I think the funniest thing about Drv3 is that I can't imagine them being a functional class group. Like at least the bad seeds in Sdr2 and THH have a heart of gold, or are tolerable at best. But DRV3's cast feels like they're one second away from a full on brawl.

DRV3 meets SDR2
A drabble for that idea where the DRV3 cast also went through a simulation.
.·:*¨ ✘♚✘ ¨*:·.
He’s been speculated, many times, if he really was the Ultimate Liar and not the Ultimate Supreme Leader with how often his mouth spews bullshit.
But everything was a lie, so what does it matter anymore?
There’s the strange way he had to look at this man, with dark hair cropped under the cheap, shitty lighting that fills this facility, claiming to have all the talents under the sun, and simply trust that their talents weren’t real.
“But, you have them now.” He stated, again in this monotone voice that grated his ears. He sounded so bored while everyone else's world crashed around him like the predictable little pawns they were not that he was faring that much better.
“You sure seem pretty nonchalant about this! I sure thought you’d be more touchy-feely, Mr. Kamukura, sir.”
Heterochromatic eyes immediately sharpened toward him. He heard the way his classmates whisper, how loudly they go, “Kamukura? That guy’s name is Hajime Hinata, isn’t it?”, but he ignored it all. Despite his sly tone, he knew his face is only dead serious. He heard all about this man in passing, from the whispers of other Remnants and snooping into places he got into with more ease than he probably should’ve. There was no use playing pretend with this man. He was a cold, unfeeling robot- full offense Kiibo- but a masterful genius who contributed to the Tragedy.
“I… apologize.” Kamukura’s tone turned more contemplative, but still undeniably monotone. He even had the audacity to nod at him, as if acknowledging what he said, but he knew he’s not even going to attempt to address it. “I harbour empathy for you all, despite how I express it.”
That was the worst lie he ever heard, but the man had no tells suggesting it, or perhaps he will never be able to recover the ability to understand a person from their body language. So what’s the point then? None of this was going to be worthwhile. Might as well tune it out. It's all white noise, until-
“I was once a talentless nobody, and I gained every talent at once.”
“How… is that possible?” Shuichi’s voice chimed in, and Kokichi started. The detective hadn’t made a single sound since everyone came in.
“Human experimentation.”
Silence.
“I have no desire to discuss it. I hardly remember it, regardless. The fact of the matter is, I was talentless, a Reserve Course student of Hope’s Peak, and well… I obtained a talent. Talents.”
He looked around the room. “You would be going through an experience. The inverse of my situation applies to you, so I cannot say much. The talents you had in the game were false, but that does not mean no portion of it was real. I know some of you have already recovered some of your past memories.
Being talentless does not mean useless. This I swear to you.”
“Easy for you to say! You have every talent at your disposal! We lost the one thing that makes us-!”
“‘-who you are.’” Kamukura finished. “Predictable. Bor-.” A pause.
Suddenly, his eyebrows furrowed and a scowl painted his features. This was Hajime. “I’m sorry about him, he’s trying. Look, just take it from me, even when I was talentless I was probably the most sane and helpful out of all the damn Ultimates in my killing game. Hope’s Peak were monsters for making us think that not being labeled as Ultimates suddenly meant you were useless. They forced society to care about a select few individuals and look where it got us.”
“Your talents didn’t make you who you are. You made your way through because of everything, and the talents you had didn’t really help much in the end, did they? Because they sure as hell didn’t help me.”

PRESSURE YESS!! Oh I'd *love* to see that!! Kaede would totally own a wall dweller! I can imagine Shuichi reading all the documents and starting a chart like "WHAT DOES IT MEAN?? WHAT HAPPENED"
Tumblr media
Him figuring out what happened at Urbanshade BEFORE buying Sebastian's document^^^
And PLEASE talk about your OCS!!! I love hearing about them- the lore is always so fun to hear about :D tell me tell meee/nf
So I actually have two drv3 x Pressure AUs !! One is the oneshot AU, which I plan to write, and the other is the Pressure Time Loop. Shuichi takes Sebastian's place as Kokichi goes through every run over...and over...and over... But I could totally see Shuichi getting crazy invested in all the documents XD He's off to the side going "hmm..." while Kokichi is flashbanging Sebastian and Eyefestation every chance he gets. Kaede is having a silent panic attack the whole time and trying to make sure the boys don't get themselves killed. She was also 100% the first one to walk into a locker full of POVM (个_个) LOL
and oh I WILL talk about them!! LUNARLEONARDO ART REVEAL LETS GO BABY
Keep in mind before proceeding that some sensitive subjects might be covered here :{
Since their stories are so extensive and Tumblr might legitimately explode if I go into as much detail as I would've, I'll keep their stories as brief as I can. Starting with my favorite,
MONTSERRAT!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(a lot of these are drawn on flipaclip so forgive me)
Mont, as you can probably assume, is an Undertale OC. They originally came from my avid Handplates AU obsession, so they were a Handplates OC (个_个) BUT! I have since deviated from that AU and now their AU has their own thing going on, even if there are still some similarities QwQ
The three were born as brothers, Sans and Mont being created as twins (hence why they look very similar. also papyrus i just hard to draw but shh) Of course, Gaster is their dad, except he is just.. straight up evil. There's no redeeming this guy sorry Gaster fans (me. I am the Gaster fan. :( funney void guy). Sans and Papyrus were often kept separate from Mont, mostly since they were a menace even while they were being experimented on lol. And because of this and the need to keep Mont in heavier security, the funny skeleton guys we know and love both escaped the lab together. These kids didnt think twice about taking Mont with them, mostly since they just assumed that they could find someone strong enough to defeat Gaster to save them afterwards. :")
Those two's escape scared the SHIT out of Gaster. Now all these people were gonna know that he was experimenting on children to try and make super soldiers to blow up the barrier with void power and wipe out humanity !! And he couldn't have that happen!! He tried his best to do damage control, but Snowdin (where the skelebros showed up after escaping the lab), kind of.. rioted?? Like imagine an angry mob with pitchforks and fire. That kind of riot. That drove Gaster all the way to the CORE, and down down down he went. With Gaster being erased from existence, so was his lab and his followers.
...of course, since you cannot truly erase anything-- not as a monster, at least-- Gaster and that lab were cast into the void. And thus... So was Mont.
Mont, of course, was confused. They were like 11 years old when this happened, and the only knowledge they had on anything was what they had learned from the books they snuck behind Gaster's back. They wandered the lab over and over, eventually coming to realize that wow, they really were alone. Everybody left. There was no way out for them. These negative emotions were too much for them to bear as the years went by, those feelings continued to grow and grow. And eventually, the void releases them from those emotions. At a price, of course. Mont called it the "Voidserpent"; a long, snake-like creature made of pure negativity (yes i was deep into the sans auverse) that kind of wanted to kill Mont ?? I mean when you have suicidal thoughts and all of your negative thoughts and stuff manifest as a Creature. It still wants itself dead. And itself is you, so um. mont spent a loooong long time running for their life in that lab (´;ω;`) just running in circles
There is Kind Of a happy ending though! This brings us to my sweetheart Cleudo! :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(i dont have much art of her ;_; cluedo im sorry)
Cleudo works as an assistant scientist under Alphys, researching primarily the void. Eventually, their research led them to find some of the weaker spots in their world, where essence of the void could be found and studied. One of those spots is deep within the forest of Snowdin, which is where she'd often be. One day, she decided to try and access the void. Probably not the wisest decision on Cleudo's part, but she's a liiittle impulsive xD
It was because of this decision though that she gave Mont the gateway they needed. They pretty much noclipped out of the floor, scaring the everloving shit out of themself AND Cleudo. By now they're 22, so they've spent a reeeally long time in that lab. Cleudo, who has NO idea what she just witnessed, decides to do the one thing she can do: Take this skeleton to Alphys' lab and make sure they're not radioactive or something. And also call Sans and Papyrus, the only skeletons in the underground.
Overtime Mont becomes ..kind of... accustomed to life. I'm not going to get into their AUs or Everything Stays (a roleplay between me and my gf with Mont and her oc) since we'd be here forever, but as for Mont in their "canon" timeline, they avoid the human like wildfire. In the True Pacifist route, I'd imagine you have the option to fight them if you go way out of your way. It'd just be something for fun, because Mont is very fun! They're very fun and silly and doesn't take much very seriously. They looove floating, they do it a LOT, and they do have a good handle on blue magic and teleportation. However their experience with physical attacks is.. lacking, and they're very much a "one hit kill" kind of monster. They can take a pretty hard punch, but if their HP drops any amount, they're screwed. They make up for this in evasiveness though, and they make use of their surroundings to use as a weapon. They are very much the kind of person to hit somebody with a table in a fight.
The last thing I wanna mention is that pink hat. The first ever story they appeared in was a roleplay called Fallen Deep, where they wore that hat. In Fallen Deep, they did some veerrry bad things, collapsing half the multiverse to try to wipe out every AU with a Gaster variant (they were, and are still kind of, very op LOL). That hat represents Fallen Deep Mont, and thus, what they did. While the hat is a building brick of their design, it's not something Mont often has in different AUs due to what it's connected to. rest in peace fallen deep mont you would've loved commentary youtubers
QUINN
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Quinn is a funky little guy. His story is a lot simpler, so hopefully this section will be shorter XD
Quinn is the eldest son to Riley Anne, a popular seamstress. She and Quinn's father divorced when they agreed that they had different goals in life-- one wanted to persue parenthood while the other just wanted to stay on that workforce grind. Quinn's father would financially assist Riley Anne as she raised their children, since she couldn't do as much work as she used to being a single mom.
