And finished up my sona's updated design with the addition of the fully fledged dragon form!! 😊
{For those who haven't seen the previous one here}
Same thing applies for this one: didn't change too much or do anything drastic to still make it recognizable from the last, outdated design.

Also, just to put this one below the main picture so you can get a better idea of what the body type/shape is like if you ever wanna try drawing her:

My Dragon
Warnings: 16+, dragon and mermaid, mention of dark underwater spaces and mermaid/dragon tails
I’m sorry if this is a little long!
If you’re not comfortable then please don’t hate!!
Neuvillette x female reader
“Do you trust me?”
“With my life Mon Ange”
Holding his hand, you were swimming to the deepest depths of the waters of Fontaine. Neuvillette looked around in awe, observing beautiful creatures he had never seen before, how even though no sunlight reached these dark depths, the plants around them lit up the whole ocean. He felt as if he was in a different world altogether, one where he felt serene and calm, where he felt at home. He then looked in front watching his love guide him to their unknown destination, and felt like his breath was taken away. No matter how many times he saw you like this, he would always be awestruck and fascinated by how beautiful you looked in your true form; that of the Mermaid Princess.
In his eyes, every single detail about you was just phenomenal: your gorgeous blue tail, your long brown hair which had streaks of blue and lavender in them, and the shimmering crown you wore on your head that made every creature in these unknown waters bow their heads in respect. You looked ravishing in his eyes, so gentle yet your aura commanded respect, how you held his hand so reassuringly so he wouldn’t get lost in this unknown place full of wonders. He then felt his heart flutter as you turned your head towards him, locking your gaze with his. Blue eyes met Lavender as the world stopped for him for a moment, gosh he was so in love with you. The man who 5 years ago could not understand human emotions was now so deeply in love that sometimes it baffled him. His love for you was deeper than the deepest oceans, his love knew no bounds and he knew you felt the same way about him.
“What’s wrong love? You seem awfully quiet.”
“Ah forgive me Mon Ange, I was just lost in your beauty..”
You looked away, cheeks blushing pink as his words made your heart skip a beat. Leaning close, you placed a soft kiss on his lips.
“We’re almost there, are you sure you’re ready? If not, we can still return..”
“…No; I’m sure..I can feel that this is the right thing to do, and with you by my side, I’m ready for anything” He looked into your eyes with a soft smile, nodding reassuringly. You smiled wide, intertwining your hand with his once again and started swimming into a little hidden cave that you were well acquainted with.
Tonight was special, tonight you were going to help neuvillette in attaining his true form, that of a dragon. The past few months he had been feeling his power grow, and you knew that it was time for him to gain his true form so that he would become the all powerful Hydro Dragon. You were Neuvillette’s soulmate, in every way, and your connection to him was deeper than that of love. It was eternal and unchanging, just as the tides and the scent of rain. You realised that he needed time and help to transform, for he had no idea what to do in order to reach the pinnacle of his powers. He was born as a human, and due to his foggy memories he was finding it impossible to achieve his true form, until you decided to help him out in your own ways.
You led him inside the cave, which was huge and shimmered due to the countless crystals everywhere, bioluminescent lights emitting from various plants reflecting upon the walls. It was a breathtaking view, perfect for the two of you. You stopped swimming, looking at your lover.
“Alright, now listen to me carefully hm? To achieve your dragon form, you will need time and patience. Tonight you will not become a complete dragon, but we will start by making you familiar with your tail and how to use it. You will look something like me, except your tail will be much longer, and you’ll be stronger than ever. You will attain all your powers today which will help you to fully transform into a full fledged dragon once you’re ready. However, this process can be painful for you…I’ll try do to whatever I can to ease it.”
Neuvillette listened to each word carefully, and just felt so lucky to have you by his side. All of this was quite confusing for him but having you here with him eased his troubled mind. “Alright sweetheart, I understand..But, I don’t know where to start..”
You chuckled, kissing his forehead softly “Close your eyes and just focus on my voice and the water around us. Feel the water around you, become one with it, for it is your element and your home.”
He did exactly that. He closed his eyes and allowed himself to feel. He resonated with hydro, and let himself relax underwater in this serene cave. He then heard your melodious voice singing a tune and felt his heart warming up. This was the tune you’d hum for him every time he was anxious or sad, and just like that the rain would stop. For a while, nothing happened. But as he focused more on his power, he felt something deep within him stir, and a sharp pain shot throughout his body. He groaned and felt something: a power so strong, an authority unlike anyone else’s and a love so deep that it could drown him. He felt overwhelmed with this whirlpool of emotions, pain and power; he felt your voice fade away as he felt the power of all of the water of eons past surge into his veins.
You on the other hand, gasped at the view in front of you. It had worked, he was transforming and you could feel it. However your heart broke hearing his groans of pain, but before you could reach out to help him, a sudden glow of light pushed you away. A few seconds later as you regained your composure to look at your lover, you gasped and your eyes widened.
There he was, in all his glory, Your Dragon Sovereign. His well built upper body was bare, his long white hair were now flowing freely and his horns, although unchanged, glowed. He now had a huge deep blue tail, his form was so much bigger than yours. His arms were a fading shade of blue as well, and the power that he held made you shiver. You had always been able to feel a great amount of power in neuvillette, but now it increased by ten fold, so much that it was enough to make even the celestial gods kneel in front of him. You approached him slowly as his eyes were shut tight, his breathing heavy from the strain the transformation took.
Gently cupping his cheeks, you spoke softly “Neuvi? Love, are you alright?” He opened his eyes at your words, looking right at you. His eyes were glowing too, and just seeing him in this form made you fall in love with him even more. However, he did not answer you, rather he looked at you with an unreadable expression. As you were about to open your mouth to speak, you ended up gasping loudly, feeling his strong tail wrap around yours, making your body crash against his. Shivers and sparks went up your spine at the contact of his tail against yours. Archons, it felt amazing.
“Mine. My mate.” You heard Neuvillette growl, his voice deeper than ever, full of authority yet love. Tears formed in your eyes listening to him calling you his mate. Finally, you weren’t the only one who felt that deep connection to him. Finally, he too knew that you were more than his lover, that you were his mate for the rest of your lives. You smiled at him, wrapping your arms around his neck. “Yes My Dragon, I’m yours, only yours..”
Neuvillette smiled at your words, his eyes looking down to see his own form, although not complete yet. He loved the way his larger tail engulfed your frame in his arms, and the contact of your tails intertwined together felt so intimate. He looked at you with a gentle smile “So, how do I look Mon Ange?”
“You look absolutely majestic My Dragon..”
At those words, he felt himself act upon his instincts, kissing you with such passion that it literally and metaphorically took your breath away. His strong arms held your body against his, as your kiss became more hungry, more lustful. Neuvillette’s dragon instincts were overpowering his thoughts, he wanted to mark you his. Only his. He wanted to show the world who you belonged to. He pinned you against the glimmering cave walls, being so easily able to control your body just by using his tail. His lips left yours, travelling down to suck on your soft skin, leaving red marks of possession wherever they travelled. At long last, he found your sweet spot, and looked up into your eyes for a second as he bit down, fangs pressing into your skin leaving a dark and permanent mating mark.
You moaned out at the feeling, gripping onto his long hair and then felt yourself gasp as a sudden power flowed into your veins. A power so strong that you knew it didn’t belong to you, it was his. By marking you he had shared his power with you, his mate. “Oh gosh neuvi…my love…”
He smiles, pulling back to look at the beautiful mark on your neck which would never fade away, and then he looked into your beautiful blue eyes which were fogged with desire. “I entrust my powers to you Mon Ange, from this day forth everyone shall know you as the Ruler of not just the mermaids, but also of the waters of Fontaine. You will forever be known as the Hydro Dragon’s mate..”
You felt breathless, yet so loved. You couldn’t believe that you had the fortune of being the Hydro Dragon’s mate. My, how lucky you were. You breathes heavily as as caressed his jaw “I am honoured to be your mate..”
He smiled at you, but the way you called yourself his made his desires even stronger. He needed to make you his, he needed to make you moan his name louder. He wanted these shining walls to be the witness of his everlasting love for you, and one look into your eyes told him that you wanted the same. He kissed you again, this time hungrily, as his lips travelled down to your breasts, sucking on them hungrily.
Your breathy moans were music to his ears, and your body was his addiction. He sucked on your nipples, making sure to give equal amounts of attention to both. After a long while of marking your breasts leaving them red and aching for more, he looked up at you, glowing eyes full of lust and his deep voice laced with desire which clearly indicated that tonight he was not going to stop anytime soon. “I love you Mon Ange..”
“I love you too, My dragon..”

