Lately like in my own personal masculine ethos ive been shaving my head and doing like rougher shit not caring about my appearance and trying to equip myself to be more dangerous and competent rather than palatable. Even tho people seem to be upset with masculinity. In the sense that like even ppl who are supportive of my transition also have it in their heads that i still need to be feminine and are attached to how pretty i look and how dainty i am and get so mad when i dress like shit and dont have cute lil curly hair. Like you ever notice how nobody ever gets on cis men about "boy room" and not moisturizing or whatever?

Sometimes I laugh when I think back to that post an anti made on twitter a while back, claiming that Wang Zhuocheng was a bad actor because he conveyed too many emotions through his performance and as such mischaracterised Jiang Cheng (you know.. the character that went on a fucking rollercoaster of emotions throughout the story..)..

What they really mean is that they felt something watching his performance and refuse to accept that he's a great actor playing an equally great role and they're just mad that he played it so well that they actually sympathised with the character. 😊

Actually I’m still not over writing prompt s not only accusing Palestinian and Arab bloggers who have been here and doing activism for years of being a scam ring, but proceeding to double down and ignore any evidence to the contrary because they were ‘clearly’ scammers.

Y’know what a scammer does when they get called out or someone publicly voices suspicion? They cut and run. Scams are a cost benefit analysis and once you’re got, you’re GOT and you need to take your money and run. Diminishing returns hits hard after you’re accused of running a scam (and if you are, it’s a LOT of work to fabricate the necessary evidence). There’s no financial reason to insist innocence - the honey moon phase is over and it’s on to the next mark.

So when the people you accuse of being scammers don’t go quiet? Don’t take the money and scram? That’s a pretty dead give away that they’re not running a scam - no seasoned con artist (and you would have to be experienced to run a scam on the scale writing prompt s was writing conspiracy essays about) would stick around after that.

I've never outright said specifically what I think about the Israel-Palestine conflict, and the reason was that I didn't think anyone cared what I, personally, had to say about it. And no one should! I am one single person with no influence and no particular understanding of global politics. Most people do not need to weigh in on most things, and that goes doubly for me. My head is full of comic book trivia and Beatles lyrics, and the rest is packed with sawdust. I am a deeply unserious person, and I should be regarded as such if I'm regarded at all.

All of that said, this last week has changed my mind about how I react to this conflict. For one thing, I've had people make assumptions about what I think that are completely untrue. It's beyond frustrating to have words put in your mouth, but to a certain extent it's on me for not saying anything. And you know, call it ego, but I can't stand the idea that anyone thinks I'm okay with what is being done to Palestine. I'm not, I don't want anyone to think I am. It's sick, it's evil. There's no other word for it.

I have a lot of complicated feelings, and I am still sorting out what to say and how to say it. But It's undeniable that we're watching an atrocity unfold. And I don't really know what to do about that. Pray, I guess. I know that thoughts and prayers are shorthand for not doing anything, but it's all I've got. It's probably going to do at least as much good as posting, anyway. I guess the main thing I've come to is that I can't look away anymore. I've been trying not to think about this because I didn't know what to say. I still don't know what to say. But I'm not going to be a coward about it anymore.
