like that' and 'actually the furry community hates people like that' it can all be very no true scottsman-like. You can even see it in the tags/reblogs of that post you reblogged even.
If the response was more like 'yeah I think maybe being in an overly supportive and reactive community gave them a bit too much freedom and space to be sus without examination and that's a thing we need to discuss going forward to avoid having/keeping people like this in the community' then I think it'd be less of a contentious issue. You gotta be shown to actively trying to root out bad actors instead of getting defensive, ya know? That's the frustration for me at least.
Absolutely right anon, and absolutely agreed!
I completely understand that the furry community gets a lot of undue hate - and yes, a lot of that hate is from ableism or queerphobia. I'm not denying that. But to discount everyone who might have a problem with the community as either easily manipulated and unaware, or a straight-up bigot, is incredibly unreasonable and unfair. It also ignores that yes, the fur community has huge issues - that you've very succinctly pointed out.
That is absolutely where I take issue, because it discounts the fact that people can just have negative experiences with that community. It pops a lampshade right over everything - everyone who dislikes the furry community is a bigot actually, and there are no other possible explanations for that. No other reason people could possibly dislike furries.
Like, sorry to say it, but the majority of the experiences I've had directly with the furry community have been negative. They've done some gross shit and disrespected my boundaries. No, I don't really appreciate being shown furry porn out in the open unprompted on three separate occasions. With different furries. That is not something I, or anyone, can change. So yeah, it's put a bad taste in my mouth. With the bullshit I've encountered, I'm justified in not really wanting to associate with that community. I really don't appreciate that the general consensus when someone dislikes them is that clearly that person is just an ableist asshole who hates neurodivergent people. It completely ignores the fact that the furry community is far from fucking perfect. Which is also honestly very telling on it's own about how much they refuse to acknowledge those issues. It is always deflections or hand waves.
Like you said, it's all a bunch of no true Scotsman fallacies. You worded it really well in the last paragraph because it's the same frustration I feel. No, not all furries are like that. Of course they're not. Yes, the vast majority of the furry community hate those people. I'm not saying that all furries condone that sort of behavior and that they should be persecuted, my stance is just "Furries are cool but I've had nothing but very negative experiences with that community so it's not something I want to interact with." That's it. I don't know why I have to be labeled a bigot for that.
I get it, it sucks to have those sorts of people putting a fucking stain on your community that is otherwise very fun and supportive (if prone to drama). There is also no way to truly control the community from having those kinds of people. But the solution to that problem isn't "but not all furries are like that so you're not allowed to dislike furries!!!" That completely ignores the problem and is disrespectful towards people who find the existence of those people a deal breaker.
I know for a fact two of the people who bragged to me about abusing their dogs are still fully accepted in their part of the community. Considering I was just some random outsider that happened to be there when they bragged about it, I HIGHLY doubt that people just aren't aware of it. That's not something that I can look past. Sorry.
(this post is a bit of a mess and I didn't address everything I wanted to but I'm at work in my defense lol)
#Anonymous#knick they knasks#i mean if anything its depressing and disappointing on my side too lol#like i love furry art i think its so cool and interesting!#furry art is fun the characters are so cool and the art is amazing#I! have a fursona! because its fun!#the only thing is I keep it to myself and my small group of friends#im not interested in associating with the community as a whole#thats IT why does that somehow make me a red flag!!!!#anyways lol#ty anon very well worded ask <3 summed up my own issues very well

Why is No One Talking About The Hellboy Animated Movies?
This is probably a very specific cult following, a niche niche if you will. But let me tell you, if the 2D underrated classics such as Atlantis, El Dorado,Treasure Planet and Anastasia have a strong cult following, why not this?
Every one of these essays, I always have some short origin story of me discovering it and OF COURSE THIS IS ALSO HAS ONE.
I came across one of the movies in a DVD of a mix of different cartoons, such as Static Shock and maybe 70s/80s Fantastic Four episodes.
It was The Sword of Storm movie, where my love of dark mythological action animated movies continued. I was already a mythology enthusiast as a kid. My past times were reading encyclopedias and watching my mom's extensive collection of documentary DVDs. As for dark animated action movies, DC and Marvel had a lot, and it slipped into pirated DVDs back in the day.
Anyway, it was AMAZING. Hello, JAPANESE AKUMAS, THE ATMOSPHERE, THE LORE.
Fast forward to some years later, I found out that there was another movie and one that was unfortunately cancelled. Loved it too much that I went ahead and tried to read the comics, specifically the ones produced by Dark Horse, as it was related directly to the animated movies.
I craved those kinds of genres in animated media at the time, but I couldn't find ones that I really stuck to, the DC animated movies were good, the old Marvel ones were great and then Trese came, and it was just perfect. Then Castlevania and Blood of Zeus followed after, I have yet to watch it.
So again, why are these so underground niche.
I don't really have qualms or analysis about these movies, I just want to write just how much I appreciate it.
The Dark Action Comics Feel
I am not a comic reader at all by the way, I barely read them. I like manga a little more, and I like my action in moving pictures more than in panels. That said, I appreciate the art of it.
Western dark comics hit a lot different. The simplistic animated styles work well with suspense.
Though Guillermo directed the animated and live action of Hellboy, I would argue that he got the feel of it best in Hellboy Animated. I have yet to see the live action movies, but I recall seeing a glimpse and was very dissappointed. I liked the costumes but I didn't like the brightness and the subplots. It felt like Fantastic Four (2005) with Chris Evans and Jessica Alba (no hate to the movie, I actually really like that one). It wasn't dark enough, but these materials getting adapted into live action are difficult already. That's why a lot of superhero animated movies surpass the action in live a lot of the time.
Hellboy Animated was the best way it could've been adapted. Do note that Hellboy was not an original idea of Guillermo. It existed way before, and it was even darker.
It was dark enough, not too cringey. It was serious but not taking itself too seriously. it was the right blend of dark action, witty, and visually appealing.
The Dialogues and The Characters
Okay, this is one that really sold me on the movies. Somehow, the lines were humorous and short. SHORT.
I also loved that Hellboy was a character who didn't give two shits and just done with the world, yet does his job anyway and is kind. He is like a broody cool but drunk 40 year old man who just exists. WHICH IS BY THE WAY A PROTAGONIST TROPE USED IN A LOT OF LIVE ACTION MOVIES. I don't know if it's the same in the live Hellboy movies, I am really hoping that his lines are just "Crap" and have simple fun expressions.
Also, I find that Abe is a lot more ...attractive in the animated ones? I have seen the costume of him in the live and I think it also inspired a project of Guillermo after, "The Shape of Water". It's not bad at all, just...creature like than humanoid creature. If anything, maybe the creature in The Shape of Water was closer to Abe's hotness. Guillermo has so much of these characters that ...he just might be a furry (HAHAH). Anyway, Abe is like a hot fit nerd action hero, which I think a lot of us wish would even go to that level.
Okay now, Liz. First of all, why is Liz Hellboy's gal? HE HAS HIS OWN IN THE ANIMATED. Her name is Kate, and she has known him a lot longer than Liz. She is also a hot nerd ( opposites attract a type of deal). Liz is similar to Hellboy, but younger and getting used to her powers. Hellboy sees her like a younger sister, too, and is affectionate to her like one. Liz is more of the action hero that Scarlett Johansenn could play her. Her lines would be sarcastic, and her voice was very Megara, just under your breath sassy. Also...her chemistry with Abe...you can not tell me it's not PLANTED.
The other characters are also perfectly voiced and don't drag on too long in a scene even when they are the focus. Again, their "budgetting" with visuals and dialogue in a scene were straight to the point. They say a little bit while saying, just perfect in Show, Don't Tell. Other than the main trio, I found a few more characters memorable: Kate and The Professor.
I already mentioned Kate, she is this quirky girl who is hot, rocks a blonde bob undercut and dangling earrings, and almost always appears 5-10% in the movies but always memorable. Her relationship with Hellboy was told through her dialogues, without even telling us too much. It's not "We've known each other for so long" it's "He could be a big grump and he's even older than he looks", that's how you do dialogue people. Ehem, I'm looking at you. "Truth or dare." She does appear little but is clearly significant either to the plot in the story (in the Sword of Storms) or by the characters (in Blood and Iron). I just think she's cool too. She is so excited with going on about the scientific details related to missions, and the characters adore her.