WoF x TWST. Yuu, Grim, and the great seven.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Master post More WoF x twst AU! More info and rambles past here
(And size chart at the bottom cause I know WoF sizes are wack)
Makes the most sense to start with Yuu first, yea?
Yuu: They get to be human still! Yay them! In this AU I wanted scavengers/humans to be extinct. Why? To make Yuu even more outta place. There’s a bit more to them as a character, but I’ll save that for the writing of the AU.
Grim: I played with the idea of making him into some kinda cat-like fantribe. But settled on making him still very cat like but with more dragon like qualities. Also bigger. And I’m still playing with the idea of him having a smaller form closer in stature to him cannon size. (So he can still ride on Yuu and have something unique to him) He was really fun and really hard to figure out, cause I almost made him more wild cat looking, but I didn’t end up liking it.
(I don’t plan on giving the ramshackle ghost their own full fledged refs, or even just head shot/bust refs. Apologies to all.)
and now onto the seven! Who I’ve turned from Disney Villains into WoF villains/antagonists (they are in order of left to right too to bottom)
Queen Scarlet: “The Scarlet queen” I know that an icewing might have been more fitting, with all the rules they have. But! I went for color pallet. I’m also heavily bias. So Scarlet gets to be queen of hearts
Queen Wasp: “The Queen of Tribes” a big reason for picking Wasp over Blister in place of scar is the fact that, well, she did rule over the silkwings for a good 50 years give or take. And I have this head cannon that she’s fair more clever than she’s depicted in the books.
Albatross: “The great seawing animus” I REALLY wanted Ursula’s WoF substitute to be a seawing. And there was NO WAY I was using whirlpool. (If you know you know) also I have him holding the drawing for the summer palace
Blister: “The sister of Brilliance” If this clever villain wasn’t getting to be the Scar stand in, she was going to be the Jafar stand in. (And yes I drew her holding the eye of onyx. If you know. You know.)
Chameleon: “The beautiful shapeshifter” okay. Scarlet would have gotten to be the Evil queen stand in if I wasn’t dead set on making her the stand in for the queen of hearts. So I had to pick the next best character. That being Chameleon. I don’t have any big reason for him being the Evil Queen besides the fact he has those scraps of scroll to turn into a few other tribes (I can’t remember if there were more than the Icewing, Nightwing and skywing. Because I wanna say he had four tribes he turned into) and also I have him holding Darkstalker’s scroll
Queen Diamond: “The queen of Ice” another one who I just kinda picked the “oh ugh-this’ll do”. I mostly picked her cause of the spell she cast on foeslayer to keep her trapped. So I guess she gets to be the Hades stand in.
Darkstalker: “The Darkstalker” that title is subject to change. But since he already had one in the books may as well use it! Anyway, it only made since to make the most clever and powerful Wings of Fire villain be the Maleficent stand in. Drew him when he escaped from under the mountain because that pose felt like the most powerful one for him. (Although like scarlet I’m very bias)
welp that’s the WoF seven (shockingly hard to pick who would be who. Besides Darkstalker he was easy)
Size chart time!
Tumblr media
The dragon examples are Skywings, and I’m of the belief that mudwings and nightwings are larger than skywings but I picked skywings to be the chart comparisons because not meany characters will be much taller or shorter than an average adult skywing. Well, besides the staff but that’s besides the point.
it also has Grim and Yuu because I feel it’s very important to know how tall these two are. (And if I give them exact measurements my brain won’t remember) I was also tempted to add in some kinda animal in here because we’re going largely with mega fauna and flora. But it made the chart crowded. But know I intend for even chickens to be larger than Yuu. (Or about the same hight not sure yet)

Buddha and Hades with horned Y/N
Tumblr media
Characters: Hades, Buddha
Tumblr media
Yes, I think he wouldn't try to talk to you, because from the outside you looked like Poseidon
You were quite respected, but you were also feared for your heavy aura, although you were not evil, but there were all sorts of rumors about you
They didn't talk to you much about this, and in general you were consumed by a feeling of loneliness, and you decided to find someone who could chat with you
Why the Buddha? You didn't understand it yourself, it's just that when you especially needed communication, it was as if he found you himself
Yes, and then you started talking, you were older than him, but that didn't make it any less interesting with him
After that, you began to communicate more, of course there were no incidents, he was genuinely surprised when you said that you had never eaten popcorn.. I think then you fully appreciated his kindness)
Your ears and horns were certainly noticeable, but he did not immediately see them, then when you were sated with conversations, he looked around and realized that your ears were longer than usual, he thought you were an elf, but the horns confused him
You explained that you didn't quite know the name of your race, you were something between an elf and a dragon, so to speak a love experiment, of course you also had a tail and wings, but you couldn't turn into a full-fledged dragon
Therefore, when he asked to ride him, you refused and said that you would not lift him (😀)
I think he will try to touch your ears, but this should not be allowed! The skin on the ears is especially tender, (according to all the canons of the big-eared) and the horns were not so sensitive, so let it touch you to your health
Of course you were older and you were generally brought up differently, that's why you extended the courtship season, of course when your relationship reaches a new level, it will definitely take several years (millennia if he didn't rush you)
When you first kissed, you bit his lower lip, and he didn't feel strange to you, and in general it tasted like blood that then poured out of his lip, from that moment you became more careful
Maybe a little later you will still allow me to touch your ears, but he still needs to get to that, just let's do him good luck, ok?
Tumblr media
King of the underworld, an interesting title and for you it was no exception
Hades is the king of the underworld, you knew about him, but you were interested in his personality, what was he like? Like his younger brother Zeus or like Poseidon? You didn't know but you were interested
He did not visit Valhalla often, so when he nailed you were more than surprised
Yes, he looked like Poseidon, and he looked calm and balanced, you approached him and started a dialogue first, of course you didn't really hope for an answer, because if you are respected and revered here, it's not to know that he knows about you
But your thoughts scattered when he answered your request. Oh, yes, he was not completely like any of his brothers, so to speak, the golden mean
Of course, he was older and had no more experience, and for you he was extremely interesting, and in general he didn't care about your aura (which you can't hold) because in general he was stronger and could just crush you
He was immediately interested in your race, he learned about a slightly strange couple that your parents formed
You could chat on duty, exchanging experiences and stories from life, you liked each other)
I think your courtship stage was long enough, so much so that Aphrodite already began to be interested
The first kiss.. It was passionate, perhaps because of this expectation, it tasted tart like wine/grapes with an admixture of honey, of course you already bit your tongue, but it didn't hurt, although it added a taste of blood
Well, in general, you are both elegant and charming, a good couple I think)

