You know how Evoloution is the Youthful Naturalist's ambition?

I wonder if it'd be possible to rewrite it as if the Naturalist was a player doing a preset ambition. Like how someone plays, say, the "Bag a legend" ambtion etc.

I'll probably work on this the moment I get time because it seems like a fun project tbh.

ALPHA KIDS: Draw your best friends!

DIRK: I'd say I'm better at one on one character interaction work of the more intimate variety, but I think this piece came together nicely. DIRK: Fun for the whole family style wholesomeness, any motherfucker in the radius of a screen displaying this image will instantly get hit with a sore case of heartburn and their tear ducts will clock in overtime at the weeping factory.

ROXY: im so proud of these i think these are my best designs yet :3 but omg dirk callie and jake were SOOO peculiar about their damn designs over my shoulder. jake wanted me to clarify that even in pink pen form his little guy is BLUE. so there. sigh this is the one occasion they could take notes from janey.. JUST LET LE ARTIST WORK!

JANE: Boy! I don't draw often but I always was fond of calligraphy growing up. I was kind of inspired by all of the other's works, but especially Calliope's swirls she puts in her art. It's very fun to add!

JAKE: Im not quite the best with posing, but i find the head very fun to study! Especially skulls.. so good ole calliope makes for the perfect muse! (hehe)

CALLIOPE: i realized i hadn't ever made a piece with Us in the same place at once. u_u CALLIOPE: bUt since it's reality now here's all of Us together, United at last! ^u^

Seeing generative AI in queer spaces is chilling for a lot of reasons. Not least among them being that it's an easy way to edge out queer creators who are already in a precarious position, facing book bans and attacks from all sides.

As a queer history resource, watching an AI try and fill the roll that has taken so long to carve out for actual people, is disheartening. It's great to know that there is demand for queer history resources, but after so many queer people have worked so hard to build a space for themselves, it feels disrespectful to watch that spot be filled by machines.

Queer people have won the battle in a way, convinced the world that our stories are worthwhile. I suppose it shouldn't be shocking to see that the response is to try and find a way to not compensate queer people for any of their work and value.

the thing i love most about duke/danny is that they both have Just Some Guy energy. like if you just passed by them on the street, you wouldnt think anything about them. theyre Just Some Guys! they seem totally normal!

and then you get to know them and its like. oh. theyre Not Normal. this isnt even about the powers or the lives they live, theyre just Not Normal and thats very fun.

put them together? you get a couple of the most chill, normal looking guys doing things like making a Gotham Ghost Gang to protect witnesses and their families from criminals looking for revenge, or overthrowing an underground meta fighting ring that they infiltrated by purposefully getting kidnapped and then pit against each other. this is happening both in and out of mask.

i love these guys and i think they can make each other both worse and better :)

the local hospital (which houses most of our outpatient medical specialists in the area as well) is a teaching hospital, so every july i get assigned to a new psychiatric resident to prescribe my medications and periodically assess me. every year i think about making a powerpoint presentation or a cute little zine with all their intake questions answered, including the ones they will forget to ask for four months. you know, key personal facts and a timeline of my medical and prescription history and some FAQs previous residents have found helpful. little sections for "meds i have failed and why" and "diagnoses since proven incorrect" so they don't have to waste time revisiting those. however i worry about what this might reveal about me to someone who really wants a career in studying what's wrong with people.

reminder that it’s okay to just write ‘the fun parts’ of a story if you want. if you get joy from writing the same scenario (like, a g/t meeting, certain comfort scenario, a specific fearplay moment) you can just write that. you don’t have to feel guilty for not writing build up or a whole story around it. if it’s just for you, it doesn’t need context. and if you wanna share it with others. a quick ‘hey these are my OCs [with possibly a brief description] when they [scenario here]’ is usually enough context for readers to enjoy it as a short story.

this applies to drawing too. write and/or draw what you want. let yourself go wild with ‘the fun parts’. you deserve to have fun.