Professor Trevor, aka Hellboy's adoptive father and one of the founders of BPRD (Buruea of Paranormal Research and Defense), is definitely one of the more important characters in the Hellboy Universe. He was the one who raised Hellboy, as well as doing operations at the same time. They showed me his importance with just dialogue and the smallest cutscenes ever. The mastery of that technique was evident in underrated comic movies.
And HELLBOY, the titular character was the best one ever. He is probably Sleeping Beauty because he has the fewest lines in those movies. That man is stoic, unbothered, laid back and incredibly CHILL AF. I see these characters aa side characters a lot, so seeing a character like this as the main character is so fun to watch, like he does not need development yet it's his world and we're all living in it. That man is zen to the max, yet is sad to be destined to lead the world. Reminds me of older Kratos (God of War), just 100 times more chill and more swag, out of the two, he is that gentle giant you can hang with in a bar and maybe even get high with, Older Kratos is way too intimidating but you'd feel very safe around him more.
The Mystique Tone weaved with the World Building
The dialogues already brought out the world building, how the organisation of paranormal defence is a serious thing. See, taking something so fantastical so seriously can counter its intention, when done correctly and properly, you can hone a cult following, which is why DCU, Marvel and the X-men evolved from comics for the children into basically modern art and literature for its niche. That's also why I am wondering why Hellboy is not as beloved. The comics before Dark Horse are pretty hard-core. The world building is pretty good in movies alone. It's like a contemporary take on supernatural noir. It's mysterious, dramatic, and (this is specific to me, I dunno why) smooth.
Trese (the filipino horror/thriller comic that had its show adapted during the pandemic in netflix) reminded me of Hellboy, and even Trese too, small cult following when I think it does deserve do much more.
Now, the world is building specific to the movies.
I'm referring to the inadequate tone with the existence of the BPRD, the people who work there, and that they are literally like a private organisation with connections to the government. Think S.H.E.I.L.D from Marvel. Only the organization is not dramatically futuristic and really in your face about it. It's super chill and like an underground organisation, too. They are literally normal anywhere and everywhere. Also, they feel so much more mysterious because, again, they don't say what they are doing in detail like blockbuster movies. They do it straightforward, and you figure it out quickly. An example is in Sword of Storms, Hellboy disappeared into another dimension, the BPRD is looking for him. What's so funny and awesome about it is that dimensions aren't new to the BPRD and that Hellboy's disappearance is also not uncommon. They literally casually said that he was not on the planet. The reactions are just "great, looks like we'll wait this out again." That's a subtle node to the world building of this universe, the inadequacy.
The Sympathetic Aspect and Humanity of the Story and Characters
I watched a video essay about the movies and he pointed out two stories of how much it has humanity and sadness in it. I think this is what somehow makes it separate from grandiose epic tales of the hero vs the monster.
In the Sword of Storms, the first scene is a mission in a Mayan Temple where they had to fight with a giant bat worshipped as a God in that particular setting. Long story short, the bat rose an army of the undead, and Liz, Abe, and Hellboy had to fight them all. Liz, having pyrokinesis, unleashes her powers like hellfire, burning the bat and the undead army. The score of Liz's powers feels exactly like hellfire, which is to cleanse the soiled. The sad part is that the bat may have been monstrous, but it was shown glimmer of complete sadness when it looked at its army and accepted its gruesome fate to burn with them. It reminded me of Shen's last scene in Kung Fu Panda 2, where he fought Po with everything he got, in the midst of the fight, a pillar was doomed to hit him, Shen sees this and he just closes his eyes, accepting his defeat.
The other one is a fleshed out subplot in Blood and Iron. It was about a priest the professor had met years ago in a mission. He was once a young and proud priest but faced an existential crisis, losing faith in God as he witnessed the acts of a vampire, later became a servant of that same vampire. Professor Broom and him met again, a little after the former priest killed a man as he was ordered to. The professor gave him words of wisdom and gave him a crucifix, a symbol of his faith restoring. However, it was not to be a happy ending, as he was transformed into a werewolf to become a hindrance of the BPRD succeeding in their mission. When he was eventually killed, we got a small shot of the crucifix in his transformed hand. It was incredibly a sad and dark ending, which was sort of beautiful and came full circle for him.
The point of these kinds of comics is to not glamorize the formula of epics but to emphasise the protection of humanity. Trese also did the same (Man, I should make an essay about this). Professor Broom is pretty much the character that really showed my point. He acts within reason, and even at a younger age, he was very wise beyond years. He didn't come in a monster killing hero, but at best consultant. In Blood and Iron, Erzebet, the serial vampire, was beyond saving and needed to be killed to save countless lives she plans to take. When he met the priest again, he witnessed that the priest murdered and his words alluded that he did it many times before. Yet he urges to forgive himself and that it was never too late for him as he hands him the crucifix. The professor literally adopted a demon boy and raised it as a son, to whom we know as Hellboy. He doesn't believe that everyone is inherently bad, as he chose to believe the good can be taught and redeemed again. He is probably the most beautiful person in this universe, damn to stay true and grounded with those kind of values in that kind of work, reminds me of a quote from the Emperor from Mulan : " No matter how much the wind blows, a mountain cannot bow to it".
Most of the members of The BPRD are not fully human, similar to mutants of X-Men. Hellboy is literally a demon, raised as a human, Liz is pyrokinetic, and Abe is a humanoid amphibian. Yet they are incredibly human. They would casually have a conversation about pastries they tried when they were out on a mission.
Conclusion:
While I was researching about Mignola and Del Toro, I had just found out that a new movie live action Hellboy is coming out, with an indie film feel!
Honestly, I don't think it's going to go on par with the block buster films, but what I have seen from the trailers so far, it just might do Mignola's Hellboy justice. Though, I do have a comment on the movie's filter and lighting, I want it to be close to Egger's "The Witch" if that makes sense. Just a tad but darker, like a small nod to the aesthetic theme of the comic, the noir feel. But the effects are amazing 👏 . The indie-ness of it is perfection.
Now it's obvious that I love this, and for some reason, I think my love for the animated films manifested this information of a new live action instalment.

any totk thoughts (just from osmosis bc idk if you've played it)
i haven't played it or really sought out watching it but i still have things from osmosis and i will say them,,,,, under the cut. very disorganized and randomly spoilery etc etc
Things I Would Have Done Differently If I Were Sonia
1- Been named "Zelda" instead. (nin10do you COWARDS are you really scared to have two different characters separated by untold generations named zelda NOW??? NOW YOU THINK THATS CRINGE???? fool. You did that in your first ever sequel and it was amazing. now you look scared and stupid. kill the part of you that cringes instead. In my head her name is Zelda and i dont care.)
2- not married that fake "Rauru". Like. OG Rauru is a cool fat ancient sage with an animalsona who protects the nukes away from everyone else and when you accidentally mess it up he hides and keeps you safe until you can go fix it. This new one is some imperialist that everyone is sooo obsessed with because his waist is snatched now. Or maybe i'll be more generous and say it's because they're furries that's more fair. But still like. Please there are others to simp over. he was all "oh im the first king of hyrule' and i was like 'oh.... no you're not'
(its actually ok that we have um. yet another first king of hyrule. Because we can have 3 first kings of hyrule, since we have 3 iterations of ganondorf now too. but we should still have 3 first zeldas. and we only have 2. because they messed up sonia. come on it would have been all NICE AND CLEAN AND BALANCED if there were 3 first kings, 3 first zelda, and 3 ganondorfs. This is the series about 3!!!!! but.... well perhaps next game we can have a third first zelda. perhaps i can be patient.)
(also love that we have a 3rd ganondorf. do you know how often i had to explain he does in fact reincarnate and that fsa ganondorf is a different one from oot? but now everyone knows theres more than one but less than the number of links even if they dont know exactly how many ganondorfs there are so. close enough! now ill just pretend he had a 3rd seperate origin story as well instead of 2 origins shared between 3 come on let the guy have something.)