Ye Olde Magick AU
All of you should thank @books-n-guns for this. What once was a silly little AU about the Starks and their fangs and making everyone around them develop a biting kink has now turned into a full-fledged AU with lore and magic and other houses getting characteristics. Basic lore: — Magic exists within the bloodlines of all noble houses, though from different sources. It's strengthened by two things: the existence of a group's homeland and the religion the magic is tied to/originates from. — The First Men got their magic from their adoption of the Old Gods and their Pact with the Children during the Age of Heroes. Since the decline of the Old God religion in the south the northern nobles house don't have as many characteristics as they used to. — The Andels came with their own magic along with The Seven. Since their religion is more widespread the Andel houses have a lot more characteristics than any other house. I'll probably do two more posts: one about the lore, and the others about the gods who are real and are trying to be more active in Westeros because world ending reasons. Because there is now plot, however it may change. Also I might do the other houses. Might. Ideas are welcome.
Without further ado, here are some of houses and their characteristics.
The Starks (now): Sharp fangs (X). Resistant to the cold. In the past the Stark were so cool looking. Bigger and sharper fangs—proper wolf fangs I'm telling you—and pointed ears with ear tufts. Slitted eyes that could see in the dark. Sharp claws and thicker body hair (both men and women), and enhanced senses. Because of Catelyn's river nymph traits, the Stark-Tully kiddos can breathe underwater and talk with the fishes. Might also have a bit of enhanced strength. Resistant to cold. Jonny boy, however, doesn't get anything from his Targaryen bloodline until Dany brings back the dragons. Resistant to cold (Stark blood) and heat (Targaryen blood), and breaths fire (Targaryen blood). The Tullys: River nymph traits. Gils and enhanced strength. Haven't changed much though it has been noted they aren't as nymph-like as they were in the past. Don't fuck with their rivers you will be drowned. Can breathe under water and communicate with the fish, hence the trout. Needs to bathe in a river or any body of fresh water once a month or they'll start looking sickly; any longer and they'll die. The Martells: Snake fangs mostly, though there have been some with forked tongues or snake eyes. Rarely all three. Can make their own saliva poisonous at will. Has been known to coat their weapons in their own poison. Resistant to heat though not flame proof. The Baratheons: Horns/antlers. Basic? Yes—but the Baratheons have long since mastered the art of making their horns look both mighty, dangerous, and handsome. Many an enemy has been impaled upon or had their heads ripped off by the house of Storms End. Some say that the ancestors of the Baratheons used to be able to bring storms and fierce winds thanks to the blood of Elenei Durrandon in their veins. The Lannisters: pays their debts shits gold Lion fangs and sometimes manes. Can actually roar. In the past they were as fierce looking as the Starks; humans with lots of lion characteristics such as sharp claws, toe beans, slitted eyes and even whiskers. Some Lannister women were born with lion manes, and there are one or two theories that Lann the Clever was in fact a woman with a mane. The Tyrells: Dryads-Anthousai mixture. Yes, even the males. It's an AU and ASOIAF, and mom says I can. They have flowers in their hair—roses. mostly, though Olenna has a beautiful and deadly flower and thorned circlet—and can shift their skin to be any type of bark of any type of tree so long as they form a connection to it. Looks healthier in the spring/summer; dead looking in winter (no seriously they look fucking dead, and more than once people thought Olenna had finally kicked the bucket. Boy did Tywin have a nasty surprise). Not at all flame proof. The Targaryns:
At first they were the most Basic And Boring of all noble houses. The only thing cool about them was their dragons, and those died out. With Valyria destroyed in the Doom, the Fourteen Flames no longer being followed and the dragons gone, the Valyrian magic within their veins either died out or went dormant. Now they're just heat resistant and beautiful looking. It was only when they started marrying into other bloodlines/houses did they start getting characteristics—or rather, the characteristics of other houses such as Rhaenys Targaryn/Velaryon having antlers and the Baratheon square jaw can someone please start drawing her with it and Baelor Breakspear having the Martell snake traits. That is, until, Daenerys 'Stormborn' Targaryn brings back the dragons. The Dany that stands admist the ashes of her beloved husband is not the same who walked into the flames. The return of dragons has re-awoken the valyrian magic in her blood and it mixes with the westeros magic. She stands tall and unburnt with her dragons in her arms, patches of shimmering silver-gold scales on her thighs, arms, shoulders, breasts, neck, and they follow the curves of her cheekbones. Violet eyes with slitted pupils blink slowly. And protruding from her head are the beginnings of white horns. Soon they will start to grow. They will be elegant and beautiful, up and out, almost like an ivory crown. The Dragon Queen has been born.