When Yu was very little, she was diagnosed with an incurable illness. Dont ask me what illness because i dont know💕 but the point is that there is a very, very small chance that Yu will make it beyond double digits. Both Riley Anne and Quinn loved Yu very very much, but unfortunately, when she was 8 and Quinn was 11, Yu passed away. Quinn was right next to her in the hospital when she went, so she at least went feeling as safe and loved as possible. When this happened, Riley Anne was out getting food, unaware of her daughter's rapidly declining condition. And when she got back, she found Quinn holding Yu's hand, kind of just... frozen. It's not every day you watch someone die before your very eyes, especially not when you're as young as Quinn was. Seeing this, something in Riley Anne just... snapped. Her daughter couldn't be gone yet, the doctors said they had at least a few more years together. What happened? She was only gone for no less than a few hours.
And it hit her in that moment. Quinn must have murdered her daughter.
Of course, Quinn never did such a thing. But Riley Anne needed some reason to explain why she wasn't there with her daughter when she passed. And so Riley Anne took Quinn home. And things got... bad.
For two weeks, it was an extremely unstable household. I won't go into detail, but it was to a point that Quinn was too afraid to leave his room. He took to his father's religion for comfort, praying every day to the moon to protect his sister, wherever she was, and to bring his mother down from whatever delusional break she was having. (Note: this is not based on any real life religion, god or faith ^^")
One day, a particularly bad fight broke out. It was the usual "you killed your sister"/"what are you even talking about" argument, when things got violent. Riley Anne grabbed a knife, and Quinn, knowing perfectly well he was in danger, booked it for the front door. The neighbors intervened when they heard screaming in the front lawn, and although they stopped Riley Anne from murdering her son, he was in really bad shape. He had been stabbed over like, what, ten times ? I forget the exact number, but he almost died. And as the ambulance and police arrived, the moon god stayed true to her word-- her promise to protect those who dedicated their faith to her-- and Quinn survived. However, because of the severity of the wounds, Quinn was left with the inability to express or even feel most of his emotions. That's why is his eyes are white like that, and why he has such a flat expression. He physically cannot express anything else 。:゚(;´∩`;)゚Riley Anne was carted off to a psych ward, so shes getting the help she needs.
Little 11 year old Quinn, was now all alone. This ones gonna be hard to explain it youve been thinking about this from a standard sociental standpoint, but basically Quinn's father buys Quinn a mansion for him to live in, which is fairly deep in the woods. It is connected to a local town though, where a lot of the adults there help Quinn out. They give him some easy jobs around town and sometimes they stop by his house to make sure he isnt like. Yknow. Starving to death. Quinn also has a lot of domesticated animals that keep him company and also make sure he is not Starving To Death. Now might be a good time to mention that I created Quinn as a Rise of the TMNT OC and he is friends with Leo who makes fun of him for being an orphan and yeah im gonna stop there
WORLD ENDER
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
oh boy okay this one
So this is World Ender, once known as Zelyx (the one in the tv). Zelyx was always powerful, even in their home universe. And one day, they simply just... got bored. Their home universe was an awful place to be, unjust to those who were not already at the top of the societal ladder. So Zelyx's solution? BLOW IT UP!!!
After destroying their home world, Zelyx travelled from universe to universe, looking for something that would entertain them. And eventually, they came to realize that it was ending these worlds that brought them the most joy. So they took on the name and form of "World Ender". Their whole thing is basically just going from universe to universe and ending worlds with life on them >_> they're kind of an asshole
Now as you might have noticed, Shuichi is in that second picture. Well! That is from an AU called, wouldn't you know it, World Ender/Alternative. However I won't be getting into that here, since it's not directly part of World Ender's story. It's more of a Shuichi AU tbh :p
SOMBRE
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It'd be a crime not to mention my DAUGHTER. This is Sombre! It'd take FOREVER to explain what's up with her so I'll keep it simple. Sombre is a creature called a sokochou, which is something a funky little lab deep in the woods nearby realllly wants. This is "GreenFirest Lab", who further science via unethical experimentation. basically it's because of them that legit furries exist in this universe so you can imagine how humanity reacted to that. Anyhow, Sombre, also called "GFLS-53", took on the role as the "Hound", totally robbing this one guy of his job. sorry 27 xd
The Hound is a role in the lab created to prevent containment breaches and mostly to stop the less stable and/or pissed off ones from starting a massacre. Whenever a subject escapes their cell, it's Sombre's job to take them back and/or fight them into submission. yeah so you'll never guess what sombre does after some scientists fuck up their experiment with her LMAO
Sombre is taken over by what we call "Voltage", and it does the exact massacre it was her job to stop. Many subjects die, almost all the scientists die as other subjects break out and kill them. There's a lot of death on this fateful night :( And Sombre's friends, Cybro, Stargazer, 27, and arguably Ender and VD, are rightfully confused and afraid of her actions. They take to helping subjects evacuate, escaping into the forest. 27 tries his best to bring her down, and hes almost killed. He wouldve been killed if not for his bf VD. Ender and Stargazer are helping people evacuate. It's only when Cybro, a robot dog with the soul of the lab's founder's son, asks Sombre to kill him; to finally relieve him from his duty. Sombre only comes back to herself after killing Cybro, which she is Extremely Devastated about. also 27 set the entire building on fire so it's probably time to run lol. anyways Sombre goes home a changed woman and she reunites with her sister and girlfriend and yay!! everyone is happy! except for 27 who will forever be mad at sombre for taking his job

HAKURA SAINOU & KUROKA KASHIN
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okay so these are my two Danganronpa OCs!! This is Hakura and Kuroka :3 the girlfriends ever
Hakura is the Ultimate Profiler. I watched a little too much Criminal Minds and the brain worms got me xD. meanwhile Kuroka is the Ultimate Investigator! Sadly Kuroka doesnt have much to her yet :( actually neither of them have that much. But they do work together to solve crimes and stuff and they are sooo in love . The reason they don't have that much is because I've been so focused on my fics I haven't though much about my OCs ;_; BUUUT they are in my heart trust
Those are pretty much all the main ones I could think of :p If you've read this far. Why and how . But also thank you !!! I hope my funky little guys entertained you at least a little bit :3 I had to pull out my computer to finish this post and let me tell you my wrist huurrrtts. This took me like 3 hours to do LMFAO
I am nervous to be posting this QwQ I could say a LOT more about them, like Mont's AU business, the other characters within Sombre's story, World Alternative... but this post is getting rlly long and I need to cook dinner xD Thank you for giving me the opportunity to go absolutely insane for a bit!! I really appreciate it I love talking about the funney little guys in my brain :3

My thoughts on the Hundred Line demo
First, and most important question: Did I enjoy it? My answer is, YES!!! ABSOLUTELY YES!!!! I am beyond hooked. This game's got its claws in me. I've got theories cookin', man!
And yes, the EN dub is fine. In fact, I'm very excited to hear more from it!
Under the readmore are further details about the demo and my thoughts on them. Please note that this contains major demo spoilers, and I ask that if you comment, you avoid dropping any information about leaks. Thank you for reading!
First, let's talk presentation- encompassing art style, music, and engine quirks.
I think the presentation is superb. The visual novel engine carries over some quirks from Danganronpa V3 such as having the protagonist's expression on display when they're speaking, which was one of the best things about that game and Rain Code. Not only that, but they allow movement to the side and use interesting angles to display different features of each room, while billboarding the sprites around. That's so freaking cool, and it gives the illusion of having the characters in the room around you as you're looking around, not looking like paper dolls. The art style is predictably a little more grey and mechanical than the colorful psycho-pop DR1 and DR2 and psycho-cool DRV3 and cyberpunky Rain Code. I mean, they're in an army base. That's to be expected. I think it does well to set the tone for the game.
The more colorful floors felt a bit lacking in some respects, and I disliked the sidescrolling. It didn't work for Rain Code either, and I'm curious as to why they went with this format instead of the usual DR Open World wandering. Maybe otherwise you can get stuck between the rooftop micro-habs? Or maybe there will be a horror scene later on which will require you to walk through the halls while bodies line the floor?
The music is very similar to Danganronpa, but I can't complain. DR music is almost 100% bangers, and the battle theme is original. And also a banger. TEMPO TEMPO TEMPO TEMPO-
Voice Acting
This may be controversial of me, but I like it. (Same guy who loved Triangle Strategy's dub, btw.) First, we do have some big names in here from games like Metaphor ReFantazio and various Fangans. And yes, I think of the ones we've seen, they're really good! I'd say every issue I had with the voice acting was just caused by poor voice direction. But I'm not going to let it hamper my enjoyment of the game, no matter how many assholes yell at me on stream about it. Shoutout in particular to Sirei's voice! It sounded just like an army sergeant with a little bit of Cave Johnson thrown in, and the lines were read with so much pomp and personality! Also shoutout to Darumi, Takemaru, and Hiruko, who we saw a lot of in the demo, and whose performances were all full of personality. I kept comparing Darumi to Jinx from League of Legends (not Arcane- important distinction). It helps tremendously that the localization was written so buttery smooth that every VA could take it in stride.
Oh yeah, localization. It's 10/10. That's it.
Characters
I've been following the marketing since the beginning, so I've already come to adore this cast. Everyone's a standout in their own way, but some of them defied my expectations in interesting ways.