This is unrelated but I think the Zonai are the evolutionary link between Ooca and the botw!Rito (since they did not evolved from the zora like ww!Rito). They look kinda dinosaur-y to me. i guess they're supposed to look kinda goat-y too? and rabbit-y???? i dunno i think they're generally fun. And also might be the results of unethical sheikah experimentation yeah i don't forget the temple of shadow............
OH and im very glad (our) Link wasn't the hero from the tapestry with Zonia. theres apparently some other Zonai hero with red hair who's briefly in it? i wish that Zonai was also named Link and got more to show but i was really not a fan of time-looping this poor link too, he had enough of that with the 100 year nap. if i can't have a gerudo link, at least we have a zonai hero maybe
but also in sooooo many fics i reserve the right to completely ignore this game. if it doesn't fit where i planned it didn't happen. this is like hyrule warriors to me. in another timeline.
LOVE all the yiga stuff and getting to fight with friends now. its what link deserves and his friends deserve. LOVE LOVE that Zelda and Link are so codependent there's not a word in the hylian language for them. i am a qpr truther for this particular zelink but i think that if these two were offered a way to fuse into a single being they would at least STRONGLY consider it. unhinged. love them.
incredible outfits for link and i love slowly discovering them as art passes my dash.
The way this world is even more open than botw is such a feat, the open engineering is just fabulous. I hope to see a new drone every week. Torturing the koroks is just. its horrible but i laugh every time .kjhghjkkjhjk whyyyyy these poor little tree dudes (*chanting 'crucify this one too' in my head*)
the way this game tried to both continue the botw 'honoring past games' and did a new 'gaslight you about the other games never happening' is a wild balance. Like, TWINROVA SHOWED UP??? in what i think is a very subtle detail in a memory??? maybe there's more of them in the game but it seems to be the same level as like 'hero of the winds' mentioned plus some salt around hyrule. excellent love that. but i also just saw a post gushing about how great it was that this game made this link theeeee most important specialist hero eeeever and the master sword was only ever for him and um. i just hope that isn't true. i think this game should add and not take away.
but hey twinrova showed up and there was that cool goth gerudo too!! i stan her.
oh and redeads in gerudo town or whatever it was? AMAZING. gerudo town was all spared from the calamity in the first game with no guardians making past the desert so having the town taken over and terrifying with the upheaval is just a good show of stakes stepping up.
OH!!!! and my number one favorite thing is that Link can make a drink that he was too young to order in botw. funniest possible thing that dude can do.
#i said the things i didn't like and then the things i did like...#so sorry to be negative at the start but i do love so many things i promise kjhghj#i just also have THOUGHTS that i havent been able to say so. yeah#anon#pocket talks to people#every single thing i just said was gained from osmosis. so . pinch of salt

Video game asks! 🎮
2, 3, 22
Video game ask prompt here.
2. Game(s) you are currently playing:
Oh shit. Alright, well let’s get one thing straight first. I am a Game-Hopping Whore™️ that likes to spread my love around.
But currently is Mega Man Battle Network (the first one), Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Tactics Ogre Reborn, Dragon Age Inquisition, Stardew Valley, and Hot Wheels Unleashed. I’m pretty sure that’s all the “current projects.”
3. 1-3 games you played in the last three months that you really enjoyed.
We already mentioned them above, but we’ll call them out more specifically here.
Tactics Ogre Reborn is a fantastic game. The way the first chapter alone shakes out and all the branching choices that exist for such an old game. It’s amazing. The art and music direction is lovely. It can be a very difficult game sometimes, and it has its glitches and issues, but nothing that is significant enough to detract from such a wonderful tactical roleplaying game experience. If you are a fan of Tactical RPG’s, please play this game.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns is honestly a game that surprised me. I ain’t afraid to admit I am a big ol’ fan of superhero shit and Marvel, so that already gives this property a leg up for me. But I had too many games I was already playing and I hadn’t heard enough about this game (nor do I know anything about the Midnight Suns), so I was gonna pass.
One of my friends recommended I pick it up because it reminded him of X-Com, and he thought I would like that. To anyone who liked the X-Com games, this is hardly comparable (I can see the similarity, but don’t go into this game expecting X-Com because it ain’t even close). Gameplay is turn-based strategy, and you use cards/deck-building to take your actions (a lot more fun than I am probably making it sound).
But the story is actually pretty good so far, I’m enjoying the unique character they made for the protagonist, and the ability to choose between being more light or dark as a hero is pretty cool. Plus being able to chat & build friendships with various superheroes from the Marvel universe is hella fun. I think they did a really good job with the characterization of these characters too! Plus, the variety of available heroes is perfect!!
If you like Marvel, and this sounds like your kinda vibe, go look it up!!! Watch trailers and maybe pick it up if it looks good. Maybe the more people that buy it, the more games like this these developers might make.
22. A game ending that’s really stuck with you.
This one was difficult, but I think at this moment in time I’m gonna say Adastra. This game caught me by complete surprise. I don’t tend to play Visual Novels, but I think I saw @togepete mention something about the game and how good it was? Then I saw a lot of comments and people exclaiming about how phenomenal this “furry gay visual novel” was and I was curious enough to give it a try.
I’m gonna be a jag weed though and not give any real details about it other than HIGHLY RECOMMENDING YOU GO DOWNLOAD AND PLAY THIS FREE GAME THAT CAN BE FOUND QUITE EASILY. I cannot emphasize enough how much this game caught me by surprise. It legit made me cry. Obvious caveat, if you aren’t into visual novels at all it may not be your cup of tea. But it’s worth the try.
#personal#my life#thanks for asking!#ether-blooms#I seriously need to actually beat some of these games so I’m not juggling so many#take my recommendations with a grain of salt#video games

Content warning on just, yeah its just me cutting my guts out and putting them on display for just maybe somebody to read, it’s gonna be long though as i want to just be understood. but I finally am at peace now tonight.
Nobody likes an traumatized autistic kid with parents who split up and had some nice emotional neglect to match, so I learned to what I now know as masking, I did everything I could to be quick witted and funny, not sure I achieved that but I made friends. They only liked me when I was funny however, if I ever acted like myself they always left, that was for sure. If I was not being funny I was trying to be the smartest well behaved kid in class despite the breaks that happened. friends left constantly and I only had myself to blame to be honest, sometimes I was an asshole and I think I still am based off how certain social interactions go. But i was not that sad, I expected it, sometimes it was me who stopped hanging out with them. I could tell it was gonna end soon anyways.
In middle school, despite it being nicknamed ghetto-lawn, I got into the gifted program and I found people like me, traumatized kids who are “so mature for your age!” Like what a nice way to say the childhood wonder has left a person so early. But, it was nice, never told anybody anything though and still masked but they didnt leave when it broke occasionally, it was a nice change of pace. We all wanted to end our lives but at least we had each other, the forever united cool kids, Aka FUCK.
Then quarantine hit, i never got their phone numbers as we all were weird about phones with our parents and to be fair I dont think I meant much to them but either way I lost them. I was not good for the next two years, blamed myself a bit. But I wanted to see people hurt, I became a bigoted for a bit online in dark RP’s, I just wanted people to feel rejection. I snapped out of it after making friends with a few furries and just fixing myself on that. still hate myself for that year.
Nothing much happened for a year besides losing like 70% of my sanity cursing out internet friends and calling them liars and leaving every friend I came across before they could disappear, doing it on my terms.
It was a bad day and I was talking with a person I met in a backrooms discord server and I just spilled my guts out about my stepdad and acted more like myself for once just to see if they would leave if I acted like that, plus it didnt hurt to finally vent about it all.
she didnt leave of reject me however, she didnt approach it with crazy kindness like others would have, I don’t like when people are super kind to me, especially out of pity, they usually want something.
we became internet friends, it was nice I had my bouts of mood swings and mental breaks but with the help of another friend I made I stayed. Lets call her D.