Hi!! If the Papyri are knights what are the Sanses? Also you should totally make an AU of this, you beautiful brain
You have no idea, none of you have any idea how absolutely insane I went about this goofy little one-off AU concept
...Some of you have an idea. And some of you maybe know me well enough to have just guessed I would go off the rails the way I have lol
Anyway, this is the first, but absolutely not the last of The Court AU:
Sans (Undertale): The court jester, in possession of a quick wit and a cutting sense of humor and with no desire to let either go to waste. He’s much beloved at court and prides himself on his ability to make even the stuffiest of courtiers chuckle with his jokes and pranks—and his jester’s privilege makes him nigh untouchable to those who somehow aren’t amused by him. It’s a good life…
Papyrus (Undertale): A proud knight of the kingdom and a member of the Royal Guard! Er…well…eventually, he will be. The Captain won’t make him a full member of the Guard until he’s proven his valor through a series of knightly quests…but she won’t tell him what the quests are, so he travels the kingdom as a knight-errant, helping those in need and solving problems that may or may not have needed solving! You’re welcome, good citizens!
Sky (Underswap Sans): A squire, or knight-in-training, attendant to the Captain of the Guard until he properly earns his own knighthood. …Frankly, he’s already capable and qualified to be a knight now, but he’s aware that the Captain has some reservations regarding his health and is hesitating to just give him the job because of it. He fully intends to prove himself to her in the line of active duty, and someday be recognized as a fully-fledged knight of the realm.
Paps (Underswap Papyrus): The court archivist, most at home amidst shelves of tomes and records and far away from the social obligations of the court itself. He tracks and preserves all kind of documents, from agricultural reports to genealogies to romantic poetry, and is on call to locate specific texts for any nobles or otherwise literate folks seeking to reference them. It gets a bit musty sometimes but he wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Jasper (Underfell Sans): A mercenary, traveling the kingdom in search of people to sell his sword to for a bit of coin—and then traveling in search of satisfying ways to spend that coin. He does occasionally venture outside the kingdom for both of these things, but he has quite a few connections to well-paying opportunities within the borders, so as much as he avoids putting down roots, he tends not to stray too far from ‘home.’
Pyre (Underfell Papyrus): A knight in the Royal Guard, touted as a black knight for the scorched and stained armor he wears—a marker of the many deadly, heroic feats he’s conquered. No quest is too dangerous, no enemy too great for him to overcome, and he bravely takes on what lesser knights fear to risk. He’s quite accomplished dealing with dragons, and wildfires, and even mages, who always seem to cast fireballs and…well, perhaps that’s the reason his armor is so blackened…
Mal (Swapfell Sans): Personal guard to the Empress herself, nominally part of the Royal Guard as well but far from the front-lines of battle as his duty to her highness’ safety comes first and foremost. He’s involved in a lot of the structuring and scheduling of patrols for the lower ranking guardsmen, and his opinion is often sought in matters of state and military, but his primary concern is accompanying the Empress wherever she goes, or standing post just outside the door. Only on rare occasions does anyone else fill his role, and that’s just the way he likes it.
Rus (Swapfell Papyrus): He’s a nobleman who used his wealth and free time to pursue a passion in painting. His passion paid off in the form of a bit of notoriety for his work and several offers of patronage from other nobility seeking portraits and frescoes and the like done in his hand. …Or as he sees it, rich people paying him to do what he loves instead of some sort of actual job. As long as he can comfortably afford his paints, he’s happy.
Slate (Horrortale Sans): He’s a stableman at the queen’s castle, looking after the horses and hunting dogs kept there. He isn’t as quick as he used to be, and his memory hasn’t been the same since his head injury, but he was graciously employed elsewhere rather than dismissed and it’s…fine. Well enough, at least. It’s dirty and often thankless work, but he is fond of the animals, and much prefers their company to anyone else.
Papy (Horrortale Papyrus): He’s a medic in service to the knights of the Royal Guard. He actually used to be among their number…sort of…but there were some changes, in his life, and his eye-sight isn’t really what it used to be anyway, and… Well! He spent some time learning from the court physician and got very interested in ways to treat illness and injury. He’s not as skilled and knowledgeable as a full-fledged healer but he’s happily on hand for minor training accidents and sicknesses or injuries in those coming back from patrols. He loves to be able to help!
Ash (Undergloom Sans): A musician who plays his trusty horn for the court during all the feasts and festivals. He’s only one player of many but enough of a talent to be selected for the job and pleased that his music should entertain the king and queen and all their noble guests. It’s not the most glorious of positions but he’s happy enough doing it and lives well for his station.
Yrus (Undergloom Papyrus): Head cook in the castle kitchens, a station he worked up to from the bottom as a lowly kitchen boy. He has a lot of experience making meals for the royal couple and for all the nobles that regularly attend court gatherings and he knows how to give the people what they want. There are several other cooks and kitchen attendants that work with him but it’s his job to make decisions and keep everything running smoothly, which keeps him busy but happily so.
Brick (Horrorfell Sans): He sticks exclusively to the royal court these days, not as a hired sword but as a wealthy and rakish duke of the kingdom. His brother gave him the title and it’d be stupid not to take advantage of the perks—though he does have to earn them. He’s less a hired sword now and more a hired axe, performing the duty of the royal executioner whenever he’s called upon to do so. No need to wear a hood, everyone knows who he is and what he does to enemies of the crown.
King (Horrorfell Papyrus): The king of the castle, in a very literal sense. Some may call him a usurper or a traitor to the crown to have seized the throne for himself without proper claim… and for those people he arranges a meeting between their necks and his brother’s blade. He seized the throne because he’s loyal to the crown and the queen he deposed was wearing it quite poorly. If he could, he would’ve stepped down by now and given way to the true queen, but the people have been through enough upheaval—so he will remain as their king, as long as is necessary.
Merc (Horrorswap Sans): A cursed king who lives an austere, lonely life in a desolate castle by the sea. He fled from his true realm in disgrace and now awaits an end to his curse or his shame—whichever comes first—in the ruins of a fallen kingdom as degraded as he is. He doesn’t expect to be found, or saved from the curse that his own choices wrought upon him, and just tries to bear his fate with the grace expected of him.
Ell (Horrorswap Papyrus): Prince-errant of his kingdom, meant to be ruling his people but instead gallivanting off across the countryside in search of his missing brother. He wants to find him and know he’s well about as much as he doesn’t want to go back and be the ruler of a kingdom, for which he was never properly trained and is wholly unprepared! Maybe in his search and his hardships, he can find the strength and maturity to do what the kingdom needs him to do…but he’s not there yet, and finding his brother is his priority.
Pitch (Horrorswapfell Sans): Every knight in the Royal Guard is hand-picked and trained by him. He held a high office among the guardsmen once, but a severe injury put him out of commission and without his sight, he was no longer fighting fit, as they say. Still, his strength and his skill didn’t abandon him and while he could be a liability on the battlefield, he’s nothing less than a powerful asset when it comes to training the knights up to his own exacting standards. Only the best make it through his gauntlet.
Nemo (Horrorswapfell Papyrus): He walks the wall of the castle at night, standing guard for any threats to the kingdom that might otherwise go unseen. He takes his duty very seriously and refuses to let any night pass without a watchman on duty, even in foul weather or nights of great feasts and festivals. His vigilance has protected the kingdom from many a threat and he feels certain that his job is of much higher importance than any frivolous pastimes he absorbed himself in before.
Sunny (Gastertale Sans): A courtier of…mysterious origin. He’s often at court, making conversation and telling colorful stories to anyone whose ear he can snatch—and he manages to snatch quite a few—but no one can manage to figure out quite where he came from or what he ought to be doing. Mostly, he entertains himself and others with various leisurely pursuits, games, hunts, dances, songs, and as such he’s a well-liked person at court…wherever he came from.
Aster (Gastertale Papyrus): Another man of mystery who appeared at court on the heels of his brother, though far less flamboyantly. He’s obviously a learned man, well-educated and well-spoken, and though he wasn’t as warmly embraced by the courtiers at large, he was eventually welcomed into the king’s confidence as a royal advisor. The backing of the king being what it is, he’s accepted and respected as probably some sort of nobleman, regardless of his unclear origin, and continues to advise the king on matters of state.
Spectr (Transcendtale Sans): A wanderer, uprooted from his life and former kingdom and left to walk the land in search of meaning. Some say his kingdom was destroyed but for a small handful of survivors. Some say he turned to dark magic and sold his soul for the chance. to take revenge on the one who desolated his home. Some say he’s ageless, bones turned to cold iron and chest empty of breath to contain the power he now holds. …They’re all right. But his quest is long over, and all that’s left to do now is wander.
PapAIrus (Transcendtale Papyrus): He’s a proud knight of the kingdom! He may not have been in the Royal Guard when he was tragically cut down before his time, but he did come back from death as a ghostly semblance of himself at the same time everyone else did—and when your Captain is no longer worried that you might get yourself killed in battle because you already did, promotions are in order! So, he now serves his phantom kingdom as a phantom knight, valiantly and eagerly, but of course, taking time every now and then to visit his (mostly) living family member, to keep him from brooding too hard.
Xanth (Ascendswap Sans): It’s…slightly unclear what he does. He’s seemed strange for a time, a bit touched, but the queen seems to hold him in high esteem and never fails to consult him (among others) before any major decisions are made. Sometimes he’ll appear in unusual places with cryptic messages, or look into peoples’ eyes and divine their intentions (should they be ill ones), and for all this, though he holds no specific title, he’s at least informally called the court mystic. There are rumors that his strangeness and that of those closest to him is because he made contact and some sort of bargain with the faefolk…but those are surely just rumors.
Piper (Ascendswap Papyrus): The royal falconer, primary trainer, keeper, and handler of all the hawks and falcons owned by the queen. It wasn’t a job he was born into, but one he sought out of the blue one day, and he earned his way by demonstrating a remarkable affinity for the birds even prior to any training. By now he’s a figure of great respect for the command he has over the flighted beasts, and he happily demonstrates it during the queen’s feasts and king’s hunts.
Carmine (Underfell Fruition Sans): He’s earned his way at court with talent, performing dazzling displays of bullets and other magic for nobles and royals alike. He’s a standout from other such entertainers in that his well of magic never seems to run dry and he can keep showing off his juggling and his light shows and his dancing bullets from sun-up to sun-down without ever tiring. He doesn’t talk much about his life before coming to court, but he’s happy now so it’s just as well.
Tank (Underfell Fruition Papyrus): He was trained from a very young age to be a soldier, a paladin meant to fight in a holy war and raised to believe his greatest purpose was to die on the battlefield and bring glory to the cause. That all…never happened. He was freed from the grip of the zealots and reunited with the brother he hadn’t seen in ages, but then left at odds for what to do now—a warrior with no war to fight. Eventually he becomes apprenticed to a carpenter in town in the hopes of learning a trade to live on, and…he’s starting to be content.
Vi (Swapfell Fruition Sans): Spymaster to the crown, head of a small network of covert informants, assassins, thieves and the rest of their ilk. It was a career he…inherited…but also one he carried out diligently, carefully, and above all, secretly. At least, until his brother married and he left to join him in his new kingdom, where he serves much the same function at court—with the added responsibility of wrangling and occasionally nominally filling in for the crown prince. All according to plan.
Hunter (Swapfell Fruition Papyrus): He was in the same family business as his brother, but when he caught the eye of a visiting monarch and won an invitation to their kingdom, to marry, well… how could he refuse? And when, after an unsuspicious amount of time, his spouse is found dead under mysterious—but not too mysterious—circumstances, and no one from the proper line of succession seems to be coming to take their place… He really has no choice but to go from the prince consort to the crown prince, for the sake of his late spouse’s people. He’s far from a proper or responsible prince, and certainly has some kind of reputation, but he’s pleased enough with how everything’s going.
Kohl (Descendtale Sans): He minds the royal dungeons. It’s not what he started out doing, but somewhere along the way he lost the humor for anything else, and it’s as good a job as any. Not too many strangers make it into the kingdom these days, but plenty have foul intentions and it is something he takes some pride in, keeping watch over those ill-meaning outsiders and making sure they stay put, where they belong. He’s not the kindest of dungeon-keepers, but quite frankly, since when was ‘kindness’ part of that job description?
Bram (Descendtale Papyrus): His brother keeps the dungeon and he keeps the grounds. While a groundskeeper isn’t anything close to what he thought he’d want to be, a lot has happened—to him personally and to the kingdom as a whole—and well, he’s providing a very valuable service with his work, humble though it may be. Anyone with skin would have a horrid time pruning back all the wicked, cursed thorns that keep trying to consume the realm, and unchecked, they could probably run wild in less than a fortnight, where would they all be if he let that happen?