Eito is supposedly a sickly boy who gave me Major Sus Vibes on account of his weapon being a scythe and that one CG with Takumi- you know the one. People in my circle are calling it Komahina 2 But They Actually Do It This Time. Oh god. Anyway, Eito standing up and calling out Sirei, and proving to be unpopular enough with Hiruko in the mix? I didn't expect him to be the first one to get into interpersonal drama! He seems so reasonable and so nice, but I know that facade is going to be crushed later on- I strongly suspect he'll develop some kind of one-sided obsession with either Takumi, or based on his moveset, justice and group unity, and cull anyone who poses a threat to those things. Which is to say, he's my favorite and I hope Takumi keeps interacting with him!
Hiruko was long thought of as the group's first obstacle to achieving any level of unity, and I'm definitely seeing that here with the way she threatens the others and treats them as worthless unless they're fighting with her. Girl, you may be strong, but you have 0 range- you'd get swarmed by the real baddies if you didn't have the rest of us with you! I don't see any attempt at humor with her yet- which is good, I'd hate to have that illusion shattered so early.
Darumi and Takemaru, as Takumi's first allies, are wonderful! We saw a lot of Takemaru's personality on display- he's weird, but honorable. Same with Darumi. She talks a lot of trash and acts pretty scary, but she's not just a character made to mimic a Danganronpa fan. She seems fun- and moreso, that she cares about the others enough to help them out in a pinch like with Eito's rescue.
If there are two members of the cast that may get annoying, Gaku is one and Shouma is another. WRT Gaku, this is just my own past talking but I hate characters that play Oppression Olympics to win. That being said, they asked us not to write him off as he's very kind when he locks in. As for Shouma, I just hate characters who have 1 line of dialogue followed by 2 lines of self-deprecation. But I trust the team's character writing. I trust they'll do both of them justice.
As for characters that just suck, it is so much fun watching Ima suck. Like, please stop making your sister so uncomfortable, dude, but depending on how far you go, we'll be cheering even louder when Kako hits you with a brick. (Also, not the worst guy I've ever seen in a Danganronpalike. That one goes to a certain sexist Italian Catholic.)
Anyway, I look forward to seeing more of these guys.
Gameplay
It would help if there were a clearer aggro mechanic. I don't fully remember which character had a taunt move in the first place, but it would help if I knew anyway. Otherwise, I find the gameplay super interesting, with lots of opportunity for potential strategies. Paying attention to the movement, range, attack, armor, AOE capability, etc.. of each character will be very fun in a game that's mostly mooks with one big tough boss at the end. AOE characters aren't the best in games like Fire Emblem, you know? So to be able to wipe out enemies quickly feels powerful, a bit like Unicorn Overlord.
I still feel bad about having to kill the scrunklies for enemy reasons, but they revive anyway.... won't be that bad, right? Right?
That "Finishing Blow" sequence? THAT WAS FUCKING CRAZY!!! I didn't think this game would have PVP, but GOD DAMN!!! (Can't wait for the inevitable "Shouma, you're behind on EXP, go kill the commander" moment.)
Anyway, can't wait to play Tsubasa and hit people with my car. I know we have some ideas of movesets for characters that weren't in the demo like Yugamu and Kurara, but... Tsubasa Hit and Run. Please.
I wonder what the school stats will be used for.
Personally, I'm not a big fan of board game mechanics... I was actually hoping for some brassy-sounding penis music to fit the funny looking character sprites. Didn't get that...
And most importantly, plot!
As a fan of Danganronpa, Akudama Drive, Rain Code, Zero Escape, and AI The Somnium Files, I like to think that I know enough about both Kodaka and Uchikoshi to know what the markers and cinchers are.
In three words, I am hooked.
This plot so far is very Kodaka, but I see some Uchikoshi on the horizon and sprinkled here and there, especially with the potential way they might handle 100 endings. Identity issues are very Uchikoshi, for instance, and I'm wondering if Takumi switched bodies with the ghost boy somehow.
We had our Danganronpa divergence with the complete disappearance of Sirei and his subsequent death at the end of Day 7. Who knows WHERE the plot will go from here, now that the students are essentially self-governing? And we have some interpersonal drama in there with Hiruko vs everyone who won't fight and Eito vs. Hiruko.
And what is "Cryptoglobin", the key word that appeared at the end of the most recent trailer? I know what Hemoglobin is- it's the protein that carries oxygen on your red blood cells- so... what does that mean here?
All I know is that Eito is sus. He's gonna have a serial killer arc. He's gonna somehow commit worse crimes than everyone else in the school and still do absolutely nothing wrong.
Anyway, some theories based on what we've seen:
Every character has been ripped out of their own time somehow. Takumi is from a different time period than everyone else, which is why some characters feel so old-fashioned and why almost everyone is completely disconnected from everyone else. It's because they didn't exist then- or only existed as adults.
The ghost boy is the "heart" of the Undying Flames. They appear to have a consciousness, and that consciousness wants to protect the school from the Invaders, hence why it tries to keep them out.
The flames burn through spacetime. This would explain how Takumi could see a boy he'd never met as well as why the flames only incinerate organic matter- rock doesn't deteriorate as fast as a plant, so if you sped up time around a plant, it would wither away faster than a rock would.
Rather disorganized, but those are my thoughts on the demo! I hope you enjoy!

02/26/2025 “Fiction and Feast” Progress Update:
Couldn’t tell ya exactly how many words I edited today ‘cause I wasn’t keeping track but docs says I have 400 left to go, so at least 1500. Though of course I yappity yap yapped about motorcycles, lizards, lighthouses, and copy editors, so probably more got thrown in there… What do any of those things have to do with each other? Probably fucking nothing lol
We’re sitting at a comfortable 14.1K for the first chapter, so as long as I don’t yap MORE (likely), 14.5K is the hesitantly anticipated release word count. If I can get another burst done tomorrow, then perhaps it will be ready to be beta’d by then!! And then I can shove this thing away until I need another break from the phantom thief au. I need a break from the break.
I mentioned this in another post, but I stayed home from work again, which I fucking hate. It’s one of those things where you’re in pain, can’t really do much to alleviate it, and know that a pile of more shit is waiting for you when you go back to work.
Either way, I did try to enjoy the time I had. I sat outside for a lot of it, listening to the frogs and the rain in my Monokuma jacket (oof look at this nerd go). I read some random fics I’m happy to have clicked on, edited like a madman, and had a lengthy text discussion with my sister about the Caged Child Song weirdly enough (we both agreed Kokichi should have been belting that shit just to piss Kiyo off.)
Also, if you’re reading this, dear other sister who insinuated you had found my tumblr, get back here and post your other art with the DRV3 cast. It’s adorable and I wanna shamelessly boast that it’s MY little sister who made it 🤣🤣
Anyway, no phantom thief au today. But she’ll be rearing back up soon. I’m ready ready ready to go full-speed with chapter 5. A break was, in fact, a great way to ignite some more motivation.
Hope you all have a lovely night! I did not in fact buy rainbow goldfish crackers (shame on me) so if you also did not get a treat, here’s our chance to make it up tomorrow TWO-FOLD.

I personally think Kaede is this most overrated character in DR. By a mile. For a character who only appeared in one chapter, she made a big impact on both the “true” protagonist of V3 as well as the fandom
I actually liked her at first. But the more I played, the more she started to get on my nerves.
It was incredibly stupid if her to plan a murder against the mastermind when there was no evidence that there was even a mastermind in the first place and it was her fault Rantaro died, even though she didn’t directly kill him.
Hope you get my opinion on her
I understand what you mean, even if I don't share your opinion.
(SPOILERS FOR DRV3 BELOW, OF COURSE)
It's an entirely logical leap for Kaede to assume that someone(s?) HAD to be behind the animatronic bears insisting they murder each other, of course. And I honestly kinda (stupidly) admire how she was willing to throw her hat over the wall on the matter of violently attacking the mastermind. The real problem is that... yeah, you're not wrong about dumb her overall plan was. Given how much was still uncertain about where they were and what was going on, it seems like making the leap to "anyone who can open this room MUST BE the mastermind" is a bridge too far, y'know? Even the assumption that the mastermind has to be one of the 16 students present is a large leap! At least I can attribute these assumptions to A) Kaede's established characterization as someone who's really aggressively gung-ho about her own plans/goals, even when it's to the detriment of herself and others, plus B) Kaede's complete blind faith in Shuichi, who came up both those highly flawed hypotheses. Hormones make you do stupid things sometimes, eh?
On the matter of how you feel Rantaro's death is her fault, I'm not sure whether I can agree with that. Are you assuming that if Kaede had never set up her rolling-ball trap, Rantaro would've been allowed to explore the behind-the-scenes areas totally unimpeded? That feels unlikely to me. Perhaps there'd be a convenient way to prevent this from being an issue, like shutting off his access to the hidden door. But I think he'd probably retain his access only to become trapped/captured and then murdered by Tsumugi in a way that could be believably pinned on somebody in the cast, regardless of whether it was Kaede in the Library with the Shot-Put ball. Doing this would keep any behind-the-scenes areas that are not yet ready for exposure (at least not this early in the show) neatly under wraps. I also think Tsumugi would want to move fast to prevent last game's "winner" from getting very far a second time, given that he's A) clearly a threat, and B) killing him early will provide good shock value for her audience.
Ultimately, I've probably posted or reblogged enough posts over the years explaining all the ways/reasons I love Kaede as a character. I love her flaws and how distinct they are from the now-standard "I'm just a regular guy full of self-doubt and low self-esteem" issues of our numerous boy protags. And even without any point of comparison, I love me a character who's determined in the face of certain doom, extremely obvious about her crush, doesn't take any shit, and is very possibly autistic. I definitely still feel the protagonist-swap twist would've been far more effective if they'd put Shuichi in her role and flipped the script so that we take her over when he dies. If we started off as a boy struggling with his self-esteem and somehow wound up with gung-ho autistic heroine who charges in before she even thinks? That'd be a TOTAL inversion of my expectations.