D helped me realize somethings and I came out as nonbinary, not even nonbinary as thats defined still, I hate being defined, but I like being understood. And she got me, more than others. She was like my older clone (just a year and a half), and it was the nicest time of my life, being understood, at least a little bit, and not being rejected. We had our pointless arguements of course, but those were for fun.
I joined tumblr, got back into art, i was a micro-celebrity of a small fandom I guess, I made friends I got better mentally despite my uncles death, thats a whole can of worms on its own but yeah.
i made friends, I was masking generally but I made friends, for some reason people thought I was cool. ME, being cool? I became the cooler anon, it was amazing, I made art for characters I liked, a artist I looked up to said they were proud of me. I cried badly when everybody realized I did art. I was even in a silly mutuals hunger games thing, people thought I was colorblind for BULLSHIT reasons. I was happy I think.
then my moms anemia got really bad, we thought it was leukemia, my mom did use to smoke so cancer was not a crazy idea, she gave me a pocket watch which I found weird but it said she will always love me on it, my parents have gotten better over the years but having a person you look up to yell at you while your bleeding cant be taken away. I love them still, I’m proud of them. But i thought she was gonna die. I started trying to surround myself with as much talk and banter as possible, just couldn't stand it, the moments before the wind.
I was being a clown again because I hoped to make somebody laugh because thats the only way I feel better. Everybody was disagreeing with me over a pointless argument and so I said I was modern day jesus, D pointed out he was not white so I corrected myself and said “I’m modern day white jesus christ.”, for the bit. But then one of my friends said “SHUT UP CRACKER.”.
I just kinda fazed out mentally then, id been called that before and everybody was going along with it, I was not expecting it and I hadnt been called that in years, with everything going on I just left, deleted my tumblr, left all my friends and left D.
I loved D, platonically at least. She got me, she was the best friend I ever made in life and I left. I dont know if she cared but I dont think she did which is for the best. I spiraled right back down to where I was at the start of 2022 again. Friends tried to contact me but there is no going back.
it was bad for a few months, contacted D again for a brief bit but i left because I felt for certain there was no healing that.
I made a new tumblr, reconnected with a og tumblr moot who I barely spoke with and that leads to here.
tonight I think I helped somebody but am unsure. I left another discord, and just saw this post and sat watching out at this:
There was cars passing by and the most beautiful song playing, it was in polish and there was no name to the song and I just sat and you know what.
I’m fine with how things are now, no changing the past, they are all gone now, I will always care for D and remember her, she changed me. I will never forget my time being happy for once in this fucking black comedy I call my life. It was worth not jumping out that window, I got to, for like half a year, be happy. I had somebody who got me. I had friends, I had somebody who understood me a lot more than anybody else has. I finally felt solace with what has happened to me in that fucking moment, listening to a nice song I dont understand the lyrics to watching cars go by in the middle of the night where I live.
I was delt a mediocre hand in life and thats that, I will always care and I will never forget, if I could spent a hundred years arguing with D over ketchup and normal potato chips again, I think I would. But thats not happening now and I think im finally fine with that. Always just keep moving forward.
people die randomly without closure, I dont think I’ll ever get closure, but at least I have found some solace with this shitty world filled with so many wonderful people.
why don't you look out a stranger's window and a glimpse of a life completely different and very like yours and remember we're all interconnected. and maybe you'll calm down.

Dino+Dragon Stroll @ Canterbury Village
🦖🦕🌿🌴🦖🦕🌿🌴🦖
May 27th was me and my wife Skyrah’s 7 year wedding anniversary and we are both HUGGGGGGGE dinosaur fans so we gladly signed up to go on the Dino+Dragon Stroll at Canterbury Village and it was the most magical experience, honestly! There was such good and positive vibes, it wasn’t overcrowded, and the animatronics were great :) it was fun to get somewhat of a sense of what some of the dinosaurs might have looked like! My fave ones were the giant bird-dinosaurs with feathers and wings or the furry ones like this guy, the Troodontidae!
Isn’t it crazy to think that alligators, crocodiles, and many birds like chickens are being scientifically proven to have descended from dinosaurs, or at least extremely close relatives to the dinosaurs. Really puts things into perspective.
The was my first time going to see any animatronic dinosaurs, and even as an adult, it was truly magical and captivating in every single way! They were HUGE, they moved, and even made sounds! I felt connected to them in a way I’ve never felt before and it was amazing to feel like if I closed my eyes I could imagine being back in time and hanging out with the dinosaurs like it was normal everyday life! 😂😂
The village wasn’t too crowded, they sold tickets for certain time slots so the crowds weren’t overwhelming, and it was honestly really nice. My wife and I don’t have kids, and we were a little nervous before coming out that we might be the only adults there, but thankfully that wasn’t the case. There was people of all ages and cultures and backgrounds, it was truly beautiful to see everyone coming together to enjoy and marvel about something more ancient and giant than us and our human lives.
I’ve been obsessed with dragons and dinosaurs ever since I was a little kid! I played with my little Dino and dragon toys probably more than any other toys I had! That pure sense of wonder and imagination of what it would be like to be a dinosaur or dragon captives my imagination still to this day!
Halfway through the stroll, we stumbled upon an amazing little shop inside of Canterbury Village called Down The Rabbit Hole, and I just have to say, it instantly gave me a whole VIBE! I saw the word “fairies” in the window and just knew I had to go in! As soon as I walked in, I was instantly moved by how beautiful and ethereal the essence of the shop was. There was something magical, beautiful, or unique at every twist and turn! My fave were the black fairies, there’s a huge lack of diversity in the fairytale community, more so throughout history, but black folks are beginning to reclaim fairy tales for themselves by retelling them with black characters, themes, and stories, and I’m HERE👏FOR👏IT!
#BLACKFAIRIESMATTER
The shop owner, Amanda, was extremely kind, thoughtful, and helpful while my wife and I browsed around. We ended up connecting over our shared love of fairies, fairy gardens, and fairy tales, and I’ll be interviewing her soon for a deep dive on the Down The Rabbit Hole gift shop!
At the end of the Dino & Dragon Stroll there were tons of really cool vendors and artists that sold various goods including dinosaur and dragon themed goods- lots of 3D Printed dragon art sculptures which were amazing! I even got myself this adorable 3D printed dragon wand that looks like Spyro the Dragon!
I can’t wait to come back next year, and maybe even be a vendor with my weird dinosaur dolls, custom painted minis, customized toy castles, and dinosaur fairy gardens! Who knows- the future is MAGICAL! ✨✨✨✨🦖🦕🦖🦕🦖
May The Dinos & Dragons Bless You,
Alex the FairyFindr

The Femboyants this art piece has been in the works for like unironically a year or two, it went through three revisitions as of this one and i also forgot to upload it yesterday anyway whatever doesn't matter
i'd fuzz over the things i did and describe them but the image description already did that for me, so i'll only fuzz over them :) so like felix right? my sona, i really love the top and what i did with it, fun asf, also the lights are like really cool too the second one, midnight, i didn't design the clothes of and doesn't belong to me either so yeah i'll just say the neon lights look amazing with him as pretentious as that may be the third one, autumn, i don't own per se but i did design them for a friend and now they're not a furry anymore so what does it matter anyway, yeah i just recicled and tweaked one of the outfits so there's that, the lights don't look as good as the others but meh
overall the lights are pretty cool, but it doesn't really feel as they're really there behind the characters because the lighting doesn't affec them but tbf it was kinda rushed aswell so it doesn't matter it's fine
stream kick back it's like really cool but pirate chainsaw man it's crunchyroll premium exclusive fuck crunchyroll

Dating Sebastian Stan would include...
Summary: Your camera roll has got a lot of memories from over the years. Here’s some more notable moments.
-these are fun to make, here’s another one
During one of the blessed breaks in between filming on the rooftop with your character, the Black Panther, and a roughed up Bucky Barnes here. You decided to snap one with the stunt guy and Sebastian all decked out in his MCU street wear. Of course he can never just smile for one single picture and this is the inevitable result. Still cute though, trying to act all tough and whatnot.
Visiting him from your own booth at ComicCon when you were telling him about an interesting and slightly oddball fan encounter that resulted in getting a pic of this face. You still crack up every single time you find it on your camera roll.