Round 2a.6
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda under the cut:
Kniroun: "OH BOY. A fictional play based on a fictional video game series that takes Arthurian Mythology, shakes it around ‘til it’s a totally unique telling, and turns it into a full-fledged jrpg? Sign me up!!
I think there’s a lot to say about this play, but I’ll try to keep it simple; character-wise, the protagonist (Lancelot) is one character’s absolute dream role that he never knew he needed, being a huge fan of the original game series (understatement), and in the overall story it’s one of the most obvious showcases of how the in-universe theater company has grown, both in terms of acting and in terms of budget!
(Bonus points: some of the names associated with kniroun in-universe heavily imply that the game series is this universe’s Dragon Quest, which is extra points in the submitter’s book.)"
"Knights of Round (Kniroun in Japanese, KotR in English) is an RPG game series created by Hoshii Yoichi and developed by End Links. As of now, there are 9 installments in the series (I to IX), with the 10th game being highly anticipated by many fans. The series has been going on for almost 2 decades. Set in medieval Britannia, you play as Lancelot, a noble knight server under King Arthur, and are usually accompanied by the fairy Gwen. The characters in this game are inspired by characters in the Arthurian mythos.
Specifically, Knights of Round IV: The Stage is a stage adaptation of the fourth Kniroun game (which is chronologically the first game, a la Star Wars). Which, yes, means this is a stageplay of a game in a game. And there's also a real life stage play adaptation of the game (A3!), so there's a stageplay of a stageplay of a game in a game. Crazy. Anyway, actual propaganda time.
Kniroun IV: The Stage (hereafter referred to as Kniroun IV) is the lead play of character Itaru Chigasaki. Now, the focus is also on the events that surround it. In universe, the creator of the Kniroun series is super choosy about adaptations. However, they've decided to allow Mankai Company, an as of yet relatively unknown theater troupe, perform it. Why, you ask? WELL, THE HEAD OF THE PR TEAM IS ITARU'S EX. I WISH I WAS MAKING THIS UP. THEY HAD A DRAMATIC AND TRAUMATIC FALLING-OUT IN HIGH SCHOOL WHICH LEFT ITARU UNABLE TO FORM CLOSE INTERPERSONAL BONDS FOR YEARS. AND THEN HERE HE COMES, THE BASTARD, COMING TO THE THEATER TROUPE THAT ITARU'S PART OF, OFFERING THE CHANCE OF KNIROUN STAGE TO HIM KNOWING FULL WELL THAT ITARU WILL TAKE THE OFFER AND TAKE THE LEAD. YOU'VE HEARD OF CALLING YOUR EX, THIS IS LITERALLY WORSE.
Anyway, Kniroun IV is a super fun fantasy play. You follow Lancelot, and he's accompanied by Gwen. And since you can't see Gwen in the Kniroun games, she's represented by a cute little light. Lancelot has a fruity little camaraderie with Gawain, which kind of falls apart for a while because Merlin is evil and brainwashed King Arthur and Gawain swore himself to King Arthur but Lancelot cares more about the fairies who raised him so they're kind of on opposing sides, and also Gawain's little brother kind of took a hit for Lancelot and now he's dead and Gawain super blames him for that. Anyway, they're fucking TERRIBLE.
There's cool swordfighting scenes, and hot evil wizards, and hot knights, literally what's not to love!!!"