Hey mod. Sorry if you've been asked this before, but who are your top 5 favorite characters from all the games? Including the anothers
//Don't worry about it.
//For DR1, it's Taka, Mondo, Kyoko, Mukuro and Chihiro. Chihiro has been one of my favs for a long time (I wrote an entire fanfic on him so that much is obvious) and through the combination of writing her in Survivor, fixing what wrongs DR3 did to her, and also having read DR:IF, Mukuro very quickly gained best girl status for that game. Mondo and Taka are also ridiculously underrated characters, Mondo especially, and I really wish they got more love and attention.
//DR2, which is my favorite cast, my top 5 are Fuyuhiko, Hajime, Mikan, Mahiru and Gundham. Fuyuhiko is obvious, he's a very well-written character, Hajime is a great protagonist with a really interesting backstory, Mikan in the game is a little weird but she's the same case with Mukuro which is the more I write for her, the more I like her, Mahiru is, always has been and always will be my all time best girl, and Gundham is GUNDHAM.
//DR3 (I know it's not a game) my top 5 is Munakata Gozu, Miaya, Kizakura and Seiko. Though the unfortunate thing is Seiko is really the only one of those characters that I LOVE. Miaya, Kizakura and Gozu are in the top 5 because I thought they were all pretty decent characters who I liked watching. Munakata sucks ass, but again, Survivor has improved my opinion of him a little bit. The rest of the characters in DR3 can fuck off, they're almost all terrible.
//DRV3 is Gonta, Shuichi, Kaito, Kokichi and Kaede. Kokichi for a long time was my favorite character in the series, but my opinion of him hasn't really stayed strong after all this time. I still love him, but my opinion of Kaede has just gotten stronger and stronger to the point where she's surpassed him. Same is true for Gonta honestly, which is why Shuichi beats him, but I still do love the gentle giant.
//For UDG, I'll say Monaca, Hiroko, Komaru, Kotoko and Nagisa. Again, not a lot of GREAT characters in this game (not the biggest fan of Monaca tbh, I just like her more than Masaru, Jataro and Haiji, and Yuta and Taichi barely had any screentime) but Hiroko is cool, Komaru is actually a pretty unique protagonist compared to everyone else, and Kotoko and Nagisa were complex enough for me to really like both of them compared to their cohorts.
//Another 1 is Mikako, Tsurugi, Akane, Rei and Kanata, though I will give an honorable mention to both Satsuki and Ayame. Kanata is the same case as Chihiro, just this really nice character who shouldn't have died, and the other four are very compelling in their own special way. However, I will say that with SDRA2, Rei got better while Tsurugi got worse in my opinion.
//And Another 2 is Shinji, Hajime, Setsuka, Yoruko and Sora. Unfortunately, like DR3, I think a majority of the characters in SDRA2 are kind of...bad. There's only a handful I can stretch to like the full depth of, but these 5 are really compelling to me. Hajime is the most interesting and sympathetic of the VOID's, Shinji and Setsuka are fun-loving enjoyable characters, and Yoruko and Sora make a really good duo, and great characters in their own right, like Komaru and Toko.

I'm the Timeline Anon that asked the initial question and I thought there could be a real interesting discussion to be had about this While I'm a huge fan of specific changes like making Syo a fictive rather than an actual serial killer or giving Leon some actual screentime, I do disagree on some points, especially on swapping Byakuya and Celeste's positions (not that that's a bad thing, differences in opinion are what make discussions fun after all)
Note that it's been literally 5-6 years since I last watched a full playthrough of the DR games so a lot of what I'll say is based on my mediocre memory and hallucinations I've had in the past half decade so I apologize if I get things wrong xoxo
Long ass rambling (and DR spoilers (and P:EG too for some reason) ig) under the cut, hope you don't mind me referring to you as OP from now on Crane lol
I believe that every student in Class 78 reflects at least an aspect of Makoto. I can't say for sure if the same is true with the casts and protags of SDR2 and DRV3 since I don't obsess over Hajime and Kaede/Shuichi like I do over Makoto, but I think this shows how integral Makoto is to his class. Even without the killing game, these weirdos would've probably been a homicide case or three without him imho
The difference between the ones who die and the ones who survive is that the prior classmates don't learn their lessons while the latter ones at least somewhat do. This is especially visible in Touko/Syo thanks to UDG as well as Byakuya and Kyouko, which is part of what makes them the ideal antagonist and support of DR1 in my eyes (but I'll get to that in more detail later)
So, let's talk about how each character reflects Makoto, how the aspect they share with him differs between them, and then why I believe their deaths are well picked in the progression of the game and Makoto's character arc (and ig also rewrites of THH since that's what the ask was about lmao)
The Skrunklies Characters
Sayaka Maizono
Sayaka reflects Makoto in the fact that both are incredibly trusting right away, especially towards each other. The main difference is in how/why they show and utilize this trust. Makoto trusts basically anyone until they give him reason not to, while Sayaka doesn't trust anyone all that much until they give her reason to, but then she goes all in. She trusts Makoto because she literally saw what a kind soul he was thanks to the story with the crane, so obviously the little hope boy was someone she could be vulnerable with. However, she also saw trust and friends as something that can be used to one's benefit. She used Makoto's trust with the intention of committing murder in his own room and, presumably, blamed it on him, just so she could get out of the school. Obviously, she's not entirely selfish, as she didn't want him to get blamed for Leon killing her, but it doesn't change her inherent flaw in seeing their friendship as a tool, even if just for a moment.
I don't think I need to explain why her being the first victim was a good choice, that's been talked about to hell and back. All I'll say is that her attempted murder tested Makoto's trust in others, allowing him to persevere and grow stronger.
Mukuro Ikusaba
The sixteenth student lying hidden somewhere in this school, the one they call the Ultimate Despair, mirrors Makoto's relationship to his younger sister. This is a bit of a looser connection as others (Yasuhiro, Leon, Aoi, Kyouko, Chihiro, Hifumi, Kiyotaka) had family members on their motive videos, but even stuff like Monaca wanting to make Komaru Junko's successor in UDG gives us some themes to chew on. Both were heavily motivated by their younger siblings, going to extremes for them. Makoto did everything in his power to help Komaru out of Towa City while Mukuro was basically ready to commit any possible atrocity for Junko. Difference is that, while both of their younger sisters returned that love, Komaru's love for Makoto was a lot healthier than the toxic shit between Junko and Mukuro. (Not even going into Despaircest here, I don't feel like hurling right now.) Makoto's love for his sister leads to the two living and managing to somewhat restore their family despite their parents being presumed dead. Mukuro's love for her sister gets her violently killed and her corpse desecrated.
Her death was thematically important for her character, even if we wouldn't find out until 4/5 chapters later. At the same time, it allowed the students to actually fear Monokuma, as they didn't really have a reason to believe he'd execute them yet. (This is the same reason Monomi was blown up at the start of SDR2! They couldn't afford to "waste" a character again in that game.)
Leon Kuwata
I'm gonna have to bullshit a little due to how little meat there is to Leon, but I believe he mirrors Makoto's normality. Everyone else is almost cartoonishly extreme in their personalities and talents (even if they're tame in comparison to SDR2 and DRV3 characters) while Leon is just a somewhat rude, chill guy. Chances are that everyone has met at least one Leon in High School, while Sayakas, Mukuros and so on are a lot more rare. Sure, he has an Ultimate Talent, but so does Makoto, that doesn't really make them that special. They both even have negative relationships with their talents, but Makoto just lacks faith in his while Leon just straight up dislikes being a Baseball Star first in everyone's eyes. It's what he's good at, but he doesn't want to be defined and restricted by it. Makoto, meanwhile, seems to take a good bit of comfort in not being special. Lacking faith in himself, he's really just happy to be here. (And anxious. He's also anxious to be here.)
Leon's death as the first Blackened shows us that even normal people aren't safe, something he basically says himself. If Makoto's Ultimate Luck hadn't given him a slightly fucked up bathroom door, he could've died there. Doing his best to fit in and not pull attention to himself isn't just going to be impossible here; it wouldn't protect him in the slightest anyway.
Chihiro Fujisaki
(Please don't murder me for using he/him here folks, I personally take comfort im headcanoning him not being traditionally masculine while still being seen as a regular cis man. There's a beauty in that in my opinion.)
Chihiro is definitely one of the kindest people in Class 78, possibly the kindest. I believe this is where he mirrors Makoto, as they both seem to push others up as a response to not liking themselves that much. They're also both deeply wounded by the trials. For Makoto himself I'll just take something from this analysis - Makoto looks less and less determined each time he directly confronts a culprit (or Aoi in chapter 4). For Chihiro, I pull your attention to the FTE availability slots. DR1 has a unique mechanic where students can be too depressed to have an FTE. You can spend time with them and give them a gift, which takes up a time slot, but you won't get the event. There are four characters that have this happen: Aoi and Sakura in chapter 4 and Kiyotaka in chapter 3, all of which are for obvious personal plot reasons. Chihiro is depressed at the start of chapter 2. He cares so much about others that he is depressed over the death of 3 people he barely interacted with. But that's also the difference between them: Chihiro's kindness is such a major part of him that it debilitates him. Makoto is far more personally affected by the emotional rollercoaster Sayaka accidentally put him through, but he can still very much have semi-normal social interactions with his classmates. Also, Makoto, especially in his thoughts, is very snarky and anything but a pushover. He deals with Byakuya's or Celeste's shit when he knows that arguing is pointless, but he won't hesitate to point out their actions in 1-2 and 1-3 respectively. I cannot see Chihiro standing his ground the way Makoto does.