This is the only picture you have of Taika, it was self taken at an after party and you only realized he did this masterful art piece the next morning. Hungover and snuggled up next to Sebastian as you looked through pictures of last night. What an icon.
He wasn’t paying attention and soon you found a dog to pet, after a good minute of giving the little guy some head scratches and then sadly saying goodbye to the furry friend. You noticed Sebastian still hadn’t realized you’d walked away from him, to counter this, you shouted in the middle of New York City “is that Sebastian Stan?!” and instantly his head shot up in your direction. Revealing a shy smile on that handsome face of his, and you quickly snapped this adorable pic of him walking back to you after getting caught for not paying attention to his surroundings.
He wanted you to take a picture of him with the bottle, he said he looked cool holding it up like this. You said sure, but the bottle is just water so how cool could he really look? He laughed but still wanted the picture so he could send it to Anthony and tell him all the amazing shit he’s missing out on.
Filming for Endgame and your characters we’re supposed to me munching on some takeout. In between takes you and Evans would flick rice at one another while the Russo brothers weren’t paying attention. Scarlet on the other hand was, and called the both of you idiots.

Ranking and Rating All the Animes I’ve Watched (Which ain’t a lot)
Some of these might get me killed lmao but whatever. Feel free to judge me for my top fives
in order from least favorite to favorite
+++
15: Angel Beats: 2/10 for cool concept
- This is the only anime on here that I hate 💀 Idk why, there was just something about it. I’m not a big fan of romance so the ending was...eh. The concept is interesting as hell tho honestly
14: Banana Fish: 6/10 for Ash breaking my heart
- I know this is such a beloved show, but I just. Cant. Like it’s good, I like it, I’m just not a big fan of— idk how to explain it. Street fighting style anime? I like superpowers basically LMAO
13: Dorohedoro: 4/10 for Lizard bitch
- This is just Banana Fish on drugs and paranormal also as far as I can tell nobody falls in love here. I’m still watching and I’m struggling to get really into it, but I’m giving it a chance. The intro is one of the best ones on this list tho
12: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: 6/10 for intros
- I made it halfway through Part 2 then I gave up because it’s so batshit, but that’s kinda why I love it even though it’s so low on here. It wins #1 for THE BEST opening songs and intros
11: Hunter x Hunter: 7/10 for having one of the best villains
- I watched this entire goddamn anime and it just did not stick with me. I skipped a lot of episodes in the Chimera Ant arc because it would be one fight dragged on for three eps, however I will say I absolutely bawled at the end of it.
10: Yuri On Ice: 6/10 for Jerry Jewell the Russian King of Funimation
- Good comfort anime I binge watch every few months, my main beef with it is how repetitive it is. There doesn’t seem to be a lot at stake besides their careers and obviously the romance. Maybe it’s just because I’ve seen it so many times that I’ve become numb to it
9: Devilman Crybaby: 7/10 for WHAT THE FUCKFJJG
- I watched this mf in one night and I have not been the same since. The ending is fucking insane and I adore it, but everything else leading up to that is kinda lame. The animation is kinda ugly too lol
8: Beastars: 8/10 for sexy deer
- Can’t believe I made fun of this furry anime only for it to be one of the best things I’ve ever seen. Amazing plot, I genuinely can’t wait for more seasons especially since the manga gets insane. Also— that INTRO IS AMAZING
7: Soul Eater: 5/10 because Kid is in it
- My first anime besides SAO 🙌 Very unique art style I love it, also lovable characters. My main thing with it is that honestly the stakes seem a little too much for a group of fucking 15 year olds to handle but whatever, that’s most shounen anime in general
6: Demon Slayer: 6/10 for Nezuko and the orange mf I know will be my favorite
- I’m still watching this and so far I really like it, it’s just slow as hell. I’m not entirely sure what the main goal is, but I’ve heard it gets really good. Looking forward to another season if we get it
5: Fairy Tail: 7/10 for power of friendship
- I’ve loved this anime since I was like 10 bruh. I know it’s repetitive with “the power of friendship” but that’s what I like about it— nothing beats good character dynamics. Also wins the award for Best Hetero Ships in existence
4: My Hero Academia: 9/10 for the characters being AAA
- Hands down one of the best cast of characters, there’s not a single one I hate (besides Mineta but that’s the point of his character). The main issue I have with it is right now in the anime it’s still a little...kiddy? Like there was a festival arc after a very emotionally intense arc LMAO. Anyways, I’m excited for it to get more gritty
3: The Disastrous Life of Saiki K: 10/10 for amazing characters and comedy
- I just like dumbass fucking satirical comedy, as you can probably tell. This show made me laugh out loud so many times. If I had to choose anything to like not like about it it would be the fact that near the end of s2 it got kinda 😳😰 out of NOWHERE
2: Hetalia: 0/10 I fucking hate this dumb country anime
- I don’t even wanna talk about it. Just repeat what I said about dumbass satirical comedy and add my love for history and you get the mold that’s been growing in my head for over a year
1: Attack On Titan: unable to be rated bc it’s so good
- Honestly this just speaks for itself. Never have I absolutely loved a story and it’s characters this much, and it’s so well written I don’t know how Isayama came up with it. The ending was genuinely amazing. I’ll be thinking about this dumbass thing for a while . Also: amazing intros
+++
I have a long ass list I still need to watch tho this list will be updated in the future
Edit: lmao maybe I should say that this isn’t a list on which anime is good and which is bad, it’s just a favorites list. some of the ones I dislike are really good, they just didn’t stick with me 🤷

just curious, what’s your favorite and least favorite character design? my least fav for sure has got to be female byleth for reasons i don’t want to get in to yep ok have a good day 😁
IOops this accidentally became a rant, sorry
Okay so, to preface this all, I’m not a character designer and I’m actually pretty bad at it, but my rule of thumb with really unappealing or fan-service outfits is whether or not it makes sense character-wise and how much it tells the player about the character. For example, I think we can all agree that there’s quite a bit of fan-service elements in Hilda’s design. Boob window. However, it’s not unrealistic to imagine Hilda picking out those clothes for herself. Her costume tells you almost everything you need to know about her character on a visual level. She’s confident, pretty, attention-grabbing, and high maintenance while the gloves and laced girdle give a nod to her Viking-maiden roots.
Taking it to female Byleth, I don’t think that her outfit works on either front. Her design is definitely my least favorite and it’s not helped by the fact that you have to look at her at all times. Whatever. The huge, solid mass of boobs, the buttoned bib, the big eyes, the feather hair, the bellybutton, the ripped tights, the booty shorts. She’s a merc out in life and death situations with an accessible, pale, tacky 2000′s “stab me” stomach cut out and a wedgie. Which could be excusable if, like Hilda, there was reason to believe that that her costume was character choice. But she doesn’t really have much character, and what there is gives the impression of a very stoic, dry, blunt person. I have no idea why they’d have gone that route when the sexual appeal of more “utilitarian” costuming (aka, form fitting armor that at least pretends to be functional) for characters like her is scientifically proven AND would say more about the singular personality trait she possesses. Okay, well, I know why they didn’t do that and I think it’s lame. This dysfunction of “character designer wanted a sexy girl but it’s kinda random and just shoved in the game without any thought” actually reminds me a lot of Xenoblade 2′s leading ladies, Hikari and Pyra. Although considering that their bad designs led to a lot of people hating the game for superficial reasons while accepting female Byleth’s design, I guess I’m just bitter. Jumping to a different comparison, then, look at 2B from Nier Automata. Her design is fine as hell which is kinda hypocritical of me considering that it's explicitly fan-service, but I think it also shows the most damning thing for female Byleth. Her whole look, despite having a dozen different element thrown in, is boring. Maybe it’s the colors (dressing her in all black and white would have been really interesting considering the colors of the three lords are so heavily emphasized as a part of their characters) or maybe it’s just the way the desperate elements come together. But, like I said, I'm not even slightly knowledgeable about character design and I know that despite Three Houses being mostly separate, they had to appeal to a larger aesthetic brand to which I have little experience with. And, ultimately, a lot of people find her cute or sexy which...To each their own, I suppose. I don’t pretend that fan-service doesn’t work on me (2B... Cloud’s arms in the remake... Seph's shirtless Smash skin...) but when it’s this obviously inserted in by the character designers rather than feeling organic in any way AND looks bad I'm just not super interested.