--
Elsewhere, the nightwarden stands in her watchtower, her eyes scanning the map before her for the hundredth time.
Below her, the sound of her soldiers celebrating echoes through the still evening air, slurring vulgar drinking songs and banging on their drums.
It’s grating, their incessant hedonism, but by now, she’s able to tune them out. They may be disgusting and foolish, far beneath a warrior of her standing, but she can tolerate them as long as they remain useful, as long as they remain loyal. The nightwarden doesn’t need enlightened minds, only willing bodies.
In the coming days, the goblin horde she commands will march again, conquering thousands more in Her name. Until then, let them revel in their filth.
The nightwarden is brought out of her musings by a loud, booming thunderclap, and she startles briefly as she looks up at the sky. Rather than a storm, however, she sees a ball of fire plummeting towards the ground. She watches as it passes overhead, narrowing her eyes as she listens to the roaring fire and screams above. Something about the shape is familiar… Almost as if-
Just as soon as her mind begins to wander, she comes back to herself, wrenching her gaze from the sky and down to her map. A heartbeat passes, and she realizes that she’s gripping the parchment tightly enough to tear. She loosens her grip, ever so slightly, and lets out a quiet breath.
She has work to do.
-
Elsewhere still, a pale tiefling stands on a rocky ridge, peering through a telescope and jotting notes in her journal. She has a tiny, relaxed smile on her face, idly sketching the constellations above her. Her mother was right, loath as she is to admit it--they are far, far more beautiful in person than in a textbook.
At the thought of her mother, her hand stills, pencil still pressed to the page. She takes a breath, her shoulders slumping, and shakes her head.
No need to dwell on the past.
A sudden thunderclap catches her attention, and she turns her head towards the east, dark eyes widening and her mouth falling slightly open. Just over the horizon, she sees a ball of fire manifest and tumble through the sky, bigger than any comet she’s ever seen. Her little smile grows into a full-fledged grin, and she nearly breaks the lead on her pencil as she continues her sketching.
As she traces the meteor’s trajectory and mentally calculates its landing site, the breeze picks up, ruffling her blue nightshirt and long, silver hair. A distant smell wafts past her nose, nearly imperceptible were it not for the way it burns her skin. Sulfur.
Abruptly, the tiefling’s smile falls, and her drawing hand freezes. It takes her a long moment to start moving again, turning to pack away her journal and telescope for the night. Her hands shake, near imperceptibly, as she does.
That’s enough for one night, she thinks.
--
And yet elsewhere still, a githyanki knight lands his dragon atop a snowy mountainside. The creature has only just touched the ground when its rider is dismounting, cursing through shuddering breaths as he puts a hand to his side. Even with his armor and years of training his body, he wasn’t able to escape the battle unscathed, left with a sluggishly bleeding gash just under his ribs.
It’s nothing he hasn’t dealt with before. Hells, he’s had far worse injuries before--his instructor had been unforgiving, unyielding, uncaring for those who were anything less than perfect warriors. But today’s failure is just added salt in the wound. He’d been so close, and yet once again the comet had slipped through his grasp.
If the knight were a less determined man, less devoted to his cause, he would have gone mad long ago. As it stands, however, he knows he must persist.
He lets out a long, slow breath and clenches his fist, willing himself to push through the pain. Behind him, the dragon lets out a quiet huff, and he turns his attention to the creature. The dragon’s golden eyes shine in the night, watching him with a solemn understanding. Despite himself, the knight smiles as he lifts a hand and places it on the dragon’s muzzle, the beast leaning into his touch with a gravelly purr.
They both know they have more work to do come morning. There is no time to waste. The knight squares his shoulders, and he sees the dragon mirror his posture.
“Once more, my friend,” he murmurs. “We must return to the search.” The dragon clicks its tongue in agreement. They can only rest when their work is done, even if that day never comes.

Ball-dancing with Morax
dragon emperor morax, a ball, and you.
The royal ball is a time when nobility and commoners come together at the palace in honour of the kind emperor’s birth month. Emperor Morax is a just and fair ruler, beloved by all. Well, all except you.
You are a prophesied Hero sent by a holy oracle to kill Morax for his genocide of the people of Khaenri’ah some centuries ago. The incident had been erased from the memories of all other land-dwellers, giving him the appearance of having a clean slate. It’s your destiny to bring about justice for his actions.
Your plan is to dance with Morax, who often enjoys dancing with his subjects, slip a magical poison into his drink, and let it destroy him. The poison takes three days to act and blends seamlessly into the bloodstream once it has done its duty, so nobody will ever be able to trace it back to this day.
The day of the ball, you are dressed in your finest gown, your face and hair done to perfection as well. There is no need for a concealed weapon in case things go awry, as Morax operates under a strict moral code of never harming the people under his reign. Oh, how that will come back to bite him soon enough.
He looks ravishing tonight, his golden horns decorated with small rivulets of silk and glass beads. His tail is out on full display, the fine gold fur shining with every movement. His toned body is draped in a rich brown silk long pao, his own dragon emblem adorning the fine cloth. His deep amber eyes, accentuated by the red on his lower eyelids, are mellowed into a beaming smile as the festivities begin.
He is the kind of man you would fall in love with; he is the kind of man you would plunge a dagger into.
Emperor Morax dances with some of the men and women brave enough to share the spotlight with him, until finally his intense gaze settles on you invitingly. You step up to the offer with ease, taking his hands - calloused and big - and following his lead.
It’s magical, the way he guides you along the ballroom with all the grace of a Qilin. It feels like gliding, and for a second you wonder what it would be like to soar through the skies with Morax in his pure dragon form.
His touches are gentle, his words equally soft as he regales you with amusing anecdotes from days of yore, soft laughter ringing like temple bells every time you nearly fumble a step.
Soon enough, he suggests going to the balcony from some fresh night air and a drink, and you readily oblige. His hand rests on the small of your back, like that of a lover, and you cannot help but melt ever so slightly at the gesture. Your heart refreezes itself once more as you remind yourself what this dragon had done once upon a forgotten time.
Still, as he pulls you to himself while he tells you how beautiful you look tonight, you decide to indulge.
His kisses are just as tender and gentle as his hands, and they linger on your skin like eventide dewdrops. When your lips connect, it feels like the earth itself has given way and you are free-falling, with Morax being the one to break the fall. Minutes pass before he deems it fit to pull away.
The way he slides his hands along the curve of your waist and settles there; it is almost as though you are someone completely familiar to him. His smile is like stars bursting forth through shadow. You cannot get enough, it’s intoxicating.
His beautiful brown and gold tail flexes and coils around you tenderly, the scales shimmering like quartz. So enamored by his tail are you, that you hardly register the sinister golden gleam that flashes across his irises for a split second.
He leans in close to your ear and whispers, “My dear, you are the seventh incarnation of the Hero I have had to deal with.”
(just a concept, might turn this into a full-fledged fic if people are interested.)