And this is why Chihiro's death is also wisely chosen. Chapter 1 is something the cast could've recovered from, living a semi-peaceful school life as 12 students rather than 15. Yknow, if Junko wouldn't use Sakura as a traitor or Mukuro's corpse to frame someone as a murderer. But Chihiro's death in 1-2, similar to Ibuki's in 2-3, is the moment the story's tone shifts towards despair. It also sets up a chain reaction with consequences that last up until chapter 6 (I'll explain later), while fueling Makoto's realization post 1-1 that he can't allow himself to be pushed over anymore, but also to remain empathetic to the fallen, something he quickly shows when he exposes both Byakuya and Mondo for what they did to Chihiro.
Mondo Oowada
Makoto believes that Mondo is strong, and he's not wrong to think that, as the biker gang leader defines himself by his physical strength. However, Makoto is also strong - just mentally rather than physically. I believe that, if one were to ask Class 78 at the beginning of DR1 who the strongest boy is, they'd probably say Mondo, while the survivors would say Makoto at the end of the game. And here's what makes this interesting: they both lack faith in their own strength. Sure, Mondo defines himself by it and Makoto accepts the title of Ultimate Hope, but they don't buy into their own hype. Mondo subconsciously thinks he was weaker than his brother, possibly fearing that he was too weak to save him, while Makoto thinks he's, at best, just slightly more optimistic than others. Ironically, they're strong and weak at the same time. But Mondo falls to it. In a moment of "weakness", a moment of traumatic flashbacks, he commits murder (or manslaughter, depending on how you see it) because the idea of not being strong scares him. Makoto meanwhile believes himself to be rather weak, but rather than lashing out like Mondo, he decides to be like Chihiro and work on himself to be stronger. Mondo withers while Makoto grows.
While I wish that Mondo could've lived a little longer so that we could've seen Makoto face off with him at a more confident stage of his development, him dying in 1-2 was kind of important. First off, if he had been alive during the reveal of Sakura being a traitor, the group could've realistically been a little less uneasy about her since they would've had him as protection. Second, his death causes Kiyotaka to fall apart, causing a beautiful contrast between Taka post-1-2 and Makoto post-1-1, but I'll get to that in a second. Without Mondo dying, 1-3 couldn't have happened, and this is where the chain reaction I mentioned really starts.
Kiyotaka Ishimaru
This is the guy that gave me the realization that everyone kinda mirrors Makoto, primarily thanks to OP's analysis of him. Both Makoto and Kiyotaka latch onto the first person they can and grow dependent on them - Makoto with Sayaka and Kiyotaka with Mondo. Both then promptly have to deal with the fact that their closest confidant intended to commit/committed murder. The difference is that Kiyotaka is almost completely isolated (see the linked analysis) while Makoto has Kyouko to help him through it and can really just befriend anyone. Makoto had a support system while Kiyotaka didn't, he became a shell of himself because the first person he trusted came to, even if indirectly and accidentally, shatter that trust. And nobody besides Yasuhiro really tried to help him get better, unless you consider Makoto optionally talking to him canon. Kiyotaka was alone, showing us a different path Makoto could've taken post-Sayaka.
And we don't know if he could've picked himself up, as he dies before he gets a chance to heal. Kiyotaka's death symbolizes the fate Makoto avoided thanks to Kyouko and the other people he talks to in FTEs. And it's just a tragedy, since Celeste arbitrarily decided to kill two people when one would've been enough, just for the sake of her overly risky murder plan. Kiyotaka is easily in the top 3 most tragic DR1 deaths together with Chihiro and Sakura.
Hifumi Yamada
Oh, look at me, linking OP's relevant analysis again, sue me. Hifumi is incredibly empathetic, similarly to Chihiro and, obviously, Makoto. But a way where Hifumi differs from Chihiro while being similar to Makoto is that he's a people pleaser. His dynamic as a borderline slave to Celeste is kind of a more extreme version of Makoto's relationship with Byakuya. They care about others and want what's best for everyone, even if this leads to both of them occasionally being human doormats. The main difference is that Hifumi has this used against him while Makoto manages to outwit Byakuya when necessary. Now, this isn't Hifumi's fault, as Celeste used something as serious as an SA accusation to get him to do what she wants, but it is a difference between the two. Hifumi was kind of isolated, similar to Kiyotaka, and this led to him making the mistake of trusting the Queen of Liars.
His death was not only a great way to make 1-3 unique, as we didn't have 2 victims before (until 2-3 and V3-3 stole that gimmick) but it also continued the themes of Chihiro's and Kiyotaka's deaths, kindness being punished and needless tragedy respectively. Also, both of them dying was a good way to resolve the whole "arguing over Alter Ego" thing, as just one dying would've been less impactful, made using Alter Ego post-1-3 near impossible and made the mystery less interesting, as it'd be an obvious fakeout that Hifumi killed Taka or Taka killed Hifumi only for someone else to actually be the killer. Yes, Celeste was arguably the most obvious culprit in the game, but just this tension of thinking that Hifumi could've killed Taka only for him to also be dead was a stroke of genius. What can I say, I liked it and it made Hifumi's character stronger.
Celestia Ludenberg
Celeste and Makoto share an obvious theme between them: Luck. She's a gambler and he's the Ultimate Lucky Student. But this is where their similarities kind of end, as they're otherwise, in my opinion, polar opposites. As a gambler, Celeste has been relying on luck for her whole career. Yes, her bluffs and lies can get her far, but if you only get bad hands, you can't really win poker, especially not against other hardened gamblers. This requires a degree of confidence in both her luck and her abilities to use it. Makoto, meanwhile, also had his luck to help him (see Secret File), but it never got recognized until he became the Ultimate Lucky Student. He doesn't really consider it a talent in the first place. Also, she attempts to use her luck for a murder plan while his luck leads to 1-6 being able to happen, letting 6 students survive DR1.
As I said, Celeste bet on her luck that her murder plan in 1-3 would work. The plan was risky and full of holes, and she basically treated it as a gamble. Unfortunately for her, she lost that gamble and was basically instantly recognizable as the murderer. Her death is kind of an ideal way to end her character arc in this game, and that's why I disagree with OP's decision to let her live. Celeste is arrogant and wants to live a lie. While she and Byakuya are similar, his status is genuine. He doesn't have to lie about his heritage or anything, he just is from a wealthy family and worked hard to be recognized as his father's "successful" son, while Celeste kinda bullshitted her way through life, just like she tried to bullshit her way through the murder and trial. She lied about Taka committing SA towards her, she lied about Hifumi being dead, she lied about Yasuhiro supposedly being the culprit. She's the only murderer to actually frame someone in DR1. She has this self-destructive tendency where she wants to be above everyone else, all while making basic mistakes and flying off the handle when things don't go her way. She is a fantastic antagonist, but she never had a chance at surviving a killing game, especially since her philosophy of adapting was just yet another lie of hers. Finally, I'll bring up the chain reaction I mentioned again. Celeste's plan wouldn't have been possible without Kiyotaka being destroyed due to Mondo's execution. Similarly, her every move is so heavily filled with lies and deceit that, even after her death, she causes distrust among the 7 survivors of the trial. Celeste kind of shows just how depraved their classmates can be. And, once they are told that Sakura is a traitor, this distrust causes another death to happen.
Sakura Oogami
I know I'm not the first to point out parallels between Sakura and Makoto, but in short: they both are kind of protectors in my eyes. Sakura's presence is a major visual aspect of the class, partially since she's the tallest. As long as she's there, the class always has some muscle to protect them on a physical level, especially since she shows in 1-4 that she actually is strong enough to resist Monokuma physically. Not even Mondo could do that. Makoto meanwhile is, once again, more of a psychological, but also an ideological protector. He keeps morale up and, had he died in his execution, I'm sure the remaining survivors would've died in the locked up Hope's Peak Academy. The difference is that Sakura is really fucking threatening. It's not just that she's a mountain of muscle, her ripped sleeves wouldn't make anyone look safe to be around. There's a good reason Gonta wears a suit that fits him. Nobody calls him or Nekomaru "ogre", even though they're bigger than her. The SDR2 and DRV3 casts aren't scared of them, but we repeatedly see DR1 characters be terrified by Sakura. She means well and anyone that gets past her looks loves her because she is a sweetheart, but she seemingly doesn't understand that she doesn't carry herself in a way that lets people see her as a protector. If you saw Sakura at night in a dark alleyway, you'd probably shit yourself and make peace with your enemies right before she offers to walk you home in case you're afraid of creeps on the street. Makoto meanwhile is as unthreatening as a person can be.
But this is the beauty of her suicide. Sakura kills herself because she believes that this would keep the group safe, not anticipating that Junko would mess with her note. Sakura's death allows the distrust caused by Celeste to start dissipating, paving the way to Makoto picking up the pieces and getting the remaining students out of Hope's Peak. Without Sakura, they wouldn't be an Ultimate Hope.
Junko Enoshima
Even more so than Celeste, Junko is the polar opposite of Makoto, so I won't pretend she has an obvious similarity to him. Instead, have my interpretation of their ideological conflict. Both of them want to build up hope. Both of them rely on hope for their goals, despite those goals being different. This is because Makoto wants to nurture this hope, doing his best to get people through hard times, while Junko wants to destroy that hope and feel the despair so that she can feel anything. I believe that Makoto doesn't just hate Junko at the end of DR1 for causing the killing game, at least part of him is also utterly disgusted at how she abuses the hope she builds up in people.