The other worst designs for me would be all four of the Ashen Wolves post timeskip. I don't think it's controversial to say that they didn't try with the clothes, even if I love their designs from the neck up (Yes, even Balthus. He looks like the type of guy that would let you sit on his shoulders at a rock concert so you could see the stage). While there are other designs I think are unappealing, those are for purely aesthetic reasons and so I can't maintain the opinion that they're actively bad or that I even truly dislike them.
As for favorite looks... I actually have a few so sorry you're getting all of them because despite the shit I'm talking, I actually really really love the character designs in Three Houses.
Ferdinand's post timeskip is one of my favorite designs, if not my favorite. The hair, the coat, the armor, the spurs, the colors. You know exactly who Ferdinand von Aegir is just by looking at him. He’s wealthy, handsome, confident in his appearance, a hero, a princely type character, his battle form is mounted combat which is traditionally aesthetically reserved for nobility and leaders... I love it. The only reason I cannot say he IS my favorite is because of the three Lords. But before them, my honorable mentions include post timeskip Hilda, Dorothea, Lorenz, Felix, and Hubert. Granted, I could make a case for why I like almost all of the student’s post timeskip looks.
For the Lords, I obviously have to start with colors because, weirdly enough, Persona didn’t invent primary colors but are actually used as shorthand. Blue is the color of honor, loyalty, sincerity, sadness, and depression. Something I’ve always found very interesting is that blue is very rarely found in nature. To me, that’s always made it seem more lonely which, at least in this case, is thematically relevant. People call Dimitri boring pre timeskip and while I won’t defend his hairstyle (okay, actually, I probably would because he tucks it behind his ears and idk why but that’s one of the cutest things ever) I really like how unassuming he is. Bland. He’s supposed to be the plain shortbread cookie to caramel deLite Claude and strawberry meringue Edelgard. It is not in his character to draw attention to himself or stand out. To me, he kinda looks like an old Barbie prince, like he should have been named Dominic. Also I love the blue eyes/blonde hair thing and his more angular features. It really helps to sell him as the fakeout chivalrous prince type. Post timeskip, Dimitri's black armor is amazing. I love the fact that it’s a lot more intricate up-close with the different little shell-like pieces and the fact that his boots are furry. I love the big cape and the black and white fur around his shoulders. It’s really cool how they used his costume to change the shape of his in-game model to match the bodily proportions of the character art. It’s easier to see when you change his costume into the DLC ones, but the fur and cape build up his shoulders and chest look more broad while keeping that tiny little waist. The choice to give Dimitri an eyepatch is probably my favorite thing about this design. It’s genuinely inspired. Such a simple detail yet it tells the player everything they need to know about adult Dimitri when they see him post timeskip, in one frame the player can begin to understand the extent of his loss over the past five years. The subtle shadow under his eye in the first few Azure Moon chapters and the messy long-ish hair really help to sell the feral prince aesthetic as well, as it’s from those small cues the player gets that he’s exhausted (in more ways than one) and doesn’t maintain himself. None of these things are intentional choices by Dimtiri, they’re the result of what his character has been through.
Yellow is an intense, energetic color. Mostly, people think of it as being warm and inviting, the color of the sun and positivity. That intensity can be overwhelming, though, too visually demanding when compared to its primary counterparts. Don’t stare at the sun too long. Buuuut, it’s okay to stare at Claude. Claude not wanting to wear tight pants in either of his costumes is not only a mood, it is iconic. Pre timeskip, the softer lines of his silhouette makes him look kinda slouchy, kinda lazy. Like he’s not too concerned with appearances. But those adorably messy curls, the little braid, the clearly tended eyebrows, and earring make it clear that he DOES care about appearances and is very aware of his allure. And that’s before he even starts winking. It is honestly so in character that as many people picked him first on the basis of being thirsty, that feels like an intentionally Claude thing even if it was inserted by the designers. The contrast of his complexion with his seagreen eyes is gorgeous and instantly adds a kind of mystery and intrigue to him considering the setting... but it’s sf funny that nobody looked at bronze god Claude among a sea of white faces and thought something was up. Post timeskip, they used the same trick like they did with Dimitri to change Claude’s in-game model to match his canon appearance. The way they designed his uniform makes him not look as twink-ish, like he’s actually muscular and imposing and has the strength he’d need to shoot a war bow with a 120lbs draw weight. Also like Dimitri, you can instantly tell what Claude’s been up to. Like, he was very pretty pre timeskip but when he shows up in the Goddess Tower after those five years in all that gold, he demands your attention. Like a gentleman general with the excessive aesthetic ideals of the Alliance and details to imply his heritage. The quilted pants are amazing from both an aesthetic and practical standpoint. He’s a mounted unit riding a creature with scales, of course he’d want something on his legs for protection. And the chinstrap. I love that so much, it definitely makes him look more adult. He’s got such a cute soft baby face, it’s fun imagining him experimenting with different styles during the five years to get the most desired physical reaction to him as a leader.
Frenchfries, meet forehead. No, actually, Edelgard’s design is really fantastic. Claude and Dimitri both have realistically colored eyes and hair and then there’s Edelgard. Dimitri shrugs off attention physically and Claude shirks it with a wink but Edelgard commands the players attention from the very start. Although I’m sure there’s a lot of things to associate with white hair and purple eyes, my first thought was Daenerys from Game of Thrones. Otherworldly beautiful by with an edge. Red, of course, is The power color. Strong emotions, love and hate. Red is also associated strongly with blood, which is very important to Edelgard’s plot. Granted, I think the red and black association is even more powerful than JUST red and red is the cheapest play to make in regards to displaying villainy (I mean, there are some pretty universally recognized associations with red and black and it led to people making some unfair comparisons between Edelgard and a famous dictator) but I think it was effective and well used and I genuinely enjoy its use in her case. Anyway, if I had a major complaint about her design it would be the weird ashy color of her hair whereas Lysithea’s hair is pure white. Which doesn’t even matter with the AMAZING hair horns. Ram horns can actually symbolize quite a few things, but their association with power and strength is pretty universal I think. They’re also used in demonic imagery. I love that THIS was her alternative to a crown. Edelgard views herself as a force of war and power before she thinks of herself as royalty. She also mentions that she isn’t super vain, but she loves to do her hair, so the hair being the most elaborate part of her look is entirely in-character. Edelgard’s ensemble is, like Claude, very militaristic. I love that they kept her in a dress that embraces femininity without showing skin as that wouldn’t really suit her Also, again, Edelgard demands your attention. She’s dressed all in bright bright red waving around a giant axe. She is a symbol as much as she is a combatant, someone to follow. I didn’t really mention their secondary lord costumes, but a girl in sexy armor is literally everything and I love that they had the balls to put their main sexy waifu girl in full body armor.
Okay I’m sorry I realize this was excessive and probably didn’t need explaining and I’m not sure I even articulated my thoughts properly but anyway I love their designs so here is the positivity I’ll put into the world.
#fe3h#ferdinand von aegir#claude von riegan#edelgard von hresvelg#dimitri alexandre blaiddyd#haha i htae byleths design this was all just to justify my abject disgust for the way she looks#nobody sent me anything about dimitri's dick so this is what i've been reduced to

djfdjfd nxx at the same place at the same time for ridiculous reasons is amazing but I can't stop thinking about what would happen if the reasons were just. The Same everytime. Even when they fall into the same ditch Artem and Vyn somehow got there through a case and a conference. At first the boys are suspicious of one another because someone Has to be lying here there's no way this just keeps happening accidentally and then they realise no one's lying and this just. Happens alarmingly often. Each of them come out just the slightest bit more convinced by Zangr.
If they all had different reasons. Hm. Gonna use the furry convention one for this because it's the most fun and this team deserves more fun. I feel Marius is the easiest, he grew up when the furry community was more accepted than before, he's probably at least dipped his toes in the community. Maybe took commissions under a pseudonym. I could absolutely see him going to a convention to see how the community has changed and also maybe to look at the art because the art the community produces is amazing.