*gently pats bloodmoon*
Question, is bloodmoon your sona? Or do you have another one?
Bloodmoon is my sona yes! I often refer to them as a cracksona (and they were mainly that originally) but over time they've become a full fledged sona jfkhg
I do have another sona but they are pretty much the same character as Bloodmoon - their lore is basically they a shapeshifting fairy dragon and their form changed after nearly a year of hanging out and bonding with Sun and Moon
Tumblr media
It's why Bloodmoon has ears, a tail and little dragon wings on their back gfjkgh they are leftover traits of their previous form

I'd say Devimon is less Lucifer, and more Luke, the guy who works at middle-management on Hell. Digimon does have a full fledged Lucifer tho, as in "even before fully fallen and being a Child stage it gets to oneshot Royal Knights", but still, any of the Seven Great Demon Lords is bad news. Too bad the Adventure continuity wasted the one which had debuted at the time; grumble grumble Imperialdramon Fighter Mode should had debuted at that moment and give Demon a fight.
He's a Devil. Which doesn't necessarily mean Lucifer; In fact, there is also a Lucemon though he doesn't appear in Adventure. Nonetheless, Devimon is a Devil. It's there in his name. It's just that there's a hierarchy of much bigger wicked things beyond him.
It's kind of like how in Dragon Ball, capital-K Kami/capital-G God is a lower-tier deity. Japan uses Christian mythology for aesthetic and coolness the way the West uses Greek and Norse mythology.
Though it is a bit different nonetheless because he's not, like, the actual mythical Devil. He's really more the social construct of the devil manifested into physical form. He's, like... the collective data of humanity's conception of a devil, condensed into a Digitama and given life. He is a wikipedia article that can punch you.

Hello!! First: I think calling your asks a mail box is so cute )::
Secondly: Are.. you a nightwing? Have you ever thought about mixing TDCA with WOF?? I personally see sun and moon as a nightwing sandwing hybrid who was cursed by magic to switch forms between the light and the dark ::3 but I would love to hear your thoughts!! (If you don’t care much for WOF still would love to hear your thoughts on dragon versions of sun and moon !!) - Muffiiee
TYSM!^^ I might change it eventually, as I had it like that because I was playing around with my phone notification sounds skkdjwjeej. I'll probably keep it for a while tho!
Also, the "I wonder who it's from!" in the gif immediately made me think of Blues Clues akdbdbdbdbbb
And no, I'm not a Nightwing. Dw tho! A lot of people get her confused! She actually has a separate WoF design (Rain/Night) that's on my TH!^^ Her regular design is non-wof.
And yes, I have! AKJSJSHSHHS i finally get to talk about them! I am currently working on the WoF!DCA lore (at least for my renditions).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Base by LotusMoon
They're separate dragons in mine, and they're brothers! They're Sand/night hybrids with just a biiit of Skywing heritage (hence Sunny's tail!)
They ended up working for Thorn in the Scorpion Den during the tail end of the war as caretakers, mainly caring for injured and orphaned dragonets.
After the war, they decide to start a daycare/orphanage, considering there were still many displaced dragonets during the war. (Mind you, they're still 17 or so in human years at this time, so probably 6-7 in dragon years and still considered dragonets. Around the same age as the DoD ig idk anymore lol)
I don't have their lore figured out much beyond that though-
(However, I have thought about pulling these two into my Ninjago Multiverse AU. Galaxy, (my sona) is the MC of that au and got dragged to the Pizzaplex to stop the virus via her Portals, and now works there. Sun and Moon have accidentally ended up on two adventures with her (Hunger Games and an MLP infection world). Maybe I'll add a third at some point, and DCA Sun and Moon end up dragons for a while ajdjdhjd)
I also have a few OCs I want to involve in their lore somehow. I was actually writing in that specific Google doc when I got this ask LMAO-
I can give you a few snippets if you want! :D (Some of it not Sun and Moon related specifically, but I might tie the other character's story into theirs later! (If I make full fledged fics, I'll probably post em in a similar style to the WoF books; one in Skyfrost's pov, one in Sun's, one in Moon's, ect. Although, I'm already working on two fnaf fics and many little smaller drabbles so it might be a while before I get anything very long XD)

Who are the Twelve Golden Immortals that Taigong keeps mentioning? Are they his superiors?
The Investiture of the Gods has Taigong Wang as the Taoist currently studying under Yuanshi Tianzun and the Twelve Golden Immortals as the 12 disciples who already graduated under Yuanshi Tianzun before Taigong and are full-fledged Xians by the time of the Investiture (the 1100s BC). Not all of them are particularly relevant characters, be it in the actual Investiture or in Houshin Engi.
1) Taiyi Zhenren
About as minor of a character as any of the 12 in the myth, but easily the one with the most screentime in Houshin Engi. Taiyi's main contribution to Taigong's cause was creating the Soul Jewel, which he put inside Li Shi and Li Jing's stillborn baby, allowing Li Nezha to come to life as a living weapon you know from FGO. After Nezha's suicide, Taiyi also arranged Nezha's revival, so he's who FGO blames for Nezha's unfortunate genderbend. Once Nezha is back to life and learns what his father did to his grave, Nezha goes to beat the shit out of his dad, but Taiyi intervenes, capturing Nezha in the Nine-Dragons Divine Fire Basket so he can give him a proper Taoist education and giving Li Jing the means to fight back if Nezha attacks him again (remember that Li Jing is Bishamonten, so the weapon that Taiyi gave him here is actually the pair of towers Kagetora uses on her 3rd Ascension).
2) Yuding Zhenren
Yang Jian's mentor (doubles as Yang Jian's foster father in Houshin Engi). User of the Xian-Slaying Sword. One of the few that gets to be really cool in Houshin Engi but sort of a complete jobber in the original Investiture.
3) Qingxu Daode Zhenjun
Huang Tianhua's mentor. Contrary to Yuding, he's a jobber in the manga but in the myths, he's the one who gets to beat Wang Tianjun, the second-in-command of the Ten Heavenly Lords.
4) Puxian Zhenren
Boddhisattva Samantabhadra's Xian form before he attained Buddhahood. The guy who gets all the homoerotic ship tease with Taigong in Houshin Engi. By Type-Moon's syncretism laws, he's probably the Buddha form of Kouga Saburou.
5) Daoxing Tianzun
Wei Hu's mentor. Comic relief in Houshin Engi. Otherwise irrelevant. Wei Hu himself is pretty irrelevant in the Investiture, but he's known as Skanda in Hindu/Buddhism and is extremely popular in Japan. You might have heard of him before by his Japanese name Idaten.
6) Guang Chengzi
Before being featured in the Investiture of the Gods, this one already had made an appearance in Shenxian Zhuan, where he is portrayed as just a disguise used by Laozi to instruct the Yellow Emperor. But here he's one of Yuanshi Tianzun's apprentices. Does it make sense for Laozi to be Yuanshi Tianzun's pupil? Not much, they should be even-ranked, even if you don't subscribe to the idea that they're the same individual. Maybe it can work if you write him as the first disciple. That said, his combat record fits his possibly Laozi status, having defeated many named enemies including the leader of the Ten Heavenly Lords.
His main role in both the Investiture and its manga counterpart is saving Prince Yin Jiao from Daji by taking him as his Taoist pupil. After training the prince, he lets Jiao return to the world under the condition that he won't betray his mentor to join the war on his father's side. After some tempting words from the villains, Jiao betrays his mentor to join the war on his father's side, so Taigong kills him (what's the best fight in Houshin Engi) but makes him the god of Jupiter under the divine name Taisui Xingjun. Later FGO released Taisui as the cutest event welfare, causing the tragic prince to finally gain Japanese and English Wikipedia pages.
7) Chi Jingzi
The doting mentor of the other rescued prince, Yin Hong. Background character in Houshin Engi but in the Investiture, he gets a decent amount of screentime, which includes a few arcs of invading enemy territory with a lot of powerful Xian treasures, dropping an important one there, needing to invade again to recover the item he forgot there, and then dropping another, rinse repeat. Also when the prince brothers break the promise of not siding with their father in the war, he has a major emotional breakdown and, covered in tears, burns his dear pupil to ashes.
8) Lingbao Dafashi
Actual pack filler. Doesn't do anything notorious in any myth or adaptation. The best I can offer as trivia is that his weapon in Houshin Engi is the Bell of Fallen Souls, which Taisui uses in FGO.
9) Ju Liusun
Buddha Kakusandha's Xian form before he attained Buddhahood. Background jobber in Houshin Engi, but in the Investiture, he wins a major fight and has his own arc about fighting a traitor apprentice but ultimately forgiving and reaccepting his pupil after learning he betrayed because he married a woman on the enemy side. Said redeemed pupil and his wife eventually die anyway in a fight against the same guy who kills Huang Feihu.
10) Wenshu Guangfa Tianzun
Boddhisattva Manjusri's Xian form before he attained Buddhahood. Background jobber in Houshin Engi, and in the Investiture, while he wins a few major fights, he doesn't really get a personal arc. The closest he gets is a small role in Nezha's backstory. It's weird how little Manjusri gets in terms of stories despite being such a popular Boddhisattva.
11) Huanglong Zhenren
If you thought Lingbao Dafashi's situation was dire, you're not prepared for how pitiful Huanglong is. In the Investiture, he's pretty much only there to get his ass kicked by a guy who is not even relevant enough appear in Houshin Engi. In the Houshin Engi manga, he doesn't get a named Paope. In the Houshin Engi artbook, the author gets his name wrong. Dude can't catch a break.
12) Cihang Zhenren
Boddhisattva Avalokitesvara's Xian form before they attained Buddhahood. The same Guanyin that appears as a main character in Journey to the West. The same Kanzeon from the Iori Buddha statues post. They don't do much here outside of some major fights, but that's fine enough when they have so much presence in Journey to the West.

