Mulan AU where she does get caught by the other fresh recruits while she's bathing but Mushu helps her spin it like the lake is cursed by an evil lizard demon and will turn men into women if they stay in it for too long.

From there it's not actually difficult to get the other soldiers onboard with covering up the fact that poor Ping took one for the team and got afflicted by the vagina curse, especially since it would have been all of them if they hadn't gotten the warning ahead of time. So they agree to help him cover it up, because obviously the army's not going to understand.

Shang is... tentatively glad that the men are bonding and getting along, even if they continue to be deeply weird about it.

i think the near-extinction of people making fun, deep and/or unique interactive text-based browser games, projects and stories is catastrophic to the internet. i'm talking pre-itch.io era, nothing against it.

there are a lot of fun ones listed here and here but for the most part, they were made years ago and are now a dying breed. i get why. there's no money in it. factoring in the cost of web hosting and servers, it probably costs money. it's just sad that it's a dying art form.

anyway, here's some of my favorite browser-based interactive projects and games, if you're into that kind of thing. 90% of them are on the lists that i linked above.

Thinking of an AU where Alex gets imprisoned by the Olympian Gods (bar Aphrodite) for some reason (framed, maybe?) and MC has to go through her own version of God Games from Epic the Musical to convince the gods to free them.

Merlin AU where Morgana and Merlin each learn about each other's magic and become a magical crime-fighting duo who are rushing around trying to keep Camelot, its people, and the Royal Pain in the Arses safe. Everybody thinks there's something going on between them, because everybody keeps finding them in dark corners with their heads together and whispering to each other. Uther was almost on the warpath until Morgana calmed him. Nobody knows how. Only Morgana knows. All anybody knows is the aftermath where Uther complimented Gaius on having a hard working apperentice, and was wrapped around Morgana's finger for a week. Merlin was in awe. Morgana was smug. And Arthur? He isn't jealous. Why should he be jealous? He's just extremely annoyed Morgana is distracting his manservant from his duties just when Merlin was starting to actually shape up (though not by much). Morgana has Guinevere! She doesn't need Merlin! He's the Prince's Manservant (aka, Arthur's manservant) not Morgana's!