Where I live the one convention I've been to is near a bunch of office buildings and I'm pretty sure all conventions are held at the same place. Pretty easy for Artem to use his I have a case reason again if this were the case. Maybe he walks past the convention area on his way out and spots Rosa inside and she convinces him to join for at least one day.
I've always hced Vyn to pay attention to stuff hid students talk about. It's pretty clear from his personal story that he cares about their wellbeing and observes things about them that seem off, so he seems like the type to passively listen to his students just to make sure they don't fall into bad company. Maybe he hears a fairly large group of students talking about the convention and his interest is piqued. He's content with doing research online first, but maybe a conversation with Rosa steers down that subject, he's once again reminded, and because he wants to appear cool and reliable to Rosa he decides to go so he can make sure his knowledge is accurate and impress Rosa that he even knows a lot about furries. Of course that all falls off the rails when Rosa's there too.
Honestly Luke's the one I don't really know how to make fit. At first I was thinking of him and Rosa being furries when they were younger before he left because they also grew up when the furry community was thriving but he'd probably bring Rosa along if that were the case. And then I thought what if they planned to go alone and somehow every single one of the other boys just come and crash their date one by one. One of them because he saw her there. Now Luke knows how Vyn felt back during Lost Gold. They all enjoy the time there together though and if anyone comes out newly discovering they're a furry they're sure as hell not telling anyone except maybe Rosa.
xfjxtuxjg this got way longer than I expected but I liked the idea way too much to not pass up. Don't know about how in character this is because I wrote this out in like half an hour and did not go through it at all but it was fun!
🌌
irt to the nxx team COINCIDENTALLY showing up at the same place all the time
hi milkyway!!! glad to hear from u again and this is all SO FUNNYBKFJGDJF
The NXX Team All Find Themselves Falling Into The Same Ditch In The Forest grew on me after i offhandedly typed that out yesterday, i havent stopped thinking about it and ur additions in this ask make me even more delighted
one by one, they fall into the ditch, citing increasingly mundane reasons. yes, everybody slowly starts thinking "maybe zangr is onto something..." but nobody wants to admit that out loud so theyll have that meta spiral in their own heads until some kind of event catalyzes communication sdkjgbsdjgs
YESSSSSSS I LOVE THE REASONS UVE GIVEN FOR The NXX Team, Independently and Without Any Collaborative Planning, End Up At A Furry Convention!!!
ur right, ur RIGHT, marius did furry comms at some point because absolutely furries pay and treat artists so well and furries also make FANTASTIC ART, YEA. also, im supremely jealous of everybody who got fursona art from marius. can he draw my fursona too? PRETTY PLEASE, MARIUS?
mc is in there because shes a furry, full stop, her fursona is adorable no matter what animal it is. and yep, once artem sees her while on Convenient Field Work, he'll deffo go along bc he just likes hanging out with her :')
aww AWWWWWW WAIT, VYN GOING BC HE LIKES KNOWING WHAT HIS STUDENTS ARE INTERESTED IN!!! thats really sweet huhu, i love him. ive been pulling a running joke in some of my fanfics that vyn is a furry tho, but in this situation where hes a normie noob and gets to the con and meets up with the others Coincidentally, as he absorbs knowledge, he is struck by Yearning as well. he wants to make a fursona......perhaps....perhaps an owl? or maybe a deer? he will ponder about this later on
jbJBJFKGSD LUKE'S REASON U HAVE IS HILARIOUS. NOW U UNDERSTAND VYN'S SUFFERING!!!! but also ive got a suggestion
luke is there on a detective case
but hes gotta be undercover
and when ur at a furry convention, whats the best and most convenient disguise to have?
"Luke, is that you in there?" Vyn squints at the German Shephard fursuiter who made a very familiar squawk when Vyn had bumped into him.
The German Shepherd fursuiter is silent for a moment.
Then, a sigh.
"Yeah, it's me..." Luke mumbles.
thank u for this ask, i had a WONDERFUL TIME WITH ALL OF IT!!

Alright, follow-up post to the "ooooo serious post" I made earlier. You can tell I wasn't really feeling too well when I made it appear ten times more serious than it really is. My apologies, I was overthinking things again.
But my point stands, it is more serious than more things and I need to step my foot down and listen to my needs. (And all the other things around me. Oh, here's a quick sorry again if this is written way worse than my previous post, I woke up a while ago and I haven't been able to stop thinking about this since I went to sleep.)
What I want to talk about first is the name for the AU, being "Cingesnax". I haven't chosen the name myself, it popped up suddenly and people began using it/recognizing the AU as such and so I began tagging my reblogs and posts using the name. However to myself I still just call it "Shadow Filbo AU"
I'm not naming names, and you probably know who I am talking about but for a while there was an user who felt quite hurt by the use of "Cringe" in the name. I don't really like the name either, but I don't mind it as much.
I hammer it in often, which I am sure everyone knows and respects but - this AU is NOT meant for any harassment or making fun out of things. It's purely lighthearted fun and shitposting. It's tributing those things. To me these characters are based on me and my childhood which I poke fun at.
I can see why someone would feel hurt or targeted by the use of the word cringe around these things, considering how it's been used/overused to harm people.
I feel like I had to address this because I do not want to feel like anyone is targeted because of my creation. There won't always be people who like it, yes - but as the creator I feel liek I need to take some respolsibility here. And seeing people ahrmed is the last thing I want, really.
(The person does understand now though, they've replied to me and they're fine, so that's good, but I wonder if there's people who feel upset and haven't spoken up. I mean, that's their thing, they can just block the tag, which is why I overtag my things wich character names and such if you just don't want to see them for any reasons, especially triggers.)
I am still overthinking this and making this more serious, sure. And I KNOW not everyone will read and agree to this, but a simple solution to stop people from coming to conclusions would be figuring out a new name, or just me hammering it in even more as the og creator of this whole thing that it is lighthearted fun.
(Hell, a lot of the things being "made fun of" in this AU I genuinely like or are still a part of. Like Furry Gramble - I am a furry myself, and as I've said many times before he is heavily based on me when I was a younger, way more edgy furry kid.)
But that isn't the main and only reason why I am here and I am just overexplaining myself and making things appear way worse than they are. It's just me overthinking, really - but I still feel like letting everyone know and be responsible is important. Just a lil' reminder, a bop on the head if you will. Nothing too bad, but I fear nobody will read it if I'm not serious in the slightest.
Anyways, onto the other thing, being how this affected me as a peson. I absolutely LOVE seeing everyone's involvement and creations! I'm so very glad my creation brings joy to so many people, not only me and my friends. That it brings us together to just have fun, bond, and create. As said to me before, the fandom hasn't had anything like this before so I believe Shadow Filbo is important in that regard.
I'm still just a person and I want to talk about my work and interests to other people. Like people, you know. But I've also made it as an effort as a creator of a thing to respond to all the fanart I get, and just help people's work get out there. Same with OCs and all other creations within the AU. It all deserves to be seen, you're a great artist. And it makes me really happy to see people happy themselves when I respond to their work.
And even if the amount of stuff I've been getting daily has slowed down, it's still quite overwhelming to me sometimes. It feels like a chore sometimes and I don't wanna force a "YOOO ADSJDFEWRGREWGBRSTH" reaction onto everything because it's not always so genuine. I love seeing all the work but I won't have the excitement if reblogging it and putting in all the tags feels like a chore to me.
I want all this to be genuine and I've been feeling drained. It's absolutely amazing and I am glad that I had the chance and luck to have my work well-knowna nd noticed within a small community to be recognized even by the CREATORS of the thing I am hyperfixating on. But at the same time I feel responsible for a lot of stuff, and the effort I've made to be interactive is quite draining, as I've stated before.