lucouverse lore 101
a comprehensive post for everything leading up to the events of my long term passion project game Lucou: Tome of the Reborn as well as some fun worldbuilding bits
Tumblr media
Age of Creation:
The realm of gods, Aelasos, is created by the angel of existence, Apatsumi
Apatsumi also creates two pseudo-deity races to inhabit Aelasos: - the Oneh, capable of terraforming and sculpting the lands - the Aelo, capable of creating life
The Oneh and Aelo begin working hand in hand to form the world now known as Otiriel, both races working to develop its geography and ecosystems
Creation Wars
Over time, the Aelo begin to gain a sense of superiority over the Oneh due to their life-giving abilities
They take over a majority of Aelasos, known as the Aelo Kingdom, forcing the Oneh into the outskirts of the land
Unrest brews within the Oneh, inevitably turning into a full revolution against the Aelo Kingdom
The Oneh Revolution eventually becomes a fully fledged war between the Aelo and Oneh, dubbed the Creation Wars.
End of the Wars
Ra Sendu, an archer from the Aelo king Va Retki's army, begins falling for the Oneh leader, a royal named Lucou.
Sendu betrays the Aelo army to join the Oneh and fight alongside her lover.
Va Retki catches wind of this and goes to face Lucou head on.
He dukes it out with Lucou, but Sendu prevents him from dealing the final blow, taking a fatal hit instead.
In her grief, Lucou deals a fatal blow to the Aelo king. She then calls for the Oneh to move on to Otiriel, where they build temples in their respective regions.
Sendu's soul goes on to incubate within a tree in the forests of Otiriel, where she will inevitably be reborn within a host.
150 years following the end of the Wars, an Otirien named Aime-Aran Asturi is born and chosen as Sendu's new host. Sendu's soul would begin its final stages of incubation and awaken within Aime in 14 years.
Biology
Within the worlds of Otiriel, there are a few different species with various races.
Angels are dragon-like omniscient beings that are in charge of life, death, time, and fate. They control the universe and ensure everything follows the strict rules of fate.
Aelo, as described above, are pseudo-deities that are capable of creating life. They tend to physically look more like anthropomorphic animals, which resulted in much of the life on Otiriel resembling the Aelo themselves.
Oneh, also described above, are the other species created by Apatsumi, capable of terraforming. Unlike the Aelo, they can be easily identified by race and region:
Sculptors are the Oneh of the Mountains. They're the ones responsible for molding and chiselling mountain ranges on Otiriel.
Gardeners are the Oneh who breathe life and vegetation into Otiriel's forests and plains, being responsible for planting and tending to the foliage.
Divers are amphibious Oneh that create the world's bodies of water.
Cavers are the Oneh responsible for digging the various caverns in Otiriel and creating its gemstones.
Royals are capable of all forms of terraforming.
Otiriens are the main dominant species of Otiriel, following the end of the Creation Wars and the Oneh's move to Otiriel. They typically have greenish skin and deer-like noses as well as horns that vary depending on their region, i.e. forest-dwellers having more antler-like horns or mountain-dweller having ram-like horns. Mixed Otiriens (like Aime) develop horns with attributes from both parents.
Patsun are just opossums. They were created by the Aelo in Apatsumi's image to be the most perfect little guys.
Reincarnation
When a (typically Aelo) soul is to be reincarnated, it first enters a state called incubation where it will reside within a non-sentient life form (usually a tree) until it has recovered from any damage caused at death. Once it is finished incubating, it will find a host to reside in. Incarnate hosts may not always be Otiriens, they are just more likely due to being the dominant race on Otiriel.
In the event a non-Aelo soul is to be saved, an Aelo must draw a Rebirth Sigil to mark them for rebirth. If one attempts to save a soul that is doomed by fate, they will feel Apatsumi's wrath as the soul exits incubation.

Races and World concept:
Race:
There were two human races in this world: full-fledged Humans and Therians.
Therians were part human and part animal—or even mythological creatures. They could show or hide their animal features, such as ears, tails, wings, and claws, and they could fully transform into their animal forms. These traits were passed down from their parents. Although ordinary Therians were more common, there was always a chance that a child might not inherit the genes, especially if one of the parents was human.
Mythological Therians, like Dragons, Griffins, Unicorns, Angels, and Demons, were considered extremely rare and even endangered. Most of them possessed special powers or abilities that set them apart from ordinary Therians. The rarity of these creatures was due to their genes being extremely difficult to pass down to their offspring.
World:
A long time ago, humans and Therians lived in separate regions. Racism and human greed led to a race war 12 years ago in Neoterra City, resulting in many deaths. Over time, tensions cooled, and they began to mix and live together in the same regions. Although the world is much more stable now, the previous war caused so much damage that racism still persists.
Even though Therians live among humans now, some still harbor stereotypes and despise each other. Humans mostly look down on Therians for not being purely human. Mixed-race individuals are judged as a threat because humans always wanted to rule the world. There is a hint of jealousy, and some religions have been twisted to believe that shapeshifters were half-demons. Because of this, most Therians tend to hide their animal features and powers to avoid being judged or mistreated, though some of them didn't care and chose not to disguise themselves.
However, the lack of use of their powers leads to an inability to reach their full potential or even control them. The more often they use their powers, the better their control over them becomes.