Her death allows the suffering to end. It's just the beginning, but it allows the survivors to move on - to finally graduate from Hope's Peak Academy while she would prefer to rot in this cursed high school. I don't think I need to argue the point of her dying any further, she's the actual villain of the game and she literally can't live if we want a semblance of a happy ending.
Aoi Asahina
Hina is a beacon of positivity, joining Chihiro and Hifumi in being "nice" like Makoto. They keep morale up and make sure the group doesn't hate each other 24/7. But here's the difference: while Makoto is also a snarky brat at times and Hina's bubbly personality is real, her positivity is kind of fake. Or, at least, it comes with conditions and asterisks. She writes off Hifumi even though he isn't really all that perverted in the main story (ignore his FTEs, I refuse to acknowledge those). She mocks Yasuhiro. She responds to a shitty comment from Byakuya by escalating to punches, causing a physical fight with Syo. She's not unjustified in her actions, and she clearly shows a loving side to most people, especially in how she treats Sakura, but it's clear that she's not as good with conflict or less agreeable people as Makoto is. And when she thinks that Sakura was brought to suicide by her classmates' mistreatment, Aoi makes possibly the greatest mistake of her life.
She lives because she learns. She accepts that she's flawed and realizes that she needs to appreciate everyone that sticks by her, even if they don't always get along. She doesn't need to be best friends with Touko and Byakuya, they just need to not jump to each other's throats when talking things out is much better in the long term and she, thankfully, realizes that before it's too late.
Yasuhiro Hagakure
Similar to Leon, Hiro kinda lacks some meat on his thematic bones, but I'll try to make it work. Yasuhiro is the oldest of the group and, although he's often the punching bag, he does show his maturity and ability to be an older brother type figure at times. He's the only one to actively look out for Kiyotaka in the main story and takes the position of group leader between him and Makoto taking those roles. Makoto later takes this role due to his own maturity, but this is where the difference comes in. Makoto had to build it up, while Hiro had it from the start. It's only natural, Hiro is 20 (22) while Makoto is 17 (19). Yasuhiro simply had more time to grow as a person and went through things not every teenager did like an absent father. However, this also shows Hiro's weakness: he's kinda stuck in his ways. He mainly relies on himself, which is especially shown through his dependance on clairvoyance.
Him learning that he needs to keep moving forward and not remain stagnant is why he lives. Yes, he was held back a few years in school, but it's high time he graduates and moves into the adult world he was supposed to already be a part of.
Touko Fukawa
Loyalty is the first word that comes to mind when I think of Touko. She's loyal to a fault when it comes to Byakuya, forgiving him for the pretty shitty act of revealing her (horribly inaccurately portrayed) DID to the class. Similarly, she basically leads Komaru to her doom in UDG for the sake of getting Byakuya back, but I'll get to that in a sec. Makoto is also very loyal to everyone. He's loyal to Sakura, which is why he doesn't just randomly tell Kyouko about what he saw in the gym until he could talk to her himself. He's loyal to Kyouko, which is why he doesn't reveal her lie in 1-5, risking his own execution because he sticks by her side. And he's loyal to the other survivors, convincing them to be loyal to him as well. Notice how Makoto is loyal to multiple people while Touko, except for the very end, spends DR1 being only loyal to Byakuya. It's an obsession and would've realistically led to her doom had he died in the game. While I want her to move on from him, she realistically wouldn't be able to, at least not right after 1-2.
But Touko has a future. She learns to show loyalty to Makoto. And, later, she's loyal enough to Komaru to not betray her after all. She slowly starts to move on from obsession and grows more accustomed to positive attention from people she can trust.
Genocider Syo
Something I notice between Syo and Touko is that, for some odd reason, they have completely different eyes. Not only is the color different, but also the general shape of it and everything. Syo's eyes kind of visually burn due to her passion for everything - but especially cute boys and murder. Makoto does match this passion somewhat, but there's, as always, a difference. Makoto is passionate about ending the killing game and saving his friends. Syo is passionate about murdering boys she thinks are cute, save for Byakuya. It's a simple contrast of constructive passion vs destructive passion, but I think it works (and makes their interactions fucking hilarious).
Syo doesn't really learn much, but she likes her friends enough to not kill for them and I think that's all one can realistically want from her. She's perfect with and without the murders <3 Oh and I guess she does grow as a person, especially in UDG, but that just makes her more perfect.
Anyway, time for me to become a hypocrite when I call Touko obsessive.
Byakuya Togami
I will refer to this post by OP, but not for the "he wouldn't kill and should live" argument, I'll get to that in a moment. Byakuya is so determined that I think he could be an Untertale protagonist. He decides that he'll live and he sticks to this decision. He decides that he'll make the killing game interesting and he sticks to it. His decisions are something he sticks to. And this matters, because he actively chooses to ignore Junko's bullshit and side with Makoto in the end.
Kyouko Kirigiri
Kyouko, as a detective, is defined by the idea of searching for the truth. I will happily say that her relationship with Celeste as a liar is one that could've been explored more, but that was kind of the idea of DRV3. Thematically, her caring about the truth is relevant because she realizes that she doesn't always know the truth, especially in ways that require emotional intelligence, something Makoto clearly has her beat at. For example, she thinks that the truth is that she stopped caring for her father, but it's pretty clear that it isn't.
And no, reader, I didn't forget to point out the similarities or reasons why they live, because-
Kyouko, Byakuya, and why they are Makoto's perfect support and antagonist
Kyouko and Byakuya mold Makoto more than anyone else in Danganronpa as a whole does. He adopts similar determination and interest in the truth as they possess, but that is explicitly part of his development through the game. These two aspects are what's missing from Pre-HPA Makoto before he can be called the Ultimate Hope. 1-1 Makoto cowers away, prefering to think Sayaka is a blameless victim in what happened in his room. He learns from these two in a way he couldn't have if, say, Sayaka and Celeste had taken their roles. Both work as fantastic fakeouts that later fall to murder motives to further test him, but only Byakuya and Kyouko could stick with him to the end.
And this goes beyond his development, it's theirs as well. Both of them are kind of loners, wanting to do things on their own. They don't really trust others, but they decide to use Makoto kind of as a pawn in 1-5 and 1-2 respectively. Kyouko has no malicious intentions, but her actions almost got Makoto killed. Byakuya says he would've revealed the truth of Chihiro's murder, but would anyone have believed him? If Makoto hadn't been there to do what he did, they would've died in those chapters. And I think they realize that, they're pretty smart after all. They're loners and Makoto isn't, but he makes them realize that they kind of need other people, especially him.
This is what makes them ideal to form a trio with him. They teach him to be the Ultimate Hope, he teaches them to be human. Byakuya and Kyouko meanwhile keep each other on their toes in a way Makoto can't. These three people kind of need each other. I believe that, if one of them was missing, DR1 would've never had a happy ending.
Yes, this essay was really just me explaining why I think Naegamigiri is superior to Komahinanami and Saioumatsu, you have all been deceived.
Alright, let's finally talk about the Rewrite part
Oh yeah, this was how this started, huh? Again, I like OP's rewrite and it does a lot of things I'd definitely keep in a reimagining of DR1, especially a multi-perspective investigation in 1-6.
As much as I like DR1's story and consider it the best one in DR when it comes to cohesiveness (see the chain reaction I discussed), it's flawed enough that one can definitely improve on it, especially in departments related to the poor DID representation, fatphobia and racism. (Read OP's character analyses for the latter two and, uh, DR1 for the DID bit.)
One change I'd personally add is actually something similar to OP giving Celeste a survivor role: just generally giving her more of a presence. She is a good foil for Makoto and has an interesting relationship to Kyouko, she just doesn't work as a survivor in my opinion.
(Project: Eden's Garden spoiler incoming! Skip to the paragraph below to avoid!)
If she had a relationship with Byakuya akin to Eva and Damon's from P:EG, I think that'd be pretty good. Two loners that have each other, only for the one that is genuinely more dangerous to actually commit murder, making the less extreme one rethink himself a little. Byakuya would've fallen on his face in 1-2, tried to and failed to defend Celeste in 1-3, then almost broken down in 1-4. He would've thought he was so much smarter than everyone else and only trusted the one worth trusting but, unlike Damon, he wouldn't have realized his mistake on his own. I think this would've been neat and given DR1 a secondary antagonist besides Byakuya.
(P:EG spoiler over!)
But I believe that the decisions on who dies, who lives, and who dies when is basically perfect for this cast. The themes could've definitely been handled better, especially Yasuhiro and Leon need some more emphasis on their characters and roles in the story, but otherwise it's insanely good.
Anyway I wrote this all on Tumblr and just checked via Google Docs, this shit was 10 pages long, someone help me. I didn't know I could ramble this much about a game I haven't directly watched a playthrough of in half a decade.
Anyway hi Crane it is I Timeline Autism Anon hello
I will make a response to your DR2 rewrite some other day I spent like 6 hours on this and need a break
If you got to rewrite the Danganronpa series with the creative restriction that you can't change more than one survivor per game (as in, swapping one alive and one dead person) and freely move the deaths around (can you tell I didn't like Hiyoko's death?)
What changes would you make?
You've made good points of Kodaka completely lacking tact when handling serious subjects, like all the sexual stuff in these games about teenagers, or more personal issues with him like racism, but I'm curious how those kinda issues can be fixed
- Timeline Autism Anon
Oh, timeline anon. Sweet timeline anon. You have unleashed the beast.