It's taking a bit of a toll on me, and getting more stuff to respond to is like - dishes in the sink piling up into a bigger pile. I genuinely love all of this, but I'm just tired. I need a little break from responding to all of this... Just all the attention and stuff is making me socially exhausted. Definitely the fact I'm a massive introvert and my ADHD kicking in veery nicely. /s
I'm probably going to only reblog stuff involving my characters for the AU and Shadow Filbo himself - and any discussion in regards to the AU. Not someone else's art and OCs for the AU. There's a lot of it. Anyways, I'm starting to lag a little bit with how long this is getting. Yes, my computer is just that weak.
I'm already loosing track of what I've said but, yeah.
This AU has been great, I love it. I love you guys. I am happy for all the cool new people I've met, even if we aren't exactly friends. It's taken a bit of a toll on me and I'll do my best to take care of myself and just - not let it take effect on me. And I hope we can keep this place as accepting and inviting as it can be. Even if it takes changing the name etc. Though i know I cannot change individual folk's opinions.
Yeah, this is realy long now and I am getting double thoughts on this - and I have a test in 20 minutes so I am not sure how active I can be with this, but I doubt I'll be getting many responses yet considering it's 3 or so AM in the US. (9:50 AM here)
Cya guys, take care too. I'll upload a doodle I did yesterday as a little comfort thing after this :)
I hope I can get back onto working on OCs too, and just kinda sit down without artblock or executive dysfunction. Buh-bye now
(Also, sorry this is written in weird blocks/paragraphs, I'm doing this so it's easy on *my* eyes.)
#ramble#rambles#long#longpost#txt#shadow filbo#shadow filbo au#cringesnax#keeping that tag for now#I'm gonna have regrets once I'm less tired#The second I have slight regrets while typing or doing something I WILL regret it more later#I've made that observation well enough#But I hope what I mean comes across well enough...#bugsnax

Swamp Con Spring 2022!
This was my first ever anime convention, and also my first time cosplaying. I dressed up as Nezuko (from the anime, Demon Slayer). I planned it out about a month beforehand, and bought everything. I almost backed out; but I didn’t. It took a lot of self confidence to do, and also I think I went through with it because I already spent the money for it.
I went with three of my peers; Shannon, Ginnie, and Kevin; and we all had a very fun time. The first part of the convention we went to was the artists and vendor rooms - because at that time, that’s all that was open. There were a lot of very cool “spin-off” art pieces from a variety of different anime, video games, and manga. It was very fascinating. Additionally, there was a stand for furries, where they sold tails and ears; and another stand sold horns.
I had a lot of people approach me because of my cosplay. I ended up taking pictures with other cosplayers; I also had people talk to me as if they were Zenitsu (the person in love with Nezuko) - they spoke like him; for instance, someone called out “Nezuko-chan” in the same tone Zenitsu used. It was entertaining.
We also went to the larger vendor room, where we found a variety of anime clothing, figures, handmade earrings, and a lot of items I wouldn’t normally see in stores - or items that I would see very rarely at least. I did end up splurging on some very cute tanjiro earrings, and a Ju Jutsu Kaizen hoodie, which was embroidered - I’m not mad about the price because the stores I bought from were small businesses, so the associated fees, in my opinion, were worth it.
We then proceeded to the maid cafe, where there were coloring books and brightly themed tables; they served us sweet drinks and dessert. Everyone was in character; with a certain demeanor of maid characters seen in anime. The dance performance was amazing. We were still a bit hungry for more substantial food, so we took a break and got starbucks and papa john’s.
We checked out some of the vendors, and saw more cosplayers - some from video games, and other from anime. After that, we all split up.
I ended up attending a “MetaPanel” Paneling session. I learned so much about paneling that gave me a newfound respect for panelists; it also gave me the knowledge to create my own panel if I ever wanted to. I’ll share a couple of the key points I learned!
Paneling can be broken up into four main parts: creation, submission, prep work, and presenting/performing. In creating a panel, one must consider their passions, who their audience is when running the panel, how they want the panel to be run, and make sure the reason for paneling is genuine (and not for fame or free convention passes/perks). Next, the person has to submit the panel idea - with an appropriate title, detailed & helpful description and their resume! I was surprised about this part - panelists submit panel-focused resumes to conventions & the convention managers may even contact the panelists’ past places they paneled beforehand.
Following submission comes prep work; which can be quite a lot, depending on the type of paneling the person is doing. Examples of what is needed during prep work are visual aids, specified materials, communication within the group and convention managers, and rehearsals.
The final part of it all is to present: one has to be prepared (for strange questions, needed computer chargers or equipment, and showing up early), try to become acclimated to the surroundings (comfortability), and most importantly, have fun!
At the panel, I met Nezuko’s brother in cosplay and I took a picture with him; it was nice to see someone else from the show i was cosplaying from. After, I was invited by my bestie Meir with his friends to go to the Vocaloid concert.
I did find the Vocaloid concert a very unique experience; I’ve never done anything like it before. I listened to Vocaloid music in middle school, but today was the first time I revisited the music in a while. To elaborate, Vocaloids characters are fictional idols with synthesized voices - there is a software you can use with different character voices to create music. At the concert, we saw virtual characters - like Ren, Lin, and Hatsune Miku (Vocaloid idols) perform, projected onto a mesh screen. One of Meir’s friends let us borrow his concert light wands to wave during the performance.
Afterward, I left the building & saw a Pokemon car - which was sort of a final touch for me. I had so much fun, and I think I may even want to panel next year!
SwampCon has definitely shown me a different perspective, or rather, another side of the anime/manga world I haven’t seen before; and it’s amazing how so many people are so invested in making this really cool convention happen - and I do realize how this took an extremely large amount of dedication to do.

alright so im very inactive right now but an oc idea came to me in my dreams and....... more under the cut
this is qifeng (祁风) wordplay on the word 起风 which means to get windy
some background info
she's a border collie hybrid(?) FURRY and she's a treasure hunter! not to be confused with treasure hoarder but basically she's an unemployed and unofficial archaeologist addicted to bread. (my dog loves bread so i guess she does too)
she keeps to herself most of the time but gets excitable around anything she finds interesting. food-motivated. doesn't need glasses, she just thinks it makes her look more professional. honestly just a kid at heart even though she's grown.
from liyue but she's gotten into trouble with the millelith too many times to count so now she's travelling the world with the crux. she struck a deal with beidou and is now part of the crux crew as........... a janitor.
don't worry tho, she loves her work and getting praised by beidou is the best feeling in the world. also she gets to go treasure-hunting in cool places whenever the crux stops over at some place new.
she doesn't have a vision yet (cue foreshadowing) because she hasn't found her "true purpose" but she's always been fascinated by the concept of visions.
relationships with others
before joining the crux she did have a few friends one of them being xiangling. xiangling was the one who encouraged her to join the crux since she didn't seem too happy being stuck in liyue.
her family is pretty normal other than the fact that they practice martial arts. she grew up learning martial arts but it got boring and repetitive so she quit and learned archaeology on her own by reading research papers and accompanying actual researchers who come to liyue.
she's also somewhat friends with hutao since they often visit wuwang hill together. hutao enjoys pranking her but she has infinite patience and forgets all about it within a matter of minutes. fun fact, while she can't see ghosts, she can sense them and pick them out based on smell. gets roped into helping hutao out at times.
after joining the crux, she easily befriends the crew but still keeps to herself, preferring to work in silence and stare out into the open sea. this makes her a rather calming presence and is often around to hear kazuha's musings. now that i think about it, she has a similar personality with him but they are simply acquaintances and neither makes an effort to get to know one another. they're like bros.
qifeng looks up to beidou a lot. she thinks that beidou is amazing and in their free time, beidou tries to get her to learn how to wield a claymore. she sucks at it.
a more in-depth description of her appearance
she's a tall, broad-shouldered young girl with an athletic build. often got mistaken as a boy in her younger years. she has dark midnight blue hair and floppy ears. her eyes are black with a greyish hue. her mid-length hair is messy with the ends sticking out all over. likes to style her hair into two low ponytails. the tiny round glasses she wears do not have lenses.
her outfit used to be traditional martial artist wear but it quickly evolved into a top and overalls. she alternates the top she wears but the overalls remain the same throughout.
ahhh this post is all over the place right now i might make a neater character sheet next time when I'm free lol
