bringing back old ocs i still like :) they r dating. the hyena/dragon guy is krum (he/it/they) and the squirrel girl is moj (she/it). theyre in their mid 30s and live in oregon. moj is a weird stoner that was a yoga teacher in her 20s. id describe her as like, mows the lawn in her underwear. shes probably always in crystal shops. krums favorite drink is tequila and he also needs tattoos when i can think of good ideas for him. his thing is being moj’s hot beast of a man, mostly bcuz i forget if he used to do anything else. also theyre polyamorous but i have yet to design another partner

i love when ppl draw furries with proper body mods or make up. dyed fur (both on head and body), piercings that take advantage of big ears, make up that uses colored pastes instead of powders (so it stays on fur)

It's funny, as a tween/teen I absolutely loathed other kids my age. I was so scared of them after years of bullying. I saw pretty much every aspect of mainstream teen culture as a threat and devoid of value. But now that I'm older, even people in their early twenties have me like 🥹 Like I know to their peers they may be just as much a source of distress as they were to me, but from the eyes of a secure adult, all teens just seem like the most amazing thing ever. They're figuring things out! Becoming real people with developed thoughts and feelings! Creating silly tiktok dances and thinking they discovered big jeans and misusing words like preppy! You go, you funky little teens, make your own identity.

(This post inspired by the teen who delivered me a desk I bought on FB marketplace. He was a baby metalhead and just so sweet and polite I wanted to squeeze him.)

#i do think The Youth nowadays are overall a bit better than they were when I was younger #i mean I grew up in the 'that's so gay' and 'that's so r-word' era #but part of it is definitely just me #realizing that even ~cool kids~ are just figuring shit out #and most aren't bad people #I actually remember starting to realize that in my senior year of HS #and feeling like I'd missed out on getting to know some wonderful people #i was talking with a teen who worked at the cafe last year #and she was making fun of furries for a while #before I just gently said 'well sure but... does any of it hurt you? Who cares if they're weird let them be weird'#and she got kind of quiet then went 'huh. yeah. that makes sense.'#like that right there is teens!!! she was being mean because that's what everyone was doing!#and then she thought about it and was like oh yeah I don't have to do that actually #amazing!#they are growth and evolution personified!