So, you're specifying that the only change that can be made to the characters' order is that one dear and one living character can swap, no more shuffling beyond that. Intriguing. I've never worked under such constraints, but I welcome the challenge! And hell, for the fun of it, I'll even include UDG
TRIGGER HAPPY HAVOC- ONE SWAP
I'm saving Celeste here, 100%. While I did consider saving Taka at first, I think ultimately there's some foiling and narrative contrast to be has between his death and Hina's survival that I wouldn't want to go to waste but having them both live, and Celeste as the antagonist is just too tempting to pass up. It should come as no surprise, then, that the one I'm swapping in as the chapter 3 killer is Byakuya.
But I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's break this down, chapter by chapter, on how I'd alter THH's overall story even with this being the only change to the roster order
CH 1
While I'm unable to save either Sayaka or Leon (or Mukuro) here, we can give a little more screentime to Leon, namely by giving him some more character scenes here and there. My first thought is to have him see Makoto and Sayaka in the hall on their way to the gym and offer to join them (safety in numbers) and ends up also being part of the "dream" conversation. There's some contrast to be has there between him and Sayaka as he insists on hating his talent and trying to find a new dream, and a couple different angles you could take with it. I think game leans towards him being shallow and lazy at first, but I'd much prefer an interpretation where he doesn't know what his dream is and supposes it's to find something he's passionate about.
CH 2
Step 1. Make Chihiro and Mondo trans (fem and masc respectively). Step 2. Really really push against gender norms and the idea of having to 'pass' and why that's harmful.
Bonus step! Jack is a fictive of a fictional murderer from one of Byakuya's fav mystery novels. Also she and Toko aren't the only alters. Also also they didn't continue to be in love with him after he outs them
CH 3
Ah, the meat of the changes. Having Byakuya as the ultimate killer is made even more difficult by the fact that Hifumi is both killer and victim, meaning that Byakuya can only be the killer of Hifumi and Hifumi must have a reason to kill Taka. So what do we do?
Byakuya has harped on the idea that you can't judge the motivations of others by your own experiences from the very beginning of the game. It stands to reason, then, that he could be inspired to take advantage of the money motive by knowing that no one in the class would suspect him, the ultimate Rich Guy, as killing for what's loose change to him, only for him to fall to his own logic. Makoto and Kyoko are smart enough to put together that he could take advantage of everyone else's assumptions, and Kyoko in particular doesn't make assumptions outright. So we have a reasonable and flawed-in-character motivation for him to act now.
So, why does Hifumi kill Taka? If Byakuya is the killer, does he end up being the one to steal Alter Ego? I think no. In this case, I think it's Hifumi himself who breaks, developing a connection to Alter Ego that turns to obsession when the rest of the class pointedly tells him no, and plots to escape with her. In his desperation, I think I'd like to play off of his almost-friendship with Toko to have her unknowingly play a part in his murder plan by swiping the laptop, appealing to her own hopeless romantic side to convince her to take it while he enacts his plan to kill Kiyondo. (Sidenote: give Kiyondo some FTEs, and have people actually mourn his death more. His death as a result of his isolation works much better if Makoto AT LEAST is aware that his death was preventable had they paid attention.)
Now, here's where things get interesting. Byakuya doesn't follow the nighttime rule, so assuming Hifumi goes through with killing Taka at night, he could find the body before anyone else. That let's him know another murder case is already taking place, and gives him the final push to act now. Hifumi is a sloppy killer, and Byakuya can take advantage of that. So he quickly retraces Hifumi's steps to find him attempting to pin the crime on Hiro, and does a bit of 'messing with the scene' again, only this time, he adds a corpse of his own.
The plan is easy. Kill Hifumi, leave all the easily-torn-apart evidence of Hiro being framed, let the class connect the dots. Hiro found out he was being framed and tried to silence Hifumi, but was too stupid to clean up after himself. Even if they manage to prove Hiro's innocence somehow, Byakuya actually *knows* to pick up after himself. He can remove any implication that he was ever there.
His mistake was Toko. Toko still had the laptop. And when Hifumi never arrived, she went out, not to find Hifumi, but to find Byakuya. Because Toko isn't stupid. Because Toko learned firsthand mere days ago that Byakuya CANNOT be trusted. And she finds him somewhere he shouldn't be, using the trash room key he stole off of Hifumi to dispose of the evidence. And in the end, it's Toko's testimony that proves his undoing. See, he knew she saw him. He just assumed she wouldn't speak out against him. He assumed he knew her motivations, that he was better. He wasn't.
His other mistake was Hiro. Hiro, for everything his classmates see him as, isn't stupid, and giving Makoto the chance to stand up for him and help clear his name the way Kyoko did in chapter 1 would be really great and was literally entirely possible to do within the main game without changing anything, seriously, why were they allergic to giving Hiro character moments or positive connections outside of gags that punch down-
CH 4
This one is easy. If you've ever seen the stageplay, you probably have a good idea of what I'm adding here. Celeste takes advantage of Sakura's sacrifice by being the only one not to attack her, helping her lock the door and watching her drink the poison, only to then turn on her and begin attacking, turning the case into a 50/50 gamble. Hina watches her do it. And Celeste stays in the room, waiting for her to find the others and break in. They won't let Hina kill her, no matter how much she wants to. That would just make her the new blackened.
I think Hina's downward spiral would be elevated by having such a specific target at first, only for Kyoko and Makoto to discover even more wounds and have to find the source of the injuries. Pushing her to try and tank the trial and kill everyone who hurt Sakura at once would be an especially interesting angle, her betting on it being the poison not to save everyone, but to kill everyone, Celeste included. Of course, the majority would likely end up voting Sakura regardless, and that leaves Hina to try and pick up the pieces after hearing Sakura's letter, and leaves Celeste- Taeko- to live with the consequences of her actions, having lost the gamble and lost everything.
CH 5
I think this is a Hiro opportunity to have him act like the older brother figure he was meant to be, particularly for Hina. I mean, she went through the fucking ringer last chapter, she deserves some space to sit with it and come to forgive herself, and Hiro, who was first to attack Sakura, being the one to give her that time and genuinely apologize would be a great moment for both of them. Similarly, I think Toko and Jack getting more comfortable with the other members of the cast and being less of a nuisance would be awesome. Jack is literally a serial killer alter; who better than her to sympathize with Taeko's insatiable desires? She could get Taeko to be more comfortable as herself, and we'd actually get to see glimpses of that deep-seated insecurity she really has. Alternatively, the two of them being manga buddies would really work too.
Anyways, I think Taeko would have a looooooot of work to do to regain everyone's favor, and honestly, I'm fine with her not earning it back outright, instead making it clear she's given up on adaptation but wants to throw herself into escaping and uncovering the mastermind instead. And while there'd definitely be a divide within the cast, I think Makoto would be the one to convince them a truce for the sake of freedom is the best course of action.
Now, the whole Mukuro-corpse shenanigan would def still be happening, but having Taeko Yasuhiro, professional liar, here to identify the similarities between Mukuro's body and "Junko's" would certainly make for an interesting mix-up. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that it could perhaps be Taeko who's now blamed and framed for the murder, and that the class' new apprehension for her working against her would make for a pretty damning verdict, especially when Kyoko is forced to protect herself.
(Taeko surviving the execution being a shining symbol of her gambler's luck would also go so hard if she has a character moment figuring out what's going on and places her bets on Kyoko, but maybe that's just the Celesgiri shipper in me talking who's to say lol)
CH 6
Mostly same, only Makoto and Kyoko work together to rescue Taeko while the others use Kyoko's secret tool to investigate without technically breaking rules. It'd give each character something unique to provide to the final trial, and maybe even a split POV style investigation amongst the entire cast? Hell, if we're going that far, switching into Taeko in chapter 5 could be a strong move as well.
This has honestly gotten. Very rambly. I should've anticipated how much I would have to say about this but oh well lol. I will do the other games Later someone remind me

S/O: "Sitting drinking coffee or drinking"
DRV3 cast: S/O what are you doing we need to investigate the murderer that just happen!
S/O: No need for I already know who the killer/blackened.
DRV3 cast: Really. You know who was it. Then who is the killer?
S/O: It's me.
DRV3 cast: What! Or WHAT DID YOU SAY? Or THIS NOT TIME FOR JOKES!
S/O: I said I'm the killer I killed him.
DRV3: WHY?
S/O: Because he/she was planning to kill you! I was taking a stroll and walked on them planning the murder. And saw they were planning on killing you. I tried to just stop them but ended up killing him/her. So now I am waiting for the trial right now and will confess.
What V3 cast reaction to this.
Okay, this is a fun idea that I would love to do, but--
I don't do full cast requests anymore
And 2. Requests are closed in the first place
But do feel free to send this back in once they're open

After three days worth of work, and a whopping 26 hours of pen to tablet drawing time (according to procreate), I present: them.
I was originally going to do no references, but then I decided I didn’t hate myself. Then I was going to do no symmetry tool, but then I decided I didn’t hate myself. Not all of these are perfect, but I’m glad I finished it!

This was actually REALLY interesting to read, because you bring up a good point! I never noticed it before, but the kind of humor and "fun" in DRv3 comes from it's absurdity, and not from character interactions or, more specifically, character related absurdity.
V3's Absurdity comes into play more with the setting. The giant glass dome, how different areas are unlocked and explored, the surrealism of it all--and ofc the interaction between the Monokubs and the rest of the cast.
The characters feel more like puppets for the setting's absurdity, making them feel more like real people trapped in a really absurd but really tragic situation rather than them bringing their own absurdity to the table. They become helpless to their situation. They resort to escapism until another tragedy strikes.
And that tragedy (usually) preys on their over all good natures. Kaede was trying to save everyone from the time limit. Kirumi was trying to save the greater majority and protect her nation. Gonta and Kokichi were trying to mercy kill everyone before they saw The Secret of the Outside World. Kaito and Kokichi tried to stop the killing games once and for all. Kiibo sacrifices himself for the others to escape into the "real" world.
Aside from Korekiyo, every one of the blackened had good intentions. Interestingly, selflessness is the culprit of these crimes, not selfishness.'
You can even say Korekiyo's motive, for how awful canon did him dirty, was "selfless" in that he was killing girls due to a severely misguided love for his dead sister and wanting to send her 100 friends due to her living a very lonely life. I wouldn't say he had "good" intentions, but his motives weren't the breed of selfish you'd expect.
Meanwhile, THH and GD had more selfish characters. Sayaka tried to kill Leon (and he killed her back) to escape. Mondo killed Chihiro out of jealous rage. Celeste literally killed for money. Sakura was the only selfless one in THH for killing herself. Junko even killed herself to selfishly experience her Ultimate Despair.
In GD, Teruteru killed to escape to see his mother. Peko killed to save Fuyuhiko (which is a weird blend of selfishness and selflessness that I don't have the brains to get into rn). Mikan remembered her true nature and killed because of it. Nekomaru and Gundham had a fight to the death to save themselves/the others from starving to death, but Gundham still fought for his own life so another weird blend of selfless and selfishness. Nagito literally tricked someone into killing him.
It's actually interesting to think about how the V3 class would have all died together if not for Kaede, too. No one else was planning to kill anyone. Not even Korekiyo.
And that's not to say I think the THH or GD casts are bad people for their more "selfish" reasons. Most of the ones who acted in selfishness only did so because of the horrible situation they were put in.
But because V3 was full of characters who's motivations were, for the most part, extremely selfless in some way, the game turns into even more of a tragedy than the previous games because it makes the game feel more... hopeless. Like no "good" (I put this in quotations because murder is murder after all) Deed Goes Unpunished. And tbh I think that was the intention.
I don't think V3 was trying to be like THH or GD. I think that's why it feels so different from the other two games. It's a tragedy with absurdity, not a tragedy-comedy.

Good god this took me literal hours!
Anyway to sort of jumpstart my new blog, A NEW THEORY FOR YOU ALL! That's right, I'm dropping the UnweavingLies professional shtick and being absolutely batshit insane.
I'm just kidding xD The theory itself is (mostly) serious, I'm just so brain dead from working on it for so long today that I'm gonna just fall over now.
Anyway, enjoy!

honey you e got a big storm coming
35, 39, 47, 48, 51, 56, 83 hee hee
MAPLE.
Tumblr media
35. A character who should’ve got more character development?
like. sooooo many of them lol. can i say the entire cast of v3? because honest to god that's my answer -- even my faves in v3 leave Something to be desired
beyond that, i actually think that thh and gbd do a really good job of stretching characters to their maximum narrative utility before killing them off, and i do feel like in both games the most narratively flexible ones are the ones who live. i think if i had to say anyone from those games it'd probably be leon or sayaka just because the way the free time events work in trigger happy havoc work mean they get like three events and then they die and you never get to know more lmfaoo (but even then i still don't think their characters are Lacking in the way that the v3 cast is for me. sorry for being a v3 hater lol)
39. Smartest murder plan?
komaeda's, obviously LMFAO. god every time i replay sdr2 chapter 5 im struck by it all over again. like they literally had to guess!! even with nanami revealing herself! even then! they still had to be like well. hope his luck actually worked out! king popped off and the entire trial is SO good for advancing the plot and tying off hinata's dynamics with BOTH komaeda and nanami! the moment of sickening clarity when hinata realizes that he DOES understand how komaeda's brain works, and knows what his intentions really were? nanami and hinata's final goodbye? uuuugh sdr2 chapter 5 i love youuuuu.
rest under the cut bc Long.
47. A headcanon you have about a character?
*pushes two million unfinished drafts of Togami Headcanons to the side* i am going to talk about komaru. i think she's a butch lesbian and every time she's depicted as feminine in fanart my soul dies a little even though butch komaru exists solely in my head. i also think she's really sporty, but i've talked about that elsewhere hehe.
ok i'll talk about togami a little bit. it's 100% projection but i think he's agender. not in a way where he like. actively thinks about it -- even at Full Self-Actualization i'm not sure if i ever see him actually realizing it and actively thinking about himself in that way -- but i just dont think he as any particular connection to being a *man* outside of how it plays into his attraction to other men/his family's expectations of producing heirs. like he just kind of is how he is and doesn't feel compelled to make any particular effort to present as masculine. i could make a joke here about his gender just being Togami, but genuinely i do think that rings true. he's not a boy or a girl but a secret third thing (byakuya togami™️) does this make sense. like. to anyone (<- projecting and insane) whatever. i think he would look nice in a floor length skirt.
48. Favourite OST?
i... usually play the games on silent :X legit i know like 3 songs including mr monokumas lesson. just tried to remember what beautiful days sounded like and the wii sports theme is what my brain supplied (<- embarrassed)
i WILL say that i think drv3 has the best opening track of any of the games. its so jazzy and fun hehe
51. Character you thought you were gonna dislike but loved in the end?
mmm. hard to say, honestly? it's been so many years since i formed first impressions of the thh and gbd casts that i kind of dont even remember what i first thought of them? i have a lot of v3 characters who i thought i would like and wound up feeling kind of ehh about, but that's not the question lol
i think, Big Terrible Writing Choice aside, i was really surprised by how much i wound up actually *liking* korekiyo? like okay OBVIOUSLY they took his character in a terrible direction but before that when he's just like, a weird little freak? that ruled lol
in terms of characters that i've had full turnarounds in opinion over the course of 2012-2022? i remember not particularly liking/caring about kirigiri, sayaka, fukawa, souda, or gundam when i first read the playthroughs of their games, and now they're some of my favorites hehe. but that's less about me going *into* the games thinking i wouldnt like them -- because in both cases i went in completely blind -- and more about them growing on me like a fungus over successive playthroughs lol
56. Best free time events?
ok. take this with a grain of salt because i'm stalled out in my sdr2 replay rn so i haven't redone the free time events for that game in awhile/haven't done any v3 ftes besides maki's and ouma's because im a hater.
i think kirigiri has really good fte's. i love that she gets a little sillay in them and how subtle her progression from "why are you talking to me" to "i care deeply about you" is. i also really appreciate how the game cutting her off as an option for free time at certain points serves to make that progression feel really natural with the game's actual plot. love you miss kirigiri.
mondo's are really great as well, he's such a fun guy to interact with and him talking about wanting to be a carpenter and loving his stupid tiny dog and being too nervous to ask girls out all add such levity to his character and make it SO sad when he dies. like damn that biker gang leader trapped in a murder game really is just like. some guy in high school :-( i also loved that they brought him wanting to be a carpenter back in dr:s! made my heart soar uuuuugh i love you mondo, sorry i never ever talk about you
komaeda gets an honorable mention for his botched love confession. buddy you did So Bad.
83. Least favourite chapter?
[staring myself down in the mirror] i will not hate on v3 this time i will not hate on v3 this time i will not hate on--
chapter 4 of v3 was soooo boring guys. i hated the virtual world and idk if it was just me but the controls for it were just. nightmarish. whatever lets talk about the games i do like.
i also agree with @ovidiomedes about thh's c3 kind of dragging. it's one of my favorite trials, but the actual chapter is. really slow lol. i think part of that is due to the anticipation of chapters 4-6 which are some of my all time favorites across all three games, but i think it has larger narrative problems that contribute to that dragging feeling ://

I am Ryoma and Ryoma is me
Beta!AU as John Mulaney quotes
Beta!AU belongs to @kagazuly check it out yo
Shuichi - You could pour soup in my lap and I’d probably apologise to you.
Rantaro -  College was like a four-year game show called “Do My Friends Hate Me or Do I Just Need to Go to Sleep?” But instead of winning money, you lose $120,000.
Kirumi - I’ll keep all my emotions right here, and then one day I’ll die.
Miu - Fourteen years ago, I smoked cocaine before my college graduation. Now, I am afraid to get a flu shot. People change!
Kaito - You can go very far in life if you pretend to know what you’re doing.
Ryoma - Top three colleges? I thought I would be dead in a trunk with my hand hanging out of the taillight by now.
Ouma - I have had a very long day. I am very small. And I have no money. So you can imagine the kind of stress that I am under.
Himiko - I try to stay a little optimistic. Even though I will admit, things are getting pretty sticky.
Tenko - *throws a bottle on the ground* SCATTER!!!
Gonta - Everyone, get out of my way! I just wanna sit here and feed my birds.
Kaede - Hi, I’m very gay. I’d like a few dollars.
Maki - NO!!! THAT’S THE THING I’M SENSITIVE ABOUT!!!
Kiibo - Sometimes babies will point at me and I do not care for that shit at all.
Angie - And then you’re asked to reject Satan, just as highschool is beginning when you need him the most?
Tsumugi - God, I guess they’re finally gonna kill us all. Alright…This is younger than I thought it would be, but we are pretty big assholes.
Kiyo - Whatever. This might as well happen. Adult life is already so goddamn weird.
